Chap 18

After making sure that baby Leon is sleeping in the crib, Geo put the mosquito net he made over the crib. It is light and will not make the baby feel hot. He tied the net on the crib post to make sure it won't fell down. After rechecking all the things inside the house. He took a basket and walk to the back of their house. After looking left and right, making sure nobody is watching he jump to the trees and disappearing in the forest. Just 20 minutes and he is back carrying a basket of different grasses and other leafy stuff. He puts the basket down and check Leon. Just enough time, the baby wakes up and cry. Changing his diaper and making him milk. Geo pulls the crib to the front door so he can still watches Leon while he makes his medicine.

He doesn't plan to cook it inside the house because the smell will be unbearable for the baby. He is in the middle of their front yard. There are small sprouts everywhere thanks to Geo's diligence.

Finding a place he went and dig a small hole to place an improvised stove.

"Ahh...Ahh.."

Geo looks back and see Leon standing up while he leans on the crib.

Geo let go of the stove and hurry to Leon. "O my goodness. My baby is a genius." He said happily.

Leon chuckles and sway his hand trying to reach Geo. Geo went to wash his hand and pat his clothes to make sure there is no soil or dirt. They he came and carry Leon on his arms. After swaying him to the air a couple of times making the baby laugh and giggles, the baby is finally tired. Geo laughs and put him on his lap. When he looks up the sky is already red.

"Oh. I forgot what I am doing. Leon's cuteness is too destructive." He said poking Leon's cheek.

The baby giggles trying to catch his finger. "Baby lie down on the crib first. Mommy has a lot of stuff to do before it gets dark."

After he puts Leon on the crib and gives him a rattling toy Wally made the baby play by himself.

Geo went to wash the plants and cut them. Separate what is meant to go together and what is not.

After that he light a fire in the improvised stove and put water.

While he waits for it to boil. He went to the kitchen and also light it to make dinner. Doing two things at the same time while making sure that Leon is properly taken care of.

It was tiring but you can see Geo happily doing it.

After he puts the rice to cook. And the water outside is boiling, he puts the 'grasses' inside but not all of it. Then wash his hand and play with Leon for minutes. After the pot's lid of the rice clatters. He stood up carrying Leon and just let the lid slightly open. Then he went and put Leon down the crib giving him a milk before he gets out to feed the critters. He also check the boiling water outside and seeing the color changes to green he adds another thing on it and then something more. This time it is not a grass but a ginger like plant.

Geo wipes his forehead after he mixes the formula inside that become thick and sticky.

He looks back and see Leon standing up again watching him.

He smiles. He heard a lot of mother saying their fatigue disappear when they see their children smiling. He always think it was exaggeration on their part but now he realize that they are really telling the truth.

"You are watching Mommy?"

The baby smiles and waves his hand that is holding the rattle and it made a noise. Geo laughs. Seeing him made the baby laugh too.

Geo takes Leon and carry him then he moves the crib only using his other arm.

"What are you doing?"

Geo is startled. He doesn't feel anyone getting near him. But when he realize that it was Wally he smiles.

It was,maybe, an animal instinct? How can you be wary of your own mate?

"Welcome home." Geo said and smile at Wally.

Wally frowns. "I'm back." He looks at Geo struggling to move the crib. "Just let me do this." He took the crib back to their room.

"It is not that heavy." Geo followed him. "Where is my kiss?"

Wally place the crib on their room. Then he takes Leon on his arm. Raise him up and down until the baby laugh. Then he kisses Leon. Geo on the side is frowning. Wally looks at him and smile. He kisses his lips while he use one hand to stroke his face.

"I love you." Saying sweet whispers.

Geo blushes and lightly punch Wally's shoulder.

"I will cook the rest of our dinner. Play with baby Leon while you are resting."

"Okay. And don't carry heavy things from now on."

Geo frowns. "It is not heavy."

"You are carrying Leon. It is not comfortable." Wally said.

Geo shakes his head. "I won't if you are around."

"Hey!"

Geo looks back and stick his tongue and then he hurried to leave.

Wally is laughing inside the room. Even the baby is giggling.

Geo is in the good mood so he went to cook additional meat meal.

After that he checks the fire on the stove outside and continue to stir. Making sure it is already enough stickiness. He takes it out of the fire and drop a lot of sugar and stir it again while the syrup is still hot. After that he put the lid and make it completely melt the sugar in it's own.

When he went inside the house Wally is serving the food in the table and putting the plate while carrying Leon.

"Let me do that." Geo said blushing. He forgot because of what he is doing outside.

"It is fine. What are you doing outside?"

"It's a fever medicine."

"???? Where did you learn it?" Wally stares at him.

Geo stares at Wally. How can he explain? There is no doctor in their family. And if lied about being a family recipe, he can easily confirm if it is true because Alli's family is in the same village.

Seeing his discomfort Wally rubs his head. "I am not asking so you will feel pressured. If you want to sell it in town you have to get permission of the Doctor's Association. If you want to sell it in the medicine shop, they will test it first to make sure that the recipe will be effective and not cause physical harm." Wally remembers an old lady from the village. Her husband is the late doctor. She tried imitating the doctors medicine because he didn't gave her the recipe before he died. The texture and the ingredients is the same but the effect is greatly different. The old lady was taken and put to jail for 6 months for trying to sell a fraud medicine.

Geo looks at Wally and he hugs his waist. "I love you husband."

Wally is startled but then he smiles and rubs Geo's head. "I love you too wife."

The baby's rattle made the two laugh.

"Let's eat. The baby must be hungry." Wally said and play with Leon.

"Okay." Geo chuckles.

Husband and wife talks about what they do when they are not together. Wally told about Marvin and how he almost got rip off. Wally told him that Leon stands on his own twice.

There's laughter inside the house. Even if outside it was chilling cold. It seems they are unable to feel that.

I want to brag.

I dream that Sheldon Cooper(Jim Parson) visits here and we talk face to face!!!!!!!!!!! And I am trying to get his signature but I can't find a paper that is satisfying enough for me. I search and search and when I got one....he is gone.

Still happy that I dream about him though.
