Xander's POV
"You're doing great, baby," I whispered to her. I could hear her breath hitch in her throat as I pulled away from her. I hadn't know before that Harley was so ticklish. I'd never been blessed enough to really touch her so it only made sense that I had no idea but when I noticed her face practically turn purple when my hand rested lazily on above her thick hip bone, it made my want to fucking smile. Of course she was ticklish. Everything about her was so seamlessly perfect. She had everything I needed right now and wanted. A shiver ran through my body as I recalled how sexy she looked, taking control of the situation. I'd wanted to devour her since we left the house. Since we've walked through the door, Harley has been saving our asses. Because of her genuineness, Huncho hasn't even batted an eye at us. God knows I didn't know how to be friendly. With my men, attitude, and mannerism, Huncho's guards would've suspected something by now. But because of Harley's willingness to not make the people around her feel bad, she's made the ending very clear and direct. Harley didn't have to act to get the job done; she just had to be her beautiful self. Surely she doesn't even realize it.
I observed her retreating body, memorizing her movements. Huncho was now down two guards, leaving five lingering behind him. My men alone could take out Huncho and his guards right now, but it'd be too messy. The plan from the beginning was to immediately get Huncho alone in his office anyways. Only I had no intention of embarking on a tour around this shithole. Fortunately, it worked in our favor. Henry and Emilio sent a small nod towards me, showing they understood what to do next.
"You are a lucky man, Mr.Boyd." he's leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Thank you. I am well aware." I focus on him—dirty prick.
"So tell me, What led to your spontaneous trip to India? You mentioned your business? Perhaps I could help." I grinned. Harley wasn't the only one that noticed Huncho's discontent with business.
"That's very kind of you; however, the issue has been solved." He started, "I'm a hard-working man, Mr.Boyd. I'd do whatever it takes to be successful." I didn't doubt it seeming as his hunger to be powerful and untouchable has led us here.
"Likewise." I agreed. "What was business like before?"
"Man to man, it was slow back then. I was struggling to keep my father's legacy alive all because of one gluttonous blood-sucking bastard. He's consumed everything, leaving nothing but bones for the rest of us." My cheekbones ached as I tried to suck in the smile, fighting to be plastered on my face. I wanted to slit his throat as he spoke, but I couldn't. Not yet. Huncho had more than enough opportunity to have a successful cartel. His father built his way up, all by himself; as soon as Huncho gained control, he crashed his father's business into the ground. He is the same reckless kid that fucked up his father's work.
"That bad?" I chuckled. I made it a point not to pay attention to other cartels, especially Huncho, but it's hard to ignore how insignificant Huncho's business is. My men never have run-ins with Huncho's men. His product was sold cheaper and slower; he was like the off-brand fruit loops that no kids want to eat because they are named fruit rounds.
"You ever played monopoly?"
"Of course." I chuckled humorlessly, crossing my arms over my chest now.
"Well. This bastard owns red, orange, dark blue, green, purple, yellow, light blue, the whole fucking board, except for those two shitty brown properties. That's what I was left with." He explained. I knew my men had to be having fighting to try and swallow their laughs.
"Sir, If you don't mind, we would like to check on Ms. Gianna," Henry interrupted.
"I'm sure she is fine," I replied. I had to appear less content about the idea.
"We'll check if she's feeling better, sir," Emilio added.
"Of course, you should check on her." Huncho nodded to me. He's too predictable.
"Okay, be quick," I said before they began to walk away to where she disappeared off to. Now it was up to Henry to deliver the message and commence the battle. "How about we head to your office so we can discuss more in-depth." I clapped my hands together and smiled.
"You read my mind, Boyd." He laughed.
"Excellent. Lead the way." I motioned towards the house. He filed back into the house, with me following close behind, far enough to hear Ralph speak to me.
"We got a problem," Ralph spoke casually as not to raise suspicions.
"Go ahead," I said quickly.
"They found something." He started, slowing his pace for me to match. "This asshole been running a sex ring. Harley accidentally found an entrance leading underground." She was always stumbling upon things. "He has woman caged up. Most underaged," he finished.
Fuck. Huncho's father didn't mess with that shit. It had to be his new business venture. Although cartels often do run sex rings, some of us have some sense of respect and morals. I was a sick fucker, but I know where to draw the line. Sex rings were the low of the lowest. The whole business reeked of desperation. They stole women of all ages, forcing them to sleep with their foul business partners, friends, and customers. They're all treated like dogs. It was completely repulsive.
"Joder," I spat
"What's the move?" he asked.
"Get rid of the remainder of these guys. Tell Henry he has two minutes to get all the girls out, including Harley. He can kill whoever he has to." I said, my eyes not moving from Huncho's moving body.
"Then what?" He asked
"Burn this bitch to the ground." Huncho didn't deserve anything. "I'll handle the rest."
"B-but boss-" He started.
"Do it." I finalized just as we made it to his office.
"Come in." Huncho opened the polished wooden door open. "If you don't mind. I'd like to talk without your men." Huncho added.
"Of course." I nodded. "I'd be more comfortable alone anyways." I smiled. Huncho's been playing into my hand since the beginning. Because he is such a narcissistic prick, he's been talking about himself the whole time. Now, he can't resist talking about his new business venture.
"Indeed." He nodded, motioning for his men to stay outside. I walked in, my shoes clicking against the tiled floor. Along with the rest of the house, this room was suffocating and humid. There were two large windows behind his desk. It was dusk by now. There were only 30 minutes left of sunlight before darkness engulfs the house. "Where were we?" He asked, settling into his leather throne.
"What's changed, Huncho?" My eagerness to put a bullet through his head was increasing by the second.
"What do you mean?" he asked.
"You said your business is better now. What changed?" I leaned forward in my chair. "This other cartel still sounds like it's thriving."
"A new business partner. Well, new to me anyway. He used to work with the blood-sucking bastard I was telling you about." He smiled. "He got me into a new game. A new league. Sex rings bring in more money in a shorter amount of time." He explained casually. "You know how it is, Mr.Boyd. We are men. We are providers. I don't know what you're into, Mr.Boyd, and I don't mean to disrespect you, but you could invest as well."
"Invest?" I couldn't control my facial experiences anymore. "How do you invest in something like that?"
"Ms. Gianna is a beautiful woman, but fucking the same pussy gets old; we both know that, Mr. Boyd. We could help each other out." He lectured. My breathing coming out ragged as I stood up from the lumpy old chair I was on.
"How unfortunate-" I started. I ran my fingers across the surface of his desktop. Examining the dust that now coated my finger, I spoke. "I was going to let you live a little longer." I huffed out.
"Excuse m-" Huncho started.
"Who brought you the woman in your basement, Huncho?" I worked my way to his bookshelves, inspecting the unopened, unread books.
"How did you know about that?" he asked.
"Huncho," I hopped over to him with a smile, "You're not good at your job. Hence why I'm always winning and will continue winning."
"Who are you-" He started stopped talked once he understood. His body froze as his eyes wandered all over my face. A grin exploded through me as I watched his face physically drop. "You're Xand-Xander Sanchez" He swallowed.
"Naturally." I shrugged. " So whose your new business partner, Huncho?" This time as I spoke, I lifted the gun hiding on my back under my waistband. I pressed the shiny metal against his potbelly. "You're not worth my time, Huncho. I shouldn't be here. I shouldn't be talking to a slob like you." I jutted the gun into his gut repeatedly. "but when two slobs get together, it greats a lot of shit. Shit, I apparently have to clean up." I explained.
"Look, X-x-Xander. I-I was just doing what the bastard told me to. I s-swear I didn't me-" He squealed like the pig he is. Hopefully, Ralph and the rest of the guy have taken out the remainder of his guards by now.
"Do you want to see your boy, Evan?" I smiled, pulling out my phone. "Look at what you did to your precious messenger boy." I shoved the picture of a half-alive Evan in his face. His body slumped against the basement floor, and his face was encrusted in blood.
"P-please. S-spare m-" He cried loudly. "It was all Daniel-that bastard!"
"Sure. Why did you need my files on Daniel? I won't ask twice this time." I knew the second Huncho had mentioned his booming business; it involved Daniel.
"P-p-please. I have a w-wife," He begged, split spilling out of his mouth. "Help! Help me!" he screamed. His guards were long gone.
"Well, this is for your poor wife. For all the ways you've disrespected her." I pistol-whipped him. "She deserves someone other than a cunt." I pushed the handle against his nose. Blood immediately began flowing out of the holes in his face. "and this is for not answering the first time." I cracked the gun against his head. His screams came out muffled since I took the handkerchief found in his desk and stuffed it in his fat mouth. "Move your hands, and I'll shoot your fingers off one by one," I growled.
"Why did you need my files on Daniel, Huncho?" I aimed at his hand. He rolled his head around in agony. His lips still not moving, I fired a shot off at hand.
"Fuck!" He roared. "Fine!" He gasped. I pulled out the now blood-soaked handkerchief from his mouth. "He said the only way he would help me was if I sent someone to watch you-" He yelled. Streams of blood spilled down his face, mixing with the tears that had already been flowing down his face.
"You're not answering my question." I fired a shot off at his hand again, making his thumb fly off and plop to the ground. "Plenty more of those, Huncho."
"Jesus!" He screeched. What happened to all that Buddism shit?
"He wanted to know what you were planning!" He exclaimed.
"What'd he learn, then?" I asked.
"Evan just told me that you had a huge shipment of guns come in!" He groaned in pain. "and Daniel asked for a map of your whole estate! I swear that's it!" he yelled.
"That's not all of it. Evan stayed with us for months; what else did he find?" I fired off another shot to his ring finger. He'll never be able to wear those chunky tacky rings again.
"I swear on my mom! You covered yourself too well. Evan rarely had shit to report! The last thing he had me tell Daniel was that you took some girl named Harley! and you were holding her hostage!" He cried.
"Boss!" Henry busted through the door. "This place is coming down! We've got to get out of here. Everyone is waiting in the front!" Smoke began to pour through the door. Small streaks of red and orange peeked below him.
"What the Fuck!?" Huncho shrieked in horror. "What did you do!" Huncho scrambled, trying to get up from his seat. "There is over half a million dollars worth of product down there!" He yelled.
"Next, it's your knee!" I fired a shot off at his foot to stop him from moving. "Does Daniel know I have Harley!?" I asked.
"No! Not yet! I wasn't able to relay the message!" He breathed out, "I was supposed to meet with him tonight to talk! That's it, man. I swear!" His breathing now shallow. Daniel knew I had Harley, even without Huncho confirming it. He knows it wasn't a coincidence that Harley was taken right in front of Avery. If Daniel was planning on using Huncho to learn what I had in store for him, he failed miserably. No one outside of Henry, Felipe, and my father knew what I had in store for that son of a bitch.
"Daniel involved you in some messy shit, Huncho." I started. "He's a crook and way out of his league. You should've done your research before jumping at the opportunity for some petty money." Smoke filled every corner of the room, and I could feel the heat from the flames bounce on my skin. I wasn't finished.
"Xander! Let's go!" Henry yelled, the desperation apparent in his voice.
"He promised he'd take you down! He swore that I'd be able to take your place!" He yelled
"And you believed him?" I let out a booming laugh. Daniel didn't know shit about anything. After working with me, he got a big head, but it doesn't matter because I'm going to humble him. Humble him and put him back where he belongs in a punk-ass furniture factory making dinner tables for families like his own. Daniel had everything men worked their lives to have. His greediness was infuriating. People like Me, Henry, even Harley had to work for our shit. I'll be damned if he tries and takes it away from me. I'll do more than kill his daughter. "Where's the stash, Huncho?" I asked calmly, ignoring Henry's plea. I had to finish this.
"It's not mine! It's Daniel's! He'll raise hell if something happens to that shit. I'd be a dead man!" He hissed.
"You're a dead man anyway, but I'll make it quicker. I'll make sure your family is taken care of." I reasoned. "I can get this bastard back for you, Huncho. Where is the fucking stash!" I barked, now holding the gun up to his head.
"Fuck!" He pretended to think about it for a moment. Then sighed out deeply shutting his eyes. "There is a trap door under the Buddha statue!" He yelled in defeat. "You'll never get it o-" He started, but I had already fired my gun, piercing the bullet straight through his head.
"Fuck, man!" Henry yelled. With a new rush of adrenaline, I dug in his tight pants pocket for his phone. Huncho said he and Daniel were going to meet tonight, which means he's bound to call. I can't wait to let him know how badly he's fucked up. "We have to get the fuck out of here now. Don't even think about going to get his stash." Henry growled as I jogged out the door, him hot on my toes.
"Don't tell me what to do," I muttered and made my way down the burning steps. This place was mostly concrete, but there was so much foliage around the house that it acted as the perfect burning agent. Amidst all the flames stood big and tall, the fucking statue.
