Xander's POV

She was gone, just like that. I had her in my arms. Her skin was pressed against mine. Our lips embraced each other. Her eyes softened just looking at me and mine to her. She was everything I wanted. Everything I needed. And she was gone. She only trusted Henry to take her.

And I couldn't blame anyone but myself. I was the one that lied, kept it from her, made her work for me, took her from her family, tried to kill her best friend. She knows I would've done it.

I was at fault for it all. But my anger didn't want to admit it.

My eyes panned down to the floor. Blue. A blue pair of knitted socks laid on the burgundy carpet in front of my office door. I walked stiffly like if I made any unthought movement, I'd crack. I bent down, picking them up in my large hands. They were the brightest shade of blue I'd ever seen—the type of blue that counted. The type of blue Harley knew I'd like. Something so small sent a sharp pain through my spine and up to my brain.

I'll kill them all.

My throat burned raw from screaming. My fist flew into everything I could get my hands on. My desk flew from its original spot and cracked against the wall. None of it matters. Not right now. Not without her.

I marched out of the office down the hall. All the noise I could make came with me. Brooke and Rachel ran out of Harley's room with wide eyes.

"Is everything okay? W-where is Harley?" Rachel asked.

"She's gone." I didn't pause to look at their reactions.

"But she said she was going to bring you something-" Rachel looked around as if Harley would appear out of thin air.

"D-did you hurt her?" Brooke asked.

Hurt her? I did more than hurt her. However, I knew that's not what she meant.

"No," I said. "I let her go."

I had nothing left in besides burning rage. Without explaining anything else, I picked up my pace down the stairs. I was going to find out who talk to Harley. The only people who knew the truth behind Harley's kidnapping were Henry, Felipe, and the Sanchez brothers. Knowingly, they had no reason to tell Harley. They knew better than to mention anything to her. Most importantly, they would never cross me. My father couldn't have reached the estate so fast. Every voice inside me was screaming for me to tell her the second I arrived. But the second I saw her face, her tears, and screams. I couldn't tell her at that moment. Then I felt her body against mine, and her hands on my skin, her sweet tasting mouth, and her thickness against me. I felt like I could melt at the sensation. Everything got out of hand. I planned to tell her everything, explain everything. It made my blood boil to think someone took it upon themselves to purposely maim our relationship--Evan. My thoughts, as well as my movements, halted. Evan knew.

Just as I picked my head up, Henry, Felipe, and the rest of the guy waltz into the meeting area. I was on the last step before my foot hit the marble ground. With caution, everyone walked towards me silently. They knew.

"Is she safe?" I broke the silence and looked at Henry.

"Yes, sir, She's at the safehouse." he crossed his hands behind his back. "Although she put up a fight-almost gauged my eye out when she saw you moved her family away."

"Of course she did." I ran my hand through my hair. It wouldn't be right if she didn't. I had our estate relator find a house for Harley and her family. Daniel knew her location before, and more importantly, he had influences on police officers in her area and undoubtedly was going to fire her father soon. I didn't want her to be watching over her back, and I wanted to know where she was at all times.

"Where's Evan?" I hissed.

"In his cell," Felipe said with a confused frown.

"Anyone been down there today?" My eyes danced on everyone's face. I sensed deception. I hardly wanted it to be from any of my men, but I knew better.

"No." Felipe shook his head.

"What happened, boss?" Ralph stepped forward. His shoulders tensed as he towards me. He sounded unnatural and disingenuous. Not caring to explain, I walked away to the basement. Evan couldn't have told Harley anything since he's been locked up for over two weeks. No was had authorization to got down here except Henry and me. Besides, no one would need to come down here for anything. Evan was barely alive.

"Wake him up," I said once I had made it to the chambers. Guards stood outside of Evan's cell every day, all day. Shifts were taken between 7 different men.

"Sir." One of the guards nodded curtly, stood up from the seat he occupied beside the cell and walked over to the bars. Without warning, with the keys in his hand, he slammed them against the metal repeatedly. Clenching my teeth together, I watched as Evan stirred then awoke from the horrifying noise.

"Time to wake up, Evan. Boss is here for you." The guard continued to chime against the bars.

"Leave us." I held up my hand to the guard instructing him to stop. Without a word, he walked up the basement steps, leaving me alone.

Evan sat against the painted brick walls with his head resting against them. His arms were crossed over his knees as they were crushed up against his chest.

"Get up." I barked. My face had been scrunched in anger for so long; an impending head loomed in me. My nerves twitched as I tried to control my hands from grabbing him and snapping his neck in half.

"B-boss-" He tried to croak. Dirt was caked on his feet and face. Any sympathy I had for Evan was gone. He talked to someone. They told Harley. My chest heaved in excitement just thinking about the ways I'd mercilessly torture whoever it was. I pray to whatever god acquired the heavens above to give me the strength to endure such temptation. Not that any God would hear me out after this.

"Get up." I roared. My neck convulsed painfully.

With ease, he scrambled to his feet. I could visibly see the aches in his body as he moved.

"Boss-I can explain-" He chocked out. Already tears spilled out of his murky eyes. His eyes bags creased with wetness as he belted out a sob.

"Too late for that." Quicker than he had time to react, I reached my hands through the rusty cell bars, grasped his worn-out sweater, and slammed him against the metal. It did nothing to subdue my anger. If anything, it made it worse. "Who'd you talk to?" My throat burned in rejection. A ting of pain snapped my head. Not letting him go, I pulled him closer. His face was smashed against the bars. New wounds on top of the old ones busted open. Blood decorated his once tan skin.

"Boss-I didn't mean to. I was just desperate-" He whaled.

"Who?" His head met the bars again. Harley's face flashed through my mind. Her serene skin, so smooth and vibrant. Her smile; so mind bendingly attractive it made my heart want to combust at the mere sight. Again and again, I pulled him, so he met with the metal wall. Over and over til blood spouted out of his ear.

"Tessa." His hoarse voice shattered against his lips before his body went limp, and he slid to the floor.

Not sparing a second, I reached behind my back, curved my fingers around the cold metal handle of my gun, and fired off two shots to Evan's head. It was the most my sympathy reached.

"Boss-" The guard rushed down the steps when the sound of the gunshots reached the upper floor.

"Clean up the mess." Is all I said before pushing the gun back against my back and storming up the steps.

Tessa. It was foolish of me not even to consider her. She surely had the reputation and the motive. Since Harley arrived, she'd been harassing her the most effective way she could. I should've put a fucking bullet in her the second Harley told me about their conversation before we went to Huncho's. I should've tossed her in that fucking cell with Evan. I never knew my rage could reach such heights. I was dizzy was wrath. My movements sped up as I searched for her. Any sign of her. The guys had dispersed by the time I reached the lobby. It felt like gravity was pushing against me as I barreled my way up the steps.

I made it to Harley's room; not even bothering to knock, I pushed the door open with enough force to rattle the walls.

Brooke and Rachel were perched up in the leather seats in front of the bed with solemn faces. Rachel's eyes glistened from tears. Both their heads whipped to me, and their eyes widened.

"Where's Tessa?" I barked loud enough to sting their ears.

"She's in the bathro-" Brooke began, but when she did, Tessa came strolling into the room with nothing but a white robe wrapped around her. A small smile played on her lips as she sashayed further in towards the girls. I was sweating. I could my blood actually boiling inside, steam erupting from my ears as I watched her...smiling.

"What's wrong with you guys-" She frowned then followed their gaze to me. The blood from her face drained, her skin physically morphed from bronze to white like she already knew why I was here. She knew exactly what was going to happen.

Sparing no time, I charged up to her. I had no control over my body anymore. My arms and legs moved on their own as I grabbed her arms forcefully and began dragging her with me. As if I was walking in slow motion, Brooke and Rachel gasped in surprise and followed after us, but I didn't stop. Not at the sight of Tessa yelling, Rachel pleading for her to be spared behind me, or when I made it to the lobby with hand still wrapped around her arm, and Henry entered, followed by Ralph and Emilio.

I tossed her against the cold marble floor relentlessly. I took one step back at the same time I pulled my gun out and pointed it at her head. Her face was red from screaming. She slumped down to the floor like a lifeless puppet as a sob broke out of her mouth.

"Boss, What the fuck is going on?" Henry clasped down on my shoulder and breathed out. Softly so no one heard but me. My eyes stayed on the bitch spread on the ground. I didn't move an inch even when responding to Henry.

"Ask her," I said. "Ask her what the fuck she did!" I roared, stabbing my gun repeatedly through the air to her. "Fucking ask her!" I wanted to hear her say it. It'd made sending a round of bullets through her so much easier.

"Answer the question, Tessa," Henry said, not looking the least bit fazed by her sobs. "I won't stop him-" Henry warned, and she picked her head up to look at me. She was met with the gun still pointed towards her face.

"I don't know what the fuck you're talking about!" She exclaimed and threw her hands in the air. She cried harder, but it was to no avail. No one was buying it.

"Watch your mouth, Bitch." I barked. "I'm giving you the courtesy to explain. Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I shoot your gremlin face right off."

Her eyes widened, and she began looking around at everyone in front of her. Like someone would run up and throw themselves in front of her. No one was going to rescue her. Her fate will be the same.

"Come on, Tessa. What's going on?" Henry warned.

"I-it was Evan, H-he made me do it. I s-swear it." She sputtered out like the sloppy mess she was.

"Your boyfriends dead. He ratted you out." I growled. "So stop lying."

"Evan's dead?" Ralph yelped behind me. He walked up to me with his arms pressed against his side. I didn't pay him any mind.

"F-f-fine. You want the truth?" A new glamour of mischief in her eye. "Ralph sought me out. He begged me to tell Harley everything about her mother and the lies." she had a new spur of energy in her since she began moving around like a crackhead desperate for a fix. "Evan too. They both threatened me!" she exclaimed.

Everyone turned to Ralph but not as fast as I did. Ralph. The past week he had been expressing his dislike for the situation Harley was in. Even pried on what I should tell her. From the beginning, he showed an unwanted interest.

"Boss-I didn't-" I now moved my gun to him. If guilty were a person, it'd be him. It was clear as day on his panicked face. "She deserved to know!" He said, exasperated. He took a step back with every breath he made, but it wouldn't matter. I trusted him with my life. With all the ins and outs of the business. "But I didn't threaten that bitch." Ralph hissed. "She was more than happy to take the information and tell her!" He proclaimed. "Evan's been feeding her information since the very beginning! She was going to do it an-" But before he could dream up more excuses, I dropped the gun and launched my fist against his face. His rough skin pounded against my fist. Over and over, I drove into his face until I felt the bone under crack.

"Fuck" Ralph yelled and crumbled to the floor. Rachel and Brooke shrieked from shock behind me. I didn't need any more explanation. Henry scrambled towards me along with Emilio.

"Get up. Get out." my voice boomed. "Quickly, before I change my mind." My chest moved up and down. I tried to steady my ragged breathing. Ralph immediately scrambled to his feet. He spared me one last glance before limping away.

"Put her in a cell." I motioned to Henry and began walking away. Harley would truly never forgive me if I killed Ralph or laid a finger on Tessa. Her heart was too big. Even though Tessa tried so many ways to make her beliefs waver, she never did. I knew she didn't blame them even now. But I sure as did. There was so much irritation, aggravation, anger inside me. Enough to kill them all mercilessly. Even if they begged, I'd put a bullet in their mouth just for talking. The only thing keeping me from doing it all was her. The pain was more than any bullet wound I'd taken. The dizziness had now subsided, but my skin still felt like it was melting off. My head beat against my skull continuously. Tessa screamed and cursed and she was dragged away but I didn't even move. The same words invaded all my thoughts; She's gone. She'll never forgive you. She'll never love you.
