(A/N: this log is quite the information dump, but I'd recommend making sure to read it all, as it should explain several things.)

Today's date is March 20th, 2020. Five days before the supposed scheduled release of episode 16 of Battle For BFDI, but that will be more than enough time for me to finish.

In the previous log, I said that I had finalized the number of subjects that I would give abilities, that being 32. But I have recently thought of 2 more that could provide an interesting variable to the experiment. One in particular.

Listed below are the final - for real this time - 2 new subjects and results of the abilities my experimentation brought to them.

~~~~~
[SUBJECT 052]
(Cake)
Subject 052... what a meek personality. It will be interesting to see how he reacts when he discovers his power, which is the ability to drain the life of any object he touches if he chooses to. Quite frankly, it is a terrible force, capable of killing a lot before it has to "recharge." I wonder if the other objects would be scared of him, if they learned of his power?
~~~~~

[SUBJECT 063

(Loser)

Now THIS one has potential. Simply put, Subject 063 now has the ability to "steal" the abilities of any other object (at least, from the ones I have given abilities to). All he has to do is touch the desired object for a couple seconds, and the transfer will be complete. He can hold as many powers as he wants. (Of course, when I tested this, I also devised a way to return the powers to their original holders, so that the experiment may still happen.)

Note: there appears to be a side effect to this. Whenever 063 gains a power, he begins to crave more, and isn't satisfied until he has it all. Normally, I would attempt to remove side effects such as these. But this one could provide some... EXTREMELY interesting results.

And now that all the subjects are ready, I can log the details of the next procedure: releasing them back onto the BFB contesting grounds. There are several steps to this.

1.) First and foremost, knock them out and erase all memories from the moment I captured them up to when they wake up in the ruins of the mansion on the night of the 24th. This is the most important step, as if any of the following steps fail in some way, and they wake up inside the lab without former memories of the place, I can simply lie and say they're all in here for medical checkups... or something. Perhaps I should think of a more proper response for that. Contingencies...

2.) I must fabricate their fake memories and implement them into their brains. Specifically, this is what they will remember:

- Before March 24th: the minds of those who were alive when episode 15 ended should create some fuzzy memories to fill in the gap they will have between episodes. Since they do not generally DO much between episodes, this is a risk I'm willing to take. Those who were dead when episode 15 ended will simply have the memory of waking up recovered.

- March 24th, pre-party: all the contestants will remember waking up on that morning to find their dead friends recovered and their eliminated friends out of the EXIT. They will also find notes from Four, claiming that he and X "had urgent business to attend to and would not be back for a few days." (This, of course, is a lie. Four and X have been lying unconscious since I initially captured them and their contestants, in two special cells they should not be able to break out of in case they wake.) Later, all of the subjects I have tested on - but not any of the others - will "find" themselves inside the mansion when it collapsed, when in reality, everything up to the point of the collapse is just a fabricated memory.

- Post-party: everyone will wake up for real this time. For the experimented-on subjects, they will wake after the mansion collapse, having gained their new abilities seemingly from thin air. Everyone outside the mansion will not even register walking up a second time. With these in place, hopefully, the fake memories will fabricate a believable scenario for everyone involved to explain the sudden powers.

2b.) Annoyingly, I've had to add an extra step here. I've managed to wipe the memories of every object except for one; for some reason, it appears to be impossible to tamper with 057's memories. Perhaps the fact that he is pure electricity has something to do with it? If I had more time, I would look into it more. Instead, I've chosen to take this opportunity to give 057 a different role. By tweaking the simulated environment I've been using to create false memories for the others, if anyone happens to look up around the time of the mansion's collapse, they can see Lightning flying through the sky and to the top of the mansion. If anyone is smart, they will figure out that 057 is "behind" the power surge. (I'll have to force him into a coma for as long as he needs to be, though. If he was awake, he would tell everyone everything.)

3.) Set up the actual ruins of the mansion for the contestants to wake up in. This step is already mostly done, as I have been taking regular surface trips and adding to the ruins little by little almost every day.

4.) Deploy the clone of subject 049. As 049 is a literal black hole, he was impossible to contain, so I was forced to end his life. However, the other objects may question his disappearance, so I have created what I believe to be a good clone, complete with 049's memories, beliefs, and a rudimentary copy of the original's gravitational abilities.

5.) Update everyone's power-dampening bracelets to have a second purpose, that purpose being "Recall". Whenever I decide I have enough information and wish to regain control of my subjects, one button press on the main control panel will activate the homing engines in the bracelets. Each band will lock onto their designated object and fly through the air until they wrap themselves around one of their target's limbs - or body, if the target lacks limbs altogether. They will then inject anesthesia into whatever body part they are touching, just enough to knock them unconscious. (For this purpose, I have manufactured bracelets for all the objects - except for my assistant, of course - and not just for my subjects with powers.) At this point, I will be able to help my assistant collect everyone and lock them in their respective cells.

6.) Actually place everybody in position. They'll automatically wake up at the right time on the 24th, not having a single suspicion that their minds had been hijacked. From there, I wait, record whatever happens, and hopefully get some good results. I will initialize Recall whenever I deem fit, which could take any amount of time; two days, two weeks, two months... I am prepared to wait for as long as necessary.

~~~~~
When I first undertook this frankly immense project, it was originally to see if I could find a viable candidate to accept my power via various testing methods. That is still my goal, but now... I've realized I'm enjoying this. Experimenting on others, toying with their physicalities and pushing them past their limits... it's exhilarating.
While I'm willing to wait for however long I must, I estimate that subject 063 will not last very long before succumbing to his urges to gain power. When that happens, the experiment should become very intriguing indeed. The moment that that business is finished will be the moment I initiate Recall, and from there, I can swap powers between subjects, and start anew. I don't know how many times I will be repeating this experiment, though...
This is the end of this recording. It is likely that I will not be making another one for a while, as I will record all the results from this experiment on paper from here. Signing out.
If any of y'all have read IDFBC... yeah, this is really similar to some events from there. (But it's not connected to this story!!) I kinda regret just how many parallels there are, but that's mainly because I didn't fully plan ahead when starting this story, and so, these events are what I came up with to fit what I set up at the beginning of the book.
We're nearly at the end now. Only one more chapter left! (...maybe two. But probably one.)
