"What... Why would Miss want that?" Marie's mind completely went blank. Is it possible that her miss is now into bugs!?
"Marie... Whatever strange guess you have in your mind is probably not it. Just get the bugs." Angelina sighed helplessly.
"Yes, miss..." Marie mindlessly walked out the room.
Angelina looked at her reflection one more time before standing up and leaving her room as well. According to the original Angelina's memories, she was allergic to citrus...
But it was not severe. If she were to drink something with citrus, at most her lips and throat would itch.
Angelina met a maid outside her room and decided to ask her a question, "You, do you know when my sister is hosting her tea party?"
"Um... I believe it's the hour after noon, my lady." The maid answered honestly.
'So there's still time...' Angelina pondered. She turned to the maid and smiled. Shortly after, the maid's eyes turned slightly hollow and she left to go to the kitchen.
Now that she was in the maid's body, she could do what she wanted. When she entered the kitchen, no one was there except for a female cook, who she quickly used the travelling soul on.
' Ah, this should be it...' Angelina found the teapot for the tea party on the wooden counter and took off the lid. She grabbed a lemon from a nearby fruit basket. Then she grabbed a knife and sliced the lemon into two before squeezing one to let the juice out of the fruit into the teapot.
' It might be slightly painful for me but it will be worth it...' Angelina thought.
*************
"Good afternoon lady Evelina..."
"It's an honor to be invited to this party, lady Evelina."
"Lady Evelina, you look as lovely as always!"
"Hey..." Elizabeth waved indifferently.
"Thank you for inviting me, lady Evelina." Harper thanked gratefully.
"It's truly a joy to have tea with you again." Lady Sonia clapped her hands happily.
"I'm so happy you all came! Thank you for coming, everyone!" Evelina greeted her guests in the lobby and soon let them into the garden.
When they arrived at the prepared spot, Angelina was already there and had even taken a seat!
"Lady Angelina?" Elizabeth was pleasantly surprised and immediately took the seat left to Angelina.
"Sister... What are you doing here?" Evelina smiled to hide her anger and asked politely. However she had already silently cursed Angelina a ten thousand times.
"Huh? What do you mean sister? Didn't you invite me earlier? I'm sorry... I'll leave if I'm not welcomed here." Angelina looked sad and hurt. Her pitiful and wronged expression immediately caused Evelina's smile to twitch.
"N-no! You have to stay!" Elizabeth reached out to hold Angelina's hand then turned to Evelina, "you can't make her leave! Lady Angelina is my friend!"
Evelina gritted her teeth in annoyance. Her blood boiled but she still maintained her kind smile. She wasn't invited! What is she going on about!?
"What are you talking about sister? You're invited by me so of course you are welcomed! " Evelina forced herself to laugh cheerfully and took the seat right to Angelina.
"Thank you sister!" Angelina revealed a meaningful grin to Evelina. Her wide smile looked beaming as if she was overjoyed, but really Angelina was holding back her laughter.
It's good that Evelina didn't discover what was hiding beneath. Or more specifically, the box filled with cockroaches, centipedes, and caterpillars hiding underneath Angelina's feet. Just with a kick from Angelina's feet, the box would fall and all the insects would be freed.
To put it simply, it's merely a matter of time.
Shortly after all the guests found and took their seats, they all began drowning her with praises.
"Lady Angelina! It's such an honor to see you!"
"Lady Angelina was amazing at the banquet!"
"You never failed to surprise me, lady Angelina."
"..." Lady Sonia frowned after hearing the other's praises. All the young nobles who praised Angelina was foolish in her eyes. They don't even know Angelina's true face!
Evelina merely watched everything with a bitter smile. This was her party! Why is no one paying attention to her!?
Angelina naturally noticed Evelina's abnormality and sneered. Sure enough, if there is one thing that could cause Evelina's heart to become uneasy and outraged, it would be someone else stealing all the attention.
Then from the corner of her eyes she caught the sight of a familiar figure approaching.
"Sorry I'm late." Alice, wearing a black dress, said with her head lowered.
Angelina sighed. Alice carried a shy but peaceful air around her. And her pink hair and blue eyes only made it even more enjoyable to be around her. But now the air around her has changed. It was more gloomy and her usually sweet appearence looked haggard with the long black dress.
"It's not a problem, lady Alice. Please have a seat." After she saw Alice's sad and pale face, Evelina felt her mood lighten and she laughed charmingly.
Alice glared at Evelina with her grief filled eyes. But she could only swallow down her resentment and take her seat.
She cast a glance at Angelina and showed her a supportive yet reassuring smile. But to Angelina it was pitiful.
"Oh the tea has come!" One of the guests exclaimed.
"I'm quite excited. Everyone knows how amazing lady Evelina's taste in teas is!"
The female servant who delivered the tea began carefully pouring tea for the guests.
"Mm! The tea is so fragrant!"
"I can't wait to taste it, sister!" Angelina held her teacup and cast Evelina a glance.
"...?" Evelina had a bad premonition.
About an hour has passed and everything was still quite peaceful. Angelina almost doubted whether this body was really allergic. But fortunately or unfortunately, she started to feel her lips itch and mouth tingle.
This wouldn't do. Such a small reaction wouldn't draw their attention. It seems she needs to put up a performance...
"Ah!" Angelina covered her mouth as she fell off her seat, but she made sure to not knock over the box of bugs.
"Lady Angelina?" Elizabeth exclaimed with shock.
Angelina laid on the ground and covered her mouth while holding her throat. Tears formed in her eyes as she tried to hold back her voice from groaning from pain. Such appearence caused the guest's heart to shook with worry.
The others quickly stood up from their seats and crowded around Angelina, anxiously questioning her.
"Lina!" Alice rushed to her side and laid Angelina on her lap. "What's wrong!?"
"Lady Angelina!" Elizabeth didn't know what to do. She turned towards the servants nearby and shouted, "what are you standing around for!? Call a physician!"
Evelina was frozen in place. She just stood with panic and anger in her eyes while her hands trembled.
Angelina tried to enjoy this side of Evelina as long as she could before continuing the next stage of her wonderful performance.
"Sister, you know I'm allergic to citrus... How could you include citrus juice into the tea?" Angelina looked at Evelina with confusion mixed with horror.
"What!?" Evelina gasped with her brows furrowed. She didn't include citrus into the tea! No wonder the tea tasted slightly different! She actually is trying to frame her!
"Lady Evelina, did you do this deliberately!?" Alice questioned.
"You..." Evelina muttered quietly. She was able to keep herself from losing control but was unable to keep herself from frowning. She wanted to take this chance to defend herself but Angelina beat her to it...
"It's alright Alice... I'm sure it's merely a simple mistake. My older sister is very busy, of course she would forget such a little matter like my allergy." Angelina weakly said as she laid in Alice's arms.
"Lina..." Tears formed in Alice's eyes. This Evelina was too much! How could she be so cruel to Angelina!? She was one of the nicest people she has ever met!
Just as Angelina had hoped, her words, instead of helping Evelina clear up her name, only fueled their pity for her and suspicion for Evelina.
"Lady Evelina is actually so inconsiderate of her own little sister..."
"Lady Angelina is so pitiful. She's clearly suffering from the allergy reaction and yet she still defends lady Evelina..."
"Lady Evelina had spoke of her close relationship with lady Angelina many times. But she actually lets such an important matter slip out of her mind?"
"Lady Evelina should treat lady Angelina better. Lady Angelina is so outstanding and talented, yet she is treated so poorly!"
Hearing the whispers, Angelina smirked with delight when no one was looking. She knew her show today was a success. But...
She really couldn't take this itchy feeling anymore! It was about time for the final step.
Alice had helped her get back on her seat and even continued to hold her. Once they saw the servants with the physician coming to take Angelina away, the guests calmed down and went back to their seats.
"Lina, don't worry. Everything's going to be okay!" Alice comforted as she handed Angelina over to the servants.
Angelina weakly stood up and the servants carried her away to take her back inside the mansion.
No one noticed Angelina's small movement when she kicked the box of bugs under the table as she stood up. The box fell and the lid was knocked aside. The many hideous insects were now free.
