The next day Amiyah was taking out of the trash because Lamar was on the run of course and he didn't want to be seen. Amiyah looked around because she felt like she was being watched. The house they were in was by a lake, it was was the only house around. From the pictures in the house, they were at Lamar's brother's house. She supposed it was just a house that him and his wife may go to get away some weekends.

Amiyah looked around when suddenly, she saw Dominic.

Amiyah made a face.

Lamar peaked out the door.

"Miyah!", he called. "Get in the house"

Amiyah looked at Lamar and started walking to the house. Then she glanced at where Dominic was and he was gone. She thought that it was just her imagination because she missed him so much.

Amiyah went into the house.

"What took you so long?", Lamar asked.

"Nothing", Amiyah said.

Lamar starred at her to see if she was lying but he believed her. She looked more scared of him than anything.

Lamar looked down and hugged her. "I'm sorry", he said.

Amiyah let out a sigh.

Lamar kissed her forehead. "I never wanted to hurt you Amiyah. I- I just wanted to be with you", he said.

Amiyah look up at him as she pulled away a little bit.

"I- I've been out of character lately and I've been trying to fight that side of me off...and now I know that I can't and I'm sorry for- for killing Bianca. I'm sorry for hurting your aunt and your cousin and I'm sorry for shooting Dominic", Lamar said. "...I've been...I've been listening and I am going to get help. I'm going to be the man that you want and care about. I'm going to be better"

Amiyah started tearing up.

"I don't wanna loose you... not again. Those were the worst months of my life", Lamar said as a tear fell.

Amiyah touched his cheek and wiped his tear with her thumb. As much anger that she had held inside for him, she did feel like he was genuine sorry and that he really couldn't help it.

While that was going on, Dominic was actually outside. One of blinds were and he saw Amiyah and Lamar having a moment. He knew that while being with Lamar that she would have to act a certain way but it looked like the moment was genuine. Dominic started to get upset.

"Nic?", his friend said

Dominic snapped out of it and looked at him.

"You good?", his friend asked not evening seeing what Dominic was looking at.

"I'm fine, Jax", Dominic said.

Jax is Dominic's best friend. They've known each other since they were kids and even though they grew up in the same neighborhood, Jax and Dominic were kind of opposites. Although Dominic could be hood at times but not as hood as Jax. Jax used to sell drugs, be in a gang, you name it. Jax was the hot head while Dominic was the one who tried to keep him out of trouble.

"So we gonna get Miyah or not?", Jax asked.

Dominic looked back at the window and saw Amiyah kiss Lamar's forehead as they were sitting down.

"I don't know", Dominic said. "I don't even know if that's what she wants"

"I thought you said this dude was crazy?", Jax asked.

Dominic looked at Jax. "Well you know Amiyah. She always has to see the good in people", Dominic said.

"Isn't that one of the reasons why you like her?", Jax asked.

"...yea I just don't know if she really feels the same. I mean like when we got together she was...vulnerable. What if that's the only reason why she felt like she wanted to be with me? Because she felt alone and she couldn't read her emotions?", Dominic asked.

"You're always over thinking things", Jax said.

Dominic didn't say anything.

"You wanna know, how I know she had liked you?", Jax asked.

"How?", Dominic asked.

"Prom night I over heard her talking to your date. She was telling her about how you operate when it comes to girls", Jax said.

"So that's why I didn't get none that night. That's why she ended the night so quick", Dominic said.

"Yes and that sir is the night I saw that y'all were about to kiss", Jax said.

"Yea and you came in and ruined it", Dominic said.

"See. Even you know", Jax said. "Even if she wants to see this so called "good" in this dude and that doesn't mean that you for one give up and second...that doesn't mean she isn't feeling you"

Dominic nods.

"Now that you got me talking all soft and shit, let me get back right so I can kill this bitch", Jax said.

"Don't shoot unless I tell you to", Dominic said.

"Hey, I am here to kill somebody", Jax said. "I could be out here doing other shit but no, I came to help a friend"

"What? Getting into shit that's either going to get you killed or in jail", Dominic said.

"Yet me killing this guy could put me in jail, yet you got me doing it", Jax said.

"Just do what I say Jax", Dominic said as they started walking. "And you really need to get you

"Besides...sorry I could go to college and have some fancy job like you", Jax said.

Dominic didn't say anything.

"I'm proud of you though bro", Jax said.

"...thanks", Dominic replied.

Suddenly, Lamar comes out of nowhere.

"I see you two idiots are still friends", Lamar said.

Jax took out his gun and aimed it at Lamar.

Lamar put his hands up. "Slow your roll Jax", Lamar said.

"How do you know my name?", Jax asked.

"Jax...this is Lamar", Dominic said. "The one Amiyah used to talk to sometimes"

"You look different", Jax said.

"I get that a lot", Lamar said.

Amiyah came outside and saw Dominic and Jax.

"Jax? Put the gun down", Amiyah said.

Dominic watched Amiyah.

"Why should I?", Jax asked.

"Because I said so", Amiyah said as she stood in front of Lamar. "Don't"

Jax lowered his gun, slowly.

"Come on then", Jax said. "Let's go"

Amiyah didn't say anything.

"Amiyah?", Jax said. "Let's go. If he hurts you, I'll just shoot him"

"I'm not going. You guys need to leave", Amiyah said.

Dominic made a face. "You really forgiving this dude?!", Dominic asked.

Amiyah looked down. She didn't make eye contact with Dominic.

"Okay...I see", Dominic said. "Come on Jax"

Jax looked back and forth at Dominic and Amiyah.

"I was looking forward to starting something with you but know I see why I didn't in the first place...especially after the way I'm feeling right now", Dominic said.

Dominic began walking away and Amiyah finally look at him even though his back was turned.

"Amiyah, do you seriously wanna do this right now because usually once he made his mind up. It's made up and he's going to go back to his old ways", Jax said.

Amiyah still didn't say anything.

Jax sighed. "Damn", he mumbled. "I was really rooting for y'all", he said before catching up with Dominic.

Amiyah watched them and she wanted to cry but she held it in.

"You okay?", Lamar asked.

"I'm fine", she said as she turned to look at him. "Let's just focus on me dropping the charges and getting you better"

Lamar nods.

Lamar and Amiyah began walking into the house but Amiyah stopped for a second to look at Dominic and Jax drive away. She did love Dominic, but at the same time she still wanted to help Lamar because she knew he was fighting something that he couldn't control and that he wanted to fix. As much as she wanted to be with Dominic, she couldn't be with Dominic during her trying to help Lamar because it would make things difficult. She didn't even wanna be with Lamar for that matter and she was going to tell Lamar that at the right time. She just wanted him to get help. She wouldn't be able to do that with two guys fighting over her. She knew she probably blew it with Dominic for good this time but she was hoping that when everything was all over he'd understand. She also hoped that Lamar genuinely wanted to be helped.

Amiyah stopping looking at the car and got out of thoughts as she walked in the house.
