Rose's POV
I wake up and am not sure what time it is. I pull back the blinds from my window, welcoming the sunlight into my room. It is quarter past 7, surprisingly early for the late time I went to bed, but old habits are hard to break. Although, waking up early will come in handy when my courses officially start.
I make my bed and put my nightgown aside. I still would like to keep my room clean even if I am not at the orphanage. I will have to check up on Oliver for that. I take out my braid, turning on the shower, itching to try out my new products. When the water is warm enough, I step in.
Nearly 20 minutes later, I step out smelling like Roses. The Wilson couple got me rose scented candles, soaps, and body wash. My hair is detangled, my body fresh, and my mind awake. I put on the lavender lotion, given to me by Miss Iris, spreading it over my newly shaved body. I split my hair down the middle and put it in identical french braids. My hair looks really good right now so I throw on my robe to go get dressed.
In the end, I picked out an aerodynamic shirt and spandex like shorts. I am not going to lie, I have a really nice figure. I am not being cocky or anything, just that constant training at a difficult level has made my body more toned.
My butt is round and plump, my arms showing muscles without needing to flex, my legs are extremely toned and muscular as well. I have a very defined six pack and perky-round breasts that are more than enough for a girl my age. All in all, I am thankful for the way I look. The only jewelry I wear is Adele's necklace underneath my shirt and my Lucia family ring. I put my twin daggers in the pockets inside my shorts, carry my imperium sword on my back and keeping the knives and throwing stars inside my combat boots. I don't add any makeup to my look because I don't feel the need to.
With everything set, around 8 o'clock, I head out of my dorm with a croissant, locking the door with my key. I walk to Oliver's dorm room and begin knocking. It's several minutes of knocking before Oliver opens the door.
"Rose? What are you doing here?" He asks tiredly, showing that he just woke up.
"I'm making sure you are up, we have to be downstairs in less than an hour." I tell him. He eyes widely meet mine.
"Crap! Jake, wake up!!" Oliver starts yelling at his roommate while hurrying to get ready. I walk in the door, just lounging in their living room.
"What dude? Why did you wake me up?" Jake asks yawning.
"We have to be downstairs in less than an hour." Oliver rushes out, throwing on a shirt.
"Goddess!" Jake scurries away just like my brother did. In seven minutes both walk out dressed and ready for the day. "Thanks for waking me up Oliver." Jake says, making his way towards the door.
"Don't thank me, thank my sister. If it weren't for her, we would have overslept." Oliver says thankfully, looking in my direction. As if Jake just notices my presence, he looks me up and down.
"When you told me about your sister, I didn't think she would be this hot!" Jake flushes in embarrassment, whispering to Oliver underneath his breath.
"My name is Rose." I introduce myself with a smile. I lead us back the way we came from yesterday. Gratefully, we have a little over thirty minutes to eat our breakfast. I am not worried about the golden boys or my other friends being late because I know that they are used to waking up early naturally, just as I. When we walk into the canteen, all eyes are on us, or rather me. I strut into the breakfast line with confidence, everyone can look at me all they want, I am not going anywhere. Oliver and Jake follow my actions, and soon, our plates are full of food. We head towards a table closer to the back of the cafeteria.
"I hate the way everyone is looking at you." Oliver tells me.
"It's okay, if they all don't think I am worthy enough to be here, I'll just prove them wrong." I tell him.
"I don't think that's why they are looking at you." Oliver mutters, but I still hear it, and so does Jake.
"Yeah, incase you haven't noticed, you are like stunning. With your clothes right now, it accentuates your curves in all the right places. Like seriously, how do you have that kind of figure at 15? Even the prettiest girls from my village can't compete with you on any scale." Jake overly compliments me.
"Bro, stop hitting on our sister." The twins tell Jake in unison. The others approach with their plates of food, sitting down at our table.
"Let me introduce everyone." I say. "Jake, this is Danny, Daniel, this is AJ, Ryder, Jaxson, Tony, and then Mikey. Everyone at this table is either my friend or my brother, so tread carefully." I playfully warn him, pointing out everyone.
"Cool, I'm Jake, a fire wielder. And I'm sorry about earlier, I was just stating the truth." Jake apologizes.
"It's alright, she gets it a lot. I'm also a fire wielder." Tony replies.
"Yeah. Also, I, along with the twins, are dragon riders." Ryder says.
"I'm a water wielder." Jaxson proudly states.
"AJ is a nature wielder and I am an air wielder." Mikey says for him and AJ, knowing that his friend may be uncomfortable with meeting someone new.
"And that's everyone, you already know about my dual wielding." Oliver says, picking at his food. I motion for everyone to hold their hands, Jake just looks confused.
"It's one of our village traditions. Before every meal, the people eating gather hands and say grace to the goddess." I simplify. Jake nods and follows our actions, after we say grace, we begin to eat. I look around and see Aaron and his group of friends sitting down at a table. Aaron is a friend of mine, we both had a couple classes together in primary school. I see him about to shovel food into his mouth without saying grace but another one of my friends, Arthur, nudges him before he can. He already sees me looking and motions me over.
"Can you lead grace?" He throws a meaningful look at Aaron who looks down in shame, as do his other friends who did not stop him. I nod without complaint and crouch down in front of Aaron, pulling him into a hug first. I look at him and his friends before asking.
"Why?"
"Usually you lead grace when all of us don't have our parents with us, and we thought that it might make us look weird." One of Aaron's friends, Jonah, says. I look at them in sympathy.
"It does not matter what others think. Skipping out on grace is almost like abandoning some of our Trinity Stone heritage. We must embrace what we grew up on, it doesn't matter if no one else understands what you are doing. Everyone from our village would be proud to know we didn't abandon our morals." I tell the group, Arthur nodding with me.
I look at the cafeteria searching for anyone from Trinity Stone. I call over John and his group, along with some everyone else I saw in school. I motion over for Oliver and the golden boys to come here, Jake stands with them. All 30 other chosen ones from Trinity Stone Village are here in the forming circle I created. Surprisingly, some people from the older years join our increasing circle. We all hold hands, close our eyes, and bow our heads. The atmosphere becomes silent, then I begin.
"We thank the goddesses for our meal provided to us this bright morning. We give our thanks through humble actions and displayed kindness. We thank the gods from above for our world, for our magic, for our brothers, and for our sisters. We gather here and join hands as a symbol of our appreciation, small in comparison to the good deeds you have served us. We thank the heavens for giving us the courage and strength to survive another day. Through thick and thin, in goddess's name we praise, Gratia." My voice loud in the quiet cafeteria, those who did not join our circle stay silent in respect for our traditions.
"Gratia." Many voices echo in sinc. [ T : Grace. ]
We return to our respective tables, me leaving as well but not without hearing Arthur scold Aaron for being disrespectful. He nods in understanding. I get back to my table where conversation has started back up.
"Hey, you never told me your status Rose." Jake randomly states. I look around the table, nobody speaks up so I take that as a sign to proceed.
"Multi-Wielder of all elements and Dragon Rider." I mutter to him. He stares at me in shock.
"Holy goddess you're perfect!" He yells in excitement. I internally sigh, I get that often but it does nothing but put an insane amount of pressure on me.
"Yeah, yeah. I thought we already went over that." Mikey lightens the atmosphere, raising an eyebrow at my forced smile. They all laugh at Jake's bright red face. I see Headmaster walking up to the stage and nudge Oliver who tells the table. We quiet down, it doesn't take long for other tables to follow suit. The school's entire population is here in this ginormous space, with the exception of those who headed up the ceremonies. Adults whom I assume are apart of the teaching staff line up along the walls.
"Good morning students." Headmaster starts. "I hope you all got some food in you and a good nights sleep because you all will be very busy today. Let's start with the introductions, Pine Stream Village first." Only 7 students introduce themselves, it isn't hard to figure out that they are going from smallest village to largest. When it's my villages turn, we get in line. I am before Ryder and Danny, but Danny just moves me to the very end. I give him a curious look.
"You are the closing act, the big surprise." He says with a playful smile. I roll my eyes at him, always one for the dramatics. I step onto stage last, everyone waiting to hear where my status lies. I walk up to the microphone, my head held high in pride and confidence.
"My name is Rose Wellington from Trinity Stone Village. I am a Multi-Wielder of all the elements and a Dragon Rider." I finish, the lunchroom eerily silent. I walk off the stage glaring at Danny, he smiles even bigger and winks at me. This kid, what am I to do with him!
"Now that the introductions are over, everyone gather into groups of ten and head towards one of the people in the back." Headmaster continues on, as if I didn't just state that I'm the only known person in history to wield all elements and ride dragons. We already have our group, the golden boys (4), AJ, Jaxson, Mikey, Oliver, Jake, and I. Tony leads us to a man in red. I see dark lines of intricate designs running up his arms from underneath his bright red cloak.
"A fire master." I murmur to myself. The man looks at me with an inquiring gaze, I figure he must have heard me. I set my line of sight on his hands: rough exterior, some calluses, the faded lines of paint on his fingers. What would he be doing painting something that causes his hands to be that rough? Then, it hit me. "You are our combat and weapons instructor." I identify again, yet with more confidence.
"You would be correct girl." He says gruffly. "You are very perceptive." He tells me. The nine boys in my group look at me with pride, eight of them knowing that I have not even shown him my best talents yet.
"I went on many hunting expeditions in my village. I learned the signs and slight differences in environment that could make all the difference. I guess I just analyze everyone I come across by habit." I tell the fire master, thinking my words over carefully. Now that I think about it, I realize that I analyze people just like a dragon would.
"I see, my name is Mr.Howard. I am the weapons & combat teacher and will be among the people facilitating your level assessment tomorrow." My future instructor tells us. He moves out the eating area and towards the back of the school, I guess the tour starts right now.
To say that the tour was satisfactory would be pushing it. Mr.Howard brought us everywhere on campus, explaining everything in detail. That's not the part the sucked, what sucked is that he didn't let us do what other groups were able to. For example, one group went to the dragon stables. Their tour guide allowed them to meet each dragon and ask questions, as well as watch them feed the dragons. My tour guide brought us to the stables, described the history of where dragons came from, then left to a different destination. This happened everywhere we went. When we stopped by the classrooms, he stressed the importance of being on time and went on about how history of how elementals began.
My group and I are now eating lunch, looking over our class choices, grace to the goddesses being said before we dine as per usual.
"I don't know. I might take Biology of Dragons, but then again, Music has always been a passion of mine." Ryder tells us.
"How many open slots do you have?" AJ asks.
"I have to take both required dragon riding courses, combat & weaponry, then the English class everyone has to take if they have more than 3 open slots, leaving me with 4 class openings. But, I have already decided on taking the History of the Coven Community, History of the Werewolf Community, and History of the Vampire Community." Ryder sighs out. You can definitely tell which courses Ryder favorites.
"I say skip out on the witches, and take both Biology and Music." Daniel says.
"Yeah, your right." Ryder makes up his mind. He marks the class registration sheet that is being collected by the end of lunch.
"Well I am taking the course Medicines, Powders, Herbs and Energy." AJ says.
"Same here, I can't wait to make more powders." I say happily. Jake looks at me in more shock, Oliver mutters to him with a smile. 'You will get used to it.' My smile slightly dims.
"What other class are you taking?" Mikey asks me.
"Life forms and Magical Creatures." I respond.
"That kind of sounds interesting." Oliver says. "I might take that one too." Jaxson nods in agreement. I am taking the course because I love learning about the creatures of all the communities, and I also heard that sometimes, the instructor can pull a couple strings and show us some of the creatures in person.
"I hope you have all of your classes decided because now we will split into groups. If you are a water wielder, you will be lead by Mr.Barden. If you are a fire wielder, you will be lead by Mr.Jacobs. If you are a nature wielder, you will be lead by Mr.Casey and if you are an air wielder, you will be lead by Mr.Ivanov. If you are a dragon rider, you will be lead by Marcus and Trent. Lastly, if you are a dual wielder or another rare chosen one, you will be lead by me. Now, go off to your designated leader please." Headmaster Jackson tells everyone. I wonder what is to come of this.
