Trying new things

"What is this shit!" I yelled throwing a shirt to the corner. She said casually... Well, what the fuck is casual?

"Dude you ok what are you doing in here- Woah." I shot Cole a dirty look as he entered my room.

"Ever heard of knocking before entering." He ignored my question and looked at my pile of clothes questionably.

"Yo, guys What's going on- wtf when did the bomb go off?" Simon shrieked as he saw my room. I ignored their stupid questions and continued rummaging through all my clothes. The only 'casual' clothes I have is sweatpants. And I know by far that would be completely and utterly inappropriate.

"dude, what's going?" Cole asked calmly as if he was asking a ticking time bomb.

"Angelina is taking me on a date."

One

Two

Three

It only took three seconds before they both nearly went backwards with their laughter. I looked at them unimpressed, clenching and unclenching my fist.

"Guys!" I yelled as I threw my fist into the wall making a new whole. They both jumped suddenly and looked at me startled. "What do I do?"

I scratched my hair as I started to get nervous. This was all completely new to me and I hate every bit of it. I like being in control of everything I do and everything I feel. So right now I am in a completely new world.

Was this normal?

Was this how everyone else feels?

After disconnecting from my emotions for so long, I now do not know how to handle everything. I couldn't help but wonder though if this really what being alive is like? Is how I am supposed to feel?

"Ok, we can do this." Cole finally said as he walked to my closet.

"we will help you."

After lots of yelling, lots of fighting, sweat and tears, mainly from them. We all finally decided on an outfit. I couldn't help but grimace whilst looking at myself in the mirror. Were these black jeans ok? Do people actually wear these shirts with denim jackets? Was this too casual?

"I look like an idiot," I said to myself and slowly deciding that I should just take this off and put on a suit before I embarrass myself.

"No, you look like a normal human being," Cole smirked from the corner of the room. I rolled my eyes and gave them both a glare.

"No, I look ridiculous. These pants look horrible they even have these ugly holes in them. Not to mention the jacket." I growled smacking my lips together.

"Must I remind you that I just bought those jeans for you and that jacket from the most expensive store in California? It is what every 'normal' person wears these days." I grimaced again and shook my head at my shoes...converses.

"Maybe everyone just has bad taste," I interjected. Cole shook his head then walked towards me from the corner of the room.

"Maybe...But this is what your girlfriend wanted. She said casual and THIS." He said while pointing to my outfit. "Is casual. Not wearing a casual outfit would mean that you don't trust her nor listen. So Blaze, what do you want to do."

"She is not my girlfriend."

"And?" Simon and Cole smirked.

This is going to be the longest fucking night of my life.

*****

I am waiting outside my apartment building looking like a complete idiot. I was waiting... I never wait, I am the person who makes the other person wait. I sighed to myself and looked down at my watch.

7:03 pm

She is late... Late by three minutes and twenty-three seconds. Now I know that I definitely look like an idiot. What if she stands me up? I groaned loudly and shuffled my hands into the pockets of my jeans. There were so many 'ifs' to this. Too many to count and I knew that in every worst-case scenario that happens.

There will be hell to pay.

"Oh my God!" I looked to my left and saw a small figure running towards me. I quickly took the time to glance over her outfit. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a jacket paired with a simple white top.

She looked stunning.

"Your three minutes late." I corrected her holding a stern tone.

She rolled her eyes. "Ok, Mr wolf." Her eyes scanned my outfit and I nearly breathed a breath of relief when I saw her smile.

"You look nice." I nodded to her accepting the compliment.

"You look nice as well." She nodded then quickly glanced at her phone for the time.

"Well let's not waste any more time! Let's go." Her hand quickly daughter mine and she dragged me along to her car. I tried my best to keep a positive mindset but It was difficult when I was letting someone drag me.

"Where are we going?" My voice was stern and cold. Making me want to curse at myself. Shit! Why do I have to be so fucking bad at this?

"That my friend is a surprise. Call this payback." She smirked.

***

"A fair?" I said simply. I was rather surprised but not as appalled as I thought I would be.

"Yeah... is that ok?" Her eyes dropped and she started to fiddle with her hands nervously. I quickly grabbed her hands and gave her a reassuring smile.

"It's fantastic I was just surprised cause I have never been to one." Which was true. When I was younger both mum and stepdad could never afford to take me to one. I never cried or made a fuss though. I knew we had troubles with money, and I was ready to do whatever I could do when I was a child. Even if I made sacrifices for things that were important to me.

"What you have never been to one." Her jaw dropped to the floor. "Well let's not waste any more time! Let's go because TONIGHT! You're going to have the most fun you have ever had in your life."

And I had no doubts about it.

After a few rides we went on she pulled me aside telling me that was only our 'warmup'. "Ok ready for the big Cali mega challenge." She said excitedly.

"what's the challenge?" Her smirk grew even wider.

"It's not that hard but all you have to do is eat 10 hotdogs under 10 minutes then go on the biggest roller-coaster 'Thunder-Strike.' Without vomiting, the first one to vomit loses." I scoffed loudly and shook my head. There was no way in hell that I was going to play this game.

"I would rather not play." Just the thought of play and humiliating myself makes me sick to the stomach. I can't see why or who on earth would want to play this game. But yet here is someone... and she is standing right in front of me. "Who even invented this game?"

"Jace and I." She said folding her arms together. "Are you scared?"

"I am not scared I just have dignity." I corrected her, not going to let the manipulative words get to me.

"Sounds like fear to me." She smirked.

"I am sorry, but I am not playing that ludicrous game! I am 24 years old for crying out loud." I said sternly putting a firm tone into every word. "I. am. not. scar-."

"Cha-caw Cha-caw Cha-caw ." She interrupted me making chicken noises. I groaned and ran my hand through my hair.

Like I said before...This was going to be one long fucking night.

I always thought that all girls eat like rabbits and only care for salad and things. From all the models and girls, I have met, they were always raw thin and hardly ever ate. Well, all of that I was taught and was exposed to was one BIG FAT LIE.

My jaw nearly hung to the floor as I saw her practically swallow the hotdogs one by one. I couldn't believe how easily and how quickly she was managing it. Where did they all go? Was she hiding a second stomach or something? It took me an effort just to keep up with her. That in itself was a challenge. It was definitely at this moment I could tell she had grown up with brothers.

She was competitive but so was I, we both were. When she finished and I not long after her, she rubbed the sauce from the corner of her mouth. She didn't even look affected by the ten hotdogs she just ate. Whilst I was having a hard time keeping them down, but I was never going to admit that.

I had come so far now there was no way in hell that I was going to let her win.

"Ready for THUNDER STRIKE!" I almost vomited just by looking at the vicious ride. Going on this ride was a challenge in itself. I could see people vomiting just coming off it.

"Oh, I have never been more ready, princess."

That was the biggest lie, as soon as I sat on the ride I could feel myself go green. "I can't! this is so exciting?" She squealed.

How the fuck is she so excited? She had just inhaled 10 hotdogs under seven minutes without a single sweat. "Are you excited blaze?"

I wanted to say no and blankly get the fuck off this ride. But the adorable smile on her face was nearly like super glue forcing me to stay on his horrid torture device.

"HERE WE GO!"

Have mercy on me...

The start was ok but that was until the ride went on another level and we started to go upside down and started doing a million turns and spins. I had already thrown up but I was strong enough to swallow it. I looked to my left and disbelief shook my whole body.

She was laughing. FUCKING laughing and squealing like she was having the time of her life. Did she somehow trick me and hide nine hotdogs in her pocket or something?

The end of the ride couldn't have come sooner. It was the longest five minutes and 59 seconds of my life. "so how did you go? How do you feel?" She said happily jumping down the steps.

"I feel fine and it was ok," I said not letting any emotion through.

"Are you sure? You look a little pale?" she asked while tilting her head smiling softly.

"Yes, I am fine, the ride did not affect me." Her eyes widened and her smile grew even further.

"Wow, I am impressed! Did you know I am the undefeated champion of that challenge? No one has ever been able to make it through without-." I interrupted her sprinting to the nearest trashcan before vomiting out all 10 hotdogs. "vomiting."

After I was finished, relief swarmed through me as I no longer felt like I was going to be sick. "Here." she smirked passing me a water bottle. "still very impressive, you lasted seven and a half minutes. Jace couldn't even last after the eighth hotdog."

"so what now?" I asked after I finished chugging the water bottle.

"Fairy floss?"

"Fairy floss it is." The rest of it was rather enjoyable and I was rather surprised at myself. I let her drag me into one of those tiny ass photobooths what weren't made for people over 6ft. I even let her make me go in those tiny ass Satan craft cars called 'bumper cars. But for the gorgeous smile, I got to see, it was all worth it.

"Oooo let's go on the fairest wheel?" She announced pointing towards the ride. At this point, I was buried in the palm of her hands. Ready to go to her beck and call. She had me wrapped around her little finger.

"Do we need any more tickets?" I asked holding her hand as we both walked to the fairest wheel.

"No, we have just enough for the fairest wheel." We got into the ride and for the first time, the seat on the ride was actually somewhat comfortable.

Thank the Lord.

"I hope you have been having a good time... I am sorry if I have been a bit much. It's just been so long since I have been able to have fun and smile." I caught her hand interrupting her cute little ramble.

"It was the most fun I think I have ever had...thanks to you." No one in this world has ever been able to make me laugh or smile. She did it with so much ease without even trying. "Thank you."

My hand reached the back of her head and I didn't waste another wasted second to not taste those sweet lips. No matter how much I get a taste I still want more. It was a drug I never wanted to run out of. It was something I never wanted to live without. She was perfect, she was an angel. She was too perfect for me, but yet she was mine.

Her soft delicate hands run through my hair eagerly as she kissed me desperately. It made me happy that how I felt about her was the same she felt about me. I answered her prayers and smoothly slid my tongue in her mouth which made her gasp. The kiss was perfect, she was perfect and, at this moment, I made a vow to myself.

I was never going to let her go.
