My face paled as I saw his devilish smirk while holding the ticking bomb.
"Blaze look I." I started but my words were hitched when he stood up. I cleared my throat and then continued. "It wasn't me who put that there."
"No, it was your best friend, yes?" He asked raising an eyebrow as he started to slowly stalk towards me.
"Well yes, but it was not my idea nor intention to put that there. I-I don't want to kill you. But Jace he doesn't know about me and you. I'm so sorry if I had of know i-I would have stopped him-." My ramble was cut when he pushed me against a wall.
"Is that so, Princess." He asked huskily giving shivers up my spine as I could feel his breath against my neck.
"Y-yes." He hummed but didn't say anything. "Please, believe me, I promise that it wasn't me."
"I know." He stated.
"I saw that friend of yours on my camera footage. I saw him place it under my bed and I saw him leave my apartment with that sick grin of his. Your friend may have thought that was a good idea. But I am sorry to say that your friend couldn't have been more stupid. Especially when he is dealing with me." He says chuckling to himself at the end.
"I told him," I said quickly. "After he told me what he had done.... I then told him everything about me and you. After that, I rushed here... I couldn't bear the thought of you think-." He interrupted me once again but this time it was his lips that stopped me. My arms wrapped around his neck on their own account. My body having a natural response to his touch. And just like always his dominance brought instant weakness to my legs. Without his strong grip around my waist, I would be on the floor right now.
He pulled away, just as out of breath as I. He leaned his forehead against mine, his beautiful ice blue eyes staring into mine. "It's ok, princess." He whispered.
"I believe you...You want to know why?" He asked his seriousness turning into a playful smile.
"Why?" I asked sighing.
"Because I have learnt everything about you. I know where your thinking because your nose scrunches and you get lines on your head." He said caressing my forehead.
"I don't have wrinkles!" I defended hiding my forehead with my hand.
"I know that every time your nervous you bite your lip and start rubbing your arm." My eyes enclosed on his as he continued.
"I noticed that every time your happy the perfect shade of pink covers your cheeks lightly as your gorgeous brown eyes start to sparkle. I know that when you're with me your body instantly wants me, just as much as I want you. The way your eyes dilate and your legs buckle, and the way you bite your lip. It screams to me." Every word he said absorbed into my heart, and I was completely bewitched by him.
"And I know when you're lying because every time you lie. The light that was in your eyes, vanishes."
I kissed him with all the passion, lust and love inside of me. Letting my hands glide over his muscular frame and through his clothing. His hands were just as guilty as mine as his hand roamed everywhere. He kissed me with so much power and strength but also tenderness before he whispered into my neck.
"You're killing me, princess."
"And you're killing me."
His arms effortlessly grabbed my legs wrapping them around his waist before he placed me onto the kitchen corner. My hands tugged hugged his hair as his lips placed kisses all over my neck hungrily. The feeling was amazing, I had never felt more alive.
"I." kiss." Need." Kiss. "to." Kiss. "Go." Kiss. "My." Kiss. "family." Kiss. "will." Kiss. "be." Kiss." Waiting." I breathlessly said biting my lips as his kisses and wandering hands left no remorse.
"I don't give a fuck."
And who was I to stop him?
"princess wake up." I groaned tiredly rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"What? Let me sleep I am comfy." I whimpered snuggling into his chest. Everything that I wanted was here. It was all perfect. The warmth from the fireplace and his large arms and the cosiness from the fluffy blanket.
I couldn't dare to leave.
He chuckled loudly filling the room with the beautiful sound as his muscular chest vibrates. "Sorry princess but you need to get up, your phone called ten minutes ago. It was your family, I tried waking you, but you were out like a light."
I groaned sitting up, stretching out my sore tired limbs. "Now that is a sight to see." He smirked shooting me a wink.
"A sight what shall not bless your sights any further as I shall get dressed now." I gave my own smirked as I wrapped my naked body with the blanket.
"I should have just lied." He mumbled making me laugh.
"And what good have that gave you, Hmm?" I asked grabbing his chin forcing him to look at me. "I would have gotten angry and what good has that ever caused you?"
"More time with you." He gritted clenching his jaw. I couldn't help but smile as I caressed his cheek. He could be so sweet at times. So cute.
"well, perhaps you should arrange a time where we can meet again." I cocked an eyebrow as I started shuffling my clothes on.
The seriousness on his face returning. "Perhaps I should." He nodded, the corners of his lips lifting. His eyes turned dark when he was eyeing my stomach, I let my eyes wander his gaze and my heart sunk when I saw what he was looking at.
My ribs.
"You said you did not have any other injuries. You're lucky I noticed while we were having ... I could have hurt you." I wrapped my arms around him as I sat on his lap.
"I'm sorry... It's just to me it's not a big deal because I am used to it." His jaw tightened and his hands turned to hard fists.
"Who."
"Blaze not now." I dismissed going to sit up but he caught my arm.
"Tell me?" He asked pleadingly scanning my eyes for answers.
"I can't Blaze..." I said weakly. "I really need to go otherwise my father would be suspecting something."
"Wait." I looked at him raising my eyebrows.
"If not now. Will you tell me sometime soon?" He asked tucking a hair behind my ear as he looked at me hopefully. My smile was weak and I put my hand over his giving it a small squeeze.
"soon... I promise." He sighed looking displeased but did not press any further. "You better come see me soon because I do not know if I can wait." He growled playfully. Lightening the dull mood.
"Maybe that is my plan." I winked which made him laugh. "Well, who I am to disappoint a princess." I rolled my eyes but smiled as out lips connected desperately.
But just as quick as they connected, I departed and giggled, shaking my head. "Ok, ok mister! I really must go." He sadly let me go wishing me goodbye looking as grumpy as ever. I quickly grabbed my things and fixed my shoes just as I was getting out the door.
Time to go home...
I walked into the house, I once used to love calling home but now I only felt shame towards it. "Oh, look little miss perfect is here." My steps were caught when I saw my whole family in the dining room drinking, eating and socialising. All heads snapped to mine as Rebecca made my presence announced.
"How did you go sweetheart?" I tilted my head confused about why she was asking me that.
"At your friends." She then added making my eyes widen.
"Oh yeah sorry... my head spaced for a second. She is ok now." Mamma nodded but I could feel all three of my brother's eyes on mine as well as papas. "Sit down Angelina, you must be famished. You didn't eat any lunch today." Grandma cooed brushing my hair behind my ears.
"Yes, she was too busy wondering off." Juan commented glaring at me.
"Thanks, grandma," I said quietly ignoring Juans comment and sat down just as one of the maids placed a plate down in front of me. I silently ate my Italian pasta as every talked and conversed around me.
"So, Angelina." Aunt Jessica sang as she sipped her wine. "How is school at the moment? Any boys?" She asked smugly. All my brothers, papa, uncles and cousins snapped their heads to us as they heard the word 'boys'.
"No Aunt Jessica," I mumbled moving the food around my plate with my fork. "I have no interest in boys." Except for men.
"I am only focussing on school and my friends." Lie.
"I am glad to hear that. But I am not surprised as I know my daughter is well focussed and knows the importance and value of herself and her name. Perhaps I should ask your own daughters that question and hope to the mafia rank that they share the same answers." Papa spoke calmly sipping in between his words as stared dangerously into Aunt Jessica's eyes. Rebecca and Sophie gulped while Uncle Luke held his own fighting glare directed at Papa.
My aunts and Mamma also joined in but that didn't surprise us so much. They have all gotten countless remarks and mean comments about them from Jessica. Even uncle Louis, and my other uncles joined in as well as my cousin's and brothers. Except all of the glares were all directed at Aunt Jessica. It wasn't until now that I realise that none of our family really except Aunt Jessica. Although the mafia world is cold and cruel the value of family means everything of warmth and kindness. And Jessica's nature stands against that. It wasn't until when Uncle Enzo cleared his throat that everyone stopped, and all tension dropped.
"I shall call for all of the males to join in the conference room. There is new information about Blaze and Sparrow that needs to be brought into your awareness." Everyone's eyes widened and slight fear was brought into every one of the Garcia's and Moretti's eyes.
"We shall head there, now brother." Uncle Alex said promptly as Mathew nodded at his father.
"let's go," Vince said standing up first trailing behind Uncle Enzo and the others as one by one they left the room.
"I wish at times they involved us," Laura mumbled sadly looking at Uncle Enzo and Vince in admiration. Aunt Elizabeth clutched her hand and smile sympathetically. "I know Laura, but they do it to protect us." I wanted to roll my eyes and yell at them for being so stupid and oblivious. This is a new decade, not the 18th century. We aren't useless we are women. We can and should be able to protect ourselves. We do not need them... Men... to save us and to 'protect' us.
"I don't know you girls pull such a big fuss over this. Thanks to dad we can do whatever we want and don't need to worry about a thing." Sophie said waving Laura's comment away.
"Because of them, you were able to go to university and do whatever you want. You should be grateful." Rebecca added smirking at Laura as she started crumbling in her seat.
"Thank you, daughters. See ladies at least my two daughters have managed to accept and learn the truth of their place." Jessica said smugly, smirking at my mothers and aunts glares.
"Yes, I know that as well... I just wanted to know more about the two assassins Blaze and Sparrow. It is very worrisome with them drowning in my thoughts." Laura defended herself fiddling her fingers.
"Yes! I wonder about them as well." Aunt Alice said calmly with Aunt Susan nodding along. "I hope that whoever they both are that we kill them soon," Mamma says quietly holding my hand tightly.
"I am sure whoever those men are and whatever they have done that the mafia will kill them and put an end to the blacklist," Grandma said strongly putting hope into all of their eyes.
But it was all foolish hope and lies.
I sucked in a shaky breath and tried to settle my shaky hands. How else was I supposed to react? Little did my family know. But they all loathed me. my family, my brothers, my mother and my father, all tell me and pray me to let them get to know me. But what they don't know is that they do know me.
And they hate every bit of me.
I dismissed myself and went up to my room holding all of my unshed tears. All emotions flowed through me all at once. Blaze. Tony. Boss. Jace. Sparrow... Everything and all the lies were filling up my head. It was all getting too much. The pain in my broken ribs, the pain in my head, the pain in my heart.
I opened my bedroom door and turned around to close it. I closed my eyes trying to ignore the pain. my hands what were fists shook with my whole body as I was fighting with myself. How long could I handle this abuse? How long can I endure this mental torture? How long can I handle lying to everyone? How can I choose the love of my life or my family?
I can't...
I wanted to scream out in pain. I wanted to scream in agony and ask for someone to help me. But only weak sobs left my lips as tears ran down my face. My hands fell by my side as I started to fall to the ground, but strong arms were able to capture me.
"I'm here princess."
