No one can predict what happens in life... No one can. no matter how much power or how much money you have. The future is inevitable and will always remain unknown. Everything was black. It was cold, lonely and absolutely bone-chilling. There was no light, no brightness and no hope.
I was stuck in my mind.
I could hear voices and people around me. I could smell a familiar disgusting odour. The floor beneath me was dirty and I could feel the mud beneath my fingers.
"Let my daughter go!"
"What do you want from us? Who are you?!"
The cries from the people were getting louder and more desperate. The cries sank my heart, feeling more painful than the tight chains around my wrists and legs.
"Please don't hurt her! Whatever your issue is with us please don't take them out on my daughter. Hurt me... KILL ME FOR ALL I CARE!"
I opened my eyes slowly, grunting loudly as I sat up. Shots of pain travelled up my spine causing me to cough. "Look who's up."
It was worse than a nightmare, it was real. The thing I was terrified of happening for the last eight years is happening. All my family was locked in a small cell with bars surrounding them. Jace was chained to the wall facing me with a pitiful look. I only realised now how bad this was. I was chained to the ground with barely any room to stand or move. I was head to toe covered in blood and bruises. The only guess I can make is that Tony had his fun whilst I was unconscious.
Coward.
Despite my body protests, I stood up looking deadly into the boss's eyes.
"nice to see you awake my dear princess, I was afraid my men took it too far. You know how they have quite a mighty grudge on you." He smirked.
I spat to my left and balled my fists while looking at the boss. "I wish I could say it was nice to see you too." I spat sourly.
"LET HER GO!" Papa screamed while banging on the bars. "My daughter is innocent."
Boss and tony laughed humorously at my family's naïve mistake. They still didn't know... they still don't understand that I am the reason they are here. "Oh, you stupid fools." Boss chuckled as he stalked towards me. "Your daughter isn't your daughter nor is she innocent."
Step by step he smirked turning his back to my distressed confused family. My brothers were trying to break the bars, my cousins were trying to scream and yell. My uncles kept a deadly emotionless face while my aunties were crying hysterically. My parents were no better, mamma was trying to break free, and papa looked furious. "she is a soldier, a monster, more of a warrior than any of you fools combined." He caressed my cheek as he was now directly in front of me. He smirked at me evilly ignoring my deadly stare before turning back to my family.
"she is sparrow."
I didn't waste a second and as soon as I got the opportunity, I wrapped the heavy chain tightly around his neck. Guns were instantly were pointed towards me. "Let- them -go," I say slowly through my gritted teeth.
Mammas and Papa's faces were as pale as ghosts, my brothers looked petrified, my family looked speechless. "time is up princess, your time to pay the deal." He said through a wicked grin. Tony was laughing like a maniac in the background.
My grip around the chain didn't subside. I wanted to kill him and nothing was going to stop me. The purple colour growing into his face was only prompting me to continue. "Tony." Boss gasped.
Tony nodded simply, smirking towards me and in seconds my questions were answered. I was shot to the ground as electricity was getting shocked through my body. I clutched the metal band was locked across my neck. My screams and cries were nearly not heard, as all of the boss's men's laughed at me. Boss didn't laugh nor did he look worried instead he looked satisfied, he was a psychopath. His grin from ear to ear showed his yellowish rotten teeth. Just as his eyes shadowed the darkest shade of black.
"Tony that is enough, I think she has had enough now." I almost was thankful when it finally stopped. But I knew that this was only the start, they wanted me to suffer.
I wanted to speak, I wanted to yell but I couldn't even get a noise out. The skin around my neck was burnt badly. I could smell the burnt flesh in the air. It was sickening to most, but in the black market, this is what art looked like.
Seeing someone come to their lowest point of defeat.
Boss crouched in front of me, tilting his head as he pretended to sympathise with me. "How does it feel sparrow hmm? How does it feel to lose?" I squeezed my eyes shut as a whimper left my throat. He chuckled lowly and then bent lower letting his breath breathe down my neck. "Don't worry princess, only a few days of this until you have learnt your lesson and when I have finally finished killing your side-kick and family. You- will- be- mine."
"Get the fuck away from her!" Jace yelled, trying to escape from the wall.
"Ahh, Jace the sidekick! How could I forget you!" I tried crawling to get up and save Jace. But was weak... The chains were only getting heavier and heavier. Jace looked deadly at Boss with the purest eyes of hatred.
"You know it's quite fitting you're here Jace. I remember you just like a baby with nothing but a dead mother and forgotten father. But of course, that is all fixed now."
No one knew what to say. No one questions or talks while the boss is talking because whenever you listen to him a random piece of a puzzle is gathered.
"w-what do you mean." Jace cowered.
"Oh, silly boy." Boss smirked. "do you really think I paired you up with dear princess for nothing?" he laughed humorously.
"Everything I do is for a reason and not without purpose." He walked then to the cell my family is in more so towards Louis. "After all why wouldn't I subconsciously want to reunite a family."
"What the fuck are you speaking about, old man." Louis spat.
"Louis my friend meets your son, Jace."
Tainted Hands
"W-w-what? H-how?" Louis stammered. I looked at Jace with tears in my eyes he looked back at me with defeat. We were really family. I was sad but I couldn't help being happy.
"your dear dead wife wasn't just anyone I am afraid. She was my niece, the daughter of my rather stupid brother. When she was a child, she was just like my own but when she grew up, she grew up on rather the dumber side. Just like her bloody father. I was fine with her at first being a member of your stupid mafia. But when I found out she was pregnant I decided I should end her rebellious act and when the time emerged. I gained a new soldier and destroyed the annoying nuisance. Only to find out the solider was just as much as a nuisance as the mother was."
Tears poured down my face, as well as Jace's face. these last eight years I and Jace have been trying to find out his history. Find out what happened to his mother and find out who his father is. All his life he has blamed himself for his mother's death but now everything is different. It is more complicated and worse than we both imagined.
"C'mon men let leave the family so they can really get together. I have a feeling they will want to meet Sparrow and their new family member Jace."
One by one they all left the room smugly and grinning wildly while laughing at one another. Leaving me with nothing but pain and sorrow. I wanted to say something but with my throat and my heartache aching constantly I couldn't bear a word even if I tried.
"what the hell is going on." I could hear Juan whisper to himself. He sounded so destroyed and broken. He wasn't the big bad older brother anymore instead he was just Juan.
No one knew how to answer that question or what to say. Cause no one could know what was going to happen. Because whatever boss had planned for me and for them was going to remain unknown.
