"So, what now sparrow?" Devon chanted. "Huh?"
Devon's friends circled me like their prey. They circled me like how a pack of wolves lured their prey into a corner. Though I was already in this corner. Physically and mentally, even before I was in Boss's hands. This corner had always been my spot, whether it was known or not. I had gotten used to it. "Look how weak she is?" one of the boys gloated.
"Oh, she has always been weak. Her disguise might have been deceiving but it never hid her true form of strength. Sparrow right from the start was the boss's little toy. And now that boss is sick of his toy, he wants to get rid of the old trash and bring in the new." I snorted loudly and smirked at Devon's friend Chad. Chad had always been a shadow. Always trying to be seen...To be heard...To be noticed. He didn't use the shadows though to his advantage. Unlike me, he went against it. so now he is stuck, he is nothing.
"So what? If you're that desperate to be his bitch, be my guest. Your more of a bitch than I am." his friends stiffened their laughter, and I could see the corner of Devon's lips lift slightly.
"Enough of this!" Chad loudly roared. "Are we having our fun with her or not?" Jace and my family's faces paled. They had to see me be tortured again. To be kicked, whipped, electrocuted and be used. They had used any toy weapon they owned. I have grown up with this pain, this torture. I have gotten the ability to hold in my screams, to not show my pain. Though I know the torture my family and Jace are going through, is tough. It is not a pretty sight to see human flesh hanging from the back.
"Chad. Get my Knife..." Devons group surrounded me smirking down at me grimly. In this position, I was in no position, shape or form to be fighting. I was a mere mouse and they were a hungry group of predators.
"Devon, don't do this!" Jace cried. "You hate boss. She didn't kill your family, he did. Think of all the pain he has caused you. This is not her fault, none of this messed up shit is. Please, Devon. Because if you do this, then you are just like him. You would be just like a boss and just like Tony." Jace pleaded desperately.
"Shut up, you Fucked piece of shit. You're just a useless bitch." The group of boys joked and laughed at Jace's attempt to help me.
"So how are we going to do this? Because the chains are just shields in my opinion." Chads eyes were almost black with desire and bloodthirst. "Let's tie her to the chair with some of the rope then. We can make her family watch the full show with full view." They all looked to Devon for permission. Like he was their leader, their superior. I guess that makes sense. When Boss took the younger boys in, he made Devon be their coach. Devon taught them the rules, he mentored them, got them through Tony's torture. He was like their big brother, their protector.
"Fine. Do it then."
"Are you sure, you want to do this?" I smirked
"SHUT UP BITCH! Speak when spoken too." Chad yelled while kicking me in the ribs. Getting tied up with ropes and getting shown knives with dried blood on them. It doesn't trigger me or scare me as it should. But I can see that it scares my family and that is enough satisfaction for them.
"Clem, get my knife." Devon looked me up and down as if he was reading a book. Reading the future. Predicting where he will make the first cut, the first stab wound, the first tear. He once Clem brought his weapon, Devon leaned down slowly. I didn't know what he was going to do.
"So, sparrow.". He whispered so quietly that no one can hear. "You have been the devil in my dreams. The mask you hide behind, is the face that haunts my dreams. The face I see every time I hear my father and brother have their last breath. But Princesa." He hummed. "todos deben ser gratuitos" I furrowed my eyebrows and before I could question him. He harshly stabbed the knife in my thigh. I gritted my teeth and sucked in a breath desperately.

In a second, in a moment, less than a minute was all it took to let the games finally begin. Despite everything and anything, Devon was about to change my life, my families and friends and finally.... Blazes life.
"What's happening?" Clem spurred the moment of silence when the lights started to flicker, and alarms started to go off. I didn't know what was going on either, but I was not going to let this moment come to waste. Because this was my time to rise, to let my wings go and become the Sparrow I have always been. It was my time to show my family, to show my boss as well as all my enemies, what I am fully capable of.
Using the knife that was still in my leg I pulled it out hastily ignoring the pain and quickly cut the rope that was around me. If these idiots tied me right, I would not be free right now. But I guess this was a part of Devon's plan. Guns and weapons were already being flown and shot at me and Devon didn't waste a second to throw me a pistol.
"WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE," Devon screamed as he is fighting his friends. "THEY ARE GOING TO SEND MORE MEN DOWN HERE IN ANY SECOND."
Clem tried throwing me to the ground but using the strength and skill I still had, I used it to throw him across the room. Without any emotion, I shot him between his two eyebrows which killed him instantly. Devon's friends panicked and frightened cowardly ran away which I took advantage of to let my family go.
"Come," I said simply. "We don't have much time."
Jace and my brothers and family all ran out of the cell. "What's going on?" Ben asked panicked.
"No questions, let's go," I said in an ordered manner and then looked at Jace who only nodded.
Walking up to Clem's lifeless body, I stole his protective vest and weapons before signalling to everyone that it was time to go. In the background, I could hear men coming down the elevators which only indicated that time was on our hands.
Each second and minute we were running there was bombs and guns being thrown at us but I, Jace and Devon worked as a team to keep my family safe. It wasn't just us who was rebelling against Boss and the black-market assassins. But it was the teens, it was the seniors, it was Ares who has helped save my life before. We all have had enough of being used as puppets of being sacrificed like cattle, this was our time to rise.
With all the training I had done over the years, with all the tears tony had put me through almost was worth it at this time. Because I was able to use it against him and Boss to fight against the blistering bullets. I knew I was showing my skill and talent to my family right now, I knew I was showing them exactly what sparrow was capable of. I knew I was showing them a monster...
"Watch it," I yelled at John who stupidly tried to run next to me. I pushed him back harshly and quickly punched the man who was aiming at my brother and then shot him. We quickly ran up the stairs until we reached the rooftop. I quickly locked the door then pushed Devon up onto the wall with all my force.
"Devon, tell me right now what the fuck is going on!" I ordered harshly. "Cause if you don't tell me. I will kill you just like I did to all of those men downstairs."
"Just like you did to my brother and father." He spat.
"That was my duty, you son of a bitch and if this is a part of a plan to save me and my family then kill. I. will. Make. Your. Life. A. living. Hell." All my force was at his neck giving me a perfect presentation of the air leaving his body.
"This has nothing to do with you." He gasped. "We all have something to win by killing this joint." I furrowed my eyebrows. "We win freedom." I let him go so he could catch his breath. It was hard for me to believe that he would help me. After all, I did take everything away from him.
"Well then, what's now? You broke me and my family out. What's now in the plan." The corners of his mouth lifted, and he looked at me with a new fire in his eyes other than hatred.
"We get a new leader."
"Guys!" Alexander yelled loudly. "I hate to interrupt the plan that you are keeping from us. But not dying down there is not going to stop us from dying up here." Rolling my eyes I walked to the ledge ignoring my panicked family with Jace alongside me.
"Do you think you can do this?" He asked wearily.
"I don't know Jace... but I don't have a choice. If anyone can predict and save everyone from Boss, it is us two." He smiled simply while not saying anything and gave my hand a tight squeeze.
"Well as much as I hate to admit that my 'uncle' is right. We do have people surrounding us." Jace said which caused me to frown. The men were banging and yelling at the locked door, and we also had men shooting from down below. But before all loss of hope could be thought of, the roar of a helicopter was heard above us.
"You guys ready," Devon smirked. Behind him, my family huddled together all looking at the helicopter afraid it was a possible enemy. My family always had power and advantages but as soon as they were stripped, they were defenceless and weak.
"Oh, I am so ready." Jace rubbed his hands hungrily for blood and vengeance which I couldn't wait to get a taste of myself.
"Let the games begin."
