Sanem was more confused now that she spoke with Can, he sounded regretful but then again he was now over his anger. Plus she had never left him before, it's funny that he always was the one to leave or threaten to leave, he had left so many others without a second thought and now she had left and he was still there.

Her phone rang and she picked it up "Hello."

"Sanem, can you come over now, I have talked with Engin he is excited to meet you."

"Did you tell him about the book?"

"Evet, he said he would speak with you before he made up his mind. But, he is a fair man, I think he just wants to know you a little bit since I am always talking about you."

"Ok, I will be right over. Thank you for doing this for me." "It has been my pleasure" he answered and hung up.

She picked up the journal that contained her story and placed it in her bag. She didn't want to appear to eager, even though she was. She walked over to Emir's house and knocked on the door.

Emir opened the door and escorted her into his kitchen, where a younger version of Emir was sitting, he looked to be in his forties. He stood and held out his hand to shake hers.

"My baba has been telling me a lot about you. I could hardly wait to meet the young woman who has brought so much happiness to him."

She smiled shyly but took his and shook it.

"Thank you, he and your Anne have been so kind to us."

"I hear you friend returned home."

"Evet, she was homesick."

"You are a brave young lady to stay here by yourself."

She lowered her head and then looked up right into his eyes "It is more like self preservation."

Sanem made tea for them, asked where Emir's wife, Belgin was. They spent a enjoyable afternoon together talking and getting to know each other.

"My baba, said you have written a novel."

"Evet, it is my dream to write a best selling novel."

"Do you mind if I read it? I am sure he told you I am an editor for a publishing company."

"Yes, but please, don't feel like you have to read my story, you are on vacation, visiting family."

"I would love to read your book and tell you my thoughts."

She pulled the book and handed it to him. She then said her goodbyes and walked home.
