Before he pulled off, Can called Emre.

"Abi, Where are you?"

"Not at the hut." he laughed

"Yeah, I got that, Huma is driving me crazy so I thought I would join you at the hut."

"You can stay there tonight, I am not coming back. I plan on getting a hotel room."

"Baba will be back tomorrow, I am picking him up at the airport. I had the locks at the house changed just in case Huma tried to go there. So if you go back I will text you where I hid the extra key."

"I have a bag so I won't be going back tonight but I will meet you and Baba there tomorrow. What time is he getting in?"

"Around noon, he wants to come to the agency before going home so just meet us there. If you don't mind I will stay here tonight then go home and change before picking him up."

They talked a few more minutes then Can hung up the phone, started the truck and looked over at Sanem. "where would you like me to drop you off?"

"We are very close to a friend's house do you mind just dropping me off there? It isn't very far from here. In fact, this is part of her property."

Can looked at her and just nodded "Tell me where to go, I will be happy to take you to your friend's." When they got back to the road she had him turn left onto the road, they had barely gone a mile when she asked him to slow down. "You will miss the turn off if you go to fast, if you don't know where it is you would never be able to find the entrance."

He looked over at her with questions in his eyes "Her mother built this place when she was a child, apparently her father was an abusive man and after the divorce her mother wanted to make sure he could never find them."

"Where did she get the money?"

"Family money that her husband knew nothing about. It was in a trust until she turned twenty-five, her birthday happened to be two months after the divorce." Sanem smiled. "There!" she pointed "See the trees that look like they make an arch."

"Wow, I would have never noticed the dirt road." He pulled onto the road which turned to gravel about a half a mile back. He kept driving until he noticed two huge stone pillars, he looked over at Sanem.

"Turn left here. It will be an easier drive now the driveways are paved from here."

"Driveways?"

"Yes, there are several cabins on the property. Keep driving, you will drive pass the first house on the right, that is Mirhiban's house."

"Isn't that the woman who spoke to you at lunch, asking you to sign her book?"

"It is. We have met several times and have become very good friends. Follow this drive" she said and pointed to drive that led behind Mirhiban's house. "See the cabin on the left, you can park anywhere here."

"Is your friend home?"

"I am not sure, she did have plans, but it doesn't matter." She opened her door and hopped down "Come on, come with me." She opened the back door and grabbed her bag. Can had made his way to her side of the truck and grabbed her bag. She pointed at his bag "You might want to grab that bag also."

He did as she said and followed her to the cabin, it was a beautiful place. When she opened the door and walked in he followed her, he loved the open concept of the room.

"Just set the bags down by the door for now. Would you like some tea?"

"Sanem" he hesitated "Is it ok for us to be here?"

She laughed "Oh, yes, it is. I'm sorry I should have said something sooner."

"Does your friend let you stay here sometimes?"

"Can. Can, this is my home." he turned to look at her.

"What do you mean?"

"This is my new home, I live here on Mirhiban's estate, well, she calls it a farm, because there is a garden and some fruit trees but it is really an estate."

She stopped talking when he grabbed her into his arms and hugged, he bent down and kissed her as if his life depended on it.

"You brought me to your new home?"

"Well, yes!"

"You trust me enough to bring me to the one place you didn't want anyone to know about?"

"Evet, but Can, there is more you need to know. please let me finish the tea and I will explain."

He sat down on the couch and waited for her. She finally brought the tea over and handed him a cup, he sit quietly waiting for her to start.

"I am not the only who wants to live here without the knowledge of others. Mirhiban moved here years ago after a nasty break up, Bulut, the young man, who helps her farm the land, quit his business, sold his partnership in a law firm because he could no longer handle the ugliness of his clients and then there is Deniz. Poor, sweet, lovely Deniz. Her mother had always been jealous of her and how much her father doted over her, after he passed away, her mother's mental abuse became too much for her to take and she had a nervous breakdown. Neither, Bulut or Deniz wants anyone to find them. So, my secret is safe with them and thiers with me."

Can sat there in silence. "So, you see Can, no one will ever say a word about you staying here. If you don't want to be found then no one will find you either."

He could hardly believe what Sanem had told him, the fact that she had brought him here in the first place, that she believed and trusted him enough, made him grateful. But, now hearing all these stories, he was honored that she trusted him that much.

"Sanem, I am honored that you trust me enough to bring me here. I will not betray your trust."

"I know, Can." "But, what about Mirhiban, will she be upset that you brought me here?"

"I text her earlier and told her what I knew about what was going on. She said, it sounded as if you might be one of her misfits and the more the merrier. She was going to the movies with Bulut and Deniz."
