==================================
You stared in complete shock at what's happening at the moment. You stared at your eye that's dripping blood; enough to make the blood go down your cheek and onto the sink. You gingerly touch it, in pure shock and disbelief. Your back bled, that you adapted to by now. But now your eye? Not to mention how you hear chanting from the distance, the voice distorted yet familiar. Your head began to pound and you clutched your head and took deep shaky breaths. What is happening right now? Is this even okay? The Seal never acted like this. Maybe you should ask Papa about this - but how? He'll freak and take you away just as your life here was getting better.
Right as your mind paced to what to do, you felt the ground rumble - as though giant footsteps were approaching the city. Gasping as your head began to pound, you hopped up and opened the bathroom window.
If you ever told your past self what you're seeing, she'd be laughing directly at your face and call you a lunatic
There were duel monsters - literal duel monsters terrorizing the city. You weren't lying, you even remember a few of the monsters that roared and chased people. Thanking the gods the window was wide enough, you hopped out of the window and skidded to the floor to figure out what the hell is happening. You quickly ran over to one of the monsters and found the closer you are to these monsters, the louder the chants in the back of your head.
Holy shit. You gasped as you covered your mouth, this is the Seal's doing.
But why would the Seal resort to things like this? What does it even achieve in doing this-
You looked around to see people screaming and running away from these monsters to realize it was fear. The Seal leeches off of these sorts of things. Your heart began to pound loudly as your breathing got cut short.
It's all because of you, isn't it? You could never live such a happy life you briefly dreamed of last night with Yami. You knew the time would be approaching to tell, but this soon? You only just started figuring out how to tell Yami.
"...PLEASE!" You begged out loud without realizing it as you went on your knees, "SEAL OF ORICHALCOS. PLEASE HELP ME TAKE CARE OF THE MESS I STARTED."
One monster averted its gaze on you and tried to reach out to you, but was soon stopped. A bright green light forged in between you and the monster, as the irritation you had during the finals sprung into action. Being able to tolerate it, you watched the whole Seal form between the two of you and within seconds, the monster disappeared.
You saw it as both a miracle and a concern. You never had the Seal silently comply so easily, especially with no remarks or teasing. It gave you a sign that this is one hundred percent correlating to the Seal's doing. Taking deep breaths, you immediately ran to the next monster that was nearby. You didn't even realize how many monsters you got rid of, you just wanted them all gone. You vaguely recalled some news stations trying to get footage out of you but the Seal immediately tampered with the video and audio.
After getting rid of at least most of these monsters, you felt extremely dizzy and overwhelmed. You didn't even realize this took pretty much all day. You ended up falling to your knees as you took deep breaths out of pure exhaustion. This was the most activity you ever had to do that relates to the Seal of Orichalcos. Your vision was blurry and blood was still pouring from your eye. You gasped as you stared at the blood on the floor as you realized you never put on your eyepatch. Covering your eye in an instant, you quickly looked around to find a pair of black sunglasses on the floor. Thanking miracles, you put the glasses on and got up quickly. You knew it wasn't over. You got up from the floor and tried to look for any more monsters, but were soon stopped when you felt a giant hand grab you from behind.
"....You." A raspy voice came from behind as you let out a gasp and turned to see a tall hooded man stare down before you. The man's hood was over his head, but you could see a man with glasses and a giant beard. He wore a black coat with a green necklace, a necklace you strangely felt attracted to.
"...Wh...What do you want?" You asked,
"You are going to duel me. Right now." He smirked, "Whether you like it or not."
"..I...If I refuse?" You asked,
"You can't." His voice deepened as he dragged you along with him.
"G-Get off!" You squeaked as you tried to wriggle yourself away from him to find it unsuccessful as he practically threw you into his arms and lifted you to prevent further squirming. Grabbing the sunglasses so they won't fall, you stared at this man in pure horror as he walked into a building and proceeded to the elevator. He let out a chuckle,
"Yes, I'll use you first before I attack him. That'll do, it'll show him who's boss."
"Wh...What are you even talking about?" You mumbled as the elevator opened its doors to the roof. He walked in the center of it and threw you on the ground. He let out a laugh and threw you a duel disk.
"Prepare yourself, little girl." He hissed as he pulled out a dark green duel disk that extended like a claw. You grabbed the duel disk and slowly rose as you put on the disk,
"...What is this for?" You demanded, "You basically dragged me up here, the least you could do is explain-"
"(y/n)?!" You turned pale when you heard a familiar voice. You turned around to see Yami, Joey, Tea, and Tristan staring at you in horror.
"What's going on?!" Tristan gasped,
"I'll make this short, Pharaoh. I have something you want. I contain the three Egyptian Gods." The man spoke as he lifted his hoodie off his head, "And you have something I want; your soul."
Your head jolted back to the man in concern, what does he mean by that?
"But not to worry, I figured I'd show you an example as to the great power I possess." He smirked, "And I'll start with this girl over here. You do know how to duel, right?" He asked you. You silently stared at him as you pulled out the deck from a deck-holder you always keep attached to your pants.
"That's more like it." The man smirked as he took out his deck, "Don't go around joining this duel, Yugi. See this as an example!"
Not noticing the three men that watched from a distance, the duel began. Throughout this duel, you felt extremely weird. You couldn't properly explain it; it was as though you were on that man's side. It was like you were dueling yourself but you had no idea why. You never felt like this in any of the duels you've experienced, what makes this duel so different? The man laughs as he does his turn and smirks at you,
"This is only the beginning of your nightmare." He smirked,
"How's that?" You asked, realizing your life points were higher than his.
"Ready? This card holds more power than the Three Egyptian God cards themselves." The man continued,
"...What kind of card is that?" You nervously asked,
"And it is old as time itself," The man pulled out a card and revealed it to you. The moment he showed you, you felt like you wanted to vomit and pass out right then and there. You recognized the green markings, you've always remembered it. But it being a card? Against you? That's something you never imagined would happen EVER in your life.
"The Seal of Orichalcos!" The man confirmed your innermost nightmares with a smirk, "The magic-infused within this card existed long before Ancient Egyptian traditions, Pharaoh!" He chanted as he placed the card in his duel disk, "Now with this power, you shall see my wrath!"
His duel disk flared up in response and casted the Seal's markings around the battlefield. You stared in pure horror as nausea crept up as it slowly hit you what's happening.
This is one of Dartz' men.
It's happening. It's actually happening.
"(Y/N)!" Yami gasped as he tried running in but was cast away.
"The Seal prevents anyone from joining this battle henceforth, hehe...when this duel is over, only the victor may penetrate the border. The loser is stuck in the Seal, as it takes your soul; which you'll see once I obliterate you!" The man gave an evil smile as he explained with the Seal of Orichalcos on his head. You stared at him in only pure shock. Your legs trembled, you wanted to leave. This is something that shouldn't even exist, what is the Seal of Orichalcos doing in a trading card?
"Not only that, but as the Seal is on my side, it amps up all my monsters in the field!" The man laughed as all his monsters boosted up majorly in attack points. Your whole body shook, your back now screaming in agony.
You truly had no words for this.
"Ah, I see you've already lost hope!" The man chirped with glee,
One of the men, a blonde man with sideburns shook his head in disappointment, "...he only sealed his own fate." He mumbled as he watched the battle.
"(y/n)!" Yami hissed as he tried once more to go in,
"Oh quiet, Pharaoh!" The guy hissed, "Trying to join in a battle that's mine, to begin with! It's my duel, not yours! Your precious princess' life has long been sealed!"
"(y/n)! Concentrate on the duel! Win!" Yami cried out, "Don't lose no matter the situation!"
....easier said than done. You trembled, feeling your eye act up even more as the irritation returned once more. What makes it worse is that irritation made it harder for you to concentrate.
You really felt like shit; irritated, frustrated, confused, stressed, scared. You're basically embodying all the negative emotions the Seal thrives off of. Even mentioning it, you began to question what side the Seal really is on. You're the vessel yet you're dueling it? It makes no sense. No matter how many possible conclusions came, you could never find a concrete one; and it's because of that extreme wonder is that made you lose the duel. You watched in pure horror as the overwhelmingly powerful monsters - even the Egyptian Gods - literally beat you up to a pulp. You stared at your life points as your hearing became fuzzy. You couldn't hear much out of what's happening except the Seal. You saw the Seal slowly avert to your direction as the man cheered,
"NOW WATCH, PHARAOH! WATCH ME TAKE HER SOUL!" The man cheered with a giant evil grin.
Another man who quietly watched with big brown hair shook his head with a smirk, "Did we ever tell him?"
The blonde with sideburns shrugged, "I'm sure we told him there's a vessel, but we probably didn't say who. Otherwise, he wouldn't be dueling her like this. Although I have no idea how he managed to come across it in the first place."
Another man with red hair with a long bowl cut chuckled, "No clue, honestly feel kinda bad for him for what's to come. No way the Seal's gonna take the soul of its vessel." He said as he watched the Seal solely surround you.
You stared at it, now feeling your blood pound, especially your own eye. The man's laugh kept going until he realized the Seal propelled away within seconds of being around you. The man stopped and stared at you in confusion,
"...what's going on?" The man asked, "...I won the duel? How are you still alive?"
You felt so much pain in your eye, it was like you were fighting yourself as the irritation only grew. It grew to a point where you couldn't even wear the glasses anymore, as it held you back from holding your eye. You threw the glasses aside and grabbed your eye that poured blood. Your whole body shuddered as the back of your shirt ripped open due to feeling an extensive amount of negative energy being flown through your body.
take him....take him....take him away..
Take what belongs to you.
You removed your hand from your eye and stared down at him, now only seeing his soul that's within. Feeling quite familiar with what to do, you rose your bloody finger and pointed at him.
"W...Wait a minute..." The man turned pale and took a few steps back, "....Y...You mean to tell me I dueled the VESSEL of the Seal of Orichalcos?!" He screamed as pure terror seized him. He, along with everyone else in the area, watched as the Seal responded to your silent command and averted to the man. He let out a trembling gasp and stared at you,
"PLEASE! I BEG YOUR MERCY OH VESSEL OF THE ORICHALCOS! I MEANT NO HARM IN THIS DUEL FOR I DIDN'T MEAN TO TREAT YOU AS I DID!" The man began to plead as the Seal surrounded him, "PLEASE, NOT MY SOUL! IT WAS DARTZ WHO SENT ME HERE! DARTZ SENT ME HERE UPON HIS WILL, NOT MINE! SO PLEASE, PLEASE GIVE ME MERCY AND DON'T EAT MY SOUL-" The man screamed as he went on his knees and watched as the Seal sent its great light surrounding him as a green barrier flew over him. Right before the execution happened, the man yanked the Egyptian God cards from his hand and flew it up to the three men watching him. With the blonde taking it silently, he dipped his head down as though giving condolence, and the man let out a scream of horror as a giant green mass whisked over him in the form of a dragon. Staring him down, the Seal opened its mouth wide and purged inside the man. The man began to choke as he grabbed his heart and throat as though his life depended on it before a giant chomp was heard across the battlefield. The man stopped struggling and was limp with his eyes rolled back, losing all life possible as the Seal vanished seconds after. The man automatically fell to the floor, now no longer alive.
You stared at the man as the battlefield grew deathly quiet. You killed yet another man to the Seal. And before you knew it, you soon lost consciousness and fell to the floor.
Everyone around the battlefield except the three men stared in pure disbelief and shock, but this didn't stop Yami from bolting over to you.
"(Y/N)!" Yami cried out as he tried reaching you but was soon stopped by an excessive amount of air force. Tea ran over to Yami and held him back as a helicopter sprung into view. The blonde with sideburns narrowed his eyes,
"And just as I thought we can double-package a gift to Dartz tonight." He grumbled,
"I thought he was being distracted by Dartz, how did he even come here?" The puffy brown-haired man frowned,
"Nathaniel has his ways, I mean, he has a big company after all." The red bowl-cut shrugged, "Almost as big as Dartz."
"Not for long." The blonde took out two cards and removed the contents from inside and took off. The other two men shook their heads at the blonde but followed him nonetheless.
Meanwhile, the helicopter slowly descended between you and everyone else as a man dressed in black hopped out and landed in front of you. From the gang's perspective, it seemed to be around a middle-aged man. He slowly glanced over at Yami and the gang, his brown eyes narrowing at Yami before he carefully picked you up from the ground and put you inside the helicopter. Yami wriggled himself away from Tea and immediately bolted to the helicopter with Joey and Tristan following.
"GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE AND GIVE US (Y/N)!" Joey screamed as a bunch of men hopped out and pushed Joey and Tristan back. Yami couldn't go further than Joey and Tristan as Tea grabbed him once more,
"Pharaoh, no!" Tea shook her head, "You'll get hurt!"
Joey manages to break through security while Tristan runs to the helicopter to find any brand name so they could run to base but found nothing. Joey, on the other hand, managed to jump in but the man who took you kicked him off the plane with a hard kick. Joey coughed and landed on his back as the men quickly gathered and guarded the entrance as the man whipped out bandages. Seconds later, the helicopter quickly took off as the entrance doors closed.
It was just like that, you were gone from view.
Yami's whole body trembled as he yanked Tea off him. He turned and glared at her,
"Tea. What was that for." He hissed,
"Wh-" Taken aback by Yami's action, Tea stared at him, "...You were going to get-"
"You think I care? (Y/n) just got kidnapped." Yami seethed, pure anger rising up to his chest, "you think I am going to sit idly by and let that happen!? NO. NO I'M NOT, TEA."
"Ph-Pharaoh..." Tea gasped, Yami never talked to her like that before. Yami's fists clenched as he glared daggers at her,
"DON'T 'Pharaoh' ME, TEA. I don't know what's wrong with you and I don't know why you hate her so much, but that doesn't mean you let things go by when her protection is in danger." He seethed, "So do us - no, ME- a favor AND GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER."
Everyone was paralyzed in pure fear once Yami's rage boomed through their bodies. Seconds later, Yugi took over and stared at everyone with the same amount of shock.
"...Wh-What did I even do?!" Tea's fists clenched, "You think I wanted her to get kidnapped? You think I wanted her to-"
"Tea." Yugi bit his lip and looked down, "...Stop. Just stop. I'll talk to him, so just don't. You may make it worse."
Tea started tearing up and stormed out of the roof. Tristan immediately followed Tea and Joey bit his lip and walked over to Yugi, placing his hand on Yugi's shoulder.
"Yug'," Joey's eyes narrowed,
"Yami just needs...some time alone." Yugi looked down and realized his whole body was shaking, "..I'll talk to him later on. Not now."
"....Can you feel what he's feeling?" Joey asked, "Cause I do and he's not even in my body."
"...Yeah..." Yugi nodded,
"And you understand why, right?" Joey asked with an eyebrow raised, "...Duke brought a good point, Yug'."
"...I know." Yugi nodded one more and walked with Joey.
Later that night, Yugi figured it was enough time to swing by Yami's soul room and check on him. The door was a lot harder to open compared to previous times and he peeked in,
"...Yami?" Yugi called out to hear nothing but his echo. The darkness in the soul room was more intense and damp; more than Yugi had ever felt in Yami's soul room. Not to mention the maze looks more...twisted and dark. It was clearly obvious that Yami was severely affected by recent events.
"...Yami? Where are-"
CRASH
Yugi jolted in response to a giant crash in one of the rooms. Now concerned, Yugi immediately ran up the stairs and towards the source - which didn't take long as the crashing sounds became more often and clear the closer Yugi was. He found himself standing over one of the rooms with the door wide open; which caught Yugi's attention as most of the room's doors are closed. Yugi took a slow peek into the room to find Yami breaking the stones that were in the room, a loud booming sound that sprung from it echoed through the whole room. Yami took ragged breaths as he kept destroying literally anything standing in that room as Yugi slowly approached him.
"...Yami-" Yugi felt horrible for him, he completely understood why. Yugi grabbed Yami's hands and pulled him away from the destruction. "...take...take deep breaths with me, okay? This isn't the right way." He shook his head and sat down. Yugi carefully at Yami down and stared at the crimson eyes that blankly stared at the floor. He never saw Yami look this distraught; this confused and upset.
"...Come on, take them with me." Yugi caressed Yami's hands and started taking deep breaths for Yami to follow; which weren't really successful at all as Yami just stared at the floor.
"...she was right there, Yugi." Yami whispered softly, as tears formed in his eyes, "...she was right there yet I never reached her when she needed me most." His whole body began to tremble.
Yugi's heart broke as he scooted closer and gave him a hug. He knew there were a lot of questions that needed answering, but that needed to be held for later.
The only thing Yugi could do at the moment is comforting him the best he can.
