========================================

Yugi stretched as he strolled down the streets over where Joey, Tea, and Tristan decided to meet up. He took a deep breath and blankly watched the sidewalk.

He didn't have much sleep. His body slept but not his mind. Throughout most of the night, he was with Yami, trying to keep his mind off things. Yugi did so by taking Yami to his soul room and played puzzles and other games such as pictionary or word search.

Yugi couldn't hold back a yawn as he looked ahead to find Tea waiting for him at the designated spot. Narrowing his eyes, Yugi silently approached Tea and tapped her shoulder. Tea turned around,

"Ah, Yugi!" Tea's eyes lit as she greeted her friend.

"Hey, Tea." Yugi greeted,

"...How's the Pharaoh?" Tea asked and watched Yugi's gaze avert to the ground briefly before he gave a small closed-eye smile,

"He's....he's resting." Yugi answered, "He's just...confused and upset. That's all."

"I mean, we all are." Tea nodded, "I didn't know (y/n) could do such a thing and lie about something like this."

Yugi felt a nerve twitch but not on his behalf.

"I thought about it after I went back home, Yugi." Tea narrowed her eyes, "...I was right that something wasn't right about her, but I didn't imagine it'd be about this."

"Tea." Yugi felt irritated, "...I think we shouldn't mention (y/n). At least not around me."

This is because whenever Tea mentions your name, Yugi felt Yami glaring at her through his soul room.

"I mean, come on Yugi. Let's be honest here-"

"I know." Yugi nodded, "I know. But I'd rather you not talk about (y/n) like that-"

"Hey Yug'!" Joey called as he walked with Tristan carrying two familiar faces; Rex and Weevil, "Guess who we found."

"Their souls are back!" Yugi gasped as he walked over to Joey and Tristan,

"Yup." Tristan nodded,

"Rex? Weevil?" Yugi approached them, "Do you guys remember anything that happened yesterday?"

"I woke up and went to the bathroom," Rex growled,

"Then we bumped into some big guy who wanted to duel us." Weevil continued

"Yeah and he squashed Weevil like a bug-" Rex got whacked in the head by Weevil,

"I would've won if it weren't for that guy pulling some weird green card." Weevil snarled in reply,

"The Seal of Oricalcos." Yugi narrowed his eyes,

"Yeah! That's the one." Weevil nodded,

"I thought it was those fake cards." Rex sighed,

"Did he mention any plan to take the Egyptian God Cards, did he?" Yugi asked,

"They're gone?" Rex gasped,

"Yeah, he took them." Yugi nodded, "...Did he also mention anything like a Vessel?"

"A vessel?" Weevil tilted his head, "No."

"Hm.." Yugi frowned, now disappointed. He figured he could get something out of those two about you.

"If ya see any suspicious bike riders though, let us know." Joey narrowed his eyes, "Thanks for the weak info."

"Hey!" Weevil snarled as Yugi sighed and walked with Joey; who was soon followed by everyone else,

"Ugh, so much is happening. First the museum, then monsters appearing everywhere, and now some bikers roaming around stealing souls with a duel monsters card." Tristan groaned,

"They all connect." Tea nodded her head, "And it circulates around (y/n). After all, that guy screamed she was the vessel of it."

Yugi flinched, "But there are things that don't add up,"

"What do you mean?" Tea frowned, "The guy called her the-"

"I know, I know." Yugi rolled his eyes at Tea, "But what I mean is this. The bikers are sealing souls, right?"

"Well, yeah." Tristan nodded,

"But when the guy fought (y/n), I'm pretty sure the guy's soul was more than just sealed. We all heard a big chomp, right?"

Tea shuddered, "Yeah..."

"I don't think that's how sealing works. I feel there's still more to the Seal than we think." Yugi continued, "We just need to find the right infor-"

"Yugi! I've been looking all over for you!" A female voice joyfully cried out. Yugi blinked and looked ahead to find a short girl with long blonde hair who ran and hugged him tightly.

"Uh...hi?" Yugi awkwardly greeted,

"Oh, don't tell me you forgot about me!" The girl gasped, and looked at him with a smile on her face, "Here, does this card ring a bell?" She pulled out a card that caught Yugi's eye. It soon clicked on who she was and he gasped,

"Rebecca!" Yugi's eyes lit up once he recognized her,

"You look different." Joey mumbled, "Did you cut your hair?"

"No, she traded her teddy bear for new glasses." Tristan huffed as Rebecca wrapped her arm around Yugi's arm,

"I don't need a teddy bear when I got a boyfriend right here who'll protect me~"

"Excuse me? A boyfriend?" Tea grumbled,

"And here's another weird event." Joey rolled his eyes,

"Anyway, my grandpa wants to see you!" Rebecca turned to Yugi with a wink,

"Professor Hawkins? For what?" Yugi asked,

"He wants to talk to you about the recent events that occurred here, as he found a huge discovery!" Rebecca tugged Yugi, "Let's go!"

Yugi let her drag him over to the Ancient Egyptian museum, followed by Joey, Tristan, and Tea (although Tea was glaring at Rebecca the whole time). When they arrived, they saw Professor Hawkins with Yugi's grandfather, Solomon Motou, standing before the giant stone that was earlier turned to ice.

"Ah, Yugi, there you are. I need to tell you something." Professor Hawkins greeted with a smile, "I have returned from my recent expedition to give news about events that could correlate to what's been going on, and I think it relates to you as you have an Ancient Pharaoh living inside you."

"Oh?" Yugi perked up, "Do tell."

"Have you ever heard about the lost city of Atlantis?" Mr. Hawkins asked,

"I read a great book about that once!" Tea smiled brightly,

"Yes, I found that lost city in my last expedition and found stone artifacts of those monsters. I feel the ancient tradition of these monsters has been around longer than five thousand years ago." The doctor nodded, "Which I feel strengthens my theory that there is a parallel world filled with monsters alike, with some people possessing the power to create and release these monsters for good, but some are for evil." Mr. Hawkins concluded, "And with that evil, I feel that's where you come in. It could be that your duty is to prevent this evil, as I fear it's the evil side that's using these duel monsters upon us as we speak."

"I don't believe you." Tristan rolled his eyes,

"I do." Joey nodded, "I've encountered some strange things, like how there's a Pharaoh in Yugi's puzzle and how there's some giant seal in (y/n)."

"Giant Seal?" Mr. Hawkins perked up, "What do you mean by that?"

"Yeah, there was a green stone that had some duel monsters card known as the Seal of Orichalcos."

"Green stone?" Dr. Hawkins seemed excited, "My my, I think you've found a connection to my expedition with Atlantis! Do you have this stone?"

"No...it wasn't on the body. I think whatever destroyed that guy took the stone in the process." Joey shook his head, "I checked the body before I left and found nothing."

"What does that have to do with Atlantis?" Solomon asked,

"It correlates to a statue that shined a green light. I think this Orichalcos thing you've mentioned is far more connected to my research than any of us anticipated. I shall look more into that in my lab and I'll get back to you then." Professor Hawkins smiled at Yugi,

"It's getting late, so we gotta go!" Rebecca looked sad as she wrapped her arm around Yugi, "But I will definitely see you soon, honey!"

Yugi simply shrugged as everyone walked out of the museum and towards a taxi where Rebecca, Professor Hawkins, and Solomon sat in.

"I'll take them to the airport." Solomon winked and left with them in the taxi.

"...Hey Yug'. I forgot to ask," Joey turned to Yugi, "...how's the Pharaoh?"

"He's..." Yugi paused, "...He's doing better. I'll check with him again tonight."

Yugi figured it'd be best if he didn't tell everyone about Yami's breakdown, especially in front of Tea because he didn't want to hear any form of justification. In short, he just can't really stand her at the moment.

Later that night, Yugi was in his bed wide awake. He couldn't sleep at all from what he had both witnessed and heard.

"Can't sleep?" He heard Yami ask. Yugi sat up and looked at Yami, who was sitting on the side of the bed,

"No....it's a lot to digest." Yugi shook his head, "...Too much in a short time." He mumbled as Yami nodded and crossed his arms.

"Yugi, I am concerned for (y/n)." Yami clenched his crossed arms, "If what I'm thinking is correct, then there is more potential danger to her."

"What do you mean?" Yugi asked,

"First off, this Seal of Orichalcos. We know for sure that (y/n) is the vessel. That is what we found with the duel." Yami stared at the ground, "However, with Dr. Hawkins clarifying that it's possible this Oricahalcos has been around since Atlantis, along with the recent monsters roaming around...."

"You think they're connected." Yugi narrowed his eyes and watched Yami nod,

"Yes. I don't think these events have anything to do with the Millenium Puzzle or me. Dueling with real monsters has been around longer than my time, and so has the Seal. I have a feeling it's the Orichaclos that's the cause of all this chaos, but there's something that's missing." Yami's fingers tapped in thought,

"The ringleader?" Yugi asked,

"Exactly. And we're also missing more information about the Orichalcos. Professor Hawkins didn't even clear on that." Yami nodded, "I feel if we get those answers, then we'll have a more clear understanding than what we have now."

"...Yami," Yugi clenched the sheets, "...I miss her."

Yami silently averted his gaze over to Yugi as the boy bit his lip, "I...I mean...I want to see her again. Not solely because of this whole thing that transpired, but...she looked so hurt, so scared when that guy pulled the Seal of Orichalcos. I mean...I would too if you think about it....it's like I am dueling you when you should be inside my puzzle." Yugi continued,

"...Yugi, I miss her too." Yami's eyes narrowed, "...You have no idea."

"And with all this happening, she must be so overwhelmed." Yugi bit his lip, "...I want to help, I really do, but I don't know how. A-And with those hooded guys snatching her away, what if they're connected to the ringleader? A-And-" Yugi was interrupted when Yami scooted closer and gently held Yugi's shoulders.

"We'll figure things out as we go. Let's not think like that for it'll further mess with you. Get some rest." Yami advised. Yugi nodded and laid back down as Yami let go of Yugi and soon stared at the ground.

Oh yeah, if anyone was just as paranoid, it was Yami. He had no idea where you are, not to mention who took you in the first place. Yugi isn't the only one worrying if the ringleader was the one who took you. Yami narrowed his eyes, there was so much to ask you, so much to do with you. He always had the hunch you were special, but to find out like this rather to your comfort? Not exactly what he had hoped for. Deciding it was best to think more in his soul room, Yami went back inside the puzzle to leave Yugi to sleep and to give more time for himself.

"And not to mention Tea is a problem now." Yami growled to himself as he put his hands in his pockets, "Just great. Because for some majestic reason, Tea thinks that everything she has done to (y/n) is perfectly okay. And she's rubbing it in everyone's face, like that's of any good help that she claims she's giving." Yami shot a glare at one of the doors and kicked it wide open out of anger. "Sure." He growled, his crimson eyes glaring daggers at the darkness ahead. He leaned against the wall and slithered down to the floor as he took a huge breath with his eyes up at the endless ceiling.

"...I miss her." He mumbled, "...I should've kissed her before I left our date - no, before any of this happened."

Not even seconds later, he felt something was off with his room. Rising to his feet, he looked around the room with his eyes narrowed,

"...is anyone there?" He asked,

"....Pharaoh!" He heard a cry out to him. "...Pharaoh we need you!"

His eyes darted around before feeling a prescense behind. He turned around and made eyecontact with Yugi,

"...Yami-" Yugi looked worried,

"Someone needs our help." Yami narrowed his eyes,

"Yeah, but where are they?" Yugi asked,

"Please! We need you! Help us!" The voice echoed through the room as Yami turned to a direction,

"I believe they're this way." Yami started heading over a direction and was followed by Yugi. Yami ran towards a door and opened it to find no source,

"...help!" The voice rang,

"...whoever this may be could be anywhere in this room." Yami mumbled,

"What should we do?" Yugi asked,

"...Split up." Yami turned and soon ran in one direction. Yugi went another and both began opening doors in hopes to find whoever is crying out. Yami kept opening doors and walking down hallways, it almost reminded him how he was when he first winded up in this soul room. More confusion and concern went through his head as he started panicking and kept opening doors to a point where he opened one and saw Yugi. Yugi looked at Yami with concern,

"How are we supposed to find this person when there's so many doors?" Yugi asked. Yami was silent, he just stared at Yugi with the same amount of concern until both of them heard a familiar noise. Perking up, the boys turned to find Kuriboh hopping.

"Kuriboh? What's it doing here?" Yugi asked as Yami watched the Kuriboh jump up and down with concern.

"...I think it wants us to follow." Yami's eyes narrowed as he approached the Kuriboh. Watching the purple eyes light up, the Kuriboh proceeded to hop in a certain direction. Without hesitation, Yugi and Yami immediately followed the Kuriboh into a door that lead to a pure white room with pillars.

"...What the...have you been in here before?" Yugi asked,

"No." Yami's eyes narrowed as he held Yugi's arm, "..stay close."

"Follow me, Pharaoh! Follow my voice!" The same voice cried as the shadows of a familiar duel monster was seen running across the room with the Kuriboh following it. Yami and Yugi immediately ran with the Kuriboh and soon lost balance as the voice and the little monster lead them to a Shadow-like abyss. Giving a yelp, both boys fell into this abyss and soon found themselves floating over a kingdom.

"Where are we?" Yugi asked,

"Some kind of kingdom." Yami narrowed his eyes as he looked over this peaceful world, then averted his gaze up ahead, "....and we're not alone." He mumbled as a growl from the distance was heard. Yugi's gaze followed Yami's as both boys made eyecontact with a black mass that had a giant yellow eye piercing them. This mass was huge and it seemed to be eating different types of monsters.

"...that's not good." Yugi mumbled as both he and Yami were sent inside the castle over three frozen dragons. The moment they landed, Yami and Yugi turned to finally see the possible source of the voice.

"...it's the Dark Magician Girl!" Yugi gasped as he watched her nod with a sad smile,

"I'm sorry I had to bring you guys over here like this, but we need your help." The Dark Magician Girl greeted,

"What's wrong?" Yami asked,

"Pharaoh, both of our worlds are in danger." The Dark Magician Girl started, "if nothing is done, we may cease to exist. For a long time, our world, the Domain of Monsters, has lived a long time and had lived side-by-side with the human world. We depend on one another in order to survive. However, for a very long time we have been harrassed once every five thousand years by a dangerous beast known as the Great Leviathan. This great beast forces a gateway open and swallowed over thousands of monsters."

"Oh no!" Yugi gasped,

"For that, there needed to be balance between this monster and the Domain of Monsters. And the only one who is capable enough to keep that balance is the Vessel." The Dark Magician Girl bit her lip and looked at the ground. Yami perked up,

"Vessel? Do you refer to the Vessel of the Orichalcos?" Yami asked and watched the magician flinch. She looked up and nodded,

"Yes, the Vessel of the Orichalcos, (y/n)." She nodded,

"But how?" Yugi asked, "You mean there's more to the Orichalcos?"

"Indeed. It may not look like it, but the Vessel has more than just bearing the Orichalcos." The Dark Magician Girl started, "She is responsible for keeping this world and your own stable from possible erasure."

"What?!" Yugi gasped,

"She holds the beast at bay by giving closure and protection. By sacrificing her normal life, she is forced to dwell and give souls in return for proper protection."

"Give souls?" Yami widened his eyes, "So the soul of that man isn't sealed..."

"If he faced the Vessel himself, then his soul has long been fed to the beast." The Dark Magician Girl nodded, "The Seal of Orichalcos is what keeps the Great Leviathan in, and the Vessel is to keep it that way for peace and harmony. And she did her duty perfectly, as both worlds were protected for over five thousand years."

"...this is too complex.." Yugi felt a mini migraine coming, "So let me get this straight. (Y/N) is the vessel of the Orichalcos, and her job is to protect this world and ours from potential erasure, from a beast that's currently eating away monsters?" He watched the Dark Magician Girl nod, "Then if she did such a good job, then why is it attacking like this now?"

A sad look on her face showed as she spoke, "The Great Leviathan wouldn't be as it is if it weren't for the robbery."

"The robbery?" Yami looked at the Dark Magician Girl, "What do you mean?"

"Five thousand years ago, there was a great robbery in Egypt, and someone broke in and completely destroyed the rightful Vessel of the Orichalcos," The Dark Magician Girl answered, "The thief ripped apart most of the stone from her back and escaped before getting arrested."

Yugi turned pale, "That's...that's horrible!"

"How did they do it?" Yami asked,

"They heavily drugged the Vessel's drink and used a flaying knife to dig into the Vessel's back and tore at least ninety percent of the original stone from her." She explained, "They couldn't get all of it because you, the Pharaoh, caught them in the act."

Yugi covered his mouth in pure horror, he had no idea things turned out like that, "...But why were they so intent on taking the Seal like that?!"

The Dark Magician Girl took a seat on a stone, "....Well, it all started with Atlantis."

Yami sat in front of the Dark Magician Girl, now no longer interested in anything else. Yugi sat next to him and leaned forward, eagerly listening,

"It is said that ten thousand years ago, Atlantis was greeted with the stones of the Orichalcos and was able to greatly evolve and become the city as in legends. However, there was a giant cost to it," She narrated with narrowed eyes, "The Orichalcos promised Atlantis' great future if it's given the proper vessel as prophecies told, however, Atlantis gave the wrong person. In return, the Orichaclos gave great chaos and tore down Atlantis to its core."

"I see..." Yugi gasped, "So then the Seal went to-"

"Yes, five thousand years later, the Orichalcos went to another spot to find a vessel and soon encountered a woman it found to be the Vessel. Pharaoh, Yugi, you both need to find her and find her fast." The Dark Magician pleaded, "Only she is capable to sever this gateway and ensure proper balance in my world."

"But she isn't even here!" Yugi gasped, "Some group of men took her from us!"

"We need some form of guide." Yami clenched his fists, "Do you know any?"

"I do." The Dark Magician nodded and got up, "There are three dragons who were created by the Vessel herself as guardians in this world from any potential threats the Seal might give."

Yami's eyebrow quirked when he heard that,

"You must take one of them, as they are assigned as each dragon resembles warriors the Vessel has personally encountered and entrusted with." The Dark Magician Girl explained, "Once all three have been awakened, they will all join together and help guide you to the Vessel, where she'll be able to make advancements to stop this."

Yami and Yugi levitated over to one of the dragons and both grasped onto the sword that held the dragon in the frozen position. Both nodding, they yanked the sword off and the ice began to melt. The dragon let out a roar once awakened and stared down at Yami and Yugi,

"One of the guardians, Timaeus." The Dark Magician narrowed her eyes, "Pharaoh, this dragon was created for you. Please use him to temporarily fend off the beast!"

A bright light blinded the two boys, and Yugi jolted awake to a roar that came from outside.

~As you know, this season's main focus will be you. To do that, things MUST be changed in the original season. With respect to the show, I will keep some details, but those will be changed to make this season more intense.

So no, friendship won't stop this Seal. (Of course, as it's the main theme of the show, it will have correlations with this season overall)

No, no embracing negative emotions will stop it.
