===================================

Yugi bolted outside and stared up at the bright light in the sky,

"The monsters are trapped, Yugi." Solomon told him,

"Yeah....I figured." Yugi nervously whipped out his duel disk and ran to discover Tea, Tristan, and Joey.

"Okay so I'm not blind?" Joey mumbled,

"No, you're not." Yugi whipped his head and stared at the giant yellow eye - the same one that stared him down when he was in the Domain of Monsters. He bit his lip as he stared at the eye, already knowing what it is and what he should do.

'The question is.....do I have authority on this beast?' Yugi thought to himself as he took a shaky breath before clenching his fists and glaring at the eye.

"....Great Leviathan!" Yugi called out as the eye jolted in Yugi's direction.

"Uh...Yugi..." Tristan gulped,

"Yugi! What are you doing?!" Tea gasped,

Yugi gulped but refused to leave, "....You've been around harassing these monsters for as long as time, and you think because (y/n) isn't complete it gives you the opportunity to wipe them out!" He yelled as the eye slightly widened, "B...But just because she isn't here to stop you, doesn't mean I can't!" He whipped out the newest addition to Yugi's deck, "TIMAEUS, PROTECT US FROM THE GREAT LEVIATHAN!" He shouted in command and his card let out a teal light. Before Yugi knew it, one of the guardians rose from Yugi's card and immediately sprinted to action. The dragon bolted forward like blue lightning and struck the eye through. Moments later, a green light forged the symbol of the Orichalcos,

"...The Seal of Orichalcos..." Yugi gasped as the dragon pressed forward and broke through the Seal, purging the beast where it belongs.

"....AW YEAH!" Joey cheered, "THAT WAS AWESOME!"

"HOLY SHIT!" Tristan had a huge smile, "GOOD JOB, YUG'!"

Yugi nervously laughed, "Aha...thanks guys.." He smiled at them before he realized his surroundings started to change. His friends surrounding him had a black shadow cloak over them and soon enough, all of Yugi's friends disappeared from his view; his environment now turned to pitch black and ominous. Yugi tensed up at this sudden darkness, and turned around to see Yami next to him,

"Y-Yami?" Yugi squeaked, ".....Wh...What's going on? Where are we?"

"I don't know...but for starters, we aren't in our Soul Room...." Yami shook his head, "I knew it......right as the Great Leviathan made eye contact, it felt like it was staring at us for a reason"

"What do you mean?" Yugi trembled,

"Right as you mentioned (y/n), I noticed a shift in energy from the beast." Yami explained, "...I don't know how to explain it, but-"

"Precious Yugi Mutou..." a deep disoriented voice boomed from the darkness. Yami and Yugi tensed up and tried to find the source of this voice to find nothing at first.

"...And the Great Nameless Ancient Pharaoh of Egypt...." If whatever is talking was a physical appearance, Yami and Yugi would've seen a smirk.

"Y...Yami-"

"Yugi, stay behind me." Yami immediately walked in front of Yugi and covered him from the back.

"This is the first time we're talking....you were staring at me earlier but never talked. How rude of you."

"Wh...What do you-" Yugi stuttered,

"I figured we should briefly talk, as this may be the only time we can."

Yami and Yugi felt a dark force press together, as the darkness was soon lit by a very familiar yellow slit staring down on the two. Except it was no longer one eye, it was two.

"...T-The Great Leviathan!" Yugi gasped, his skin turned pale once he realized. Right as the pair of eyes appeared, the ground beneath Yami and Yugi began to forge the Seal of Orichaclos,

"I give congrats for stopping me earlier. Timeaus doesn't respond to anyone other than my vessel." The slits narrowed and Yami's eyes narrowed. "It's no wonder she made Timaeus after you."

"Do you know where she is?" Yami boldly asked,

"Of course I do. She is one with me, as I am with her."

"Is-Is she with whoever is doing all this?" Yugi asked,

"No." It scowled,

"Then where is she?" Yami asked,

"Hiding from Dartz."

"Dartz?" Yugi perked up, "Who is Dartz?"

"The rude King that is giving me all these souls to take. The one that I disregarded ten thousand years ago."

"...So the mastermind?" Yugi gripped Yami's shoulder,

"Then tell us where she is, so she can help you." Yami figured it'd be a good idea to try and lure the beast into telling him where you are. Or, the very least, give him hints or some direction to go to, "The people who-"

"You act I'm mindless, Nameless Pharaoh." It's slit averted to Yami, "You think I do not know what happened to my vessel? My power far exceeds yours, I have been since the first days of time. I always know what happens with my vessel. He is not of this area you're in. If you're so desperate for her affection, head to the place she left before coming here."

"And I assume you won't tell us." Yami sneered, "I figured you'd help in order to end this."

"You're lucky I am giving you something. This battle is not yours and never will be Nameless Pharaoh. You're just lucky of your relations with my vessel."

Yugi's eyebrows furrowed, what does it mean by relations?

"I would love to confuse the both of you more, but it appears my time with you is at its end. Precious Yugi Motou, we will meet again." The slit averted to the boy behind Yami, shifting as though it were giving him an evil smirk.

"Wh...What's that supposed to-" Yugi mumbled before the darkness surrounding them started to quickly avert in the eye's direction. Feeling pressure from all around, Yami turned around and protectively wrapped his arms around Yugi. The Seal shined up and within moments, Yugi's vision was black. Forcing himself awake, he awoke to a blurry sight but filled with familiar faces,

"Yugi...are you alright?" Tristan's voice was muffled as Yugi grasped reality. Gasping for air he realized he didn't have it, Yugi lunged forward and coughed with his whole body shaking.

Although brief, Yugi had now realized what kind of force you had been dealing with. And it was terrifying. Yugi would rather duel Marik all over again over a million times than spend a day dealing with the Great Leviathan.

"Yugi!" Tea gasped, "Take deep breaths, you'll be okay!"

"Guys..." Yugi huffed, "...I saw it.."

"Saw what?" Tristan asked,

"The-The Great Leviathan! It....It....It spoke to me and Yami!" Yugi gasped,

"It did what?" Joey blinked in shock,

"Th-The eye that we saw earlier....was apart of the Great Leviathan...and...and it spoke to us!" Yugi's legs wobbled as he got up with Joey's aide,

"Now hold on...ya mean to tell me this beast can talk?" Joey chuckled nervously, "Yug'....are you hyperventilating or somethin'?"

"No! I-It even...kinda...told us more information...." Yugi shook his head,

"What do you mean 'kinda'?" Tristan asked,

"...It said it like some type of riddle..like it were in some game. It wasn't going to even tell us in the first place, but it did because of our relations with (y/n)."

Tea frowned, "....okay? And how useful was it-"

"Very." Yugi shot a glare at Tea, "It even told us who is responsible for this."

"It did? Who?" Tristan gasped,

"Dartz. The Great Leviathan called him someone it 'disregarded ten thousand years ago'....which...now that I think about it..." Yugi's eyes widened,

"...It connects back to Atlantis, Yugi." Yami spoke from the puzzle, ".....He's the one that was offered as the Vessel ten thousand years ago, just as the Dark Magician Girl said."

".....Ya know what guys, we gotta talk about (y/n) for a second." Joey's eyes narrowed and caught Yugi's attention,

"Have you seen her?" Tristan asked,

"No, I haven't, but I feel I should explain something." Joey clenched his fists, "remember when I was in a coma back at the Battle City tournament?"

"Well, yeah." Tea nodded, "But you woke up."

"I did, but not on my own." Joey looked at Tea,

"Well, yeah," Tea put her hands on her hips with eyes narrowed, "because of our friend-"

"No, not because of friendship, Tea." Joey shook his head, "It was because of (y/n)."

"What?!" Yugi gasped, "What do you mean by that, Joey?"

"I thought it was a dream at first, but when I was stuck in the Shadow Realm, I saw this weird green light and out came (y/n), at least I think it was..." Joey recalled, "I don't know, but she was wearing this white ancient clothing, and I did see this weird symbol behind her which I thought was a fever-dream but it was-"

"The Seal of Orichalcos?" Tristan asked and watched Joey nod,

"Yup. I recognized that symbol when that guy played it back at the roof yesterday." Joey nodded, "Now that I'm thinking about it, after I woke up, (y/n) was really dizzy and disoriented, so I didn't want to ask her about it cause I thought she was overwhelmed by the stress."

"But now you're thinking it wasn't." Yugi narrowed his eyes,

"Yeah....I think (y/n) used the Orichalcos or whatever to take me out of there." Joey nodded,

"But how is that possible?" Tea frowned, "The Seal of Orichalcos seals souls, not take them back to their bodies."

"That's true.." Tristan frowned, "That doesn't make sense."

"But that's Dartz, not (y/n). It's like I said earlier today, she isn't sealing souls the way whoever we're up against is doing. There is something going on here, something more complex that Yami and I discovered recently." Yugi reminded,

"What?" Tristan gasped, "What do you mean?"

"Well, for starters, Dartz seals souls, but recently we found the vessel feeds the Great Leviathan souls." Yugi started and watched his friends shudder,

"...That explains the chomp..." Tristan mumbled as he recalled what happened with the man once the Seal was redirected to him.

"The vessel feeds the beast souls so it doesn't turn and absorb the monsters in the Domain, so (y/n) holds a lot more value than simply bearing the Seal. We also learned a little bit more about where the Orichalcos came from." Yugi started, "It technically has been around in the Domain of Monsters for a long time until the right vessel was found around five thousand years ago."

"What does that have to do with what's going on now?" Tea sneered,

"Well, Tea, if you're patient, I'll tell you." Yug snarked back, "Apparently, around five thousand years ago, someone robbed the vessel of the original stone of the Orichalcos, and she wasn't capable of properly protecting the Domain from the beast that has tormented them."

"That explains how (y/n) battled the Seal of Orichalcos, cause that guy five thousand years ago robbed the vessel around that time." Joey narrowed his eyes and Yugi nodded,

"But why would they burst in and rob something like this?" Tristan asked, "What's so great about taking something that steals souls?"

"It dates back to Atlantis," Yugi answered, "As tales say, the Orichaclos appeared in Altantis seeking a proper vessel, but Atlantis gave the wrong person. Because of that, the Orichalcos destroyed Atlantis as a result...so Dartz is either believing he should've been the one or-"

"There's no 'or', Yug'." Joey shook his head, "The robbery in Ancient Egypt and the whole Atlantis thing? What you just said ties it better than any other hypothesis we could make. Dartz probably thought it was his rightful fate, and targeted whoever actually had it."

"Wait just a second, if my timeline is correct, five thousand years ago the robbery happened, right?" Tristan started calculating,

"...Yeah..." Joey nodded,

"....And you're saying ten thousand years ago, the guy was given as an offering but was seriously rejected." Tristan narrowed his eyes, "And based on what you're saying, that guy robbed the vessel five thousand years later? And you're saying that this mastermind now is a guy named Dartz, who the Great Leviathan told you that he's someone it 'disregarded ten thousand years ago'?"

"Tristan, shut up." Joey shivered, "....I know where this is going and I don't like it."

Yugi gasped, "...So the one who committed the robbery was Dartz?!"

"And the one who was offered up ten thousand years ago." Tristan nodded, his skin pale upon his discovery (that Yami partially covered).

"That means Dartz is an old hag!" Joey shuddered,

"Okay, but I think we're missing a huge question here." Tea frowned, "Why wait five thousand years? And if the Orichalcos didn't choose him, why did it comply with him in the first place? And it's still with Dartz, so why is it on his side?"

"Cause maybe it has to do with souls," Yugi answered,

"But what does this guy want with that many souls? He is clearly assaulting the Domain of Monsters." Joey frowned, "Not to mention the fact of what he's gonna want to do with this Great Leviathan, is it any different from what (y/n) is supposed to do?"

"Great, just as we got more answers, we leave with more questions." Tristan crossed his arms,

"...questions I think (y/n) has the answers to." Yugi narrowed his eyes, "We've got to find her."

"Okay? Where do we start?" Joey scrunched his face, "Cause she was taken by guys that we don't even have any leads to."

"We can ask Rebecca." Tristan lit up,

"Yami asked that to the Great Leviathan before it departed." Yugi narrowed his eyes, "It didn't tell us much, but luckily she isn't with Dartz. It said to go to where she left before coming here."

"What?" Tristan's eyebrows furrowed, "What's that supposed to mean?"

"....It means to go to her hometown." Tea responded, "Remember? She isn't from here."

Joey stared at her in shock, "...wow Tea,"

"What?" Tea averted to Joey,

"Didn't think you'd get along when it comes to (y/n)." Joey shrugged, "Cause ya hate her n' all."

"I don't know how many times I need to address this," Tea rolled her eyes, "I don't hate (y/n)."

"Uh, not to be that type of person, but with how you treat her most of the time yeah, it seems like you hate her." Tristan nodded,

"Guys." Yugi frowned, "L..Let's talk about this later. We gotta figure out where (y/n) came from."

~A Few Days Later~

It was slow, but you eventually came to your consciousness. Your vision being blurry, you slowly rose from where you lay and you rubbed your eyes. Groaning because of a headache that flew in, you forced your eyes to take a good look around.

You thought you'd be at Yugi's or literally on the floor of a roof. This does not look like any of those.

Now realizing you're not where you last remembered, panic slowly began to settle in. At the moment, you had no idea where you were until you recognized the closet that stood before you.

'....Wait a damn minute...' You blinked as you lifted yourself off the bed and walked over to the closet, "...this is my closet." You mumbled to yourself before hearing the door open. Quickly darting eyes, you stared to find a little girl appearing before you. Briefly unable to recognize her, you stared at this little girl before recognizing her (h/c) hair and her crimson eyes,

"....Nymphi?" In pure shock you called out the only possibility of the girl's identity, who eagerly smiled and ran to your arms within seconds,

"You're here!" She gasped excitedly as you instinctively wrapped your arms around her, "I missed you!"

"I..." You blinked before holding her gently, "...I missed you too...." You briefly felt your heart at ease and found your nerves begin to relax under Nymphi's grip.

"Nymphi...I hate to ask, but am I-"

"You're back home! Papa took you back." Nymphi looked at you innocently, "I heard the TV say some monsters came alive, and papa said it's with the Ori....Ori...Oria..."

"Orichalcos." You gently pronounced,

"Yeah, that!" Nymphi nodded, "Then he told me to stay here and he went on a big car in the sky and took you here! I wanted to come but Papa said no." She frowned,

"Well, I was on the other side of the world, so I would've said no if I were in papa's place." You ruffled her hair, "...where is Papa right now?"

"I dunno.." Nymphi shrugged, "I played with Cassandra until I heard you came back."

"Cassandra the secretary?" You narrowed your eyes at that. Cassandra was the secretary closest to your grandfather at "The Card's Chalice", what in the world is she doing playing with Nymphi?

"It's not like her to play around." You mumbled,

"I told her that!" Nymphi said innocently with a smile and you stared at her in shock,

"...and what did she say?" You asked,

"I figured to play around with her cause of all the mess that's been going on." A female voice answered from beside the door. Startled, you stared at the source to find a woman in a suit with wavy dark brown hair and green eyes - the woman being extremely familiar.

"...Cassandra..." You greeted,

"...(y/n)." Cassandra gave a small nod in reply before looking at Nymphi, "Nymphi, dear? I need to talk with (y/n) for a few so I need you to come with Stanley." She said as one of the male guards came forward with a gentle smile,

"But...but we just-" Nymphi frowned,

"I know, I know." Cassandra nods as she knelt down, "But right now is really stiff and difficult, like a calculus problem."

"She's four. You think she knows what calculus is?" You sneered,

"....like a math problem." Cassandra corrected herself, "Besides, Stanley didn't hear your story of the giant horse that you told me."

"You didn't!" Nymphi stared at Stanley as he shook his head. Nymphi gasped and looked at you,

"I'll be right back, I need to tell Stanley about the horse!"

"...Okay....?" You watched her run to the guard who pulled her out of the room.

"How are you feeling? You've been out for a few days." Cassandra asked once Nymphi and Stanley was out of the area.

"Confused." You answered, "...I didn't take you to be a kid-type of person."

"Just because I don't want kids doesn't mean I don't like them," Cassandra replied

"Besides, your grandfather told me to watch over her while taking care of Dartz."

You turned pale, "......What?"

"Yeah." Cassandra nods and kicks herself off the door, "Dartz is trying to buy this company."

"What?!" You were taken aback, "Why?!"

"Why do you think?" Cassandra narrowed her eyes, "He wants you."

"...Oh yeah..." You mumbled, "...cause of..." you pointed at your eye as Cassandra nodded,

"Yup. Cause of that." She affirmed, "He's desperately after you."

"How do you know it's him?" You asked,

"You tell me," Cassandra raised an eyebrow, "A random company called Paradius Inc with an ancient symbol as its icon just randomly barged in, trying to attack this company? Oh, and with this as the CEO?" Cassandra took a picture out of her breast pocket and flashed it over to you. Carefully taking the picture, you stared at the picture before feeling nauseous as the picture held a very familiar teal-haired man with two different eye colors; except he wore a purple suit, unlike his white robe you've seen a couple of times.

"...Yeah...that's Dartz.." You confirmed as your legs began to lose strength. Sitting down on the bed, you gave Cassandra the picture as she put it back in her pocket.

"Once he buys this company, then he owns everything in it, including you." Cassandra warned, "So Papa is having lots of security checks and is currently battling Dartz...financially..."

"....if I may," You looked at her, "...Can I see Papa?"

"I can manage at least a few minutes or so." Cassandra shrugged, "That's about it, really. The schedule is tight, after all."

"I'll take that." You shakily got off the bed and followed Cassandra. Going down the elevator towards the security room made you tense up, it has been quite a while since you've seen your grandfather. To reach the security room, you had to cross the headquarters - as business and home stations are two separate compartments. As a few elite security joined you and Cassandra, you walked across the busy quarters. Cassandra gave you her sunglasses for secrecy about the Seal - for, within the whole busy room, only Cassandra, your grandfather, and the elite security know of your secret. You walked by the whole area as guests left and right were waiting for their trading cards or were in the shopping center. Pretty much, on this base floor, it was the most normal one. Parents with their kids and teenagers were staring at some plaques containing the history of duel monsters or some statues representing the history of "The Card's Chalice". Of course, the customers do not outweigh the staff, as they were hard at work ensuring customers and clients have a great experience. You stared at everyone as you were escorted in a VIP access room that held another elevator. None of these people are aware of what's going on. It deeply disturbed you as you and Cassandra walked inside the elevator with the elite security waiting outside. The doors with the innocent and ignorant closed as you and Cassandra went up the floors.

"...Ignorance is bliss, (y/n)." Cassandra seemed to read your mind. You could only nod as the elevator soon blinked to the floor with security. The doors opened to pure chaos as people were quickly running around.

"...it seems Dartz made another move," Cassandra mumbled as she walked you inside over to the main security room, where it was the most crowded yet most organized room you've ever seen. The atmosphere was incredibly tense as documents of Dartz were seen everywhere, along with security breaches alerting left and right.

"....Sir? (Y/n) is here." Cassandra referred to the man sitting in the center of all of it.

A middle-aged man with slick black hair turned to you, his brown eyes locking and soon lit upon realizing it's you.

"(y/n)!" Papa gasped and ran over to give you a big hug, "You're alright!"

"Yeah..." You nodded as you returned his warm embrace,

"Thank God, when I saw you, you were such a wreck." He sighed of relief, "The moment I connected the dots, I took a helicopter and tore off the brand to prevent anyone from knowing before rushing over and grabbing you. Just as I feared, it was Dartz who set all this up between you and me, his men were watching you from afar so I knew I had to hurry."

You tilted your head in confusion before it hit you on what he meant. Earlier with the duel before you passed out when you fought that guy.

"I did it in time, but thinking back, Dartz's men weren't the only ones there. So was Yugi and his friends."

You gasped once he said that, now recognizing the fact that Yami and literally everyone else was there when it all happened.

"HOLY SHIT I FORGOT-" You gasped,

"you never told them?" Papa asked and you shook your head, "....Well...that's not a worry now...but don't worry about that-"

"Sir! Someone broke into the headquarters!" Someone screamed from across the room, "They broke into (y/n)'s room!"

There was a pause before your grandfather stared at the man in shock,

"...you're kidding me." He mumbled,

"No, seriously." The guy shook his head, "Here is the footage."

Security camera footage pulled up to the main screen, and in your room lay a female with blonde hair and brown eyes. Although her clothes were now black and purple, she was easily recognizable to you.

"...Mai...?" You tilted your head in confusion,

"How did she get there?" Papa scowled,

"Wait- Papa, it's Mai." You said, "She's my fri-"

"No friend of yours would be working for Dartz." Papa narrowed his eyes and stared at you.

"Wh....What?" You chuckled nervously, "She..She doesn't work for Dartz."

There's no way in a million years she'd work for Dartz.

"Then explain the necklace she's wearing."

Already feeling the nausea dwell once he said that, you shook your head and took a closer look at Mai's necklace. It was tiny, but there was a green stone wrapped around her neck.

"Anyone who works for Dartz has part of the stone wrapped around their necks. I've learned that the hard way." Papa sneered.

No....no no...

"Hey, Nathaniel," Mai spoke as she stared at the camera, "I know you see me, Where is (y/n)? I want her. Not only me, but my boss."

Papa pressed a button that initiated audio from the camera, "You'll be greeted by no one but my security."

She rolled her eyes, "Can't a friend talk to another?"

"Dartz's companions are no where near being (y/n)'s friends."

"I am her friend."

"Not anymore. So long as you're with Dartz, you have no association with (y/n)." Papa seethed as your door was banged open by security. Frowning, Mai glared at the camera before jumping off your window and out of sight.

You couldn't believe it. You stared at Mai in pure shock,

"...Wait....no, she's not with Dartz. I literally saw her about like...like..."

"People can change within days, (y/n)." Papa sneered, "She's working with Dartz. I know that necklace when I see one."

No...no no no...

You shook your head, "No...no, that's my fri-"

"(y/n). Right now, everyone besides the ones I bring in this building are your enemy." Papa held your shoulders and noticed your panicked state, "....I can't bring you back to your room. Cassandra will bring you to the-"

No. You stared at your father in shock,

"...No....not there-" You already knew where he was going to take you. There is only one room besides your room where you would go.

That's solitary confinement, which he calls the "safe-room".

"(y/n), I have no choice but to." Papa shook his head, "you're in danger, and your room can't be safe anymore. Take her there." He looked at Cassandra, who hesitated but slowly and gently pulled you back.

"Let's go." She whispered,

"No...no wait-" You tried to reason with Papa. You already knew once you're there, you can't escape. The feeling of needing to get out was real, and was pounding through your veins. Papa turned his back to you as though he made his decision.

Right as you tried to reason with him, you felt something stab through your heart as you felt the Seal in your back throb. Halting, you stared at Papa's back unintentionally as you felt a soul being dragged inside the Seal. Your vision faded over to that soul, a soul which was warm and so easily recognizable.

It was Yugi.

Your heart pounded, your breathing all over the place as tears welled your cheeks. Feeling your lungs burn, your vision darted back and forth from reality to the Orichalcos grabbing and pulling Yugi, who seemed to not fight back. Your breathing grew heavy and lost control as you clenched your aching heart once Yugi's soul held no trace left. Having no power over those under Dartz's hand, you were forced to watch Yugi get sealed within the Orichaclos.

Your hearing was fuzzy, but you could briefly hear a loud scream. It wasn't until your hearing eventually came back that you realized where this screaming came from.

It was yours.
