==========================================

You felt his hands stroke your hair as reassurance you were actually here. His body was trembling as he embraced you, but after a minute or so, he seemed to finally calm down. Silence was tense in the room until he spoke,

"Are you alright? Where is Nymphi? Are you both safe? Nothing bad happened, right?"

Feeling overwhelmed by the number of questions already up in the air, you pulled away from the hug and cupped his cheeks,

"First off, calm down. Too many questions up in the air." You assured, "First off, I'm fine...just...this new setting is a lot to take in." You looked around the massive room then realized how different Yami looked in contrast to how he looked before; Yami's skin was tanned, and he wore a sleeveless white dress with a golden belt that had a blue sash up to his knees. Around one of his shoulders is a golden wing that held back part of his dark violet cape that was elegantly wrapped around his torso. His crown was the Millenium Eye that comfortably rested on his head with golden wings blending in with his hair. Noticing the golden arm braces on his arms and legs, you took a step back and realized something new about Yami.

Yami....looks even hotter than how he looked before.

It seemed he had taken notice of his, and he rose an eyebrow with a smirk,

"What's wrong? Enjoying the view~?"

"Ju...Just a little bit..." You automatically responded without thinking straight. He chuckled in response and crossed his arms,

"It's alright, I am as well." He admitted with his eyes also checking you out, "I knew you'd look good in a dress."

"Wh-" Your eyes finally locked with Yami's crimson eyes, "I always thought dresses wouldn't suit me."

"You're lying." Yami gasped, shocked at your response, "You look amazing!"

"I liked the leather on you though." You mumbled with narrowed eyes.

He laughed, "I don't think Egypt at our actual time has leather."

"It suited you though." You nodded,

"Tell that to Yugi, it was his choice. Speaking of, I wonder how he's doing in the tournament...I did leave mid-duel."

"Wait..hold on-" Shocked, you stared at Yami, "You just....left?"

"Yes," Yami nodded, "Think of it like you barged in my room and stayed in there. That's the best way I can explain it. Without hesitation, I felt my spirit leave the puzzle and sped over to...suddenly this time." Yami vaguely explained, "Speaking of....I....I can't describe it...but I knew something was wrong long prior I sensed you." Yami responded, "...I felt like something went wrong. (Y/n), how did you get here? Especially before me?"

"Well....uh..." you gritted your teeth, "...don't uh....get mad or anything."

"Why would I?" Yami's eyebrows furrowed and his hand rested on his hip,

"Well...uh...." You chuckled nervously, "See...uh....Nymphi and I...were....uh....forced here."

"How?" Yami tensed up and intensely stared at you,

"Uh...Ya see...Bakura - well, it was more of the spirit in the Millenium Ring, kinda snatched us before the tournament and made us come here." You answered and watched his face fall. From intense, you could feel his soul tremble in anger yet his face showed a blank expression with fierce crimson eyes. His soul was trembling that caught a few sparks of pure anger which caused his body to tremble. It seemed like he was trying his absolute best to keep himself calm, his fists clenched and his crimson eyes locked to the ground. His breaths were staggered with rage,

"He didn't hurt us..." You assured, "...well sort of, but-"

"What?" Yami's head rose quickly, "What do you mean sort of?"

"He..." You gulped, now beginning to feel sort of bad for Yami Bakura, "...He...used Nymphi as a weapon to get me to go to Egypt."

"....did he hurt her." Yami's voice growled,

"...He almost did." You confirmed, "To stop him, I had to take him to Egypt."

His hand covered his eyes and his head drooped down with his breaths now slow but filled with rage.

"...and all this happened....while I was blindly at a tournament. I'm so stupid."

"Come on now, don't blame yourself." You narrowed your eyes, "I....I mean it was really sudden. Like, walked in and boom."

"And now he's here..." Yami muttered,

"Yeah..." You nodded, "....but he isn't with Nymphi, she's with Isis."

"Who?" Yami mumbled,

"I don't know, honestly. The last I heard that name was when I met with Ishizu. Nymphi called her with that name." You answered,

"...(y/n)." Yami took a deep breath,

"...yes?"

"...I should really keep you on a leash."

You were so taken aback, you could say nothing but stare at him. Yami sensed that stare,

"...because whenever I leave you for at least two seconds, you are swept away from me." He continued, "First with Pegasus....then with Noah....then with Dartz...and now Bakura."

".....you actually remember them?" You mumbled,

"Yes....(y/n)....yes I do..." Yami chuckled in response, almost seeming as though your responses cheered him up in some way.

"Even Pegasus?" Keeping this up, you raised an eyebrow, "I forgot about him."

"How can you forget about Pegasus?" His chucking soon turned to a laugh with his head shaking,

"Gee, I dunno, probably cause that was like, a whole Millennia ago. Literally now cause we're like, five thousand years in the past."

"(y/n)." Yami shook his head and walked towards you. His arms wrapped around you and pulled you for a warm embrace.

"What?" You asked,

"I love you." His tense muscles relaxed as he let out a content sigh. Taken aback by his hug, you gulped and slowly wrapped your arms around him to return the embrace.

"I....love you too." Despite this man is your husband, it still made your cheeks go red whenever you said those words. Yet, even though it made your cheeks go red, you could feel a smile grow on Yami's lips as he briefly tightened the embrace,

"I am glad both you and Nymphi are alright," Yami sighed of relief, "...you know, it's strange."

"What is?"

"....I always knew there was something about you, something familiar. Yet here you are, as my wife. And we have a family. This is news I should be still shocked over."

"....you aren't?" You blinked, "That's awkward, cause I'm still registering."

"Well there's that." Yami chuckled, "But when I found out....I wasn't shocked at all."

"You weren't?" You asked,

"I was rather...happy..." He nodded, "I wasn't too shocked....it was like I already knew it long before I was told."

"And that makes you happy?" You raised an eyebrow, "Wedded and have a daughter with some vessel with some monster?"

"Oho, after all this time now you ask me this?" Yami asked as he trickled his hand up to your hair and entangled his fingers with your hair,

"Looks like I need some reminders." You smirked at him,

"Are you teasing me~?" He hummed in your ear that sent chills down your spine. Feeling your heart stagger, you gripped his shoulders and shook your head,

"What in the world are you talking about~?" You teased, "You're not gonna remind me how I managed to marry a Pharaoh?"

Yami's face lifted from your shoulder and he gave you a smug look, a grin was on his face with his crimson eyes narrowed. You felt his other hand slither down to your waist. Friction was tense between you and Yami as he stared from your eyes to your lips. Pulling you closer to him, you felt the golden chains on his body as you stared directly into his eyes with unexplained eagerness and adrenaline pumping you up - yet you decided to wait and see what he was planning. It seemed he took notice of this, and his grin grew to a smirk as he leaned back,

"I mean well, if you insist...I am not going to rush you in or anything."

"Oh you jerk." You sneered as he laughed,

"I can't resist," Yami responded as he removed his hand from your hair to your shoulder. Within seconds, he pulled you a lot closer as though he was going to pull you for a kiss. Your heart began to pound right until the moment he almost locked lips with yours-

knock knock knock

"My Pharaoh?" Both you and Yami heard Shimon from the other side of the door, "It's time for your duties to be completed."

Disappointment was plastered on Yami's face as he blankly stared at you. He took a long sigh and stared at the door,

"....Now?" A whine escaped his lips before he cleared his throat, "...alright...I'll be there. Can I take (y/n) with me?"

"Of course. Nymphi is in the throne room with Isis, waiting for both of you." Shimon responded, "I will be waiting for you outside."

Yami pouted at the door before turning to you, "It seems we are being summoned."

"It does, doesn't it." You nodded, seemingly disappointed at the sudden timing.

"....It's weird," Yami sighed, "It's like we're the only ones who don't know what's going on."

"And we're literally the most important figures in Egypt at the moment." You added, "not really the best position to forget everything."

"We'll just go with the flow, maybe that'll help us remember." Yami's hand interlaced with yours, "Let's go."

"Alright," You nodded and followed Yami out of the bedroom. Just as promised, Shimon stood outside with a couple of guards behind.

"Shall we?" Shimon's eyes soon averted down to Yami's hands, ".....Did you two forget the rules? No affection publically." His eyebrow raised,

"Apologies." Yami's hand slipped out of yours, "...Forgot."

"It's alright. Both of you are young, besides, we've yet to see a son." Shimon shrugged

"And there it is." You heard the Leviathan sarcastically note, "Trust me when I say I did not miss this at all."

'Wait...what's that supposed to mean?' You mentally asked the Leviathan as you quietly walked with Yami behind Shimon,

"You'll see. If they don't pesture you when you sit down at that throne, I'll gladly impersonate them."

'You're...rather talkative this time around.'

"Did you forget how talkative I can be? I'm back to my whole self again and this is how my Vessel treats me? How cruel."

You rolled your eyes and mentally scoffed at it, yup, back to square one. Strangely enough, you missed the sarcastic remarks of the Leviathan, it's been way too long. After some walking, two large doors opened by the two guards standing, and a long, wide hallway was open for you and Yami to walk. Noticing a few guards positioned, you, Yami, and Shimon walked down the hall and towards a grand scenery.

The throne room was dressed entirely in gold, the size of the throne room seemed to fit possibly Kaiba's whole mansion. The walls were painted with certain figures you could not interpret; they seemed to look like birds, colored in red, white, and blue. Near the farthest wall from where you stood was a small staircase with two huge thrones, and those two stood as though they were the most expensive of them all. Behind one of the thrones was a giant bird that stood greatly, as though it had power and fierceness. The two giant throne chairs were accompanied by six tall people, and one thing that immediately caught your interest is how each person has a Millenium Item. Your eyes soon shifted over to a female nearest to your throne. She was on her knees up until the doors opened, as she quickly rose to her feet and remained in position. However, just next to her, sitting and playing with what appears to be toys, was Nymphi. Relief seized you once you locked eyes with her, then soon realized how she looked different as well. She wore a large golden necklace and took over her chest, filled with rubies the same color as her crimson eyes. Wearing a transparent white cape behind her white mini-dress, she had golden sandals that wrapped around her legs. Gently wrapped around her waist was a golden brace that also had the Eye that was seen in most of the Millenium Items. Her hair was fixed; straightened and she had bangs as she had on a tiny golden crown. Her crimson eyes locked with yours and lit up almost immediately, her feet shooting her up from the ground as she eagerly waited next to the woman who rose the moment the door opened. Biting your lip to prevent a smile, you and Yami were escorted to the throne room, which the moment you walked up the golden steps, Nymphi practically jumped to both yours and Yami's arms.

"Welcome back!" She cried happily as she held both you and Yami tightly. Yami immediately knelt and returned the embrace with a gentle kiss to her forehead,

"I am glad to see you, Nymphi. Are you alright?" He asked and watched her nod,

"Mhm! Isis watched me the whole time!" Nymphi responded and looked up at the hooded woman, "Right?"

The woman silently nodded. As you ruffled Nymphi's hair, you stared at the woman she called Isis, then realized something.

She....looks an awful lot like Ishizu. The blue eyes that silently stared at you with the Millenium Necklace resting on her neck - her black hair slightly visible from the white hood that held a golden bird emblem.

"Thank you, Isis." You thanked Isis as she gave a slight bow of acknowledgment. Shifting your eyes to the throne, you managed to take a closer look at it. It seemed you knew which throne was yours, as the one on the right had the Seal of Orichalcos engraved on the top of the throne. Seeing it made you realize how much of importance you are...well...despite being the Pharaoh's wife. Literally, everything that involves you has the Seal of Orichalcos. Yami rose from the floor and, along with you, sat at his designated throne. The moment you sat at the throne, you felt...weird. You still have yet to register the fact you are literally married to the Pharaoh, so it felt weird sitting at your throne. Yet, at the same time, gave you a sense of strength you never knew existed in you. Right as the both of you sat, a man entered the throne room and kneeled before you and Yami,

"Great Pharaoh! May we open the court?" The man asked

"Very well." Despite looking shocked at this, Yami responded in a calm manner.

"Bring the prisoner!" The man rose and hollered behind him, and two guards appeared before you, dragging a man whose hands were tied behind his back,

"This way!" One guard commanded,

"W-Wait!" The prisoner spoke,

"This man was caught trying to enter the tomb of the former Pharaoh!" The guard continued without letting the prisoner speak,

"I'm not a thief! I didn't steal anything! The tomb was empty when I got there! There was no treasure, not even-" The prisoner tried to explain, but was interrupted by a guard.

"Be quiet!" The guard hissed,

"Great Pharaoh....there is no end to thieves like this, who would rob the royal tombs..." Shimon whispered, "These sinners are judged by the seven holy items of the Pharaoh and the six priests, the Millenium Items." He explained,

So that's how the Millenium Items are used... You thought,

"Now your crime will be judged by the Seven Millenium Items!" Shimon announced,

"What....are you going to do?" The prisoner asked,

"High Priest Shada!" A voice boomed, as a man from the six that stood by Yami stepped closer to the prisoner. He was hooded, so you couldn't see what he looked like, but you watched him pull out a Millenium Item,

"With the Millenium Key, I will look into this man's heart!" Shada announced as he pulled the item in front of the prisoner. After a few seconds of silence, you heard Shada speak,

"Just as I thought, I see the shadow of an evil ka in this man's heart!" Shada spoke,

"Now I, High Priest Aknadin, will use the Millenium Eye to reveal the true form of that ka!" The same voice from earlier spoke, which you realized came from one of the six priests. However, unlike Shada, you actually saw this man. He was an old man, with a beard, yet one of his eyes held the Millenium Eye. You......weirdly....felt a connection with this man. Probably because of the fact his eye held some ancient artifact, very similar to yours. Your attention soon shifted to the prisoner, who seemed to be frothing at the mouth before a black mist was pulled out of the man's mouth. You stared in awe (despite Yami looking shocked) as the swirls began to create some type of monster,

"Anger, hatred...those negative emotions create monsters in men's souls. Eventually, those ka will take over that person, making them commit crimes....breaking the divine order of Ma'at...increasing their power by creating more rage and sorrow." Shimon explained. You raised an eyebrow at this and watched a very disoriented monster surge from the man; a very discarded and disfigured skull with sharp fangs that oozed blackness. Having no legs, the monster loomed over everyone with five arms, watch having four sets of sharp claws.

"...this looks like something the Leviathan would love..." You muttered under your breath,

"And you are right."

"The six priests chosen by the power of one thousand years have the ability to exorcise these demons, and seal them away in stone slabs!" Shimon exclaimed as guards pulled up next to the monster with an empty stone slab. Your eyes briefly averted to the slab before making the connection

'This is how monster cards were made...' You thought,

"...so they're sent to the Domain of Monsters, where the Leviathan is, correct?" You questioned Shimon and watched him nod,

"And that's where you come in," Shimon confirmed as another priest walked to the scene,

"Priest Seto! Use the power of the Millenium Rod to seal the ka within the stone!" Priest Aknadin spoke

.......HUH?

You stared at Priest Akhenaden speak in shock before you quickly stared at the new priest. Did you hear correctly? Priest SETO? Like, Seto KAIBA, Seto?

Nahhhh...maybe you just misheard. Besides, you're five thousand years away from Seto Kaiba. Not like he's gonna show up now.

"A Ka of this low level isn't even amusement for the Pharaoh..." You heard Priest Seto speak and took immediate notice of his voice.

"Uh....he sounds an awful lot like Kaiba..." You whispered to Yami, who silently nodded,

"...yeah...I noticed...and he even stands like him too.." He responded. You squinted at Priest Seto's stance and quietly gasped,

"....you're right..." you whispered,

"Evil Ka! Dark spirit of Chaos! Begone, and enter the holy stone!" Priest Seto rose the Rod that chained the monster in place. Screaming, the monster was forced into the stone slab by Priest Seto's hand and became two-dimensional inside the stone slab. As though he felt satisfied, Priest Seto turned to smirk at you and Yami - however, by making eye contact with Priest Seto's eyes basically confirmed yours and Yami's suspicions.

Yup, that's Seto Kaiba, he's just tanner. He even smirks like Kaiba too.

Not even the rules of descent can play this out, how the hell is Priest Seto exactly like Seto Kaiba?

'Don't tell me Kaiba is magically trapped like Yami, Nymphi and I...' You mentally groaned, 'That skeptic? Involved in this? Nah...'

"It's magic."

You paused with a sneer, '....is that sarcasm?'

"Yes."

"Well done, Priest Seto." Priest Aknadin applauded,

"Please. I'm sure it was dull for the Pharaoh. Shall we draw and quarter this prisoner for his amusement?" Priest Seto boasted,

"That is unnecessary. The evil ka has been exorcised from that man's soul. Even though he is a sinner, part of the duty of a priest is to show mercy. After we exorcise the ka, it is handed to the Queen for her to take care of it in the Domain where the Great Holy Leviathan is trapped. Don't you agree, Priest Seto?" Priest Aknadin responded,

"The resting place of the Great Pharaoh is the Domain of the gods. There should be no pity for a grave robber who would defile such a holy spot. I suggest we flay his body, break his bones and execute him as a warning to other robbers." Priest Seto suggested.

"...P...Please don't kill me..." The prisoner whimpered,

....O-kay, not even Kaiba would conjure up something so detailed and graphic. One thing off the list for this man being exactly like Seto Kaiba.

"That man is sentenced to seven years of hard labor! Take him away!" Priest Aknadin ordered as the guards dragged him away. You narrowed your eyes at this, although graphic, Priest Seto does bring a point. That man may just get the labor over with and try again.

"Priest Mahad. Supervision of the Royal Tombs is the duty of your guards, is it not? The Royal Tombs are being defiled too often these days...what do you have to say about that?" Priest Seto turned to one of the priests that held the Millenium Ring. His eyes narrowed at this, then with a sigh,

"You have my deepest apologies," Mahad spoke, "However, for the last few days, the auguries I have received from the Millenium Ring have been extremely erratic. The number of ka nesting in souls has vastly increased. I can't detect every sinner and every evil intention."

"It is the duty of the six priests to protect the Pharaoh and his family! Both alive and dead!" Priest Seto exclaimed before looking at Nymphi, "Even if his family lacks a proper heir...which will be fixed."

You raised an eyebrow at this as he went on his knees, "Great Pharaoh! I request permission to enlist more troops to strengthen the guards at the valley of kings!"

"Er...uhm...yes...I leave it to you." Yami flinched in response as Priest Seto blankly stared at him until he averted his attention to the slab,

"Take the new ka to the shrine of Wedju! Place it among the other stones for the Queen!" He ordered.

"Yes sir!" The guards nodded and left the throne room with the slab under a carrier.

Silence filled the room until Nymphi spoke,

"Priest Seto, when can I visit the monsters?" She asked,

"When your mother successfully brings a freshly sprout barley instead of wheat." Priest Seto snarkily replied,

"Priest Seto..." Priest Aknadin muttered,

"Speaking of, Great Queen of the Orichalcos." Priest Seto glances at you, "Do you bear news of that?"

"...Pardon?" You were taken aback by this question, "I...wasn't even given any of those."

Priest Seto sighed in defeat, "I see..."

"...and there it is."

You were really confused about this whole thing.

"What is it, Isis?!" Priest Aknadin spoke to the woman bearing the Millenium Necklace.

"My Millenium Necklace has picked up a disturbing future." She answered,

"What?!" Priest Aknadin gasped,

"A disturbing future?" You tilted your head, "Like how?"

"An evil shadow approaches this palace...someone with incredible powers of magic!" Priestess Isis informed as the doors ahead were kicked open. Right as the door was kicked open, Mahad's Millenium Ring began to shake in magic.

"What's wrong, Mahad?" Priest Shada asked,

"My Millenium Ring has detected a great shadow power!" Priest Mahad answered

"Your Holiness! A grave robber calling himself Bakura is heading towards the Pharaoh's chamber!" A guard hollered from far, as some gathered in front of the priests to protect them.

You tensed up at this and looked at Nymphi, "Nymphi, come here." You whispered, as the little girl quickly hopped onto your lap without hesitation. Yami's hands clenched his seat as he glared up ahead. You, Yami, and Nymphi watched as panic began to rise; guards being thrown at the throne room as finally, from the darkness, rose a tanned man with long, white hair. He wore a long, red coat and had nothing on but a white skirt that went to his thighs. Covering his white hair was a white cloak, but his face was very easily recognizable. You watched his familiar smirk when he locked eyes with you as he dragged the treasures he had stolen, but one item that he dragged caught your attention.

With Bakura, dragged on the floor by a single rope, was a mummy.

"And I'm finally here...in the Throne Room.." Bakura huffed with a smirk, "We meet again, (y/n)."

Actual Fun Fact about Ancient Egypt; If you're confused about the barley/wheat reference made by Priest Seto, allow me to fill you in.

In Ancient Egypt, wheat and barley were used as pregnancy tests. Women were to urinate in each plant to determine results. If barley sprouted first, it was a boy. If wheat, it's a girl. Believe it or not, these tests were actually around 80-85% accurate!
