I changed out of my sweats into my black jeans. Putting the gun back in the waistband of my jeans, I also strapped two of my karambit knives around my right ankle. I always did this when I went out especially in large crowds and I was sure we would be going to some high end mall. And I know from experience that you always have to be on high alert, also the few people who have seen Knight Ryder in her most deadliest form can be a real problem for me.

And before you start, let me explain. Yes I am talking about killing people and no I wouldn't call myself an assassin. It all started when I met my best friend Eren, he was a year older then me and he was an orphan. We had started becoming really close friends he was kind of like my safe haven away from my parents and home. We loved each other to death, when he turned 10 he was adopted by a Turkish couple. Eymen and Zehra. Both of them wanted to take him back to Turkey but we both practically begged them to let him stay, once they had actually seen how close we were both of them gave in.

When I turned twelve and Eren turned thirteen I had told him about the abuse and how I had started training with an underground gym owner. As soon as he found out Eren practically flipped and asked me again and again to move in with him, I told him that even with him I wouldn't necessarily be safe I also couldn't risk him getting hurt. That was when he finally told what his new parents really did for a living. They were the leaders of the Turkish mafia. Even after that I was still afraid that if I move in with him he might get hurt.

His parents found out, of course they didn't know the whole story just the part about me needing to learn how to protect myself and coincidentally the owner of the underground gym worked for the Turkish mafia. His parents instructed him to teach me everything ranging from street fighting, to fighting with knives, guns and another assortment of weapons. I was a fast learner and after only half a year I was what you could only classify as deadly. I told Eren that I was handling the situation at home, I know he never believed me but thankfully didn't question it much.

As Eymen saw what I was capable of he thought I could be a valuable asset to him. He started by having me get rid of small people the ones that were just minor inconveniences but soon he learned how sadistic and crazy I got when I was in action. So he decided to me only doing some his most biggest enemies, the ones he had real beef with. Me and Eren started doing these jobs together, I was the one who did the torture while Eren finished the the person off.

We had the best time on these missions. Unfortunately when I turned fourteen, Eren had to move to turkey with his family for his further training. I still remember how we both cried for hours just holding each other. Even his parents were sad but we all knew that there was no other way around it. Eren had to be trained as he was the heir and I was his best friend so I was going to support him. We didn't get to see each other after that. Only through face time.

I still got the projects for time to time and they gave me good money So it wasn't too much trouble. I just put the final bullet in their head now too. We were still closer than ever and just talking to him brought me peace. I knew that if he was still with me there was a reason to live.

When I went downstairs only Dante was there sitting on the couch in the living room talking with someone on the phone. He looked up as I entered and smiled at me which I returned. Sitting down beside him I remembered that I haven't talked to Eren in a few days given all the drama. So decided to text him.

Devil😈⛓- Yo!

Slayer🗡🩸- I have major news to share

Devil😈⛓- Everything okay? What is it?

Slayer🗡🩸- Everything is fine... well maybe but I am currently okay. A lot has happened in the past two to three days. I can't tell you everything over the chat. I face time you tonight.

Devil😈⛓- K but do not forget!!

Slayer🗡🩸- I promise, I gotta go now. Talk to you later. Love you!

I Put my phone back in my pocket as I hear the others come down. When everyone was down we went to the garage. And might I say it was heaven. They had soo many cars and everyone of them looked expensive. The others went towards a silver Ferrari portofino. It was similar to the one I used in races except mine was red. The street races were the one thing that no one other than me and Eren knew about. The races have always been so exhilarating for me. I do miss doing that. And as much as I wanted to ask Luca to let me drive I knew that a) he would never let me near the steering wheel of his car and b) even if through some miracle he did let me drive, my brothers wouldn't at all like the speed I drive at.

So I kept my mouth shut and took a seat in the front, Luca sat in the driver's seat while the other three sat in the back. We pulled out of the drive way, I put my foot up on the seat and put my earphones on. I could see Luca glaring at me but I knew he couldn't really do anything especially with the others here so I just smirked and kept listening to the songs while looking out at the scenery passing us in the way.

While we'd were on the road I did notice two black cars following us the whole time. "Hey guys, you know anything about the two cars following us." I said "Bodyguards." Is all Alex said, the others also seemed pretty okay so too let it go. After about 25 minutes we reached the mall and my body instantly tensed while I put on my emotionless mask. Always stay alert.

While me and Alex bought me clothes the other three went to some other stores. We went to all high end stores and bought so many clothes and accessories and shoes. Even after I constantly told Alex that I didn't need so much stuff he just kept on putting it in his cart. We bought jeans, t shirts, skirts, cardigans, hoodies and a few dresses.

As we came out from the last store where we got all of my school supplies, me and Alex met up with the others. They had bags from the Apple store with them. "You guys really like tech don't you?" I said eyeing the probably ten bags they had in hand. "Oh no these aren't for us, at least not all of them. We got you your new phone, laptop, iPad and AirPods." Said Dante. "I already had a phone and earphones. I didn't need all of this stuff." "Okay, no offence but your phone was like ten years old with hounds of scratches. Besides you need the other stuff for school." I decided to just roll with it for now. "How about we go get some food. Huh?" All of us agreed and we made our way to the food court."

I could barely eat a single burger while the others probably ate three including fries and milkshakes. Pigs. After we were done eating we all were heading back to the parking lot but I had to use the washroom so I told them to wait near the car for me. Alex was a little hesitant to leave me alone but went ahead in the end.

I went to the restroom, all the while I could feel eyes on me. I checked back a couple of times but couldn't see anyone, I would say I was being paranoid but given my history, I wouldn't put it past someone wanting me dead. I quickly finished my business and just as I got out of there when I felt a hand go around my mouth and another around my waist.

I panicked. The washroom was behind the escalator soon one could really see me. I went into survival mode. I knew I could fight the guy easily and could even escaped unnoticed but the new circumstances I am currently in I had to get out of this unnoticed. The guy was pulling me up to the back entrance.

I looked up in front of me and spotted a camera facing me but as I thrashed around in the guy's arms I could see out of the corner of my eye that there was a blind spot just a few steps away. I let the man lead me up to there, and just as I was out of the cameras sight. I hooked my left leg behind his and pulled it forward making him fall on his ass. I wasted no time in turning around, I took my gun out of my pants and straddled him while I kept his hands above his head with my left hand while I held the gunboat his forehead.

"Who sent you?" I asked him in a dealt calm tone. I could see the blood drain from his face. "N-no one." He replied. "I am not in the mood for your fucking games. So it would be better if you tell me who fucking sent you." I yelled in his face, pushing the tip of my gun on his forehead.

"I-I swear man. I just. You looked hot so I thought I could get a good time with you." The pathetic scum said. I let out a breath of relief but instantly stiffened up as I heard what he was planning to do to me. No. Not again. He is dead and no one is going to do that to me again.

I put my gun down and took out one of my karambit knives, I had stopped to my ankles and without a second thought slit the guy's throat and watched as he bled out in front of me. His body was thrashing under me but I just kept looking at him with that psychotic smirk on my face. His body stated to fall limp and his eyes started dropping. I knew he would dead any second so I just leaned near his ear and whispered "You deserve so much worse."

I got up fixing my outfit and hair, putting my weapons back in place I walk back to the parking lot. "Where were you? We were just going to come look for you." Alex asked worry clear on his face "Sorry. Long line at the restroom." I replied sheepishly. "Oh, ok. Come on now let's go."

I was now in my room. The others had helped me bring my stuff up to my room, and Marco helped me set my new phone. Which was surprisingly not that difficult. And now I was currently on face time with Eren.

("Italics"- Kate "Normal"-Eren)

"Hello! So what is this big news."

Rotating my phone around the new room I ask "Notice anything different?"

"Oh yeah... where are you?"

"I am free. Those monsters are dead and I am living with my brothers."

There was silence on the line for a few seconds and I genuinely thought Eren's screen had frozen.

"Wait. Hold on. Back up a minute. What the hell happened in the past three days?"

"Well. How shall I start. The assholes died in a car crash. Drunk driving, nothing new. I expected to be sent to some shitty foster home or something. Turns out I had brothers all along, sadly dad is dead. But the oldest is now my legal guardian. And now here I am living in their big ass mansion in America."

"Wow! Okay. So clearly a lot has happened. But I really am glad. That they are dead. And as much as I am hoping you can come and live here, I guess you want to be with them."

That made me think. Do I really want to be with them. I mean I barely even know them and already, one of them hates me, one shows up high as kite literally the day after I show up and to top it all of the oldest carries a gun around. Oh, and not to mention the intense security around the house and bodyguards that follow us everywhere.

But despite it all I still want to stay here. Maybe for the first time in y entire life I am having hope. Hope that maybe my family loves me they way families are supposed. Hope that around these people I can stay safe. And hope that maybe I can love someone and be happy.

"Yeah. Anyway, what's going on there. Any thing you wanna tell me?"

"Other than the fact that hitler is literally on my ass for skipping a session to go to a concert. No everything here is the same old."

Hitler is is father. That is the name he has given to him when he is really pissing Eren off.

"Well, you had that coming."

"It was TAYLOR SWIFT. Are you really going to tell me you wouldn't have done the same thing?"

"Okay point. But how is life outside of the mafia."

"Well. School is great although I do wish you were here from time to time, especially when I have to stop some douche from beating up a kid."

"Who knows? Maybe these guys will let me meet you soon."

"That'd be great. I hate to do this but it is time for the training. I really don't want hitler to flip the house over."

"K, bye devil!"

"Bye slayer!"

I was exhausted by now so I decided to take a shower and go to bed early.
