Amelia's POV:

After the Ball, the boys and I decided to head back home. Luca being him decided to have a 'sibling after party' (His words not mine).

so by the end of the night we were all arguing and luca had a busted lip over a nasty game of twister

Next Day:

The next morning I woke up early as it was our last day in Italy for a few weeks

The boys wanted me to be in New York for my actual birthday for whatever reason, so we planned to leave at about 12 pm.

Before we left I decided to go with Enzo to a gelato shop because he wanted me to have real Gelato.

I haven't really been able to get to know Enzo, so this would be good alone time for the both of us to get to know each other. It honestly was really fun. Besides Dante and Luca, I think Enzo is the only other brother I can actually stand.

Anyways after our early morning gelato, we got back to the house for the few hours we have before we have to leave. • • •

Luca Valentino

Luca: Hey Mia come downstairs Me: why? Luca: something I wanna show you Me:why? Luca: because Me:But why? Luca: just get your ass down here Me: ok rude but fine I'll be down in a sec

After making sure my school travel bag was packed I looked around the room once more deciding I would give it a upgrade next time we came back, and closed the door and went downstairs to find Luca.

"Hey, come sit there's some stuff I want to show you" he says while sitting on the couch with 3 boxes surrounding him.

"Uhh, oh?" I say while making my way over to him.

"Uhm so the last few weeks I've been thinking about how little you really know about the family, so I want to explain as much as I can to you. I know I won't have all the answers your probably looking for but I do want to make this process easier for you" Luca says while scratching scratching the back of his head

"Ok, what do you have?" I say looking at all the boxes while sitting down

"Well I want to start by saying, before you and Marie left, we were all so fucking happy, or well atleast I thought we were" he says while taking out a few family photos

Taking the photos I see me, all of the boys, Marie and my father. In all of the photos we all look happy.

Most of them show my brothers looking at me adoringly while our parents smile at all of us.

"We still aren't sure what made marie leave with you, but we do know that after you two left our family turned to shit" he says while digging through the box for other pictures

"This was the first family picture we took two years after you left. Dad didn't even want to do it but Nonna forced him" he says showing me a picture of all of the boys and our dad, all looking extremely numb of emotions.

"We all began to change after you left. After about 2 years of searching dad started drinking really bad. When he would drink, he was completely out of it, so in a way we lost three people when you two left." He says looking at me with a small smile.

"Anyways, after awhile mateo got older and started taking more and more responsibility for us boys as dad started to drink himself more and more out of our lives. Then as soon as Teo turned 18, it was his birth right to inherit the mafia, especially considering dad hadn't been a good job of keeping things in check. He gave dad the ultimatum to either get his shit together or get the fuck out, and well he left us. We don't know where the hell he is or even if he's still alive" Luca says while showing me pictures of just the boys all looking even more void of emotions.

"So you guys had to learn to live alone" I say looking at all of the pictures in the box, older ones having little me in the and newer ones with the boys

"Yea, but I mean we managed, I think given the circumstances Mateo did a great job especially at such a young age" he says with a small shrug

"Yea I agree, plus it explains we he acts like a dad all of the damn time" I say which leads to Luca and I both laughing hysterically

"Yea... well anyways, that's just a small part of our story. I don't want you to feel obligated thinking you have to tell us yours but I do want you to realize that we never truly got over you not being here, even if those two assehole act like they don't care, they do" he says

"Really?, they have a hell of a way of showing it the " I mumble under my breath

"Yea, those two took it pretty hard when you left, even though it's no excuse at all for the hell they've been putting you through. I think since they've had their guard up so long, they don't want to let it down in fear that you'll leave again" he says with a sad smile

"Well I hope those idiots realize that sadly we're stuck with each other" I say with a fake sad sigh

"That we are" he says while a smile while judging me • • • •

"Amelia hurry the fuck up we're all ready to fucking go" gio screams in the kitchen

"Hold your fucking horses I'm getting a snack" i snap back

Jesus fucking christ I'm going to kill him

"Took you long enough" Alex says when i get into the car.

"Oh shut the hell up drama queen, don't act like you didn't spend 2 hours on your hair this morning" i say while flicking him off

"Are you excited for your birthday mia?" Dante says while looking at his phone

"I don't really care for my birthday" i say while looking at the beautiful italy landscape pass us by

"Why not?" Enzo questions from the passenger side

"I didn't really get a chance to celebrate it growing up so it's always just been like another day" i say while shrugging a bit

"Well i guess we'll have to change that then" Luca says with a small smirk • • • • After about 9 hours on our flight, we finally made it back to New York.

Since it was so late we all decided to do our own thing. I went into my room to try to finish getting caught up on the school work I had missed. Since I did most of it on the plane I didn't have much to finish.

Knock knock

"Who is it?" i say from my desk while turning down the Arctic Monkeys playing on my Alexa

"It's Enzo, can I come in?" Enzo says behind the door

"Sure"

"Wow sorellina, I'm glad to see you aren't a pig like our brothers" he says while looking at my room making his way over to the corner that has my desk and futon.

"Yea I hate messes" I say while spinning my chair around to face him sitting in the futon

"So what's up?" I say with a small smile

"Well I was wondering if it was okay if we took you out to dinner for your birthday? You could invite anyone you want, it's tradition that we go out to dinner for our birthdays and we want to take you, any restaurant of your choice" he says with a small smile

When he says this I get butterflies in my stomach. They actually care about my birthday? I get they had an entire ball for me, but i just thought that was more for them and their acquaintances as that wasn't really my scene, but this is something different...

"Sure that sounds great" i say with a smile

"Great!" He says while standing up and heading to the door. "Well I'll let you get ready for bed as it's going to be a long day for you tomorrow" he says

"Wait what do you mean, you only said dinner" i say looking at him with a confused look

"You'll see" he says with a smirk and leaves

The fuck is that suppose to mean? Guess I'll find out in the morning.

I decide to text eli to see if he wanted to come to the dinner, and thea and rylee as so far those are really the only two people other than eli that I'd consider a friend.

For a moment I think of inviting Xavier but quickly shake the thought off as 1. I don't know him really and 2. I don't even have his number.

After getting responses from everyone telling me that they'd be there, I decided to get ready for bed as I took what enzo said as a warning. • • •

Hey babes!! Lowk a quick update for me and I'm lovin it! This chapter was already pre witten I just had to go in an edit it a bit (definitely not all the way edited though)

I'm intrigued on how you guys feel about Xavier and Amelia though? I've seen some people already shipping Eli and Amelia so 🤷🏽‍♀️. I honestly don't even know who she'll end up with so it's up in the air.

(Also, Eli, Xavier, Thea, Rylee, and all of the other characters will be getting face claims for those who have been wondering)
