Third person POV

Alexandra sat on the grass, thinking about her life and how she had gotten here to this moment right now. The wind making the plants in the garden sway almost as if they were dancing and the sun shone brightly, illuminating and highlighting her naturally tan skin tone.

She inhaled a breath of fresh air staring up at the clouds conjuring images of dragons slaying princesses and sharks eating humans. A small smile plastered on her face as she imagined these scenarios unfold in her mind.

She closed her eyes taking in the nature around her, feeling content. All the worries she was feeling before vanishing for a moment.

She heard shuffling beside her but kept her eyes closed savouring the moment for as long as possible. She heard a sigh next to her and she opened her eyes and looked beside her to see none other than Luka with his eyes closed.

He lay beside her on the grass looking peaceful. Alexandra couldn't help but look at awe at his calm face that held a small content smile as he looked to be relaxed.

"Staring are we." He smirked and opened his eyes and she looked away back at the sky not making eye contact. He chuckled slightly following her gaze to the sky.

Words didn't need to be shared. Just laying here on the grass with each other was calming enough for the both of them.

"So what're you doing out here?" Asked Luka still looking at the birds that fluttered in circles playfully chasing each other in the sky.

Alexandra let out a sigh as she thought back as to what happened in the office with her father just moments ago.

The wind picked up suddenly, the clouds and the sun fought against each other to gain control of the sky. In the end the clouds prevailed. The sky turned dark.

Why was it that darkness always came out victorious.

"Let's just say that my father wasn't happy, he's placed all these rules on me." She chuckled slightly then sighed. "I'm not good with rules. I just needed some fresh air."

Luka looked like he understood what she was getting at and decided not to question her further on the topic. They both gazed up at the now cloudy sky. The once bright baby blue colour now hidden behind the grand clouds casting a great shadow on the two below.

Alexandra shivered as the clouds released a cold breeze her way. She clutched onto herself and mentally cursed her foolishness as she had forgotten to wear her jacket and her long sleeve shirt was thin allowing the wind to target it and attack her with ease.

She felt goosebumps travel up her arms and legs. Luka noticed too and he quickly removed his black hoodie and gave it to her. He was now in a black thermal shirt and jeans.

Alexandra smiled at his generosity. "Thanks Lu but don't you think you'll get cold." He raised an eyebrow at the nickname and shook his head, but Alexandra caught the faint smile he had on his face that he quickly hid.

"Don't worry about it princess, my mum's always nagging me and my brothers and sisters to wear warm clothes and lots of layers. She forced this thermal shirt on me this morning."

They both laughed at this and Alexandra hurriedly put on the hoodie to hide the slight blush that crept on her face when he called her that nickname.

Thankfully her blush had subsided by the time the hoodie was over her head and it stopped just below her knees. Luka was huge and so were his clothes, but they were warm and cosy and smelled like him.

His smell invaded her senses and she couldn't help but enjoy it. They both went back to watching the sky that was beginning to clear. The birds were visible again, the clouds dispersed and the sun illuminated the sky.

Maybe hope still exists. Maybe there is still light in this cruel, cruel world that we call home.

For once in her life Alexandra felt what hope was. She felt it in this moment laying just watching the nature the world provided with Luka. There was something about him that made her happy.

In all her years on this earth she had never experienced happiness like she was right now. What she didn't know was that Luka was thinking the same thing as she was right now.

For he had always felt like something was missing in his life. Like he wasn't living for anything and that he had no purpose. This caused him to act out and become closed off as the bad boy everyone knows and expects him to be. Just a cold hearted bad boy nothing more nothing less. Even if he was none of those things really.

But now here with Alexandra, he felt his purpose was to protect and care for her and that's what he promised himself he would do. Even if he wasn't sure she felt the same way he did, it wouldn't matter he would be there for her as a friend.

A swarm of butterflies appeared and danced around them. They both got up and looked around in awe at the beautiful colours that surrounded them. They laughed and held up their fingers for the butterflies to land on.

The beautiful bugs were everywhere from their heads got their toes. They both looked and laughed at each other, they looked more butterfly than human at this point.

The colourful bugs reluctantly flew away off into the distance following the birds as they ventured on to bring joy to someone else's day.

By this time both Alexandra and Luka had bright beaming smiles plastered on their faces and they burst into a fit of laughter, a rare sight for anyone who knew the both of them.

Luka stopped laughing and gazed at the girl in front of him. She furrowed her eyebrows and tilted her head in confusion her gorgeous smile still shining on her face giving him a view of her straight purly whites.

"What? Do i have something on my face?" She asked confusion in her voice as she tried to bring her hand to her face but it was instantly grabbed by Luka as he came forward and brought his other hand to the side of her head. His face inches away from Alexandra's as they stared into each others eyes.

He caught a butterfly perched in Alexandra's hair that sat there like a clip and brought it out so they could both see it. It was truly a beautiful creature.

The tips of it's wings were a deep emerald green colour, the rest of the tips held a dark shade of black. The inner part of it's wings were a vibrant greeny - blue almost minty turquoise colour.

They both looked down at the same time at the magnificent creature.

"Wow!' They both said at the same time breathlessly, looking up at each other they smiled again.

Luka held his hands up and the butterfly flew off into the distance. He then ran chasing it. Alexandra followed alongside him as they both followed the butterfly to where ever it would take them.

Through the woods they went following the butterfly until it landed on a tree and perched there for a while before finally leaving the two with each other.

Luka looked at the tree a huge grin on his face. "I bet you can't get onto that branch before me." Alexandra smirked and put her hands on her hips. "Puh-lease I could beat you any day, just you watch."

With that they both grabbed onto different sides of the tree, each with a goal. To beat the other. At first Luka was in the lead, but that was before Alexandra stealthily climbed the tree with ease when he was struggling with his footing halfway through. In no time she was already perched on the branch smirking down at him.

When he had finally placed his feet comfortably on a branch he looked back up to see if he was still in the lead. It was a great surprise to him when he saw that she was already sitting comfortably on the branch looking down at him. His mouth hung open. Questions on how she got up there so fast pondered through his mind.

He joined her a few minutes later and he pouted as he sat down and Alexandra laughed at him and his previous cockiness.

They both sat there talking about everything and nothing. Just enjoying themselves until the sun started to set and they decided to get home and out of the woods before it was dark and they wouldn't be able to see. It had been hours of them just talking which felt like a few minutes. They had no idea they had been sitting there for that long.

By the time they were out of the woods it was dark and they were both sweaty as they had to literally run out of the woods and had gotten lost quite a lot because they didn't take notice of anything along the way except the butterfly. They both made there way towards the back door and pushed it open.

Their families was pacing in the living room looking worried. Both their fathers were angry, but if you looked closer you could see that the anger was covering the concern that was laced in their eyes.

All of their brothers were pacing some were calm and cold others exclaiming their thoughts loudly. Lucy was trying to calm down Damon who had oppted to punching a wall. Suprisingly he actually calmed down enough to not punch it twice.

Luka and Lex both looked at each other and gulped. If this was about them like they thought, then they were in deep shit.

Luka pulled Alexandra to the opposite room and they both made their way towards the stairs in hopes that they wouldn't get caught and they could just go up and act like they were hanging out upstairs.

Wishful thinking. But this is Alexandra, and I think we can all establish at this point that nothing seems to go right for her.
