Alexandra's POV

Finally it's Friday, and school is thankfully over. It hasn't been that bad honestly, me and the girls get along really well and I've gotten closer with the boys. It's all going great really, but today is the day.

The day I'm going to have a little 'talk' with Richard (Russian mafia leader). I need to find out why he would arrange a marriage for his daughter, especially with an evil creep like Alaric, also I need to tell him about Alaric's little plan and how he came to me, looking to assassinate his son.

I'd made up a plan. Right now I was with my family, we'd had some dinner and were now watching The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on the TV. It was one of those rare moments when everyone was free and I didn't want to leave.

But I know I had to. Just as the first episode finished I got up and faced my family. They all looked at me confused.

"Hey, I've got a pile of homework I need to do, so I'm gonna go complete that, you can all continue watching without me." I smiled and turned to leave but froze when Alfonso started speaking.

"Why don't you complete it another time, spend time with us." I faced him and I wish I didn't. His face was blank but his eyes told a different story. They looked almost hopeful and like he was begging me to stay.

Oh god now I feel bad.

I don't want to see the look on his face when I crush the hope he has in his eyes. This is why I looked at anything else but his face as I spoke.

"Sorry Alf, I don't want to fail so I might as well get the work over and done with now." My eyes betrayed me and took a glance at his face. He looked like a child who had been told no by his mother.

"Oh, well ok then. I understand." He sounded so sad.

God why do i have to have emotions!

"But! If you're all free tommorow, maybe we can all spend time together." His face lit up and so did the other's.

"Oh yes bambina, that would be awesome!" Matteo spoke up.

I smiled at them all and they in return gave me one back. I left the room sighing and made my way upstairs. Hopefully, they wouldn't come to check on me or anything, which I doubt they will.

I entered my room and locked the door behind me. I fell to the floor, removing the fluffy rug that covered the floorboards. Once I had removed it, I lifted up a single wood panel that covered a black wooden box with my initials engraved onto it.

A present, that I just can't seem to bring myself to throw away.

I opened the lid and the box expanded like a pop up book, showing rows upon rows of different weapons. I smirked looking at my little toys.

The best thing about my box is that it's unexpected. Who would expect such a small box to hold hundreds of weapons. The design was made by an expert druglord, initially used for transporting drugs. I just found a much better use for it.

Each pocket was spacious and could fill up to 6 guns and 8 knives. There were up to 63 of these pockets so you can imagine how much weapons there are. For today though, I didn't need much. I wasn't going in enemy territory after all.

I grabbed three knives and one gun just to be safe. I strapped two knives into my thigh and one in my boot. The gun, I placed in my back pocket.

I got dressed into my outfit and removed my contacts releasing my white eyes. I placed some sunglasses on them so they would not be seen until I was out of sight.

I grabbed everything I needed and was about to leave via the window like last time when I heard footsteps outside my room.

I froze not making a single sound. The footsteps came closer and closer. With each step I gripped the window tighter and tighter.

Please God, I know I've not been good, but please don't let them find out right now!

It seems like God was on my side today. I heard the footsteps slowly leave and walk past my door. I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding and turned back to the window following the same route I used last time to escape.

Once I dropped my body safely on the other side of the huge metal gate, I removed my sunglasses and hopped onto the motorcycle I parked outside the gates before hand so it took less time to get there.

I'd really thought about this plan, so I'd already hacked some documents which showed me which of his many houses Richard was staying in right now. Now all I had to do was not get caught by the guards and give him the suprise of his life.

I made my way to the location. I know for a fact that both Vanessa and Adrian were not in the house at this very moment in time so I didn't need to worry about them.

I parked my bike out of view of the guards and stealthily made my way towards the side entrance. Getting my phone out of my pocket, I quickly disable the cameras and moved in closer, only to see that there's two guards on duty outside the entrance.

They don't look the brightest. Right now from what I could hear, they were having a very passionate conversation about the meaning of life.

Seeing that they're distracted, I run as fast as I can, as close as I can to the entrance. I'm now only a few meters away from them around the corner behind a wall. Breathing heavily, I press my body against it, thinking of a way to avert their attention so I can slip past.

I didn't have to think much, I instantly came up with a plan on the spot. Beside me, I could see some tiny stones, littered all across the ground.

Picking one up, I smirked and looked towards the path I had just come from. Narrowing my eyes, I shot my hand forward releasing the stone.

I heard it smack into a tree and bounce off, creating a sound loud enough to get the guards attention. They tensed up, guns up, squinting into the forest trying to see who was there.

As I thought, they abandoned their posts. I smirked, watching them become alert and investigate the sound. Rolling my eyes, I walked in through the entrance unnoticed.

It's really that easy huh. All these mafia men sure need to upgrade their security.

I'm surprised they don't get more people breaking in like this.

Once I was inside, it was quite simple to navigate and find my way through the house without alerting anyone or seeming suspicious. Probably because everyone is either sleeping or having their own conversation, too distracted to care about the strange girl literally walking in front of them.

I'mma have a word with Richard about this. I mean, what if I was a threat. They'd all be dead in a second. I swear the security wasn't this bad last time I was here.

I made my way to the fourth level were his office was situated. Peeking around the corner I could see five guards guarding the door.

Shit.

Ok now I'm pissed.

I hid back around the corner calculating my next move. I heard voices of the guards laughing and then some footsteps nearing their way towards me. It sounded like only one person so that was a relief.

Whoever he was, I instantly grabbed him, bringing one hand to his mouth making sure he doesn't make a sound. The other pressing a knife to his neck, ready to slit it if he does make any sound.

He paled and froze staring into my eyes, probably recognising me to be the white wolf. As I said I do have quite the reputation.

I glared at him as he started shaking, whimpering in fear. To shut him up I pressed the knife deeper into his neck till I could see blood oozing out of the fresh cut. I brought my head closer to his neck and whispered into his ear.

"Listen here buddy, what you're gonna do is call out to your friends. Tell them the boss ended their shift early and wants them to get some rest. Make sure to tell them not to wait up for the replacements. I'm really not in the mood to kill anyone today, but I can always make arrangements to do so, so don't test me, now go." I pushed him forward and he gulped, going closer towards the rest of the guards telling them the message.

I watched as the guards agreed, no questions asked and left in the opposite direction a few minutes later. I peeked my head around the corner, no guards in sight.

I stepped out of hiding and reached Richards door, shoving it open with a loud bang, successfully scaring him, causing him to scream like a little girl.

He saw it was me and glared, I just smirked at him as he rolled his eyes and closed the door sitting in the seat in front of his desk.

"White wolf. Always a pleasure, what brings you here and where are my guards?" Richard asked eyebrow raised. I laughed slightly and leaned forward.

"Now now Richard, the pleasures all mine. And about your guards you should really invest in some more professionally trained individuals. If you want I can give you some contacts. Anyone could break in with the security you've installed. I thought you were better than this old man."

I sighed showing I was deeply disappointed and he looked at me agreeingly

"Yeah, I have thought about that. I'll be sure to look into your contacts. However I'm sure you haven't come all the way hear to talk about my security so why are you here?"

My mood instantly changes, and I became serious. I glare at him causing him to rub the back of his neck and gulp, confused and quite frankly scared for his life right now.

As he should be.

"You know there's a rumour going around. Word is that Vanessa is marrying Alaric Neumann." I look deeply in his eyes and he tensed slightly. "An arranged marriage."

"Now the Richard I know is deeply against arranged marriages, so let me ask you Richard, excuse my language, but what the fuck were you thinking old man." I give him my best glare whilst he held his face in his hands.

"Shit, I didn't want you to find out like this, you're like a daughter to me." He seems regretful and full of guilt.

"What's going on Rich?" I spoke slightly calmer than before. He sighed lifting his face out of his hands and dragging his hand through his hair.

"It all started last year, a week before the mafia ball. It was our turn to hold it this year and I went to the venue after managing the mafia all day. I checked to make sure everything was in order and once I was satisfied left on my way home."

"On the way we got attacked. I didn't have much guards with me so we were severely outnumbered. All I remember was seeing all my guards fall around me one by one. We put up a good fight but that wasn't enough.

Soon my ammo ran out and I was forced to use my fists. I remember knocking out a few of the attackers before I was shot in my leg. I collapsed onto the floor, losing a lot of blood.

I could feel my vision start to go blurry, black spots clouding my sight. The last thing I saw was a figure standing in front of me before I passed out."

"Next thing you know, I was awake in my bed. It was like nothing had happened. I would have thought it was all a dream if it wasn't for the bandage on my leg and note on my bedside table."

"The note had one sentence on it. Enjoy my destruction in German. At first I was confused as to what it implied. That was until I went downstairs and saw my daughter crying.

I quickly went to her to console her and ask her what was wrong, but all I got was her screaming at me telling me how much she hated me. I was shocked and confused when she left running out the door.

I decided to ask my son if he knew anything about her outburst. Figuring he would probably be in my office, I went there. When I saw him, he was reading something. A letter. His face becoming more and more angry by the second."

"When I went up to him to ask him what it was about, he blew up on me. Saying something along the lines of "how could you.." and "you're supposed to be our father". I was too shocked to say anything and he left not before telling me how much he hated me."

"I haven't spoken to him since. He just simply ignores me. They both do. At this point I was hurt and very confused. I sat on my desk chair just thinking everything through. The letter Adrian was reading was right in front of me. I decided to read it."

"I was not prepared for what I read. It was a marriage contract for my daughter. To marry Alaric. As you know, a marriage contract cannot be broken once signed unless one of the individuals involved in the settlement were to die.

What shocked me the most was that my signature was at the bottom of the page. That's when I lost it. I trashed my office, and checked the cameras for any break ins.

But there was nothing.

Nothing I could do. Now that the contract had been signed we couldn't go back on it in case of war. For the first week leading up to the ball I tried to do everything in my power to somehow abolish the contract and this marriage. But I had no evidence.

I know I didn't sign that contract. But how was I to explain that to everyone else without any evidence. It was a lost cause."

"I met up with Alaric a few days after. He's an egotistical piece of shit that boy is. He doesn't even deserve to be called a man. He's snooty, rude. I instantly hated him. This along with how closed off he is with certain matters made me become suspicious of him.

The more I spent time with him the more my suspicion grew. I decided to have a private conversation with him.

Let's just say the contents of the conversation caused both of us to have some sort of a brawl. Resulting in both of us injured and holding a gun to each others heads.

I was going to do it. Shoot him. But that sly bastard had other plans. I felt a sharp pain at the back of my head and I was out like a light.

I woke up in the hospital. Alone. The nurse had said I had been out for a few days and the ball was actually today, in a few hours. I cleared myself in the hospital and called some guards and got dressed to go to the ball."

"Upon arriving, most of the guests were there having fun. But there was only one person I needed to see. Alaric. I went to the back, about to notify my most trustworthy head guard to keep an eye out for him when I saw him, Alaric, there waiting for me.

My most trusted guard laying next to him in a pool of his own blood.

I was beyond angry. This good for nothing motherfucker was ruining everything good I had in my life. I was ready to fight him then and there but once again, he had some tricks up his sleeves.

2 of his guards were on either side of me. Grabbing hold of me. The red beam of a sniper aimed at my forehead. Alaric came closer, getting something out of his pocket. A syringe.

His men held me down as he injected some sort of substance in my arm and left. I dropped to the floor not being able to move. My breathing ragged, I thought it was the end. That I was going to die."

"That was until I heard some feedback in my ear, from what looked to be some sort of listening device, similar to one we use to communicate with each other on missions. That's when I heard it.

His voice.

Ordering me to stand up. To my surprise I did. But it wasn't me. I couldn't control my body. The next instruction came.

Go to the Hall.

And I did. My legs moved themselves to the front of the Hall. I was now standing in front of all the guests who were looking at me, waiting for what I had to say.

Just as I was about to open my mouth and warn everyone of what was happening, the device gave me more instructions. This time it was my mouth that spoke without my consent."

"Each word that came out my mouth, I regretted. Each word felt like someone was stabbing me over and over again in the heart.

I had announced my daughter's wedding.

The look of betrayal on her face is one I'll never forget. The pain in her eyes. What surprised me is that the Italian Mafias son Matteo also had the same pain in his eyes as my daughter.

So much so that a fight broke out between us, with Alaric commanding me, I partook in attacking him. I never wanted to, but I couldn't stop."

"To this day we have been on wary terms with the Italians. We don't do any meetings anymore or business. I still don't know why Matteo was so upset, but I'm thinking he has a thing for my daughter, which I will kill him for if he even lays a hand on her.

But. All else aside, he is a good kid. One that I would have wanted my daughter to marry." He sighed as he finished his side of the story.

Regret. Guilt. Sorrow. I could see it all on his face. He inhaled sharply before going emotionless, staring at me waiting for my reaction.

"If I may ask, what are you're plans with Alaric, are you intending on getting your revenge?" I asked him.

"Revenge is the only thing that's been on my mind lately. I want to see him suffer, but that bastard has my parents protection. He's sucking up to them and my father treats him like his own son." He shook his head scoffing.

"He's made my own parents turn against me. They don't let me or any of my men near him. I was going to call you in this week actually to help me take him out." He looked at me seriously.

"Well then luck is on your side." I smirked and he looked at me puzzled.

I got my phone out of my pocket and opened a live camera footage. The footage showed Alaric having dinner and then getting up going to his bedroom.

"Alaric actually phoned me a few days ago. Are you aware of Alaric's intentions regarding your son?" He shook his head no and I started to explain.

"Alaric phoned me, looking for me to assassinate your son, Adrian. He gave me until the end of the week which is today actually to call him back, to see if I would help him or not.

After the call, I immediately hacked into some files and kept a track of his schedule and where he's been this week."

"By just one press of a button," I swiped through the phone and got out an app I had designed, a red button straight in the centre. "I can have him gone."Richard looked shocked and impressed, grinning widely.

"But the thing is, if we use this button now and finish him, you won't have the same satisfaction as you would have with revenge, and I've got a few tricks up my sleeve, so I'm asking you Richard, what is it to be. Revenge. Or the easy way out."

He smirked and I already knew his answer. "The mafia never takes the easy way out." He spoke causing us both to chuckle and smirk psychotically.

"Well, time for a little fun. Here's the plan....."

The time. 23:58. Perfect.

The contact number in front of me. I pressed the call button waiting for the person on the other end to pick up. They picked up on the first ring, almost as if they were patiently waiting on the other end for this very call.

"Aah white wolf, I almost thought you weren't going to call me."

"Don't underestimate me Neumann." I answered seriously.

"I would never dream to. So, have you come to your senses and made a decision." He asked. His cold voice slightly hopeful.

I waited a bit before my reply. I could almost feel how annoyed and tense he was on the other side. The suspense was killing him.

"I'm in."
