The room was a DISASTER.

The safe door was wide open with documents spewed all over the floor. The furniture was overturned, even the dress I wore yesterday was ripped into pieces and was thrown in multiple directions.

There were glass shards near the door and the worst case out of all was laying beside me.

Is that a wine stain?

There were wine stains on Edward's white shirt and not to mention the drawings on his face.

Is that a flying panda or a bird?

How did this happen?

A few hours ago...

"I left the love of my life back home. I don't know what he's up to without me" Angelica cried out in a heartbroken voice while holding her chest.

Having emptied all three bottles of the wine she was no longer in a stable state.

Not much different from her drinking habits in her previous life, Angelica continued talking her mind without any restraint.

Angelica was on the bed lying with her head hanging from the side near Edward's foot. She flailed her hands in the air trying to catch the tiny bird that was flying in front of her.

It was a ruby-throated hummingbird with iridescent feathers.

"What a beautiful birdie..."

The bird was colorful enough to attract the attention of the drunk Angelica. She was laughing to her heart's content trying to catch it as if she was a child playing a game. The bird kept evading her touch by hovering over her face and flying backward.

"Stop moving!" When she finally managed to catch the bird, it slipped through her fingers as if it was an illusion.

Angelica suddenly remembered the encyclopedia books she was reading to Edward. It had information about a wide collection of small animals and birds.

"I found the spy by the way. I identified him within two days. Two... that was all the time I needed"

"The dude with a mole is a 'mole'. The irony........ HAHA"

"That reminds me....." She smirked.

"If Alice fell down the rabbit hole and went to wonderland, then Angelica fell down the manhole and went to slaughter land.....HAHAHA Or was it pushed.....I can't remember "

"ribbit ribbit........no that's a frog. I want a rabbit" She held her head with her hands and ruffled her hair.

Thinking of something she slowly got up and stared into space with unfocused eyes.

"What am I doing?"

Angelica got on all fours and tried to stand on top of the bed, only to slip on a wine bottle and fall down. But a single slip was not enough to stop her.

After a few failed attempts she managed to stand on her feet and struck a victory pose.

"Where is my mike? What kind of a Karaoke place doesn't have a mike?" She started searching for a mike thinking she was in a Karaoke bar.

She felt something near her leg and looked down to see what it was.

"Who is this? Did you pass out from a little drinking? What are you a baby?"

It was Edward in the same position he has always been. Unconscious and unresponsive.

Thinking he was one of her friends from college she tried to wake him up by kicking him on the stomach. But it was no use.

"I know you. You...... You're Frosty bites. The meanie from Oreo" She felt a spark of memory returning.

"Did you drink this?" She picked up the nearest wine bottle and turned it upside down to check its contents. Only to have the residual wine spill on top of him.

"Heyyyyy....this is my mike. Why did you drink from my mike you dingus" Angelica kicked Edward one last time before getting down from the bed. She picked up the dress she had thrown earlier and started ripping it to pieces.

Angelica threw away the small pieces in all directions and used the biggest strip to tie Edward's hands.

"Better safe than sorry" Smiled the drunkard satisfied with her handiwork

"Now... let the singing begin" And she started singing random songs from the top of her head.

~ If I were a boy, even just for a day.....

I'd roll outta bed in mornin' ~

She continued singing till her throat started to dry up.

"This last one is for you husband"

~ Honey I rose up from the dead I do it all the time...

I got a list of names and Eddie yours is in my underlined.......

Oh! Look what you made me do ~

A few minutes later, after the karaoke session was over,

"I'm thirsty..." Angelica pouted as she plopped on the bed.

She was drained of every bit of energy she had.

The little bird appeared again and started encircling Angelica, drawing her attention to the glass of milk near the door.

Feeling thirsty, she mustered up the energy she had left and walked towards the door.

*thud*

*bang*

*crash*

It was a miracle that Angelica managed to make it to the door in one piece, having trampled on anything and everything in her way. Including the glass of milk, she was about to fetch. Even the little bird sighed from looking at her pitiful sight.

It was only until this point that Angelica was able to remember from her previous night's endeavors. Everything from then on was blacked out.

No matter how much she tried she couldn't recover anything.

"Damn it"

I reached for the pillow behind me and pressed my face into it.

"HRRRR" I screamed as hard as I could.

No, now is not the time to be doing this. I have a mess to clean.

Putting down the pillow I got down from the bed and took another look at the situation.

"OK. First the safe and furniture, then the clothes and lastly the bottles" I advised myself tapping on my fast-beating heart.

I gathered all the documents without sorting them and lumped them together in a hurry. I didn't care if the pages got wrinkled or torn in the edges. Since the damage was already done, I might as well let it be.

I'm sort of relieved to think that I won't be anywhere near the vicinity when Edward opens the safe.

After collecting all the papers and arranging the knocked-out furniture, next was the dress that was in pieces. I put the documents inside the safe and started collecting the pieces.

They were scattered everywhere. There were pieces of the dress on top of the blank portrait, under the bed, on the side table, and even tied around Edward's wrists.

"Chop chop, Angelica. You don't have all day"

I was running around the room gathering the dress pieces. The trickiest one was the knot on Edward's wrist which only came off after I used my teeth.

"One two three bottles. One two... where is the third cork?"

Meanwhile, there was another knock on the door.

"WAIT A MINUTE" I yelled, in a state close to losing my sanity.

"Here it is" I found the last cork under the side table.

In a hurry, I shoved the bottles along with half of the dress in the locker and stuffed the rest of the pieces in the side table's cabinet.

'I can't clean the smashed glass, so I'll just say that I accidentally dropped it'

"Come in" Standing in front of the bed after successfully clearing everything, I called in Herbie with a relaxed voice.

At that moment, I remembered the drawing on Edward's face and the wine stains on his shirt.

"Pardon my intrusion madam" Herbie opened the door and entered the room.
