"you've been in bed for the past three days," sage rested her head against ivy's door frame, "we've barely seen you, have you even been eating?"

"yeah," ivy muttered, furrowing her eyebrows, "i'm fine." she shrugged her shoulders, pressing play on the tv.

sage dragged her feet across the floor, flopping her body on the edge of ivy's bed and gazed over at her, "look, i'm sorry about the other day, you're right, i shouldn't be thinking i know the in's and out's of you and simon. i didn't mean to upset you."

"it's fine." ivy murmured, still staring up at the tv, "maybe i was a bit dramatic." she huffed.

"no, you weren't. you shouldn't have to be forced to be around him if you don't want to be and -"

"it's not that i don't want to be, sage," ivy turned to look at her friend, sage glaring at the prominent dark circles under her eyes, "it's just that it's messing with my feelings."

a frown formed on sage's lips, "have you spoke to him, about the other night?"

ivy quickly shook her head in response, "erm," she grabbed her phone from the side, "he messaged me, but i don't know how to reply or even if i want to." she sighed, peering at the message he sent her two days ago.

from simon can we talk?

"what does it say?" sage questioned. ivy passed her the phone and sage slowly brought her head up to look at her, "well what would you talk about."

"i don't know, i guess about what happened. but it was just a silly mistake, we'd been drinking and i guess being alone together sparked something, i don't know." she groaned, throwing her hands over her face.

"well," sage pulled ivy's wrist away from her face, "come out for a drink with us tonight?"

"who's us?"

"me, es, some of the lads - not simon though, i think some of them have tried to ask you, but you've been ignoring everyone."

ivy chucked her head backwards into the cushions, "oh, i don't know." she mumbled.

"please, don't make me get esme in here to force you as well." sage smirked.

"but -"

"no 'buts'," she made air quotes, "you're coming whether you like it or not, now get ready! you've got a couple of hours."

"alright, alright." letting out an elongated sigh, ivy slowly pulled her body up against the headboard, "i'll get ready."

"yay!" sage grinned, running out of ivy's room to get ready herself.

it took ivy some time to get ready, debating with herself as to whether she even wanted to leave the flat. the message from simon replaying in her mind, part of her wanted to reply, she just didn't know what with. she was aware that whatever happened between them was a stupid mistake, but in the moment they could barely keep their hands off one another, he was addictive and she yearned for more.

clasping her heels around her ankles, she stood up unsteadily and glanced at her appearance in the full length mirror. no matter how much makeup she applied, she still appeared exhausted, thinking about the other night drained the life out of her, yet it constantly replayed in her mind.

pulling her feet into the living room, she spotted her two friends patiently waiting for her on the sofa, "do i look okay?" ivy sighed.

"yes, you took your time!" esme giggled, "i'm gonna book an uber now."

"okay," ivy exhaled in response, perching herself at the dining table, "we meeting them there?"

"yeah." sage nodded her head slowly, gazing at ivy rest her elbows on the table in front of her, "you just need a drink, ivy."

"last time i had a drink i fucked my ex boyfriend." ivy smirked, shaking her head.

"well," esme cocked her head, laughing, "you won't be seeing him tonight so you'll be fine."

arriving at the bar, the three girls walked inside and instantly spotted the guys sat at the table. ivy's eyes flickered over the table to the figures smiling and waving at them, cal, ethan and harry. she slid herself in beside ethan and opposite cal, esme on the other side of ethan and sage in between cal and harry.

"thought you'd fucked off and ghosted us again." ethan chuckled, nudging ivy's arm with his elbow.

"yeah, you've been ignoring everyone." cal raised his eyebrows, bringing his pint up to his lips.

"yeah," ivy nodded her head slowly, wiping her palms along her jeans, "sorry, just had a shit few days."

"what happened?" cal cocked his head.

"oh, nothing." ivy shook her head, not wanting to explain the immense euphoria she experienced with her ex boyfriend that quickly faded away, "just one of those weeks." hesitating, she glanced over at sage softly smiling at her which quickly calmed her nerves.

"well," cal slammed his hands on the table, "i'm gonna get you three a drink and some shots." he pointed to the girls, attempting to take their orders.

whilst the group have a miniature conversation, ivy's attention turns to the bartender carrying over drinks and many shots. after thanking them, the girls grabbed their drinks and stare at the twelve shots in front of them.

after downing their shots of sambuca, they all began to have their own conversations and ethan instantly turned his attention to ivy, "what's actually wrong?"

"what do you mean?" she smirked, slurping her beverage through the straw.

"thought you'd fallen off the face of the earth again," he raised his eyebrows, "i have been messaging you."

"yeah i know," she sighed, "i've just not really been wanting to talk to anyone." she shrugged her shoulders, staring down at her drink.

ethan gazed at her stirring her straw around the glass, "but why?"

"stop being so nosey." ivy giggled, turning to look at him.

"alright, alright," he threw both hands up in defence, "i'm just saying if you need someone to talk to i am here."

"i know," she nodded, a small smile forming on her lips, "things just got a little bit complicated this week, but i'm sure it'll be fine."

"ivy," esme leaned over the table, yelling to her friend, "i want to see you absolutely wasted tonight!" she pointed to her.

"what? why?" she laughed, staring at her with a confused expression.

"you've had a shitty week, the least we can do is get you absolutely fucked." a smug expression swept across esme's face.

"whatever." ivy shook her head in response, unable to hold back her laughter, "i'm not getting fucked on my own though."

"nah, you won't be." cal grinned.

"alright," ivy shrugged, "fine then." she simpered.

drinks and shots flowed constantly around the table, they knew that they had already spent a hefty amount of money and were ready to spend even more. ivy instantly felt the effect of the alcohol having barely eaten all day and she regretted it, but luckily everyone was catching up to that same level. the group were creating a ruckus, like a group of eighteen year olds who had gone out drinking for the first time, but it was a laugh.

"you lot," ethan yelled, slamming his glass against the table, "we should just head back to mine after here." he suggested.

"really?" ivy furrowed her eyebrows, bringing her drink to her lips.

"yeah, fuck it!" he exclaimed, "got loads to drink at mine too."

"sound lad!" cal grinned.

time quickly progressed, hitting 12am and they feared they were going to get kicked out. the bouncers and workers constantly flashed the group with dirty looks, unimpressed by their actions, but they were bringing in so much money with the copious amounts of alcohol - until ivy tripped over on her way to the toilet.

"fucking hell!" ivy exclaimed, falling into fits of laughter. the whole group cackled, pointing to her rather than helping her up, they were in hysterics. ivy was adamant she had abs after how much she was laughing out of embarrassment from face planting the floor. the entire bar glared at them, they had never served such a loud group of people.

two bouncers stormed over, shaking their heads at the group, "i think you lot have had enough." one of them muttered.

"yeah, alright, alright." harry rolled his eyes, everyone downed the rest of their drinks and trudged out of the bar, slightly embarrassed by what had happened - a group of grown adults getting kicked out for causing too much commotion.

they arrived to ethan's flat, intoxicated, giggly and woozy; causing an uproar within five minutes of being there. ivy drunkenly sprawled her body out on ethan's sofa, gazing up at the ceiling as she carelessly threw her jacket off her shoulders. "wow," she sat up, glancing over to everyone pouring drinks, "i'm actually peppered."

everyone chuckled at her response, "yeah lass, here's another." cal handed her a glass of god-know's what and she instantly took a sip of it.

"is this malibu and coke?" she pointed to the glass and cal simply nodded, walking back over to the kitchen whilst ethan sat himself beside her.

"you've got to tell me what's going on with you now?" he raised his eyebrows.

huffing in response, she took a deep breath in, "oh, i don't know, it's not deep."

"you know," he stared at her, "i can tell when it's about simon."

"what do you mean?" she laughed, shaking her head at him.

"honestly," he shrugged his shoulders, resting his back into the pillows, "i'm just a mind reader ivy." ethan swiftly turned his body to look at everyone else gathered in the kitchen, "ay, you lot! i'm a mind reader!" he shouted, appearing proud of himself.

"yeah, nice one ethan." cal stared at him with a confused expression and turned back to everyone else.

"so, anyways," ethan turned his attention back to ivy, "you think i wouldn't be able to tell? mate, i was one of the people trying to hold you and him together, when you had an issue about him you always came to me or tobi." he rambled.

nodding her head slowly, she raised her eyebrows, "you do have a point." she slurred, a smirk forming on her lips. in that moment, she knew she had been caught out. ethan nudged her with his elbow, expecting her to go on and tell him what had happened, "you'll just tell me i'm an idiot."

"i won't." he vigorously shook his head at her.

"fine," she rolled her eyes at him, "we fucked and now i think he wants to talk about it." muttering under her breath, she looked down to her knees.

"you did what?" he exclaimed.

"fucking hell, shut up." ivy furrowed her eyebrows, "he's messaged me asking to talk and i haven't replied."

"ah, shit."

"yeah." exhaling, she took a large gulp of the drink in front of her that was definitely just pure alcohol with a dash of coke. a shiver ran down her spine from the burning sensation, slowly leaning forwards to place it back down on the coffee table. and just when she got over the bitter taste of the malibu, harry excitedly brought shots over, "fucking hell." she laughed, taking the shot from his finger tips.

sighing, she backed the shot of sambuca, choking slightly as cal connected to his speaker and music instantly blasted through the flat. everyone gathered around the coffee table with drinks in hand, "let's play a game." sage suggested.

"like what?" harry furrowed his eyebrows.

the group pondered for a moment, until esme shouted, "never have i ever!"

"that's just baiting people out." ivy laughed.

"yeah, that's funny." esme shrugged her shoulders, leaning backwards into the chair.

after they all agreed, they went around in a circle asking one another questions. "let's start it off easy," cal folded his arms over his chest, "never have i ever sucked a guy off."

the three girls huffed, taking a sip of their drinks, "that wasn't fair cal." esme muttered.

"you never know," he shrugged his shoulders, "harry is a bit gay sometimes."

"alright," esme quickly changed the subject giggling, "never have i ever had sex in a public place." ivy, cal and ethan all taking a sip, "where the fuck have you done it in public, ivy?"

"erm," her cheeks burned red, "in a car."

"interesting," ethan nodded his head, "never have i ever had a finger in my arse."

"oh fuck off." harry yelled, taking a sip of his drinks, the girls glaring at one another with disgusted expressions.

"right," ivy smirked, "never have i ever fucked someone who's in this room." knowing she would not have to drink for this one. her and cal gazed at ethan, esme, sage and harry all take a drink, throwing her unbalanced body into the cushions behind her.

"hmm," harry "oh i don't know, never have i ever sent nudes."

"what?" cal cackled, reaching for his drink, "mate are you sixteen."

"shut up. i couldn't think of one." he shook his head as everyone took a sip of their drink.

"well," sage took a deep breath in, "never have i ever had sex with my ex."

ivy's eyes widened in response, glaring at sage with a shocked expression, slowly taking a sip of her drink as everyone's attention turned to her. she could not believe that sage would say such a thing, had she forgotten what had happened?

cal raised an eyebrow, "wait, what ex?"

"she only has one ex you fucking idiot." harry turned his attention to cal.

"oh." cal suddenly came to the realisation, "you fucked simon."

"well done, freezy." ivy mocked, "you deserve a prize."

"fuck!" sage exclaimed, "i wasn't trying to bait you out ivy, oh fuck!" she threw her hands to her head, "i completely didn't realise, i'm so sorry."

"it's fine." ivy mumbled, looking down at her drink, "i'm gonna head to the toilet." she slowly stood up and her legs wobbled beneath her as she placed her drink down. carefully spinning round, she tried to squeeze between the sofa and harry, but instead tripped straight over his chair leg, going flying across the room, "oh god." she cackled, her body burning from embarrassment.

everyone turned to laugh at her, simon was right earlier in the week, she was definitely clumsy when she was drunk. scrambling to the floor, her cheeks ached from the laughter and quickly found the toilet. breathlessly slamming the door behind her, she locked it and sat on the toilet for some time, finding herself glaring at the message from simon. the temptation to reply took over her.

to simon nothig to tal k about it ws a mistake

she quickly stood up and shoved her phone into her pocket and glanced at her reflection in the mirror, she was definitely a drunk mess - it was obvious. her drunk message to her ex boyfriend was enough to prove that.

stumbling out of the bathroom, cal was there to catch her in his arms, "oh, fuck, sorry." she giggled, resting her head into his chest, extremely giggly.

"you're lucky i was stood out here, would've gone straight into the wall." he shook his head, pulling her body backwards by her shoulders, his eyes flickering up and down her body, "not seen you this drunk in a while." he smirked.

"well duh," she tittered, "you've not seen me in two years."

suddenly, her phone vibrated in her back pocket, sighing, she steadily reached for it. ivy glanced down at it, squinting her eyes at the message due to her hazy vision.

from simon are you drunk?

she humphed at the message before her, rolling her eyes and slid her phone into her back pocket.

"ah, simon." cal raised his eyebrows, folding his arms over his chest, "what's he saying?"

"dunno," she slurred, beginning to walk away, "he just wants to talk." she muttered. cal instantly grabbed her by the shoulder, pulling her back over to him, "cal, what are you -". the slender boy instantly smashed his lips against ivy's and she could not comprehend why, deciding to push his body away, "what the fuck are you doing?" she yelled.

"i - fuck i'm sorry." he quickly shook his head, visibly disappointed in himself, "i shouldn't have done -"

"no, cal, you shouldn't," ivy harshly wiped her lips, "fucking hell, do you not have respect for anyone? what happened to you being close to simon?" whatever had happened nearly sent her into sobriety, she was furious.

"i don't know what i was thinking." he mumbled, staring down at the floor.

"whatever," she bit back, "i'm going home."

stumbling back into the kitchen, her chest rose and fell heavily. it was clear how infuriated she was, all of her friends staring at her as she gathered her things.

"ivy, where are you -"

"home, es, i'm going home." taking a deep breath in, she attempted to book an uber back to her flat, but her coordination was completely off.

"hey, what's up?" ethan gazed up at ivy, cocking his head.

shakily throwing her jacket over her body, she shook her head, "all i've got to say is someone needs to tell cal to have a little more respect for people." she hissed, walking towards the front door, "i've had a good night, thanks guys, but i've had enough."
