Celine Elloise Dufort:
'Elle, please tell me that you're not letting this slide!?' Leonardo asks as he storms into my room.
I simply stare at him as he strides over to me, grabbing me by my shoulders and looking me in the eyes.
'She has no choice.' Rio groans as he follows his cousin into my room.
'I have a choice. I would much rather stay with the girls than with you.' I sneer before I continue to pack my shit.
To be honest, Rio didn't really give me choice, but I'm happy he didn't. I don't want to stay here with them. It's not safe and I want to stay as far away from him as possible.
'Trust me Cel, you don't. You have to take care of Davis. That's the only reason you're going with them.' He states, smirking like the prick he is.
'I want to stay with Neveah!' Leon shouts, grasping all the attention again. 'It's not safe.' Rio and I say at the same time.
Leon knows it's not, but he doesn't care about that right now. He only cares about the fact that he won't be able to stay close to his girl for a while.
'I don't care!' He shouts, stepping away from us. I sigh and continue throwing my stuff in the suitcase Marco gave me. 'Please tell him that he needs to stop behaving like a little kid?' Rio jokes, making me roll my eyes at him.
'Tell him yourself.' 'You know I'm right here, right?' We stare at Leon and continue as if nothing happened.
'Don't tell me you two are still not talking to each other?' Leon asks, stepping in front of me. I ignore him and continue to pack my stuff. 'It's not my problem that she's still angry with me over something so ridiculous.'
'Ridiculous?'
'Yes, you're acting as if I-' 'You lied to me. You said you did not hear from Amir at all, but he sent those invitations and you didn't tell me!' I sneer, walking up to him. He sighs deeply and looks at Leon.
'Don't look at him, look at me! He's not going to save your ass out of this one.' Rio's eyes turn to me, ready to consume me whole.
I like to see him fucking try.
'You should've told me. You should've let me decide if I wanted to break the contact with my best friend! You ruined that for me!' I shout at him, before turning back to my bag. 'I thought you said-' 'I was angry, I didn't mean that shit! Amir was my best friend and you fucking ruined that for me, you asshole!'
'Fine! I'm sorry!' Leon gasps for air and looks at his cousin, but all I can do is grin. If he thinks that a simple sorry will fix this, he's dumber than I thought.
'Did you just-' 'That doesn't make up for the fact that you lied Rafael.' I sneer, making him sigh deeply.
Leon is totally appalled by the fact that Rafael even said the words "I'm sorry" and to be honest, so am I, but it doesn't make up for the fact that he lied to me. He ruined my friendship with Amir because he thought he had the right to do so.
'What do you want me to do?' He asks a little worried and I wonder why. 'I want you to fix whatever is going on right now.'
'So we're all good?' I stare into his eyes and blink, not knowing what to say. 'As if you would care? You would still send me away with them, despite my answer.'
He steps closer to me, just enough so he could grab me if he wanted to, but he knows better. He knows I don't want him to touch me right now.
'What do you want me to do to make it up to you, Cel?' He asks again, desperate for an answer. 'I want you to stop making decisions for me, I'm not a child.'
'He was going to convince you to leave us.' Leon mumbles, making me turn towards him. 'What?' 'He was going to persuade you to leave us and we couldn't let that happen. We need you Cel.'
'I wouldn't have left!' They stare at me in shock.
When all of this happened, I barely knew anything about the Curzio's. All I knew is that they sold drugs and weapons across Europe. I didn't know how big they actually were, but I was grateful that they saved me. I was ready to die for them. No matter what.
'You saved me that night, remember?' They both stare at me and slowly lower their gaze to the ground. 'I could never leave you, no matter what. I owe you my life...'
'But-' 'How many times do I have to explain to you that nothing could change my mind!' I shout at Leon who shyly smiles at me.
I would give my everything for these boys, just like they would do the same for me. Like they did for me.
'You should've told me the truth instead of telling me that you didn't hear anything. Nothing would've changed.' I sigh before turning back to my suitcase.
'I truly am sorry Cel, I'll be honest to you from now on, I promise.' I nod and continue to pack.
We'll see if he'll keep that promise.
'You better, because if you ruin something for me again- je jure devant Dieu, I will hate you until the day I die.'
Leon chuckles and jumps on my bed, so I have to look him in the eyes. 'I like it when you get all angry. French sounds so sexy.'
I roll my eyes, but can't contain a little laugh escaping my mouth. 'Get out so I can finish packing.'
'I have to ask you one more thing though.' Rio mumbles, before jumping next to Leon and staring up at me. 'What is it?'
'Don't argue with Marco all the time and please don't use all your energy on Davis.' He smirks before zipping my suitcase for me.
'Maybe you should've just killed him instead of leaving him with all these injuries.' I joke knowing Rio has already made up a plan. A plan where Kai Carter Davis needs to stay alive.
'The third person to agree with me, so I say we kill him!' Leon exclaims as he jumps off of my bed. I roll my eyes and walk over to my bedroom drawer, checking if I got everything.
'We need him for later.' 'Why?' I ask as I turn to face Rio again. He sighs and jumps up from my bed as well, before he steps towards me. 'You would love to know, wouldn't you?'
I nod and look up, he's tall and smilier than usual. 'I need him to get to Hunter.' Hunter Steel... 'Was he really behind the shooting?'
'We have his right-hand man who was out there shooting, what do you think?' He smirks before wrapping his arms around me. It's shocking that he's holding me, but I let it happen.
'Okay, what happened to coldhearted Adriano?' Leon asks laughing a little. I shrug and wrap my arms around Rio, taking it all in for just a second.
The only time he ever hugged me, was when he saved me that night. When I was unable to walk because of the fear and pain rushing through me. He held me tight and told me to hold onto him so that I wasn't going to fall. It's the only time he ever hugged me.
Rio isn't a very touchy person. He hates hugging. Yet here he is, hugging me.
'Oh shut up! I put her through hell!' Rio sneers at his cousin, making me laugh. 'You sure did.' Leon mumbles, before rushing to the door.
Rio rolls his eyes and stares down at me again. 'We'll go to Athens as soon as we're done with Marcello.'
'You better hurry, otherwise I'll kill Marco.' Both men laugh, but I'm not joking. I don't think I'll be able to stay in the same house as Marco, without them, for longer than three days. 'We'll do our best!' Leon chimes, before rushing over to me and pulling me into his arms.
I take a deep breath and try to imprint this feeling in my mind. It might be the last time I ever hug him.
I know the chances are small, but that does not mean that it can't happen. We're not in Europe anymore. At least they won't be. Meaning it could be risky.
'Just promise me you'll stay safe.' I whisper against his chest, making him chuckle softly. 'Don't worry about us, we'll be fine Cel.' Rio states, making me look up into his eyes. Je prie Dieu...
'Okay, we should take you guys to the airport.' Rio sighs before rolling my suitcase to the door. Leon wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls me after him, making me laugh a little. He could easily let me fall right now, but he won't.
At least I hope he won't.
Cataleya, Brandon, and Neveah, who's seated in a wheelchair, are waiting in the hallway and stare at us.
'I see you finally made up.' Brandon sighs, pointing at Rio and me. I roll my eyes and walk over to them. 'How are you feeling?' I ask Neveah since she seems to be in a lot of pain. 'Sitting up hurts more than I thought it would.'
'That's because you thought it was a good idea to stand up.' I state, making her sigh dramatically. 'I had to make a point.' 'And I think he got it.' Leya whispers, making all of us look at Leon.
His eyes are on Neveah and Neveah only, and he looks like he's about to cry. 'Oh come on!'
'Quit with the shit, your flight leaves in thirty minutes.' Rio dictates as he looks at his watch. 'Where the fuck is Marco?'
'This fucker doesn't want to fucking walk!' We all turn towards the sound of Marco's annoying voice and gasp as he drags Kai across the floor. I literally just stitched up his legs, for Marco to just drag him like that is simply rude.
'You idiot!' I rush over to him and wrap Kai's arm around my shoulder, making him wince out of pain. Understandable, since they broke his fucking shoulder.
'Go get another wheelchair.' I demand and Brandon rushes to the storage room. 'I can walk-' 'No!' Leon, Leya, and I shout at the same time. Please tell me we have another wheelchair...
Neveah huffs out of annoyance and stares at the ground like a little child. To my surprise, Brandon comes back with another wheelchair. We lower him into the chair and he groans out of pain, yet tries to get out.
'Tie him up.' Rio demands, making me roll my eyes. Marco rushes out of the room and comes back with some tie rips so that he can tie Kai to the chair. 'Is that really necessary?'
Rio and Leon nod and smile at me like two psychopaths, before they turn to the others.
'So. Celine's in charge. You'll listen to her and do whatever she tells you to. If I hear one bad thing, I'll make sure to pay your mom a visit, Velez.' The two of them stare at each other for a while, not saying a word.
I know something is going on between them. Rio doesn't just kiss a girl and leaves it at that. He never only kissed a girl. It always ended up in them fucking. So I wonder how long it will take for him to fuck Leya. Let's just hope she'll be able to resist his attractiveness.
'Are you going to keep eye-fucking her, or can we go and catch our flight?' Neveah smirks, making Leya blush like crazy. Rio stares her dead in the eyes and takes a deep breath. It takes every muscle in his body not to hit her right now.
He knows that if he even flinches, Leon will destroy him.
'Neveah's right. We should go!' I chime, rolling Kai through the door. Leya pushes Neveah and Marco carries all our bags to the elevator.
Once we get into the car, Neveah and Leya start talking about something that happened between Neveah and Tiago. Kai stares me down, angry for some reason.
Okay, not just any reason. We're taking him with us by force. So I guess he has the right to be angry. But I don't get why he's angry at me.
I am the one who took care of his injuries. I am the one who told them to stop torturing him like he's some animal. I did suggest killing him instead, but they won't do that either.
'I don't get why Rio put you in charge.' Marco huffs from beside me. I shrug and keep my eyes on Kai. I would much rather stare at the fool who thought he could shoot one of us, than talk to Marco.
Wait... Neveah isn't one of us. Yet.
Now that the news is out about her pregnancy they have to join. I wonder if they'll actually join. I mean we all know that if Neveah doesn't want to, Tiago won't actually force her. He'll do everything in his powers to convince Rio and he will let them go since he doesn't want them in the first place.
I just hope they stay. I've grown to like them, more than I'll admit. Sure, they can be annoying as hell, especially Neveah, but I like them.
'Does it bother you so much, Marco?' I ask, still keeping my gaze on the man in front of me.
His eyes are dark, barely noticeable since he has two black eyes, and his hair is just as black as mine. He's definitely Asian, but I wonder where he's from. Kai's wiggling his fingers, making it seem like he's trying to escape or something. It's no use...
'I just don't get why.' He sighs, obviously annoyed by the fact that Rio put me in charge. I love it.
'Too bad, he just trusts Celine more.' Neveah jokes, making Marco glare her down. She simply smiles at him and turns back to Leya who is asking her a bunch of questions.
'If you want to know why, go ask Rio himself.' I state, before kicking against Kai's foot. He winces and growls before staring me in the eyes again. If he wasn't tied to his seat, he would've wrapped his hands around my throat and killed me.
'Stop trying to break free, it won't happen.' He sighs and turns to the window on his right, staring outside. There's a tattoo crawling up his neck.
It is the passion that makes one the first.
It's written in Chinese characters. So he's Chinese...
Weird... I've analyzed his body for the past twenty-four hours and I just noticed it now. It might be because I was focussing on stitching him up more, instead of taking a good look at his appearance.
He has more tattoos on his arms, but I already recognized those. Some tribal shit. It looks cool though.
'You're not getting away from this one Davis, Rio is going to fuck your shit up.' Marco grins, pinching Kai's knee. The knee that Tiago broke. 'Don't do that.'
Marco looks at me and rolls his eyes. The last thing we need right now is for Kai to go unconscious. His condition is worse than I thought and every small thing could make him faint since his injuries are extremely severe.
Since Marco won't be able to irritate me, and I told him to back off of Kai, he's turning to the girls.
I notice how his eyes are almost clung to Leya as he asks Neveah how she's feeling. For the entire drive to the airplane, he keeps his eyes on Leya. It's creepy as hell, but for some reason, she doesn't detect it.
When we finally get to the airfield, everyone is eager to get out of the car. It wasn't a long drive but still. Marco carries Neveah to the plane and watches as Leya and I struggle to get Kai into the vehicle as well.
Leya doesn't want to help at all, but she does anyway. She's probably afraid that I'll snitch on her again, which I completely understand.
As soon as we get into the plane, Leya moves to the other side, taking a seat next to Neveah so they can sleep. Not that Neveah wants to sleep, but she has to fall asleep at some point. It's a fifteen-hour flight.
Marco looks at me, waiting for me to place the injured guy hanging on my shoulder. He wants to sit next to him, just so he won't pull anything. I know Kai won't do anything, he's too exhausted to do anything.
I place him close to the seat that I'll be sitting in, just so Marco won't get his way. I know that he'll annoy or hurt Kai if he gets too close and I'm going to be the one who has to fix him up again.
I'm already exhausted as it is, I don't need another reason to stay up late at night.
'Wake me up when we get there.' I sigh, slowly getting comfortable in the leather seat. Marco groans and takes a seat somewhere else. I don't fucking know or care where he is, as long as he leaves me alone.
It takes me a few minutes to fall asleep, but the moment I do, I feel like I'm in heaven. I haven't slept in the past thirty-six hours because I either had to take care of Neveah or Kai.
After a few hours of sleep, I decide to wake up. I can feel the plane going lower than before and slowly open my eyes. I have to check on Neveah and Kai anyways and if we're almost there, I might as well wake up.
Everyone else is asleep. Everyone except Kai. His eyes are glued to me and I wonder if he stared at me the whole time.
'How are you feeling?' He doesn't answer me and continues to glare at me. It's creepy and annoying, making me want to hit him. But I don't. I don't because that would mean I have to take care of him again.
'Stop staring at me like that and answer my question.' I sneer, slowly glancing at the girls who seem to be deeply asleep. They're all curled up together, like sisters.
'Why are you helping me?' He whispers softly. It's barely audible because of all the noises of the plane, but I hear him. 'Because Rio told me to.' I answer, hoping that he'll answer my questions in return.
He simply keeps his eyes on me and raises an eyebrow. 'Do you need anything?' I ask, waiting for him to fucking respond. But he doesn't. He keeps watching me like the creep he is.
'Look, I'm not going to hurt you but if you-' 'Why not?' He interferes, making me take a deep breath before I explode.
This dude seems to have his own agenda. 'Because then I would have to stitch you up again and I don't have the time for that.'
'So you're just keeping me alive because Curzio told you to?' I simply nod, because lying doesn't feel right. 'Everyone in here wants you dead, but we won't kill you. Rio will kill us if we do.'
He nods, taking in all the information as if it will help him. 'But trust me, you would much rather be dead. I don't know what Rio has planned for you exactly, but it's going to be painful.'
Kai stares at me, not knowing what to say. He's afraid. I can see it in his eyes. As he should be...
He knows what Rio's capable of. He knows that if he'll try anything he'll be dead in a heartbeat, regardless of Rio's desire to keep him alive.
'From one Asian to another, you can't-' 'I'm going to stop you right there, I'm not helping you since I don't owe you anything.' I smirk at him. His attempt to convince me to do anything won't work.
I'm loyal to the Curzio's and I will stay loyal to them until the day I die. Nothing can change that.
'So what is it you owe Curzio?' He has some fucking nerve to ask me these questions. 'None of your business.' Connard.
'Miss Dufort.' I turn to the sweet voice to my right and smile at the lady in black. She's one of the flight attendants Rio hired.
I just know he only hired her because of her looks. She's absolutely stunning, with long dark hair and eyes that look straight out of a cartoon. He hired her to fuck her and I think they already did...
'Yes?' She smiles at me and points at the cockpit. 'The pilot wanted me to say that we'll be landing any moment now.' I nod and follow her frame back to the cockpit.
'She has a nice ass...' Kai groans, making me stare at him in awe. 'T'es dégoûtant.'
His eyes widen before he smirks at me. 'I knew you weren't American, you have a cute accent.'
'If you don't shut the-' 'I would love to tell you, ma chéri,' I almost gasp for air when I hear him say it. The words I'm trying to forget, 'I'm more of a tits guy.'
'I don't remember asking, idiot.' I scoff, before pinching his broken knee. He immediately stops smiling and grimaces at the pain rushing through his body. But I don't care. He deserves it.
After a few awkward minutes, the plane finally reaches the ground. Marco, who was drooling the entire time, wipes the corner of his mouth and jumps up, trying to act as if he was awake the entire time.
'Marco, you take Kai, Leya and I will take Veah.' He wants to oppose but I step in his way, blocking his way to Neveah. 'Remember, Rio put me in charge.' I sneer and he simply sighs.
He knows that I'm not playing around and decides to work with me for once.
'Girls, come on.' I whisper, trying to wake them up. It takes a few attempts, but they slowly wake up. Leya and I carry Neveah down the stairs and get inside the car. It's a little Jeep, probably Tiago's since it's dark gray and not black or dark blue.
'Do you want to drive?' I ask Leya since Marco is still struggling to get Kai out of the aircraft.
She stares at me for a second and looks at Neveah. 'You haven't driven in ages, why not!' Neveah sighs, trying to get comfortable in the backseat. 'Are you sure?' She asks me and I smile at her.
'Why else would I be asking?' I open the door for her and move to the other side of the car.
'What is this?' Marco asks when he finally gets to the car. 'Just get in and don't complain.'
He sighs but doesn't debate my decision for once. It's weird that he's so obliging today.
Marco opens the trunk and pushes Kai inside, closing it before he can even react, and walks over to the empty seat next to Neveah. I can't believe he just did that, but then again. I don't care.
I enter the address into the little screen and wait for it to calculate our route. It takes about thirty minutes to get there.
'The house is big enough and since I need to check on Neveah from time to time, you two won't be sharing a room in this house.' I inform the girls, looking at them to see how they'll respond.
'Can't we-' 'The boys won't be back until next week, so the house will be empty.' Marco sighs, waiting for Leya to start the car.
Even though it's dark, even though he's in the fucking backseat. He continues to stare at her with the most creepy, yet bright eyes I've ever seen. Somehow he's different with her around.
'We should go, otherwise, Kai won't survive.' Neveah chuckles as she tries to move a little. She's in pain and that's because the pills have worked out. 'When we get to the house, you'll take some pills to help with that.'
She nods and smiles at me, thanking me without words. I smile back and turn to Leya. 'Let's go.'
Leya takes a deep breath and starts the car, slowly taking off and driving onto the highway. Let's go.
