Cataleya Valentina Velez:

'Bonjour ladies!' Celine sings as she walks into the dining room. 'Goodmorning!' She smiles at me and takes a seat next to Neveah, who is seated across from me.

'How was your first night in the house?' Her accent makes it sound a little funny, but it's cute. 'I slept amazing, to be honest.'

She nods, pleased by the fact that I slept well. 'What about you, Neveah?' We both look at her and wait for her to respond.

Last night we had a little talk since she wasn't very nice to Celine, who was just being nice to us. The last thing I want is for Celine to complain to Rio and for him to harm my mother.

I kick her leg underneath the table and force a smile on my face. 'I slept fine I guess.' She mumbles, before sipping on her morning tea.

'Good to hear.' Celine smiles, pouring herself a glass of orange juice.

Just as she's about to grab a piece of bread, her phone rings. 'Merde.' Isn't that shit?

'I have to take this, but I'll see you later okay?' I nod and look at Neveah, who still doesn't want to have anything to do with Celine.

She seems like a sweet woman. If only she didn't work for a monster like Rio.

'Goodmorning ladies!' Leon exclaims, rubbing his temples before taking a seat next to Neveah.

Of course, she freezes and looks at me directly. She's panicking like crazy. Should I?

If Leon wasn't a crazy psychopath with a dangerous lifestyle, I would've left her with him, just to see if she would make a fool out of herself, but no. I can't do that right now.

'How did you sleep?' 'Fine.' Neveah mumbles again, moving her chair to the left, away from Leon.

'Are you almost finished little one?' Leon finally acknowledges me and raises his eyebrow at me. 'With?' 'Well, Rio wanted to see you in his office.' Again?

The last time I left to talk to Rio, he simply wanted to inform me about what he had planned for us. The last time I left, Neveah and Leon did... Whatever they did, and Neveah was stressed about it all day.

'Well, I'm not going-' Someone dramatically clears their throat behind me, making me shift in my chair. 'Oh, yes you are, Miss Velez.' Of-fucking-course.

Rio was standing against the frame of the door, wearing a simple black shirt and a pair of grey sweatpants. His hands were folded in front of his chest, making him look more dominant than ever. His hair was a total mess and he didn't look so well, but he still looked like a god and I still feared him a little.

Well, I didn't fear him. I just feared what he might do if I don't do as he says. So I get up and look at Neveah real quick. All she does is nod, knowing that if I don't listen to Rio, my mom will pay for the consequences.

'Follow me.' Without waiting for my reply, he walks towards the hall again. 'God..' I mumble before running after him. He's fucking fast, with those stupid long legs.

'You know, I actually wasn't done eating yet.' He sighs, before taking a seat in the big leather chair on the other side of the desk.

This office looks exactly like the one in Rome. Holy shit...

He pours himself a glass of something that looks like water and points at a closed cabinet on my right. 'Grab me some Advil.' He groans. Is he hungover?

'Can you grab me some Advil, please?' I correct him, making him look at me even more annoyed than before. 'Okay fine, jeez!' I huff before grabbing what he needs.

I feel his eyes burn to my skin when I rustle around to find those stupid pills.

'You know what. No.' I turn around, not knowing that he's standing right behind me.

He's so close that I can smell his minty breath. For someone hungover, he still looks like a hunk. If only I looked this good when I'm hungover...

'I forgot how stupid you are.' I scoff and look at him, as angry as I can, but he's scarier.

He's way taller and way more intimidating than I could ever be, so I simply fold my arms in front of my chest and glare at him.

Rio reaches out to the top shelf and grabs the Advil himself. 'You couldn't reach it anyway.' He sighs, before walking back to his seat. I watch him, carefully since he has a headache and all.

'What do you-' He raises his index finger at me, signaling that I should wait until he's finished drinking his stupid water. I hope you fucking choke... Idiot.

'I know you're thinking about murdering me, Miss Velez.' He says before wiping the edges of his mouth, 'But I wouldn't try if I were you.'

His lips curl up into a smirk and I want to hit him again.

'What do you want?' He tuts and shakes his head at me. 'That's not a way you talk to me, right, Miss Velez?'

'Quit calling me "Miss Velez"' I say, trying to imitate him the best I can, 'I have a name and I know for certain that you know it.'

'A little birdy told me you don't like it when I call you Miss Velez,' What? I try to stay calm, not breaking under his gaze. He knows exactly what he's doing and he's enjoying it, 'But if you have questions, Miss Velez, instead of going around with those interested ears, you can ask me.'

That bitch... Celine told him about the questions. How else would he know?

'As if you would answer honestly.' He shrugs before pouring himself another glass of water. 'I just might.'

The room goes silent for a moment, neither of us saying a single word. He just stares at me, analyzing my emotions, next moves, and all that has to do with my body. He's analyzing me.

'Was that it?' I ask, getting more nervous under his eyes. 'Not really.'

He gets up, walking towards me slowly. Every step he takes, I take backward, until the only way out is the door.

'Don't come closer.' He chuckles, but to my surprise, stops. 'Today you're coming with me. Get ready, we leave in ten.' What?

'Wait but-' 'Stop with the questions and make sure you and Miss North are ready in ten minutes.' He orders. God, this man has mood swings!

I quickly leave the room, leaving him to his own with his stupid fucking headache. I hope it hurts like hell, idiot.

'Neveah!' I say as I walk into the dining room again. They both look at me and Neveah seems very pleased by the fact that I interrupted their moment. 'We have to get ready, Rio will take us somewhere in ten minutes.'

She jumps up from her chair and pulls me towards our room, totally ignoring Leon. Poor boy...

I shut the door behind us and let out a big sigh, making Neveah look at me a little worried.

'That bitch snitched on us!' I shout, feeling betrayed that she did. 'Duh, what did you expect?'

Neveah walks over to the closet and starts looking for something to wear. 'Well, I don't know. I just-' 'She works for Rio, Ley? Did you truly expect her to not tell him anything?'

I knew she works for Rio, but she was so nice to us last night. And even this morning. She probably told him everything and now I can barely look him in the eyes!

'Goddamnit!' I exclaim before jumping on the bed, screaming into the soft pillows.

'Why do you think I don't trust her?' Neveah asks, holding up a pair of jeans and a black shirt. 'You don't trust her cause she was flirting with Leon and you're jealous.'

She rolls her eyes and walks over to the bathroom, closing the door behind her. 'I am not jealous!' If you say so Neveah...

I know Neveah longer than today, so I know when she's in love with someone. I've never seen her look at someone the way she looks at Leon. If only he wasn't this bad for her.

A knock on the door startles me, but I quickly run to the door and open it.

'Bonjour Cataleya, is Neveah here?' Speak of the devil... 'She's busy right now.' She sighs and tries to look inside the room, making me close the door a little more.

'Is everything okay?' I shrug looking her up and down. To think that she was a nice person, a person that I could kinda trust. 'Besides from the part where you snitched on me.'

Her eyes widen a little and she sighs deeply. 'I didn't tell him about everything, just the basics.'

'Basics?' She nods, before pushing the door open and stepping into our room. This bitch? 'Yes. All I told him was that you asked a lot of questions about me, that's it.' So she didn't tell him-

The bathroom door opens again. As soon as Neveah notices Celine, she sighs. 'What are you doing here?' Neveah asks, forcing a fake smile on her face.

'Stop the fake shit.' Celine sighs, before walking over to Neveah. 'Listen. I want to let you know that nothing is going on between Leon and me. We're just close friends. Very close friends, but I would never, and I mean never do anything with him.'

Neveah looks at me, as if I have something to do with this, and I shrug. 'He told me about what he did and I wanted to hit him.'

'He told you?!' Neveah exclaims, making me flinch at the sound of her voice. She's pissed, but not at Celine, at Leon. 'Oui. He did. If you want me to hit him, I will?'

I snort, not able to keep in my little laugh. Celine doesn't seem like someone who can do that much harm, but she's still standing, after all those years of working with dangerous people.

'Can we kill him?' Celine inhales sharply and slowly shakes her head. 'Rio will kill us, but we can make his life a living hell?' 'Let's do that!'

'You two are insane!' I laugh, before walking to the closet to grab my own clothes.

'Do you have any idea where Rio's taking us?' I hear Neveah ask. For once, she doesn't sound annoyed with Celine. Finally!

'He said something about a hotel since that's what you two are studying apparently,' She says sarcastically, 'And after that some shooting shit with Marco.'

'Shooting shit with Marco? ' I ask when I'm done changing. I decided to wear something similar to Neveah since we probably have to change at the hotel again.

'Yes, Rio thinks it's smart for you girls to be prepared.' She sighs deeply, making me smile at her. 'Well, maybe he's right?' 'Marco isn't a good shooter, I beat him once.'

I stare at Neveah, as if. As far as I know, she has never held a gun before. But then again, there seems to be a lot of things I didn't know about.

'Let's just go before he comes up here and drags us down himself.' The girls laugh, even though I'm serious as hell. 'Are you coming?'

Celine walks with us, into the hall, but turns the other way. Towards her lab. 'Nope, I have papers to attend to. But we can hang out later if you'd like?'

I look at Neveah, waiting for her to respond first since she didn't seem to like Celine that much.

'Sure, why not. As long as you don't snitch on us again.' She jokes, smiling before walking towards the front door. 'My lips are sealed!'

A giggle escapes my lips as I make my way to the front door as well.

'She's not as bad as I thought.' Neveah sighs, leaning on my arm for support. 'Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. You're right, she still works for Rio.' She nods in agreement and yawns, even though she slept more than ever in her entire life last night.

'Finally.' Apparently Rio was already waiting outside. He changed into a neat black suit, looking like a fucking god. 'Where's Tiago?' Neveah asks curiously and all Rio does is grin.

'He's not coming with us, Miss North. It's just us three since you'll be working most of the time.' The way he says it, makes my skin crawl.

'Andiamo.' Let's go? He turns around, walking towards a different car than yesterday. It's a jeep this time. A totally matt-black jeep. Wow..

'Get in, now.' He demands, before jumping in himself. Neveah and I run over to the car and jump in the back, making him smile at himself again.

If only we were strong enough to choke him with his own fucking seatbelt. It wouldn't be so hard. Right?

The whole drive to the hotel goes by in total silence. Rio doesn't even put on some music, he just drives in total silence, watching us from time to time.

The moment we enter the city, I look outside the window. Paris is a gorgeous city and I honestly never thought I would see it, but wow.

Of course, the car stops in front of one of the biggest, brightest hotels on the street. Without another word, Rio gets out of the car, not even waiting for us as he marches into the hotel. His hotel.

'Come on Leya!' Neveah has to pull me with her since I'm still staring at the big, shiny signs with "Hotel Elite" written on it.

The inside is even more breathtaking, a great mix of modern and Mediterranean. It's absolutely amazing.

'Hurry up ladies.' Rio sighs, walking towards the front desk. An older-looking man, whose name tag says: Louis, smiles at Rio and shakes his hand as old friends do.

'Rafael!' The man exclaims before pulling Rio in his arms. 'How have you been, my boy?'

They talk a little, while I look around a little more. This place is absolutely stunning. Just like at the house, there is this huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. The front desk is made out of black marble and the crystals from the chandeliers are reflecting on it.

'I want to introduce you to these two ladies.' Rio points in our direction and we awkwardly smile at the older man. 'This is Cataleya Velez and Neveah North.'

'A pleasure meeting you ladies. My name is Louis Monet, I'm in control of Hotel Elite, in Paris.' His voice is soothing, like the sound of a grandpa cheering up his grandchildren. He's about the same age as Manuela. Louis has brown eyes, silver hair, and a lot of wrinkles on his face.

'Nice meeting you, mister Monet.' I reply, smiling at the kind-looking man. Neveah also smiles and nods her head.

'You can put them wherever you want, preferably au bar.' Rio smirks. Of course, that bastard can talk French. Is there any language he can't speak!?

'Oui monsieur.' Louis nods and turns towards us again. 'Follow me, ladies.'

We do as he says, leaving Rio behind. Not that he cares, since he's already occupied with his damn phone. We follow Louis through the back entrance of the restaurant, into the changing rooms.

It smells like fresh food is being cooked right as we speak and I wish I could take a glimpse inside the kitchen because it smells heavenly.

'You ladies will stand at the bar and serve drinks to our customers.' What? That's like the lowest of the low. We've been doing that in America when we started our first year! 'Be ready in five.'

Louis leaves the room, so we can get dressed, and I look at Neveah. 'You have to be kidding me?'

She sighs and grabs two black aprons, throwing one my way. It smells as if it just came out of the washer. Nothing like the hotel where we interned in Italy.

'We have to start at the bottom again.' She groans, putting her hair into a cute ponytail. I look at myself in the mirror on the wall and sigh. At least I get to work in a great hotel in Paris. Right?

We walk into the restaurant and notice Louis waving our way. He quickly explains a few drinks to us, before rushing back into the entrance hall, since it's getting a little too crowded over there.

'Bonjour, may I have-' I look at the woman who is ready to order and smile. That's something we learned from school, always serve with a smile. The woman orders a simple drink, a mojito.

I make sure to make her drink correctly and pour it into the right glass, before serving it to her with a smile. She takes a sip, impressed by the fast serving and taste. 'Have a nice day!'

'Not so bad after all?' Neveah asks jokingly and I sigh. 'This was not what I was expecting, but it's something. I mean look at this place!' She giggles at my excitement but nods in agreement.

'I have to admit, this place is amazing.' 'I know right.' More customers order different drinks and after standing behind the bar for over two hours, my legs start to get a little tired.

I look around the room, noticing one person and one person only. Rio is looking at us, analyzing our every move again. Great.

His phone lights up, grasping all his attention again. After another two hours Louis tells us that our shift is over.

He thanks us for our commitment and tells us to put the aprons away. We do as he asks and follow him back to the front desk.

'How did they do, Louis?' A familiar voice asks. It's Rio. He's still too occupied to look up from his phone, making the old man sigh deeply, 'They were magnifique!' he says impressed. I bet he thought we couldn't do anything.

I just hope that he'll let us do something different next time. 'Good to hear. We have to go, but they'll be back tomorrow.'

'Oui monsieur!' Louis turns back towards one of his workers and smiles at us one more time. People are eager for his attention, but he doesn't look away until we exit the building.

The car is still parked right in front of the hotel, blocking the way to the gorgeous entrance.

Rio hops in the car and waits for us to get in as well. He dials in a number and puts it on speaker.

'Hello, Rafael' He chuckles and places his phone on the dashboard before starting the car. 'That's how you talk to me now? All shy and shit?' Another deep chuckle on the other side of the phone.

'Anyways are you ready for them?' Ready for who? Us? The man on the other side of the phone chuckles again, 'Yes, I'm leaving right now.' 'Great, we'll be there in fifteen minutes.'

Without waiting for a response, he hangs up the phone and races out of the city.

'Where are you taking us?' Neveah asks, not giving a single fuck about the fact that he might flip out again. 'Marco is going to teach you how to shoot.' So that was Marco?

'Great.' I sigh, before looking out of my window. All I see is green. Different shades of gorgeous green as far as I can see.

The rest of the fifteen-minute drive goes by in silence again. Neveah is already tired from the five hours of work we just did, lazy bitch that she is.

Once we get to the location, I notice that it's totally secluded. Not a single building in sight, apart from the one in front of us. It's a simple building with no windows whatsoever.

'Are you going to kill us?' I ask jokingly, even though he might. Not that anyone will find us here anyways. 'Don't go putting ideas in my head, Miss Velez.'

God, if he's not killing us, I'm killing him! 'Go inside, tell Marco I'll be at the house working on some stuff.' Oh, so he's leaving?

'What if we decide to kill Marco and escape?' His eyes shoot to Neveah and all he has to do is smile for her to look away. 'That's what I thought.'

'Now go.' He gets back into the car, waiting for us to walk to the scary-looking building, before driving off.

We open the heavy metal doors and get inside. This is definitely something out of those movies, because damn it looks weird. It's a shooting range, as expected.

'Neveah North and Cataleya Velez! Welcome.' We turn towards the voice and see Marco, holding up a rifle and a shotgun. 'You ready to shoot?' And escape, of-fucking-course!
