Calix

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure Calix, now go hang with your friends." My dad said.

"Promise you'll call me when something is wrong."

"I promise, now go. I'll cover you with your teachers as long as you bring good grades back home." He said.

"You know I always do." I winked at him and he chuckled.

"Be careful son." He said as I walked to the door. I turned around and nodded before closing the door behind me.

I walked to my motor and took off. I haven't seen my friends in a while and it was about time I spent time outside the gym and my room.

Something I loved riding a motor was the freedom you felt when the wind goes through your hair. A feeling of no problems, no responsibilities, just pure freedom.

I saw my friends were already waiting for me at the mall where we always wait for each other.

"Calix! Brother, it's been way too long." Noah said as he hugged me while I was still sitting on my motor. He was my first friend I've ever made. The one you've know your whole life that you can't even remember the time when you weren't friends.

Noah is the goofy type and loves making trouble. We always act like twins and get each other out of trouble almost all the time. But most of the time we cause trouble together.

"Looking good, bro." Levi said as we did our bro hand shake. Levi is the best cook I've ever known in my whole life. Whenever we stay over at someone's place, Levi's cooking.

He's also goofy and is always up for trouble past midnight. He's a night person and he loves watching football games with food and a good beer with us. Nothing compares to that.

"Sup dude." Hunter said. Hunter and I met at a box match and we clicked ever since. He's more silent than the rest of us, the one with the good advice when you don't even know you needed it.

Hunter doesn't like a lot of people but I guess he likes us. He looks way more older than us when he's only one year older, eighteen. The scary uncle, you could say. The only thing that makes him smile is his younger sister and making trouble.

As you probably already realized, we love making trouble.

"So what are we going to do?" Levi asked and I lifted my shoulders up.

"Let's get food first, dad said we could crash at mine tonight." I said.

"How's the old man? I heard he got shot?" Hunter asked in a husky voice.

"Yeah, we already took care of the guys, you can have your round if you want." I suggested and they all nodded, Levi and Noah smiling wickedly.

"Let's go to Taco Bell." Noah suggested and we all agreed.

"So anything new with you guys?" I started our conversation.

"Gabriella keeps asking where her mother is. How am I suppose to tell a ten year old her mom left us and isn't coming back?" Hunter sighed.

"Let her come tonight, you know dad loves her." I looked at him in concern. He took care of Gabriella like his life depended on it, even when his mother was still with them. She wasn't the best mom, but we never thought she would pack her things and just leave like that.

"I know, but I don't-"

"It's not a problem, I swear." I put a hand on his shoulder, telling him I got him and he knows it.

"Thanks brother." He nodded and I nodded back.

"Well, nothing much changed with us." Noah shrugged after ruffling Hunter's hair, showing him he has his back in his own unique way.

"Yeah, life's bloody boring and it's calling for another trouble session." Levi smirked and we all joined him.

"Yeah, but my stomach is first calling for food." Noah said and we all laughed.

"Let's go then."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I swear! She threw herself on him literally! Noah didn't see it coming and they both landed on the ground. It was hilarious!" Levi said between the laughs as Noah was puffing in irritation.
"The worst part is, she wasn't even good. She made these weird sounds and called me Noagggggghh in stead of Noah." He whined and we all laughed harder. "What about your girl?" He asked Levi.
"She was a good kisser but that's it." He shrugged.
"What about you Hunter?" I asked with a smirk.
"Shut up you idiot." He said as he grabbed a fries and threw it at me as I started to laugh louder.
"What are we missing?" Noah asked and Levi placed his elbow on the table and placed his head on his hand as he waited for us to explain.
"Well, our little Hunter here got-"
"Don't you dare Calix, I swear to god I will punch you." He threatened.
"He got pranked, they were making out and while they did one of her friends took his boxers and raised it as high as she could what made him- ouch! Dude!" I said.
"I warned you." He shrugged as he walked back to his seat. Champion for the past four years or not, Hunter's punches hurt like a bitch.
"Alright, enough princess fighting, let's go outside." Levi jokes. Hunter and I roll our eyes at the same time but stood up anyway.
As we walked outside, we were standing in the middle of the mall, it was a circle with a small park in the middle of it.
"Shit, aren't those all the Castillo males?" Noah said, pointing to a giant group in the park.
"You're right, Romolo, Luigi, Lorenzo, everyone is there." Hunter said as we watched them.
If the Castillo's are here, there is a chance Isabella is here too...
Then I turned to my left and I saw her coming out of a shop.
Well damn.
"Holy shit, who's that?" Levi asked, eyeing Isabella.
"That's Isabella." I said grumpy. Hunter noticed and looked at me confused.
"How do you know her?" Noah asked.
"Dad's training her." I said, not taking my eyes of her as she waved to her friend on the other side of the park.
"She looks cool." Noah said.
"She is." I said, not lifting my eyes of her happy face.
"Alright bro, no girl caught your attention like this, go get her bro!" Noah exclaimed.
"Yeah, no. I'm not looking for anything right now and besides, she's a Castillo. I'd like to keep my balls thank you." I snorted.
"Can't lose what you don't have, grow a pair of bloody balls and ask her out. Weirdo number one is right, no girl has caught your attention like this." Levi said.
"Hey!" Noah said, fake hurt.
"These two idiots are right, brother. If her brothers come for you, I'm going down with you." Hunter said, giving me a nod.
"So am I." Levi smiled.
"I'll guess I'll learn to live without my baby makers for you." Noah sighed and I smiled.
"Go, loser!" They all pushed me and I laughed.
Let's do this.
I'm totally not asking her out, right in front of her brothers, uncles, grandpa and cousins.
Yeah I'm so dead.
"Isabella?" I asked when I was behind her.
She turned around and her eyes widen in shock.
"Calix? What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I'm getting some stuff for my father and my friends are helping out." I said as I pointed to them. Isabella looking curious at them and then her eyes moved back to mine.
"Well, I guess I won't disturb you any further." She smiled softly.
"No, I actually uhm, well I got a dare." I said and I scratched the back of my neck for the extra effect.
"You got a dare?" She said, amusement clearly in her voice.
"Yeah, so you, me, tomorrow night, seven P.M. here?" I said with a smirk and she laughed.
"Sure, sounds cool." She smiled and I couldn't help but smile back. "Your friends are still watching us." She said while laughing nervously.
"Is thé Isabella Castillo nervous because my friends are watching us?" I said with a raised eyebrow in an amused tone, teasing her.
"Oh will you shut up." She said and she rolled her eyes.
"No rolling your eyes, missy." I said playfully stern.
"Okay, dad." She said annoyed and I laughed at her cute annoyed expression. "Wait, aren't you suppose to be at school?" She asked and she tilted her head to the side like a confused little puppy. I smiled softly before answering her.
"Did I get that right? Are you concerned about me?" I joked.
"Very funny Galanis, but yes, I do care about you and your annoying ass." She said with a small eye roll.
"I feel honored." I said and we both started laughing.
"Shouldn't you be at school too?" I asked.
"No, I'm here shopping for this little dude. I got it this morning from my brothers so he needs some things before we go to home." She said pointing to a half asleep Apollo in her arms.
I was so focused on her all this time, I didn't noticed the dog she was carrying.
"You got a dog? That's awesome." I said. "Can I?" I asked, looking up.
"Sure." She smiled at me. I took a step closer and started to caress her dog and it only made him sleepier what made me smile a little.
After a while I took a step back and looked at her.
"By the way, Isabella-" I started but stopped when Emilio lifted Isabella and her dog and held her like she was a baby.
Alright, don't let them see your fear. Keep it casual.
"There, there, there, little sister. No flirting in front of me. No, wait scratch that, no flirting at all." Emilio said and then looked up and started glaring at me.
"Keep your hands for yourself buddy, stay away from my baby sister." Emilio said in a scary tone.
I stood there like I just came across a long lost friend.
"'Sup Emilio." I said casually, covering my nerves and little fear.
"I'm serious Galanis, back off." He said with narrowed eyes.
"So am I." I smiled. I'm a dead man
"How do you even know each other?" He said, still glaring at me what made me smirk.
What? I love being on people's nerves.
"I box at his father's gym. His father is my trainer." Isabella said quietly.
"Wait, isn't Nikos shot?" He asks.
"How do you know that?" She asked surprised.
"Words travels fast." He shrugs. "What were you two talking about anyway." Emilio said annoyed.
"Food." She said
"I asked her out." I said with a smirk when I saw Emilio tense up.
"Yeah. No." Emilio said neutral.
"Chill Emilio, it was just a dare." She tried to calm him down.
"Actually, it wasn't. See you then darling." I winked and walked back to his friends.
And that's how it's done. I heard her complaining to Emilio and something about Rapunzel. I shook my head, probably my imagination. Why would they talk about a Disney princess anyway?
Now I asked out the girl that got my interest and I still have my balls.
Best day ever.
Isabella
"Okay, how do I look?" I said as I turned around.
"Nope, too forced, change, again!" Katie yelled and I groaned as I turned around to change my outfit for the eleventh time now. I told grandpa I was hanging with Katie today and he believed me. I wasn't a lie either, I was hanging with Katie until my 'date' with Calix. Apollo was following my every move with his eyes what was kinda cute.
I have been training with him the whole day and we've improved a lot. I learnt him a few tricks like barking at someone or staying close to me. He was already very protective over me when we were walking in the park earlier this day.
Max and Apollo were becoming also close and I was glad they did. Apollo was also becoming familiar with Katie and Crystal. He's a fast learning and I'm sure once he's fully grown he won't leave my side and I won't leave his.
I still need to figure out what I am going to do when I'm in school. Fuck rules, I'm bringing him to school.
"What about this look?" I asked as I turned back to Katie.
I was wearing a black hoodie with 'idrc' on it and a blacked ripped skinny jeans. Some black converses and a black beanie with 'Death eater' on it. I took a few rings and put it on my ring finger and middle finger.
Hey! Just because I'm wearing black doesn't mean I'm in a bad mood or depressed. It's literally just a color that I look good in.
"Yes, this is the one!" She said as she caressed Max who was lying on her lap. "Okay so it's almost seven P.M. Mom will drive you to the mall, text me or call me when you need something and don't worry, my mom told Lorenzo you're staying over." She winked and I hugged her.
"Thank you so much." I said and I patted Max and he snuggled closer to my hand. Such a softie.
"Come on Apollo." I said and Apollo walked over to me and we walked downstairs.
"Have fun and use protection!" She yelled and I lifted my middle finger up as she laughed. She waved at me as she stood at the top of her stairs and I rolled my eyes while smiling.
"Are you ready?" Crystal smiled and I nodded. I got in the car and Apollo jumped on my lap. I held him as I pulled the seat belt over the both of us.
"He's very loyal to you isn't he? He hasn't left your side from the moment he laid eyes on you." Crystal said as she started driving.
"He is. I couldn't be blessed more than him." I said as I laid my head on his and caressed his paws. Crystal smiled at us before returning back to the road.
In a few minutes we were at the mall and as I got out and Apollo jumped out, I waved at Crystal.
"Thank you again!" I said and Apollo barked.
"You're welcome dear, goodbye Apollo." She said and Apollo barked again in a thank you, I presume.
She took off and I walked to the doors of the mall as Apollo walked next to me. I made sure I held his leash rather loosely as he wasn't so found of it.
"Don't worry boy, once were not in the traffic anymore, you won't need it anymore. I just need to be sure to teach you have to listen to me when we're crossing a street and once you master that, you won't need one at all." I said as I smiled at him.
Somehow he understood what I said and started walking closer by my leg. After a few minutes of walking I arrived at the circle with the little park. I looked at my phone, 18:56. He can be here any time now. I sat down on a bench and Apollo jumped next to me and then climbed on my lap.
I was petting him and talking to him and he laid his head on my shoulder, he loves that position. Suddenly his head shot up and he started barking. As I turned around my eyes met another pair.
"What's a pretty like you doing here all by herself?" The man said. I looked around and saw a few people walking around,.
At least I'm not alone and Apollo is here.
"Enjoying her time being away from people like you." I hissed back.
"Feisty, I like that." He said as he looked me up and down and I felt the urge to throw up.
"So do I." A voice behind me said and I felt an arm around my shoulders.
"Get lost Bob." Calix said, I looked at him and he was there, standing tall and looking down at the creepy man, who was apparently Bob.
"What do you want Calix?" Bob snickered. Now I noticed he was acting drunk and had a vodka bottle in his hand. Maybe not so good idea to snap back after all...
"I mean it Bob, get lost." Calix said with authority in his voice.
"Fine." Bob slurred as he turned around and walked away.
"Hey." Calix said as he turned to me.
"Hey." I answered back with a soft chuckle. "Thanks for that, but I could handle him." I said.
"I know, nothing wrong with helping out, right?" He smirked back.
"I guess you're right." I shrugged as I looked down. "But before we do anything, I want to check up on Nikos, no discussion." I said with a glare and he smiled at me.
"Fine, let's go little Castillo." He said as we walked back out of the mall, his arm still around my shoulders and Apollo walking next to me, glancing at the arm around my shoulder and growled now and then at him.
As we just walked out of the mall, Calix led me to a motor.
"Yeah, I'm not riding that thing. Besides, Apollo won't get on that thing." I said.
"I know, so I bought a dog helmet and he can sit in the dog seat in the back." He smiled.
I walked over to his motor and saw the dog seat with a seat belt and a dog helmet.
"I don't know." I mumbled.
"Isabella? Are you scared of a motorcycle?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Get on the damn motorcycle." Mom mumbled.
"O-Okay mommy." I said as I struggled to climb up the motorcycle.
"Hurry up you fool." She said as she pulled me almost over the motorcycle.
"Ready?" She asked.
"N-no-"
"I don't care." She said and she took of, giving me a heart attack. I let out a high pitched scream and reached to her sides so I could hold her close to me.
She looked at me with disgust and the motor started swaying.
"M-m-mommy." I said in a scared trembled voice. "I- I do-don't like-"
"You don't like this slow pace? I don't either, something we agree on little shit." She smiled wickedly and started to speed up.
"Mhh, not enough traffic here, we need more cars." She said and my grip on her grew.
She sped up to the motorway and my eyes went wide.
"M-mommy pl-please d-d-don't." I begged.
"What? You want to do tricks? Ugh fine." She smiled and I started to tremble. My screams got louder and louder as she took the next exit and pushed her brakes so we were circling before she went back on the motorway.
In the wrong direction.
"Mom please s-stop!" I started crying and shivering, people were honking at us and looking shocked at our behavior. "M-mommy p-please." I begged as more tears felt and I could only hear her laughs as she started to drive faster.
"Isabella!" Calix said as he stood close to me, his hands on my shoulders and looking at me with concern and confusion. Apollo was leaning with his paws on my leg and he looked confused and sad.
"I'm sorry, I'll walk." I said as I remembered the memory.
"Hey, hey, look at me." He moved his hands from my shoulders to my cheeks. I looked him in the eyes.
"You're afraid of the motor?." He said more than asked but I still nodded softly.
"Bad experience?" He asked, his eyes soft as he kept stroking my cheek with his thumb. I nodded softly with my eyes focused on Apollo. I gave him a weak smile and he reached out as high as he could and licked me, what was right above my knees.
"It's too far to walk Isabella..." He whispered. "But if you like it that way, let's get going." He whispered and smiled at me.
"Thank you." I whispered back. He grabbed Apollo and placed him in his seat. "You look tired little man." He said as he patted his head and Apollo started to relax. He reached out to me and I stepped closer and crouched to him until we were face to- well snout.
We gave each other an Eskimo kiss and then he licked me what made me smile. I caressed his head and turned to Calix. He moved and walked next to his motor as he pushed it and looked at me.
I got his hint and started walking next to him. He grabbed my hand and pulled me in his side so we were walking pretty close to each other. I looked up at his face and he was smirking at me. I smiled back and looked at Apollo, he was looking at us confused and then looked at the street again.
We walked in silence and it was actually kind of comforting. I was still shaken up from the memory and I knew Calix noticed something was off but he didn't push it. We were about ten minutes walking as we passed a dark alley.
I started walking closer to Calix out of reflex and he noticed. He smiled and wrapped one arm around me, pulling me even closer.
We heard a high yelp and we both stopped walking. Apollo was on high alert and started barking.
"Apollo boy, quiet please." I said and he stopped barking but didn't take his eyes of the alley that was now right next to us.
"How long is it walking?" I whispered to Calix.
"Another forty-five minutes." He whispered back, not lifting his eyes from where the sound came.
I took a big sigh, closing my eyes.
"Let's go with the motor." I whispered softly. Calix eyes immediately found mine as he looked at me in concern.
"Are you sure? I'm sure we can handle whoever that is together." He said.
"I'm sure, this street is creeping me out, let's go." I said as I leaned closer to his warmth
He walked around his motorcycle and helped me on it. He gave me a helmet and I secured it on my head. He put on Apollo's seat belt as I secured his little head with his own helmet. Calix put on his own helmet and looked one more time to the alley before getting on himself.
"Don't worry, I'll drive slowly." He whispered as I wrapped my arms around his torso. With one glance back to the alley, we took of and I gasped and tightened my hold on Calix.
"What got you into boxing?" He asked.
"M-my brothers." I said, closing my eyes. I couldn't see this.
"They made you?" He asked.
"N-no. They m-messed up and I w-wanted to do something f-for myself." I said in shaky breaths.
"You know you're good, right?" He said. "What about your friend?" He asked.
"K-katie? S-she's amazing." I said, holding him closer as we were about to take a turn.
"What's your favourite food?" He asked. Really?"
"Lio's c-cooking." I said. "A-and chocolate." He laughed what made me slightly more relaxed.
"What's your favourite school subject?" He asked further.
"L-lunch." I said and he laughed.
"Could've seen that one coming. Do you have a favourite fruit?" He asked. He asks weird questions, I tell you.
"W-watermelon." I said.
"Harry styles?" He laughed.
"No." I laughed back.
"Open your eyes, Isabella. Nothing is going to happen." He cooed. I slowly opened my eyes and my eyes went wide.
There was no one at the road, and the sun was slowly setting. And that's when I knew Calix was distracting me with these questions. I slowly looked behind me and saw we just crossed and came from a busy road.
"Y-you-" I cut myself of as I hugged him tighter and he laughed.
"Thank you." I whispered.
"Any time, Isabella." He said. I looked up at the sky and started laughing. Take that mother. I'm on a motorcycle without screaming or crying.
"Go on, scream." Calix said, feeling my desire to scream at the top of my lungs.
"SCREW YOU KIARA!" I screamed.
"I'm not even going to ask who that is but SCREW YOU KIARA!" He screamed and I laughed. Apollo started to bark
I placed my head on Calix' shoulder blade and sighed. I never thought it would feel this good to overcome my fear. I'm not fully over it, but I'm not freaking out anymore. That's a huge step, right?
"Close your eyes, and focus on the wind passing your face." Calix said and I did what he said.
As I closed my eyes and focused on the wind, I could picture myself surfing with Emilio. Laughing as I failed to stay on my feet and fall into the ocean.
The memory of the lake passed by as I jumped right into the water after Santiago. The fun I had and the happiness making me smile.
Calix started to slow down and I slowly opened my eyes. We were almost in front of Calix' house and soon he parked his motorcycle. I stepped off of it and took my helmet off.
"For one moment there, I thought you felt asleep." He joked and I laughed together with him. Out of nowhere I threw my arms around him and hugged him closely.
"Thank you so so much." I said and he laughed, wrapping his arms around me.
"You're welcome Isabella." He breathed and I smiled although he couldn't see me. We parted and he took off his helmet as well and smirked at me.
I smirked back before taking Apollo's helmet and undoing his belt. He jumped right out and shook wildly.
Calix threw his leg over his motorcycle and walked over to me. He moved his motorcycle so he was standing in front of his gate and typed in some code and then his fingerprint. The gate opened and we walked inside, Apollo close to my leg. He scratched at my leg and I lifted him up.
As usual, he placed his head on my shoulder and I caressed his back. Calix placed his motor on the side and walked to the front door. He opened the door and let me in first. I thanked him and walked in.
Last time I was here, I didn't really paid attention to his house but his house was pretty big with huge windows. Modern interior with a lot of plants.
"I do have to warn you, my friends are-" He said before he got cut off by a loud voice, coming from upstairs.
"CALIX YOU FOOL! HAVE YOU FREAKED OUT AND RAN AWAY?! I THOUGHT YOUR BALL WERE BIGGER- oh hi." A boy with light brown curls and brown eyes ran down from the stairs and stopped yelling once he saw me. Apollo was barking in my arms.
"Hi?" I said back a little nervous. Who was this guy?
Calix groaned and pushed his head into his hands and muttered a few cuss words.
"Isabella, this is sadly my best friend Noah, Noah Isabella." He said as he glared at Noah.
"Nice to meet you Noah." I said as I reached out and we shook hands, Apollo growling in my arms and Noah took a step back, a little bit of fear in his eyes bit it vanished as soon it came.
"Nice to meet you too." He said with a mischievous grin, followed by Calix smacking his head.
"NOAH? ARE YOU EATEN UP BY A DEMON YET? IF YOU ARE, DEMON I WILL BE FOREVER GRATEFUL." Another boy came downstairs smiling, Apollo started barking again and Calix started groaning again while. The boy was about the same height as Noah who were both a little smaller than Calix.
The new boy had black, wavy hair and green eyes. His gaze saw Noah standing next to Calix and his smile disappeared
"Oh, Noah, hi." He said, disappointment clearly in his voice.
"I'm hurt beyond ways you can imagine." Noah said and the other boy rolled his eyes.
"Sorry you had to hear and see that." Calix groaned when he started to massage his templates. "Isabella, meet my other best friend Levi, Levi this is Isabella." Calix said.
"Hi gorgeous." Levi said with a British accent. Apollo didn't growl this time.
"Hey! That's not fair!" Noah whined and Levi looked confused at his friend.
"England?" I asked.
"Bristol to be exact, is it that obvious?" He joked as he turned around to face me.
"It's not that bad, it could have been worse." I shrugged. "Bristol huh? You know Tia's Dinner?" I asked.
"Yes! Oh my god her bubble teas came from heaven! How do you-" He said as he raised his eyebrows. "You come from Bristol too." He said.
"I lived there for a while, yeah." I shrugged.
"You never told me you lived in England." Calix said as he took a step closer, stroking Apollo's head. I'm getting the hint Calix likes Apollo and Apollo doesn't mind Calix.
"I'm not too found to tell that to someone during your first conversation." I joked and they all chuckled.
"What about the second?" Levi teased and Calix smacked his head what caused me to giggle.
The conversation stopped as we heard heavy footsteps coming down. A slightly taller boy came down, black hair and his brown eyes immediately snapped to me as Apollo started barking, again.
"You're Isabella." He said and I was shocked at how deep and quiet his voice was.
"I am." I said with a small smile. I was about to ask his name but Levi beat me to it.
"Isabella, that's Hunter, Hunter Isabella." Levi said and I nodded, saying thank you.
"He's my last and third best friend." Calix said and I nodded. "And the little man is Apollo, her dog." Calix said as he patted Apollo's head.
"He's a cute meanie." Noah said and Calix and I started laughing.
"He sure is handsome." Levi smiled and Hunter just let out a 'hm' what made me look at him.
"You look older..." I said as I observe Hunter. "Eighteen I'm guessing." I said and Calix smiled.
"Yeah, he's 18 and those two imbeciles are my age." Seventeen, good to know.
"Let me guess, sixteen, seventeen? More sixteen." Noah said with narrowed eyes as he tilted his head.
"Fifteen." I laughed and his eyes went slightly wider.
"You look like you're sixteen though." He said.
"I agree." Levi nodded.
"We'll you're right in a couple of months, now Nikos?" I said, turning to Calix. Calix nodded and leaded the way. All three boys following us.
We went upstairs and took a few turns before Calix opened a room what I guess is Nikos' bedroom. Nikos looked up and he smiled at me.
"Isabella, how have you been? I hope school hasn't caused many problems?" He asked and I laughed.
"No, I don't think they noticed I skipped anyway. I'm coming to clean your wounds, any pain I should be aware of?" I asked as I stepped closer to him, releasing Apollo in the proces. Everything I need was already in the room and the boys stayed where they were as Apollo scratched Calix' leg before Claix lifted him up.
"Just my head a little." Nikos said.
"It's normal, if it becomes worse, take a paracetamol, if that doesn't help take diclofenac or ibuprofen. If it's still not gone, you should see a real doctor." I said as I undid his bandages.
"Got it, doctor." He smiled.
"Nikos, I'm not a real doctor." I sighed.
"At least tell me how you know all this stuff?" He sighed.
"My brother's a doctor. I picked up a few things." I lied.
"Your lies are as clear as a window to me, Isabella." He said as he glared at me. I ignored his remark and focused on his wounds.
"All set and done. Call me when something's wrong, okay? I'll check up again the day after tomorrow." I smiled.
"Isabella..." He said, his eyebrows furred and I sighed.
"Experience. I was a lot home alone and I was a clumsy kid. I learned to take care of myself." I lied again.
"Take care of stab wounds?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Nikos, drop it." I said coldly. Nikos sighed.
"Fine. I'm defeated, for now." He said and I knew he would keep his word.
I turned around as we all walked out of the room. Calix let Apollo go and closed the door softly as he signed me to follow him downstairs. You could hear Apollo's small paws on the stairs as I was swooning inside of the amount of cutiness.
"It's almost eight, you hungry?" He asked.
"Very." I smiled and he smiled back.
"Calixxxxx, I'm also hungryyyyyy." Noah whined.
"Shut up you idiot." Levi smacked his head.
"As much as I wanted you to eat Levi's food, I prepared something. You ready for another ride?" He asked carefully. I nodded slowly and he took my hand and led me outside, Apollo following close by.
Third person
"Alright, we all know Isabella is not at Katie's but preparing for her date with Calix Galanis." Grandpa said as he slowly walked passed the line of his grandsons and his son Luigi. They stood all in a line in the same position.
Arms behind their back, head held high and feet next to each other. Everyone wearing a army suit, and all this was forced by Grandpa and Uncle Romolo.
"In exact seven minutes, two black pickups will arrive as our transport for this mission." Uncle Romolo said as he slowly passed the line in the other direction as grandpa.
When they met each other in the middle they both turned to the boys before them at the same time.
"The mission is simple. We observe, and only take action when the space between our target and our crewmate is less than 23 inch (60cm)" Grandpa said firmly. Some of the neutral expressions of the brothers and cousins hardened, some of them grew angry but most of them stayed neutral.
"Keep your weapons close to you, we don't know how many eyes our targets has. Keep yourself hidden from our target and our crewmate Isabella at all costs." Uncle Romolo said. None of the boys moving.
"WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?" Grandpa asked as all the boys took a large breath of air at the same time.
"PROTECTING OUR YOUNGEST CREWMATE!" They all yelled out together.
"WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS MISSION?" Uncle Romolo asked and again, all the brothers plus Luigi took a breath in together.
"MAKING SURE CREWMATE ISABELLA DOESN'T WANT TO GO ON ANOTHER DATE!" They all yelled in unison.
"AND WHY IS THAT?" Grandpa asked.
"BECAUSE SHE NEEDS NO MAN TO MAKE HER HAPPY!" They all screamed together.
"WHAT DOES THAT MAKE HER?" Uncle Romolo screamed back, clearly enjoying this.
"A PRINCESS!" They all yelled.
"WHAT DOES THAT MAKE HER?" Grandpa yelled, enjoying this also.
"OUR LITTLE BABY!" They all screamed.
"WHAT DOES THAT MAKE HER?" Uncle Romolo screamed again.
"OUR SISTER!" They yelled.
"WILL THAT EVER CHANGE?" Grandpa yelled.
"SIR NO SIR!" They all said together.
"WILL DIFFERENT BLOOD CHANGE THAT?" Uncle Romolo yelled, enjoying the plan he and his father came up with.
"SIR NO SIR!" They all yelled without hesitating.
"WHAT DOES THAT MAKE YOU?" Grandpa yelled.
'Hungry' Emilio wanted to say but he knew this wasn't the place nor time so he said what they were trained to say.
"IDIOTS!" They all yelled and Grandpa struggled to take out his phone to film it and send it to his granddaughter.
"WHAT DOES THAT MAKE YOU?" Uncle Romolo yelled.
""LITTLE PIECES OF SHITS!" They all said.
"WHAT DOES THAT MAKE YOU?" Grandpa screamed.
"A BUNCH OF BRAINLESS ASSHOLES!" They screamed and now Uncle Romolo was also struggling filming the whole situation and sending it to his niece.
"WHAT ARE YOU TO YOUR SISTER RIGHT NOW?" Unce Romolo asked.
"NOTHING!" They said, most of them showing pain and sadness, hearing it out loud from their own mouths and from their brother's and cousin's mouth.
"WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO BE?" Grandpa asked.
"HER SECURITY GUARDS!" They all yelled.
"WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO BE?" Uncle Romolo asked.
"HER BUBBLE WRAP!" they all screamed.
"WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO BE?" Grandpa asked again.
"HER SHOULDER TO CRY ON!" They all said.
"THAT'S RIGHT. YOU FAILED AS BROTHER AND COUSIN AND UNCLE, NOW YOU'VE GOT TO LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES!" Uncle Romolo yelled.
"WHAT DID I ALWAYS TOLD YOU BOYS?" Grandpa yelled.
"YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE PAST, BUT YOU CAN CHANGE THE FUTURE." They all said in unison, like they did this whole time.
"SO WHAT ARE YOU BOYS GOING TO DO FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIVES?" Uncle Romolo asked.
"CHERISH THE GROUND SHE WALKS ON AND SHOW HER HOW WRONG WE WERE!" They yelled.
"Alright soldiers, this is a mission of life and death. If we fail, she might meet up again." Loud gasps were heard as Grandpa said what he said like he just told them someone was planning to kill them.
"Imagine, our little crewmate Isabella, meeting up again with a boy." Many barf sounds were made at the sentence Uncle Romolo just said.
"The cars are here, move it soldiers!" Grandpa yelled and they split up in two groups as they climbed on top of the pickups and inside them.
They were ready to ambush their little sister's little date.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The cars were parked in the bushes to cover them up. Grandpa and Uncle Romolo standing on top of them so they had a good view as they looked in front of them, both of them with a binocular and a walki talki.

"Alright, all teams in position?" Uncle Romolo asked through his walki talki. A few moments later he got all four answers through his device.

"Team alpha in position sir." Lorenzo, Matteo, Emilio and Riccardo said.

"Team beta in position sir." Vito, Sergio, Santiago and Luca said.

"Team gamma in position sir." Uncle Luigi, Julio, Cameron and Cayden said.

"Team delta in position sir." Rocco, Cameron, Rodrigo and Bruno said.

"Alright, eyes and ears open, soldiers." Grandpa said.

"Roger that, sir." They all said in unison.

After a few moments waiting, Grandpa spotted Crystal's car arriving at the front of the mall.

"Youngest crewmate spotted on east side." Luca said. "She's coming from an unknow car."

"It's Crystal's. Good job team Beta. Team Gamma, keep your eyes open, she's coming your way." Grandpa said.

"Roger that sir." Uncle Luigi said.

"She's entering the mall. Oh no, wait, she stopping. False alarm, she was talking to newest and scary crewmate." Santiago reported her every move.

"Roger that." Uncle Romolo said.

"She's out of our view." Sergio said.

"Alright, good job team Beta, go join team Gamma and be invisible. " Grandpa said.

"Roger that and radio silent, sir." Sergio said and they cut of the line.

Grandpa took his binocular and took a look if he could see Isabella.

"And?" Uncle Romolo asked.

"Not yet." He said.

"She's entering the circle." Julio said. Uncle Romolo and grandpa took both their binoculars and they both could see Isabella right now.

"We have visual." Uncle Romolo said through the walki talki.

"She's going to sit on a bench." Cameron said.

"Someone's behind her!" Cayed whispered out. "North-west side."

Immediately grandpa and Uncle Romolo's eyes snapped to that direction and they saw the creepy man sneaking up on Isabella.

"Team alpha, get ready for silent attack. We don't want her to discover ourselves but I need that creep gone!" Uncle Romolo yelled in the walki talki.

"Roger out." Lorenzo said as the line went dead.

"Calix is approaching, east side." Uncle Luigi reported. Grandpa looked at Calix while Uncle Romolo held his eyes on his little niece.

"He's fastening his pace." Cameron said.

"Team alpha, stand down." Grandpa said.

"But-"

"I said stand down."

"Sir yes sir." Emilio answered.

Everyone was now watching the scene as Calix wrapped his arm around Isabella's shoulder and they all saw her confusion. Uncle Romolo had to hold back his urge to shoot the little boy down and grandpa narrowed his eyes at the image of a shoulder around his little princess' arms.

They all saw how the creep turned around and walked back. They watched the two having a small conversation before walking back out of the mall.

"Target's moving, youngest crewmate close by. They're heading out of the mall." Cayden said, but everyone was already watching.

"Team delta, follow them from the roofs. Stay high on the roofs and hidden." Grandpa said.

"Roger that, sir." Bruno answered as the line went off. After a few silent minutes, Rodrigo spoke.

"They're standing next to the motorcycle of Galanis Junior. Youngest crewmate seems upset." He said.

"Hold your positions." Uncle Romolo said as he and grandpa tried to get a visual.

"We've got visual." Grandpa said after a while.

They saw Isabella's panicked state and immediately thought it was because of Calix. Grandpa and Uncle Romolo exchanged glances.

"Start plan dirty." Uncle Romolo said.

"Roger that, sir." Carlos said.

Plan dirty was simple. Scaring the two off so Isabella convinced Calix to go check the sound out, they would kidnap Calix and team alpha would 'safe the day'.

"Team alpha, follow close by. They're about to walk, go to the alley that's ten minutes walk from here, team delta." Grandpa said and every understood.

After a while team delta got already stood in the alley Calix and Isabella could pass any moment now. They stood all four next to each other on the small roof in the shadows, impossible for people that are passing by to see them, including Isabella and Calix.

"They're coming." Grandpa whispered. Rocco took a step so he could make the noice that would lure Calix in the alley, but he slipped and fell of the roof.

Unfortunately his underwear got stuck on a hook that hung from the underside of the roof what made him yelp out at the awkward position in his pants.

Calix and Isabella froze and looked over to the alley. Rodrigo, Carlos and Bruno were trying so hard to hold their laughter in and Apollo started barking, clearly aware that there were people in the alley.

Calix and Isabella had a quiet conversation and the males didn't like how close they stood. After a few minutes they put their helmets on, placed Apollo in a dog seat and took off at a slow speed.

Finally the three brothers burst out laughing and Rocco winced, still uncomfortable with his underwear so... tight around a specific zone.

"What the hell happened?" Grandpa asked, confused what just happened.

"Well uhm- Rocco, slipped and a hook caught his underwear..." Rodrigo managed to get out between the laughs.

All brother burst out in laughter as the imaginary picture of Rocco hanging with his underwear on a hook.

"Team alpha?" Uncle Romolo asked after catching his breath.

"We lost them." Matteo sighed.

"Does she has a tracker on?" Grandpa asked.

"No, her phone is off, so by the time we tracked him she's already back home." Lorenzo sighed.

"Mission over boys, we failed." Grandpa said. "Everyone meet us at the cars, it's time to go home." Uncle Romolo said with a sigh, disappointed that his little niece was now with a boy alone.

"Oh! I just got a text from my honeypo- erm from grandma. She baked cookies." Grandpa said in a cheerful way.

You could hear all the cheers and happy screams from the boys over the walki talkis as grandpa and Uncle Romolo smiled at each other.

At least grandma didn't fail.

Isabella

"Where are we?" I asked Calix as we stepped off the motorcycle.

"It's my favourite place. It's a small place with good music and a little dance floor in the middle. They have the best natcho's." He said as he shut his engine.

"And the most important thing, they accept dogs in the place" Calix said as he winked at me.

I laughed and he joined me. I turned around with a smile to free Apollo. He jumped right out and stretched his little paws.

"Apollo, close please." I said and Apollo immediately walked as close to me as he could.

"Nice trick." Calix said as he walked to my other side. "Let's go in, shall we?" He said with his famous smirk.

"We shall." I smiled. He opened the door and I thanked him as I walked in.

We walked to the reception and I got a small case of deja vu.

"Hello, what can I do for you two?" The lady in the front smiled at us.

"I got a table on the name Galanis for two and a dog at eight and fifteen." He said , the lady started typing on her computer.

"I'm sorry sir, I can't find your reservation." She smiled sadly at us.

"No, that can't be true. My friend's mom owns this place, I got a table for eight fifteen." He said, a little madder now.

"Calix, it's okay, we'll go somewhere else." I said as a strong case of deja vu hit me. Only this time the lady was not a man and not rude.

"No, Isabella our first date needs to go perfect." He said, his eyes soften as they reached mine.

"Get me Mia." Calix said with a harsh tone.

"Sir, I can't just-" she started but got cut off.

"What's going on here?" A lady came from the kitchen and as soon as she saw Calix, her eyes light up.

"Calix! How are you? Did you get your table yet?" She asked.

"Hello Mia, it's nice to see you again. And in fact, I don't. She said there is no reservation." He said annoyed but still being sweet to the lady, Mia.

"What? Check underneath the name Calix Galanis." Mia said to the receptionist who was now typing as fast as she could.

I took a glance at Mia and she was a tall woman with straight blond hair. She had a sweet smile and looked on the young side.

"There's a reservation at six fifteen, not eight fifteen." The receptionist said and Mia sighed loudly.

"I'm so sorry Calix, I told the new girl eight, not eighteen." She grumbled. "We're packed today, I'm so sorry." she said with sad eyes.

"It's okay Mia, we'll find something else, no need to apologize, things like that happen." I smiled kindly to her and her eyes landed on me.

"Oh dear, look at you! You're so pretty! Damn Calix you got yourself a pretty and a kind one and with an adorable dog!" she winked at Calix and he laughed as he pulled my to his side.

"She is, isn't she." He said while looking at me. Without wanting to I started to blush and he just laughed harder.

"Oh I know! I'll let someone set up the secret garden and you can eat there!" She said. Calix' eyes light up.

"That would be more than perfect, thank you Mia." He smiled.

"Go dance, I'll call you when it's ready." she smiled softly at us and Caix nodded.

Calix led me to the room where everyone was sitting and chatting, waiting or already eating their food.

Just like he said, there was good music and a small dance floor. Just as he was leading me to the dance floor, my eyes met another pair.

Those damn green eyes.

Greyson was staring right at me.

Muhahah
