It has been a week now since Isabella ended up in the hospital. The worst week of my life. I knew Isabella's family was the Castillo mafia family and I knew she didn't knew. It's not my place to tell her the truth, it's up to those idiots she calls her brothers.

Since the day Isabella went into a coma, I've asked my mother if it would be okay to stop my self defense training and start training with the Castillos. They know I mean the world to Isabella so they treat me and Crystal as family.

My mom was even thinking about joining them in the mafia but then she laughed it off and telling me it was probably one of her stages.

Stage or not, I'm so going to join.

A week ago, I went with Grandpa, Romolo, Emilio, Lorenzo and Carlos to visit that mother fucker. He didn't say much but whenever he said anything, I wanted to punch him in his dick. He knew what would make us mad and he thought that was a smart way to get out.

Yeah, he ended up death.

I've been hanging around a lot with Calix and his friends. They're okay I guess.

Okay, they're cool but I'll never say that in their faces. They need to keep thinking I'm the emotional fighting badass bestie of Isabella mother fucking Castillo.

I've also took care of Apollo but he isn't his cheery self anymore. I guess we're not the only ones who misses Isabella. Everyday I take him to sleep on her coma-laying body. It gives him a sense of comfort. He knows something is wrong and won't stop licking her to wake up but she hasn't moved a finger so far yet.

The doctors gave her three weeks to wake up, if she's not awake by then, then she-

She'll-

Fuck.

But hey good hope, we still got two more weeks. I know for sure she'll make it. She's been through so much, she can't give up now. She won't.

What scares me the most is how everyone of the brothers are getting more angrier, irritated and closed off. It's like they hate each other for what happened to Isabella, blaming each other.

I heard Grandma and grandpa silently cry in their rooms at night, pleading god to have mercy with their granddaughter.

Calix have been training non stop while Noah, Levi and Hunter protect the room Isabella's in. Weird to think they work for Lorenzo. Well to be exact they work for Grandpa and Romolo but that makes them automatically work for Lorenzo too.

I was walking to Romolo's office when I heard yelling.

Yelling from a female voice.

"Enough Romolo! I get it I was wrong!" Angelina yelled out.

"You started this Angelina! You said she had to take a DNA test! If you didn't say that that night she wouldn't fought with Lorenzo and she wouldn't have crossed the damn road! I lost my damn niece because of you!" Romolo yelled back.

"Don't you dare to put this on me! If it's anyone's fault it's yours! You and your stupid family should have never started a mafia in the first place!" She yelled out.

"Are you offending my grandparents? Grandpa's dad?!" He said angrier than ever.

"Come on Romolo, are you seriously going to be mad at this? This mafia is putting our whole family in danger!" She said desperate.

"It's in their blood, in my blood Angelina. You can't change a damn thing about it. If they don't want any part of it they would say it. They know I respect their choice. Don't you dare to put this on my mafia. The mafia of me, Gabriel and Luigi. This hasn't even anything to do with Isabella's car crash!" He said annoyed.

"For god's sake, it's always Isabella! Would you just put your eyes on your family for once, on me? On your dead son?! It's her fault after all."

"HOW THE HELL IS THIS HER FAULT?!" He yelled out.

"BECAUSE IF SHE WOULDN'T BE SO STUPID TO FREEZE OUR SON WOULD STILL BE HERE!" Angelina yelled back. "Santiago would hate her-

"Don't you dare to bring Santiago's love for Isabella in this! He loved her, they were so close and you know that." He said angry. "And never disrespect my niece again, you hear me!?"

"For fucks sake Romolo stop picking her over your family!" She said frustrated.

Erm bitch.

"Isabella is my goddamn family! I already lost fifteen years of her life, I missed every first thing. Now she's fighting her life and if she dies, she'll die with hate towards us, towards you!" He yelled out, his voice breaking at the end.

Romolo's voice broke at the end of a sentence...

Even the thought that Isabella could die made me want to cry. Knowing that my best friend would die with a bad relationship with most people of her family. I know she loves them, but I also know their betrayal reminds her of her mom, of Logan and that's why it's so hard for her to let go.

I also know, if she survives, she'll forgive them and love them more than before. Because she's scared she'll regret it again later. She knows that you can die every damn second, especially in the mafia so I know she'll love them harder than before.

It's Isabella we're talking about.

"I know it was wrong to force her into a DNA-test, I fucking know it! But it's in the past." She said in a soft voice.

"The past? It's still going on, darling. " He spat the word darling. "You're the reason this whole family is falling apart because you couldn't stop being paranoia. You've always had a 'bad feeling' about Isabella." He said angry.

"That's because she's still lying! She isn't telling the truth!" She yelled out. "My Kiara would never do that." She whispered out.

"She's just a spoiled brat, wanting nothing but attention and money-"

"I want you out of my office." He said, cutting her off.

"What?" She breathed out.

"Go, Angelina I don't want to see you. Don't you ever dare to say my niece is lying about her abuse. Do not even think she's seeking attention or money." He said with more venom than an inland taipan snake.

Fun fact of the day, an inland taipan snake has enough venom to kill 100 adults.

"Are you seriously-" She said in disbelieve with Romolo cut her off.

"Fucking go Angelina before I shoot you!" He yelled out.

"You wouldn't, I'm the mother of our kids." She almost said with disbelieve, but a small amount of smugness.

"You'll soon be ten feed under if you don't get your ass out of here." He grunted out.

She gasped and it was quiet for a while until the door opened and my eyes went wide as we made eye contact.

"Katie." She said in an angry tone.

I do not like this breathing thingy in front of me.

"Angelana." I said with confidence.

"It's Angelina." She said with narrowed eyes and an annoyed voice.

"Angelana banana see if I give a damn fuckana." I shrugged

"Go to hell Katie." Angelina said irritated.

Really? That's all she got? Wow, talk about a mafia king's wife.

"But I don't want to go home yet!" I whined and stomped my feet.

She stood there with her mouth open as I walked into Romolo's office with the biggest confidence ever and closed the door in her face.

That's what you get for looking down at my best friend honey.

"Katie, how long have you've been standing there?" He asked while filling in his glass with whiskey. I could see an amused smile on his face.

Strange... shouldn't he be mad for saying that to his wife?

"Long enough. Trouble in hell, mhm." I said as I looked around.

"Something like that. It's been hard, but what can I do for you?" He sighed as he turned around.

"I'm here because I think I might be on to something." I said with a smirk.

"About what?" He asked confused.

"Something that could help Isabella in the trial..." I said and his eyebrows immediately raised.

"Speak." He said and that's what I did.

Things have going by rather slowly. Another three days has passed what makes it ten days since the accident that isn't an actual accident.

I've been training with Noah, Levi and Hunter these past days and like I said before, they're not bad.

We have to become a team. We thought about becoming a team in the mafia and discussed it. A team as in doing missions together, train together all that shit. Of course with Calix also in it and hopefully Isabella too.

Nikos has been healing good, Lorenzo called his doctor and he was surprised Nikos knew how to handle the wound so good.

If he only know that wasn't Nikos doing.

Calix has been joining us every now and then and damn that boy can fight. I'm still getting trained by Lorenzo and grandpa as my fighting skills aren't that good.

Yet.

I'm more specialized in knives and finding information to be honest.

Noah is more of the explosions and gun guy while Levi is the tech guy with some good fighting skills. Hunter is our sniper and torture buddy.

Like I said.

We have to create a team.

We haven't really decided yet because of Isabella. It's like everything that we do reminds us of her. She's everywhere and I love and hate it at the same time.

We all keep visiting her daily. I keep her updated on everything that I'm finding for the trail, I'm telling her about everyone's condition.

They all look so bad and exhausted it's becoming scary.

Eventually they will get better but I don't think everything will go back to normal. Not even when Isabella wakes up.

Losing a child is something I don't wish on anyone. It must be terrible and I understand Angelina's pain but the things she said about Isabella went to far. I can't even imagine what Romolo has to go through.

He's been shutting everyone down and tries to keep his shit together for his family but I know he's slipping.

He needs Isabella to slap him and let him cry on her shoulder.

And while she's not, I'll try to help as much as possible. My mom has been cooking for everyone because grandma and Emilio are in no condition to make something to eat. I listened to the cousins and brothers I like, tried to help them and cheer them up.

I've organised a couple movie nights, game nights and that stuff to put everyone's mind on something else than death. It's been a little helpful but there's only one person who can solve this.

And while she's not here to stand up for herself -I'm talking to you Angelana banana- I will.

That's a mother fucking promise.

"Oi, I'm kinda hungry, let's go get food." Noah said after training.

"One, you're always hungry. Two, let's fucking go already." I said and they started laughing.

"On food basis, you two are practically twins." Levi sighed as he dragged his hand over his face.

"I take that as a compliment." We both said and started laughing.

"Why don't we buy also food for the people who are waiting in the hospital right now? That way they have good food, some company and we get so see Isabella." I said with a small smile.

"Sounds good to me." Levi smiled.

"I'm in." Noah said as he jumped.

"I'll drive." Hunter said and we went out of the building.

"Calix texted he's already at the hospital so we can leave without him." Levi said and we all gave him a short nod.

Also fun fact, Romolo gave is a private area to train so now we're kinda VIPs with our own training room and chill room next to it.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

We got into the car and Noah and I started arguing on what we should eat.

Noah wanted pizza, I wanted Belgian fries.

Guess what?

I won.

So right now we're driving to Isabella's favorite Belgian place to get fries.

"What is this place?" Levi asked.

"Isabella's favorite place." I sighed as I got out.

"How is it that I saw the girl once and I already miss her so much." Noah sad with a sad frown.

"She has that kind of effect on people." I smiled softly.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As we walked into the hospital, a doctor stopped us from walking.

"I would rather have you four eating that crap outside." He said.

"I would rather have your ass fired but we can't get everything we want now, do we?" Levi spat as he looked at me.

"Sadly we don't." I said fake disappointed "So suck it up honey." I smirk at him and we walked around him.

Ass

I looked behind me.

Definitely not an ass, not an ass at all.

"Sup folks, we came with the good stuff." I yelled out as I saw Sofia, Luigi, Calix, Emilio, Lorenzo, Matteo, Rodrigo, Riccardo, grandma and grandpa sit all over the hall.

They all looked up and Sofia smiled.

"Thank you so much Katie, you're a blessing." She spoke softly. her eyes were red from crying and her nose was running.

That's how everyone looked like to be honest.

Like perfectly shaped shit.

"I'll get us some plates and forks, do you know where they are?" I asked to no one.

"They're in her room dear." Grandma said with a sad smile.

"Thank you angel." She whispered as she kissed my forehead when I lowered myself to give her and grandpa a fast hug.

"No problem grandma." I smiled at her and walked to Isabella's room.

I took a deep breath.

It's so surreal to see her helpless like this. So vulnerable. So not my best friend.

"Oi, bitch I got you your fav food." I took the little portion out I got for her.

"I thought, maybe if I get her Carter's food, she'll jump out of her coma. I know you'll do anything for those fries." I laughed at the thought.

A/N Carter's fries is the place Katie and Isabella went to after her first training, Katie came in all dramatically to ask Isabella to get her fries and they went to Carter's. It's in chapter 26 :)

"So enjoy I guess." I said a little sad. I grabbed the plates and forks and softly left her room.

I got the plates and forks I said to Levi.

"Wonderful! I'll give everyone a portion. We've got a lot so you can always add more." He explained.

Calix stood up, took the plate Levi handed out to him and walked to Isabella's room.

"He really cares for her, doesn't he?" I asked Levi.

"He does, we've never seen him like this before." Levi sighed, his eyes still on Isabella's door.

"Isabella is not a normal girl, she's special and she deserves the best." Noah said while eating his fries.

"I should warn you, if he breaks her heart, he does not only have her whole family on back, but also me." I said, pointing my fork with a fry on it to them.

Noah took a step closer and bit off the fry of my fork.

"Hey! What about our no stealing food rule?!" I said irritated.

"Sorry, I forgot, here you can have one of mine." He said.

"I don't want a traitor's fry, but I'm hungry so gimmy." I said with a big smile what made them laugh.

After that we all ate in a comfortable silence. All her brothers never left the hospital. They looked horrible.

Don't you dare to give up on them Isabella.

After a while a phone went off.

What idiot isn't picking up his damn phone.

Oh wait, that's me.

"Hi mom!" I said happily. "Okay, okay, I'll come home for movie night. Yes, yes, no, yes, okay bye!"

"I need-"

"Go Katie, you don't to give us an excuse. Go have fun with your mom. Thank you for everything." Luigi smiled softly at me.

"We'll drive you, we don't want any weird people kidnap you." Levi said as he laughed.

"Hey! I can fight back." I said.

Everyone stayed quiet.

"Yeah, let's not count on your fighting skills." Hunter said as he patted my head like I was a dog.

"Bunch of assholes, I'm telling ya." I said to grandpa and he laughed.

I smiled knowing I let grandpa laugh.

I looked at Isabella's door. Before anyone could stop me I walked into Isabella's room.

I see Calix eating next to her and talking to her. He looks up to me and then looks back at Isabella. Apollo was sleeping on Isabella's belly. He hasn't left her bed in these ten days. Poor boy.

He does eat, I give him enough food, water and treats. He just doesn't want to leave her side...

"That's her favorite meal from her favorite place." I said.

"Really? I guess I'll take her to it for our next date." Calix smiled softly.

"She'll be fine Calix, I know her. She's a fighter." I said softly.

"I know." He whispered. "yet I still feel like something bad is going to happen. I can't shake the feeling." He sighed.

"She's in good hands." I said, agreeing on the bad feeling.

I've had it for a while now. Something is definitely coming.

We made eye contact and we both smiled softly at each other before I walked back out.

I walked to the boys and left the hospital.

Unknown pov

Just take a deep breath, everything will be alright.

I opened the door to Lorenzo's office and stepped inside. His head shot up and he looked at me with narrowed eyes. I heard him come in, he's probably this late because he always says goodbye to Isabella as last and tell her all about his day when no one is around.

Everyone knows he's crying his eyes out and doesn't want any other person than her to see it.

"What can I do for you?" He said in his business voice. Did you expect anything else?

"I need to tell you something, it's important." I said, looking constantly around me. Would she be watching?

Of course she'll be watching, I just have to be faster.

"Sure, what is it?" He asked with a lifted eyebrow.

"Well uhm, so one day there was this woman who-" I got cut of by Lorenzo's phone that was ringing non stop. Please don't pick up-

"One second." He said as he picked up the phone.

His face changed from neutral irritated to angry to closing his eyes and hanging up the phone. Right after he hung up, he started calling other persons.

"Emilio, get to the location I send you as fast as possible. Luigi and grandpa will stay home with the younger ones." He barked.

"Lorenzo- I really need to tell-"

"Vito, Julio get your asses to the location I send Vito, right this instance!" He yelled.

"Loren-"

"Romolo, get to the location I send you, c'è un incendio." He said as he looked at his watch. "Hurry up." He said as hung up.

"Lor-"

"Someone started a fire in Katie's and Crystal's house. We need to leave immediately." He said rushed as he took his things and ran to the door. He waited for me to get out.

"Take you gun with you, your silencer and your bulletproof jacket, idiot." He ordered and I turned around as I almost forgot my silencer

"Come on! You can tell me whatever you wanted to tell me later." He said as we ran out of the building.

I fear it will be too late until then, Lorenzo.

I sighed and ran faster, hoping no one was hurt because of me. Not again. I know they started the fire and if Katie or Crystal die tonight because of it, because of me wanting to tell the truth, I will never forgive myself. If Isabella ever finds out, she'll kill me without blinking.

That if, if she survives...

I rather be killed by her than that she doesn't survive at all.
