Rui became alarmed and had a serious face. He carefully focused on his environment to sharpen his hearing. He was ready to fight back at any moment.

"Ahhhh!" Achara shouted loudly near the kitchen. Hearing her, Rui hurried toward the kitchen.

"What happened?" When he arrived at the kitchen, he saw Achara screaming like a scaredy cat.

"The ghost, I saw a ghost," Achara shakily answered.

"Are you sure it was a ghost? It could also be a thief," Rui questioned.

"No," Achara retorted. "There is no one except the granny ghost. You obviously saw her spirit come out of the ash container when you broke it. I also heard her footsteps."

When Achara looked at Rui's face, she purposely shouted loudly. "Ahhhhh!"

"What happened again?" Rui was annoyed by her loud shouting. It was too loud.

"Your face, why is it covered in blood?" Of course, she knew why it was covered in blood; she was the one who had personally put blood in front of his doors. But she acted like she didn't know. Rui looked at the blood dripping down his face and wiped it. "I just saw it at my doorstep." This was her chance.

"Ghost, ghost, it must be the work of the ghost," Achara pointed at Rui and shakily pointed at him.

"Aron, I have been thinking. It is strange. Let's go around the house and check," Rui said.

"Are you kidding me? You want to personally walk into the tiger's den. It is a ghost! I am not doing this at all. I need to sleep. Bye." Achara ran away.

"Wait," Rui tried to stop her, but she ran away. He left things as they were and also went to bed.

Achara again launched her second ghost attack the next night. In a dark, desolate night, when a particularly handsome beastman was sleeping alone, a pair of eyes with bad intentions was looking at him. The sleeping handsome blanket got pulled by the owner of these eyes lurking with evil intentions.

Slowly and creepily, the unknown creature came closer to Rui, and its face approached Rui's face in close proximity. At that exact moment, the sleeping beauty opened his eyes and saw an ugly granny face.

Rui punched the ugly thing out of instinct and shouted, "Ahhhh!" The poor ghost flew three feet away and landed on the floor with its ass in the air and its face kissing the floor.

Achara smirked after hearing Rui shout from her bedroom. Why? She had a helper who helped to scare him. She let him disguise himself as a grandma ghost and let that fake ghost sleep on his bed. Now, her words about how the ghost would sleep on his bed and do weird things had become true.

"Heh, hehe." She laughed. She had given the concealing spray to the fake ghost so he could sneak in without Rui noticing.

She had no idea that the one who would suffer was the fake ghost.

Confused and shocked, Rui took a moment to look at the ghost, whose butt was currently facing the sky. The words that the little guy said came to his mind: "The granny will secretly do something weird to you when you are sleeping."

Rui slowly approached the fake ghost. He looked at the annoying butt that was presented right in front of his eyes. He kicked it with his leg.

"Ahhh!" the fake ghost cried.

Just as Rui was about to beat the fake ghost up, the fake ghost threw a quick powder at him, blurring his vision.

It was a hallucinogenic powder that could trick the opponent for a few minutes.However, the hallucination herb had a flaw. It cannot be used twice on the same person, or the effect won't work. It was given by Achara just in case. The aftereffect started to take hold. The face of the granny ghost became bigger and bigger. There was also laughter in his ears. In his eyes, the granny ghost approached him with big claws and was going to savor him. Due to the hallucination, Rui could not pinpoint the exact location of the fake ghost and punched around here and there. However, it did not mean the fake ghost could evade all of Rui's quick and powerful attacks. He got punched a total of four times. The sounds of "Ahhh, OOO, EE" from Charles, the fake ghost that Achara hired, could be heard from her bedroom.

Achara began to worry and went to Rui's bedroom to check the situation. By the time Achara knocked on her door, Rui had recovered from the hallucination. Rui was utterly confused. Now, his vision was back to normal, but he was not sure whether it was a dream or if the ghost story was really true.

The ghost he now see did not look as scary as before. He avoided the ghost and opened the door to Achara.

She saw a pitiful-looking ghost who had been beaten up "Crap," she thought. "I was going to call you anyway. What happened?" Achara pretended to ask worriedly to Rui.

The ghost seeing that help was here speak in a treambling voice, "I am here. I am here." Achara wanted to cry and hit her forehead after hearing Charles (the fake ghost's) voice. She mumbled, "Stupid pig teammate."

"You are here at the right time," Rui pulled Achara into his room. Then he pointed at the ghost. The fake ghost stood still like he was naked and did not know what he should do.

Achara feigned ignorance and asked, "Rui, did you drag me into your room just to point at thin air?"

"What do you mean? The ghost is right here."

"What... the ghost?" Achara faked being scared. "Don't scare me!"

"I think you just woke up from a dream. It also happens to me sometimes."

Rui pointed to the direction of the fake ghost. "What are you saying, it was right there!"

"No, I did not see any ghost at all. What, is there a granny ghost in this room? No, I don't dare to come in. I am going to go."

While Achara was distracting Rui, the ghost had time to escape and successfully fled through the window. When Rui looked back to see the ghost, "No, the ghost was..." The ghost just vanished. He had goosebumps and suddenly felt insecure.

It was not because he was scared of the ghost; it was because of Achara's words. "What if the granny ghost does weird things to him when he is sleeping?" He did not mind getting punched or hit. However, he had just recently met the female that he liked. He felt that it was not safe for a single beastman like him to sleep alone, especially when his purity was on the line.

So Rui suggested, "Aron, I am not sure if the ghost's next target is you. How about we sleep together for the night?"

Hearing this, Achara dropped her jaw and said, "What?"
