Along the way to the Ace Tribe at the western land, a group of beast men were travelling, bringing a variety of things with them. A female was at the centre, surrounded by several male beast men, protecting her from all sides. One of the males was carrying her, so she did not need to walk. The female had yellow eyes and cat ears and wore yellow-spotted hides with her short, pale brown hair.

"Why can't you guys go quickly? I am so hungry and also tired. I suddenly missed Aron's cooking," she talked to her males. She had a determination that this time, she would surely make Aron her mate and let him serve her for the rest of his life.

One of the males answered, "Don't worry, we are almost there." The female was no other than Kalazk's niece, Melina, who came to settle at the Ace Tribe for the winter.

Suddenly, the males heard noises from the bush. One of her mates shouted, "Who's there? Come out." Hearing this, all the other beast men were alert except for Melina, who could not figure out the situation. "What happened?" she asked, clueless about the situation they were about to face.

Before she could get an answer, several ferals came out of the bushes and surrounded them. "Well, well, look what we've got," they said, looking at Melina, the only female in the group with disgusting desire. She was disgusted by their look on her. "These filthy bastards." The group of beast men were all tense, ready to protect the female at the centre.

Quickly, a fight began between this group of beast men and the ferals. "Yes, fight them and crush them," as a female, Melina motivated her mates and felt joy in seeing these disgusting, filthy things cry in pain. She got so engrossed in the situation that she failed to notice a feral behind her back. Taking advantage of the time her mates were busy fighting the others, one of the ferals quickly covered her mouth and captured her. "Mmm, imm, aahh," she struggled, but the feral was too strong for her to break free. "Release mel Help!"

The feral put a knife to her neck and talked to her mates, "Stop, or I will kill her." Melina then angrily scolded the feral who held her captive. "Who do you think I am? I am the niece of the Ace Tribe leader, and my uncle is very familiar with the imperial army. If you ever touch me, you won't be spared at all." Melina threatened them.

A particular beast man who was just watching the show got interested after hearing her words.

"Shut up, you female. Don't think that we would be scared of whatever you talk of," the feral who held her captive spoke.

"Stop the fight," he continued to threaten her mates.

Melina's mates were in a difficult situation and unsure of what to do. Just then, a bear beast man not from their group kicked the feral who held Melina captive to the ground. He quickly held her and gave her to one of her mates. Then, he also helped fight the ferals.

After a little bit of fighting, the bear beast man gave a quiet eye contact to the ferals. Due to this, the ferals retreated and backed off.

After they were sure they were safe, the group approached the bear beast man who saved them from the ferals. "Thank you for helping us. If it was not for you, I don't know how we would have ended up," one of her mates thanked him.

Melina was also grateful this time. "Thank you for your help. If it was not for you, I would have suffered by that filthy bastard. Ewwk." She made a face that she was disgusted by them.

Talking like ferals were filthy, there was a hint of disgust in the bear beast man's eyes, but he was quick to hide it.

"I am Walden. I am from the Bear Tribe," he smiled.

I am Melina, from the Rift Tribe, and these are my mates." The males just politely nodded. Although grateful, all the men were on guard in the presence of a new male towards their females. After all, a female can take in many males as much as she wants.

While talking, Walden covered his stomach in pain, his face pale and red blood could be seen from his stomach. Looking at him in pain, Melina could not help but ask if he was okay.

It's okay, I am fine."

Melina suddenly remembered Aron, who was good with medicine. "I happen to know someone who is good with medicine. Since we are also near our destination, how about we come with us to rest for a night? Don't worry, I am the beloved niece of the tribe leader from a nearby tribe. I won't let you down."

I believe you." Walden secretly smirked at this opportunity. There was a hint of evilness in his eyes. For a moment, the eyes of the scorpion reflected in Walden's eyes.

On the journey, Walden and Melina exchanged conversations and became friends. According to Walden, Melina got to know that his mate was killed by the feral and that his tribe was destroyed.

He also said this was the reason he wanted to help so that others wouldn't have to suffer the same fate as him. He also expressed that he only felt empty inside and wanted revenge. All of them agreed to his determination, and the males were a little bit relieved since he already had a mate. It was rare for a male to take in another female, even if his mate had already died.

At the Ace Tribe,

"la lala," the tribe leader hummed a melody and walked as if the sun were shining in his heart. Achara happened to see him while coming across his house. When she saw the Kalazk, she couldn't help but ask, "What makes you so happy today?"

"This guy, haven't I told you that my beloved niece is coming? Of course, I have to welcome her."

Although it might be good news to somebody else, it didn't mean it was good news to her.

Just as she was about to turn around and leave, she heard a voice from behind. Hearing this voice, a shiver ran through her arms. Dread filled her. It was the voice of the person she wanted to avoid the most.

"Uncle, Uncle, are you there?" Melina happily called out.
