She pulled her uncle and secretly asked, “Who is this?” “He is the leader of the imperial army,” Kalazk answered his beloved niece. “Leader?” Melinda mumbled. Her eyes filled with lovesick admiration. She slightly pushed one of her mates aside, covering her view of the heroic-looking Rui. “Aww, so manly,” she sighed. Hearing it from Melinda, Achara couldn't help but want to vomit since she only thought of Rui as a pervert. However, a part of her felt quite uncomfortable knowing that another female liked him.

Melinda's confidence level was so high that she shook her hips and walked towards Rui with her hands on her hips. She flipped her hair. Then, she reached out her hand to shake his. Melinda's appearance was currently jeopardized and messed up and dirty from the rough journey. Rui thought she was begging for food, so without hesitation, he gave her some food instead of shaking hands. Sean also butted in and said, “Keep it. Our leader is generous to give you food. Poor woman, you must be starving to look so messed up and dirty like this.”

“You, how dare you say—mmm—,” Just as Melinda was about to fight back, Kalazk quickly closed her mouth and signalled to her mate to take her away. Kalazk clearly knew his niece was bound to cause trouble. Melinda was then forcefully taken away by her mate. “No…” Melinda shouted and then disappeared from Rui's sight.

Since there was no job for her, Achara was about to walk home, but a hand grabbed her shoulder and stopped her. Rui stopped her and said, “Not so fast. Great, you are also involved in this, so come with us,” Rui requested. Once again, she had to follow with a sigh. The reason Rui came to Kalazk was to discuss the quantity of herbs needed for winter survival and war preparation. Achara, with her medical knowledge, explained where to get them and their effects to some degree. It was simple knowledge helpful for tribe members with injuries or the flu.

The scorpion beastman, disguised as a bear beastman, began to survey the tribe, looking for any information he could get. One of the soldiers, seeing a stranger, shouted at him, “Hey, you! What are you doing here?”

Lowering his head, he spoke in a low voice, “I came with the tribe leader's niece yesterday. I was injured while protecting her on the way.” Then, he faked his injuries. “I just wanted to find water since there isn't any here.” The soldier scolded him, “The water is not this way. Don't come here again. The water is at the tribe's side.” The scorpion beastmen cursed the soldier. He wanted to rip his heart out, but he endured since this was enemy territory; he couldn't afford to be discovered. He obediently went back to his shelter.

Melinda thought of a plan to get close to Rui. She talked to her mates about it, and one of them gave her a special idea. The next day, there was a loud knock early in the morning at Achara's house. Angry, Achara scolded, “Who the freak woke me up so early in the morning?”

When she opened the door, she saw the face she most did not want to see. It was Melinda.

She yawned and asked the reason for her visit. But Melinda didn't say anything and tried to come into the house, but luckily, Achara was able to stop her quickly. “What do you want?” Melinda tried to look around for Rui's presence but didn't see anything. “Is Sir Rui here?” “Him? Yeah, he's probably sleeping.” “You see, we are going to build our house nearby, so I wanted to greet my neighbour.”

“Oh my god, the boiling soup! I almost forgot! I have to put it away. Let's see each other next time then,” Achara quickly said, making an excuse.

“Wait, I didn't smell any…” Melinda's words were cut off when Achara slammed the door closed. Achara had a headache. One problem was not solved, and another appeared. There was no such thing as boiling soup; it was just a lie. Achara then went back to her dream for a nice, cosy sleep.

Honestly, Melinda's mates were jealous of Achara, whom their mate Melinda liked enough to chase several times. Not only that, but they also had another rival, Rui. They wanted to feel superior. So, while Melinda was going out with one of her mates to visit her uncle Kalazk, the rest of her mates decided to stay.

They decided to teach that arrogant Aron, who had denied their mate's advances several times.

Achara was woken up by their ugly singing voice, which could be heard from her house. It also affected Rui, who was also sleeping. The mates noticed that Achara had come out. They came near Achara and showed off their big muscles, acting superior. “These kids,” Achara thought, “it will never affect her with their childish pettiness.” But then someone said that she was a scaredy-cat and was scared of them and not confident. The mate with the most muscles boasted about how his muscle was bigger than Achara's, as a male, to the point that it made Achara, who didn't have muscles, feel like a disgrace that it was her fault for being the one without muscles. Not only that, although they didn't bully Achara directly, they were definitely annoying. As a group, they would all show off their muscles in front of her as if they were so superior. Alright, Achara accepted the challenge. They had successfully pissed her off. Thinking of giving them a lesson, Achara took out her cooking materials and cooked an aromatic dish that was savoury and delicious. She purposely fanned the aroma towards Melinda's mates, making them realize this was something they would never achieve in their own lives.

When Rui came out to eat breakfast, they kept showing off their muscles, and one even said he was stronger than Rui. Rui at first ignored them. Hearing it, Achara complimented Rui's strength to purposely let Melinda's petty mates hear that they had someone more superior than them.

She even boasted about how Rui's muscles and strength were superior to the other mates. Rui felt kind of shy, even though he knew she was faking it to teach thode annoying mates a lesson.

But then one of Melinda's mates farted. Then they started a farting competition, competing to see who had the loudest and smelliest fart while both Achara and Rui were eating. This was total smell and noise pollution to the neighbourhood. She really couldn't accept it, and just as she was about to go talk to them, Rui stood up. It seemed like there was someone who found it even more unbearable than her.

Fed up with their boasting, Rui came towards them and announced, “Since you guys want to compete, why don't I fulfil your wishes? I shall challenge you all at the same time.” Without even giving them time to respond, Rui started to smash through the mates who had greatly disturbed his breakfast, as he had a superior hearing and sense of smell than other beastmen. ..........
