Great! Achara wholeheartedly cheered for Rui, who beat those annoying males. For the first time, she had a positive feeling about him. But when she realized her action, she immediately stopped. One moment she was happy, but when Rui came in to glance at her, she acted like she did not see it and acted ignorant.



But watching him fight, Achara thought that he was really strong. Even with her fighting skills, she was no match for him. She decided not to piss him off in the future.



After Melina visited Walden, she was pleased to see that he was well. Someone who was strong and reliable was really her type, and he was without a mate now. Besides, he had also saved her. Although it was rare for males to take another mate when their mate died, she did not believe that she could not capture him. Melina had great hope for their future romantic affair.



However, it could not compare to her Aron, the mysterious yet cute little male who was good at cooking and Rui, the handsome leader of the imperial army who gave off a majestic manly aura with his presence. But among them, at the top of her interest was the newcomer Rui. Not only was he strong and handsome, but he also held such a high position, which made him an ideal mate candidate.



Thinking of Rui, she could not help but want him as her mate. Without further ado, she started taking action. She followed the imperial army training center and called out to Rui under the pretense of reporting on her recent encounter with the ferals. Of course, as a person responsible for any cases that involved the ferals, Rui listened to her.



“Sir Rui, I was so scared. Please comfort me. Will they be punished?” Acting like a weak lady in need of strong comfort from a man, she leaned in to hug Rui, intending to seek comfort in his chest.



With the sudden movement, Rui quickly avoided her, which led her face to kiss the ground and eat some soil. Tasting the ground, she started crying. Her mate, who followed along with her, treated it as an act of bullying a weak female and made various accusations. “How could you do this to a precious female?”

“You pushed her.”

“This is a national treasure that should be handled with great care,” one of her males said, pointing out Melina.

“Mel Mel (Melina’s Nickname), are you alright?”

They slowly helped their mate up.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry, I am here,” one of her males even comforted her.



“Sorry,” Rui apologized since he did not mean to harm her. Melina realized that although handsome, this male was indeed somewhat scary. But just a look back at his handsome face made the word 'scary' vanish. Melina thought it must be the power of love.



As if all her mates around her did not exist, she asked Rui,

“It hurts, sir Rui, I think I cannot stand up. Can you lift me up?” She was imagining a princess carry, but instead, he was unexpectedly cold and drew out a weapon towards her. “Hold on to this.” Rui's intention was simple, he planned to pull her up with his weapon once she grabbed it. But before he could, Melina fainted, thinking that the weapon was to cut her neck.



Her mates quickly carried her to rest, saying that they would talk this through with the tribe leader. Halfway to her shelter, Melina regained consciousness. On the way, she heard two beastmen, Siam and Noah, talking about how Rui was looking for a female with black hair and pink eyes. They assumed that it should be someone that he liked. Hearing it, Melina had an idea.



She asked her males to carry her to their shelter and cooked up another plan.



Achara was clueless about all the drama. It had been a while since she had met her adopted father. Besides, things were getting dangerous with the presence of the ferals. She just hoped that her adopted father did not come to visit her these days. She was thinking whether to call him to her or let him stay somewhere far away. But one thing for sure, she had to warn him about the recent dangerous events.



Sephtis was carefully scrutinizing the size of the army and looking for any weakness in the enemy. But he knew that the main person he should focus on was Rui, the leader. With his skills of infiltrating the scent-concealing forest and ruining their plan to capture the Princess, he was not someone to be underestimated at all.



As Rui was training with his subordinates, he sensed an intense glare from far away. With his sharp instincts, he was quick to notice and turned around. Unfortunately, the opponent was able to quickly evade his malicious aura. Just as Rui was about to continue his training, he realized a new face in the army. He seemed to remember that it was the male who came along with Melina.

“Normally, as a guest, he should not come to the training ground,” thinking of it, Rui pointed him out and asked, “You, come out.”



Sephtis who identified himself as Walden, did not have a choice but to obey.
