"T-this doesn't make sense!" I stuttered. "Madam Webb said that Angels have been extinct for 1,000 years!"

"W-well...I was sealed for 1,000 years..." Angela slowly commented, still shocked.

"I don't think this is the same situation!" I replied. I glanced back, looking at the white wing protruding from my back. This makes no sense!

Suddenly a new mission screen popped up in front of me.

[Mission] - Survive in the Hollow for one hour.

[Reward] - 60 AP

[Punishment] - Death.

[Time] - One hour.

[Bonus] - Gain 2 party members.

[Bonus Reward] - 40 AP

Wait what?

[Automatically transporting...]

Wait! Stop!

A purple portal appeared under us, sucking us down into the Hollow. I blacked out.

...

...

...

...

I groaned, clutching my head as I sat up. What the hell just happened?

"Good morning...Host..." A yawning voice sailed through my ears.

"Oh, morning." I replied. And then I realized who had just spoke. "Wait?! Sally?!"

"What's wrong Host?" Asked Sally.

"You've been asleep for two days!" I exclaimed.

"Oh...what happened?" Wondered Sally.

"Thanks to you I was able to defeat Duncan. Then I went to visit my family and found out I was adopted. Visiting this church I found out I was half Angel and..." I explained.

"Wait! Angela?! Anna?!" I cried out worried.

"I have many questions." Sally commented.

Looking around, I noticed them laying on the ground unconscious. Moving closer, they seemed fine. There wasn't any evidence of injuries.

We fell into the portal...where are we?

Looking around, I noticed that we were in the Hollow. I could tell from the lingering purple fog. We were in a different area than last time, as I couldn't see any strange trees around. Looking up, I noticed a rocky ceiling above us.

So, we're underground somewhere in the Hollow...

"Host...it seems while I was asleep the System updated." Sally suddenly stated.

"Yeah...did you know it could do that?" I asked.

"I didn't." Responded Sally. "But you should check the System."

"Alright. Please pull up the System." I requested.

It's nice having Sally back.

"Thank you Host." Sally replied as the menu screen popped up in front of me.

Darn it! I forgot she can read my mind!

I looked at the screen, and it was different from last time I had opened it.

[Monster Harem System 2.0]

[Profile]

[Inventory]

[Lottery]

[Shop]

[Affection]

[Harem]

[Missions]

[Party]

There are now two more options. This System is getting more complicated every day...

[Party] and [Shop]? Let's look at [Party] first, I think the mission said something about that.

I clicked on the [Party] icon, the System now showing me a new screen.

[Party]

1. Jackson Walker - Level 3 - Leader

2. None

3. None

What? What's going on here?

"You can now add people to your party." Sally informed.

What does that even mean?

"They can choose a role in the party. This will allow them to join you in exploring the Hollow and they will get stronger quicker, indicated by levels. But by doing this they will learn of the System." Sally stated.

Oh...

That's useful, but telling them about the System? Would they even believe me? And what would they think, knowing that I'm creating a harem?

"I don't believe they will think any differently of you." Sally commented.

Maybe...

So, I'm only Level 3? I wonder what the highest is?

"I do not know that Host." Sally replied.

Well, that sucks.

Aaah! A burning pain suddenly shot through my right arm. I clutched it, gritting my teeth.

What's going on?!

"That is most likely due to your Angel half." Sally answered. "It doesn't mix well with the Demon Arm."

It hurts! It hurts! What's going to happen?!

"Since the Demon part is only your arm, you'll only get short pains like this every once in a while." Sally explained.

As soon as she said that, the pain in my arm died down. Letting go of my arm, I took a deep breath in relief.

"Are you alright Host?" Sally asked.

Yeah, I'm fine...that's going to suck...

Anyways, let's move on. I moved from the [Party] screen to [Shop].

[Shop]

[Sell]

[Buy]

Okay, there are two options here. Let's check out [Buy].

[Buy]

Level 1 -

Strength Boost 1 Hour - 50 AP

EXP Boost 1 Hour - 50 AP

Wisdom Boost 1 Hour - 50 AP

Level 2 -

Iron Sword - 30 AP

Fire Boost 1 Hour - 60 AP

Fire Resistance Uncommon Skill - 150 AP

Level 3 -

EXP Boost 2 Hour - 80 AP

Charm Boost 2 Hour - 60 AP

Party EXP Boost 1 Hour - 70 AP

What's going on here?

"The System now has a shop. As you level up, you can unlock more buyable things. These can range from items, boosts, or skills." Sally informed.

That's good. Based on my video game knowledge, boosts will help me level up quicker, correct?

"Yes." Sally confirmed.

All right. Looks like I should start saving up AP. This stuff costs a lot. It could be useful if I ever have to grind again, especially since leveling up is going to get harder with time.

Okay, now to check the [Sell] option...

[Sell]

What would you like to sell?

Okay, I can sell stuff. What can I sell?

"You can sell anything." Sally replied.

And that's when I remembered those Chaos and Fire crystals I have in my inventory. I'm not using them for anything, so I should sell them!

How much can I get for a Fire Crystal?

"10 AP." Sally stated.

Okay, not too much. The Chaos Crystals?

"5 AP." Sally informed.

Okay, even less. It seems missions are still the best way. Well, let's sell my one Fire Crystal and three Chaos Crystals.

"You have now gained 25 AP." Sally informed.

Awesome. These new additions to the System seem useful.

"Ugh..." I heard someone groan from behind me. Turning around, I noticed Anna starting to wake up.

"Are you alright?" I asked her.

"What happened?" She replied, looking around.

"Well...we're now in the Hollow..." I answered.

"The Hollow? Where you found Angela?" Anna realized.

"Yeah." I confirmed.

"Why are we here then?" Anna asked.

"It sent us here without me meaning to." I responded.

"What's it?" Anna asked.

Crap.

Should I tell her? I mean, I have to. I can't just keep it a secret forever. I told my family no secrets between us. That shouldn't just be limited to them.

I should be honest. I don't want to lose my friends because of secrets.

"There's something I need to show you." I said.

"What is it?" Anna asked, looking at me curiously.

I pulled up the [Party] screen, though Anna could only see me tapping the air. I clicked on the second slot, and requested for Anna Webb to be added. Suddenly a screen popped up in front of Anna.

But this one she could see.

"W-what is this?!" Anna exclaimed.

"It's...the System." I revealed.

"What's going on?!" She asked, freaked out.

"A couple days before our date I woke up to find out I had the 'System'. It gives me missions and rewards. It's how I've been able to grow stronger." I explained.

"Oh...that makes so much sense..." Anna muttered. "I always wondered how you were getting stronger."

"Yeah." I replied. I guess it's time to tell her the full truth. "It's called the Monster Harem System. It gives me missions to help me make monster girls fall for me."

Anna stayed silent, before asking a single question. "Does it influence people's minds?"

"No, it doesn't." Sally replied.

"Woah, who is that?!" Anna exclaimed, frantically looking around.

"Wait, you can hear her?!" I gasped.

"I am the AI of the System. I can speak to multiple people, but I've never had to use this ability before." Sally informed.

"Amazing..." gasped Anna.

She then looked over to me. "Well, it doesn't influence minds. So, my stance won't change. I love you." Anna confessed, shocking me.

Look, I knew she liked me. I didn't think she'd just confess!

"Anna...I like you too, but I don't think-" I started to say, before being cut off.

By Anna's lips.

Her lips pressed upon me, leaving my mind blown.

I was just kissed...

Slowly she took her lips off of mine, looking me in the eyes. "Don't try to be a noble harem protagonist. I'm so happy that you like me too, and I won't lose to the others."

"So, please go out with me." She confessed.

"...okay..." I replied, completely frozen in shock.

Anna smiled at me, tears at the edges of her eyes. She wiped them before they could fall with her arm.

"I'm so happy!" She smiled.

"So..what do I do about this screen, my boyfriend?" She asked.

"Uhm...try accepting the invite..." I replied.

I actually have a girlfriend...

My heart feels so light right now. I think I could float up to space.

She accepted the invite, and now the data on my [Party] screen has changed.

[Party]

1. Jackson Walker - Level 3 - Leader

2. Annabeth Webb - Level 2 - ?

3. None

"It's asking me to choose a class." Anna stated.

"Uh, choose what class you think fits you the best." I suggested.

"Okay." She replied. She scrolled through multiple options on her screen.

"Here!" She decided, choosing a class.

[Party]

1. Jackson Walker - Level 3 - Leader

2. Annabeth Webb - Level 2 - Trapper

3. None

"Trapper?" I asked, confused.

"I make traps with my webs!" Anna elaborated.

"Ohhh...." I replied, realizing what she meant.

"That could be useful for any 'defend the base' missions." I thought aloud.

"Do we get those?" Asked Anna.

"I don't know. I haven't yet." I replied. "Actually, I have a mission right now."

"What is it?" Anna asked.

"Survive in the Hollow for an hour." I stated.

"Why did the System give you-" Anna started to ask, before the sound of a growl echoed through our ears.

"Oh..."

We both just realized where we currently were...
