"We're surrounded." Sally commented.
Thanks Captain Obvious!
"Can you fight?" I whispered, glancing over to the vampire girl beside me.
She lightly nodded.
"Then let's do this." I replied, nodding back.
Seeing me nod, she suddenly disappeared from where she once stood. In an instant she appeared in front of one of the robed attackers, slamming him into the ground.
...that was fast.
Summoning my [Chains of Holy Fire], I threw the chain towards one of the attackers. It wrapped around their body, keeping them restrained.
I swung the chain, sending the attacker flying towards multiple others, knocking them over like a bowling ball.
An attacker rushed me, pulling out a dagger. Grabbing their wrist, I kept their dagger from stabbing into my stomach. Slamming my knee into their stomach, I then kicked them away.
Two more attackers rushed me. I punched one with my demon arm, sending them flying backwards. The other sent a punch towards my head, attempting to knock me out.
With a little guidance from [Danger Sense] I avoided the blow, striking the man in the chest with my own fist and sending him flying as well.
I've really gotten stronger. These guys are flying a couple feet away from a punch.
Four more attackers surrounded me, creating a circle formation around me. One stood at every one of my sides, ready to attack.
It's a good thing these guys aren't like the ones at Hell High. They don't have training like the students at school.
In video game terms, they're low leveled grunts. And that makes them easy pickings.
Swinging my chain, I wrapped it around the neck of one of the attackers. I yanked them off their feet, throwing them into another attacker.
The other two rushed me from behind, but a feeling in the back of my head warned me ahead of time. Ducking, I saw their fists fly above me.
Thanks you [Danger Sense]!
Sweeping the legs out from under one, I morphed that sweep into a roundhouse kick flying straight into the other attacker's face.
Smooth. He flew backwards, blood flying from his nostrils. Pretty sure I busted his nose there. Slamming my foot down on the other guy, I made sure he was knocked out.
Alright, that's 11 down. Glancing over to the vampire girl, I noticed she had taken down a similar amount as well.
Including the ones from the shop, that's about 25 people we've taken out together! And they're still coming! How important is this random jewelry lady?!
The attackers then backed off from me, letting one of them walk forwards alone. His two arms ignited in burning red flames.
This one can also do fire magic, I see...
The fire flared, growing bigger. He brought his hands in front of him, creating a "giant" fireball. It grew to triple the side of his head.
Holding it out in front of him, he grinned wickedly at me. "Have a taste of this!" He yelled, throwing the ball at me.
...
This is nothing.
"[Gluttony]..." I muttered, extending [Demon Arm Beelzebub] out in front of me.
The fire was easily sucked into my arm, leaving no trace remaining. The attackers just stared, frozen still. They're probably extremely shocked. I know vampire girl is, I see her jaw dropped over there.
"W-what?" Gasped the "still arms are on fire" man.
This was child's play compared to Duncan's Chaos Fire. It was stronger and larger than yours, and I sucked all of that up.
The fire armed man growled in rage. He rushed me, the palms of his hands blazing, ready to give me a good flaming punch.
I'm feeling some deja vu...
Sidestepping his punch, he quickly changed direction and brought his other hand over for a punch.
Woah!
I barely dodged the second punch, with the help of [Danger Sense] saving me just in time. I didn't except him to suddenly swing his other fist without regaining balance.
He stood across from me, sweat rolling down his red, angry, face. I'm not sure if his face is red from the heat of the fire or his anger though.
"Stay still!" He screamed, lunging at me.
I backhanded his face, sending him into the ground in front of me.
I stayed still for you.
All of the robed attackers seemed to just stare at me. I'm not sure if it was in fear, awe, or anger, but it was incredibly uncomfortable.
"He can't take us all!" One of them yelled.
Ah yes, the cliche line. Finally they're being smart and not coming at me in waves. Most of the remaining attackers started to rush me, only three or four going for the vampire girl.
Hey Sally, will revealing my monster form make me stronger? Kind of like that one anime about monsters where they were much stronger in their "true" forms?
"Yes, you will be quicker and stronger." Sally informed.
Nice. Let's do one of those reveals, shall we?
Grinning at them, I felt as my single Angel wing unfurled from my back. It felt as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Stretching the wing, I felt extremely free.
"An Angel?!" Cried out one of the attackers in surprise upon seeing my halo and wing.
Close. I'm a Nephilim.
Rushing forward at quicker speeds than before, I used my demonic arm to slam one attacker into the ground.
Grabbing another attacker with my chain, I used him like a whip, slamming him into multiple other attackers.
Sending him flying away, I caught the fist of an approaching attacker. Throwing him over my shoulder, I kicked another away. They continued to swarm me, hoping to take me out. Unlucky for them, I've been training plenty.
I lit the chain on fire, swinging it around and warding off the attackers. After all, they don't want to be burned by the searing white flames covering the chain.
[Danger Sense]!
I quickly moved to the side, avoiding an attack from behind. Slamming my fist backwards, it smacked the attacker across the face.
They flew backwards into another attacker, knocking them both down onto the ground. Now only a couple attackers remained.
A searing pain suddenly struck through my demon arm. I grit my teeth, trying to not let any pain be shown to my enemies. Gripping my arm, I stared down the last attackers.
"Take this!" One screamed, throwing something at me.
It was some sort of canister, but as it approached [Danger Sense] suddenly flared inside of my mind. Jumping backwards, I tried to avoid the oncoming event.
The canister exploded, sending me backwards. I got away in time for minimal injuries, but I was still affected by the strength of the explosion.
Slamming into the wall, I groaned in pain. Hitting this wall hurt more than the explosion itself. And with the blood running down my head from injury that cashier dished out, I'm starting to feel dizzy...
My vision's starting to go a little blurry...
At least my arm no longer hurts...
"Hahaha! Looks like we got him." Laughed one of the attackers, crouching by me. He looked over to his companion.
"Restrain the girl. Once the others wake up we'll head back." He ordered.
The other nodded, walking away.
"Would you look at this? Not so tough, now are you?" Taunted the attacker.
I grinned at his blurry figure.
"What's so funny, huh?" Growled the attacker.
"I wouldn't be top of my school if I went down so easily." I coughed.
"Top of your school? What the hell are you-" He started.
I cut him off by tackling him, pinning him onto the ground. Brining my arm up, I punched his blurry figure in the head. He immediately slumped over, knocked out.
Stumbling to my feet, I glared at the final couple of attackers-
Oh, never mind. Vampire girl just took them out.
Sitting down, I tried to regain my strength. I really need more experience with fighting. I may be strong, but I don't nearly have enough experience.
Well, looks like more trips to the Hollow...
Sally, can you claim the mission?
[Mission] - Survive and protect the jewelry girl. Completed.
(Claim?)
"On it Host." Sally replied.
Sweet, another 80 AP.
Vampire girl walked over, sitting down next to me.
"Hey, you alright?" She asked.
"Yeah..." I grunted.
"You sure? That's a lot of blood on your face." She commented.
"I'll be fine. I have some friends near..." I replied.
She nodded, continuing to sit next to me in silence. We relaxed for a bit, gazing at the numerous knocked out robed attackers.
"Why did you help me?" She suddenly asked.
"What makes you think I was helping you?" I responded.
I was helping her, but if I didn't I'd be in trouble anyways...
"You could have escaped multiple times, not being their target. You could have handed me in at the beginning." She argued.
"Never negotiate with a villain. They won't bag an eyelash to go back on their words." I replied.
That and I wasn't just going to give up some random person for my own hide. I'd never forgive myself.
Me and my stupid "white knight" personality...
"Well, thank you." She responded.
"You're welcome." I replied, shakily standing to my feet. Staggering away, I started to head towards to where Anna and Madam Webb were before I departed.
"Wait! What's your name?" The vampire girl suddenly asked.
"Jackson. Jackson Walker." I told her, before continuing on my way.
I fished my phone out of my pocket. I should probably call Anna...
