"How did Derrick's henchmen get in?" Dracula asked his butler.

"After some investigation we believe that the guards were payed off. Except for Larry." The butler responded.

"Idiots." Dracula sighed. "They should know better than to cross us."

"What about Larry?" Dawn's Mother asked.

"He's just stupid. He let them in without suspicion." The butler sweatdropped.

"God, I knew I should have never given Larry that position." Dracula grumbled.

"I thought we should give him a chance." Dawn's Mother argued.

Dracula sighed in response. "You can go." He said, waving off the butler.

The butler nodded, before exiting the room. The Blood Ball had been cancelled, for obvious reasons. Now we were sitting at a large dining table, about to have dinner at one in the morning.

Yes, the best time to have dinner.

Dawn sat to my right while Anna sat to my left. I felt her hand intertwine with mine under the table. Somehow Dawn noticed, intertwining her own hand with my other one.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." Coughed Dracula, sitting back down into his seat at the end of the table.

"It's been a while Drac." Madam Webb smirked.

"Yes it has. And I told you not to call me Drac." Dracula replied, annoyed.

You know him too? What have you been doing before you became the headmaster Madam Webb?

"Really? It's been so long I've seen to forgotten." Madam Webb teased.

Dracula groaned.

"Nice to see you again Carmilla." Madam Webb greeted.

"It's nice to see you as well." Carmilla smiled.

"Hello Dawn." Madam Webb stated.

"Hello." Dawn replied, a small smile tugging at her lips.

"So, I see you know...him. Who is he?" Dracula asked, glancing at me.

I'm getting hostile vibes.

"He's my Son-in-Law." Madam Webb smiled proudly.

Why are you so proud of that?!

"Oh. I see." Replied Dracula, straining a smile.

I'm definitely getting hostile vibes.

"So you chose a taken man." Dracula said.

"It's my choice." Argued Dawn. "If I'm being forced to have a fiancé, then he's the one I choose."

Anna gave Dawn a small glare from the corner of my vision. Meanwhile, Angela, Sapphire, and Krystal all stared at me with a "are you serious?" look.

I didn't mean for this to happen! I promise!

"Dawn, how about you go and get to know Anna, and I can have a talk with your...fiancé here?" Dracula suggested.

"And let you kill him? I think not." Retorted Dawn.

"I promise I won't let Drac kill him." Carmilla smiled. "We just want to get to know your soon-to-be-husband."

"Fine." Groaned Dawn. She looked towards me, her eyes softening. "Don't die."

"I won't." I promised.

Dawn nodded. She and Anna stood up, Anna clutching Dawn's arm.

"We have much to talk about." Anna smiled. Her smile wasn't so sweet though.

"Oh no." Dawn realized.

Anna dragged her off.

"Hey! Wait!" Angela yelled, running after them.

"We'll be back." Sapphire said as she passed me.

"Good luck!" Smiled Krystal.

I feel bad for Dawn. Hope they don't do anything to her...

"Hey sweetie, can you and Brutus also go to a guest room? I want to have this talk with Jackson, Drac, and Carmilla." Madam Webb asked.

"Uh...sure..." John awkwardly replied. "Let's go Brutus."

He and Brutus stood up, walking past me.

"Sorry bro. Don't die." John said, patting my back.

You traitor!

"Don't die..." Brutus quietly repeated as he shuffled along behind John.

"I'll show you to the guest rooms." A butler said, leading them out of the dining room.

As they left, the dining room was left in a stiffening silence. I awkwardly stared at Dawn's parents, unsure of what to do.

"So, what is an Angel like you doing in the Underworld?" Dracula asked.

"It's uh, a long story actually..." I awkwardly replied.

"Then give me the short." Dracula stated.

"He was a normal human who upon discovering monsters started to attend my school. It was then he discovered he was actually part Angel." Madam Webb summarized.

"Excuse me...what?" Dracula asked.

"He was a-" Madam Webb started.

"You don't need to repeat it!" Dracula interjected.

Dracula shook his head, sighing.

"Strange kid. Part Angel, and wielding a demon arm..." Dracula muttered to himself.

"If...you're so opposed to Dawn having a fiancé...why is she forced to have one...?" I slowly asked.

"It's vampire tradition." Sighed Carmilla.

"It's not like I wanted my sweet baby girl to grow up!" Dracula cried.

Oh god, he's the worst kind of father I could meet.

An overprotective one...

"And now she's being stolen by you! I was hoping she would take a fiancé, they'd try something, and then we could kick them out and annul the engagement!" Dracula cried.

This is not how I would have imagined Dracula...

"But she's actually falling for you! What kind of magic did you place on her?! She never had an interest in boys before!" Dracula growled.

Memories of Duncan filled my head...

"Excuse me sir, but I did not-!" I started to stand up, upset.

"Let's all calm down." Carmilla interjected.

I sat back into my seat.

"I don't get why you let him date your daughter. Who knows how many people he's sunk his fangs into." Dracula stated.

Rude. You don't even know me. And I'm not a vampire, so I don't have fangs.

"Zero people...sir." I retorted.

Dracula sent a glare my way. I didn't back down, but glared back! That's probably a death wish, don't it?

Carmilla's eyes suddenly widened, as if she realized something.

"He grows on you." Madam Webb smiled. "When I first met him I almost killed him."

"How did you do that?" Carmilla asked, curious.

"She threw a knife at my head without warning." I sweatdropped.

"And you dodged it?" She asked. I nodded in response.

"Interesting..." she muttered to herself, going deep into thought.

"Whether or not he can dodge knives is irrelevant right now. What's important is the fact that he's stealing our daughter!" Dracula said, trying to get Carmilla to his side.

Carmilla continued to mutter unintangible words under her breath, unaffected by her husband.

"You should give him a chance." Madam Webb urged him.

"Never!" Dracula denied.

"You're as stubborn as always." Madam Webb sighed. "What would it take for you to accept him."

"I could give him a chance. If. Only IF, he lands a single hit on me in a duel." Dracula smirked.

"Deal." I growled, standing up.

Carmilla suddenly shook out of her thoughts, paying attention to what was about to happen.

"Let's do this then." Dracula grinned. He snapped his fingers, and a bunch of butlers entered the room.

"Move the table." He ordered. The butlers nodded. As the four of us stood up, the butlers moved the table away, leaving an empty space for me and Dracula to fight in.

Madam Webb and Carmilla stood off to the side as Dracula and I stood across from each other.

[Danger Sense]!

I didn't even have a second as Dracula was already in front of me, sending his fist into my gut. I keeled over, giving Dracula the opening to grab the back of my shirt and through me into the wall.

I groaned, sliding down the wall.

Gah! A blinding pain shot through my right arm. Wrong time for my demon arm to act up!

"You're really an idiot." Dracula said. "It's the Blood Ball. The Crimson Moon hangs overhead, giving me strength."

That's right-!

Suddenly I was in the air, no longer resting on the side of the wall. Staring down at Dracula with shock, he jumped up to match my height. He kicked me downwards, slamming me down into the floor.

"Hmph. You're too weak to even come close to me." Dracula scoffed. "Someone like you isn't worthy of my daughter."

Isn't worthy? Isn't worthy?

Now you're starting to tick me off.

I staggered to my feet, causing Dracula to turn back towards me in surprise.

"You really want another beating, don't you?" He rhetorically asked.

Last time he went with a gut punch following a kick. Seeing how it worked last time, there's a good chance he may go with a similar route.

I released my wing from my back, and my halo appeared over my head once more.

[Danger Sense]!

In an instant Dracula was in front of me, but this time I dodged his punch, allowing his fist to go straight past my face.

[Danger Sense]!

I sidestepped his sneaky uppercut he attempted with his other arm. I sent my demon fist towards his face, but he quickly jumped back. Dracula and I circled each other, waiting for a single opening.

[Danger Sense]!

Suddenly a fireball appeared in front of me. Since when could Dracula use magic?!

"Gluttony!" I shouted in surprise, bringing my demon arm in front of me.

The eye on the back of my hand opened wide as the fireball was sucked into my demon arm.

I feel refreshed...I have a plan. I can do this!

I launched forwards at the surprised Dracula, outstretching my fist to punch him across the face.

I was easily slammed into the ground.

"Surprising. But not enough." Dracula sighed.

"Are you sure about that?" I heard Madam Webb smirk.

Dracula raised his eyebrow at her, before he felt a small tingle on his leg. Looking down, he noticed a small cut on his leg.

"What the?!" Dracula gasped.

"Heh." I coughed.

Let's rewind.

I launched forwards at the surprised Dracula, outstretching my fist to punch him across the face.

At least that's what I wanted them to think. In my left hand, I readied myself to summon my [Iron Sword].

Once I got close enough, I didn't even try to dive or block him and placed all of my focus into getting a single scratch onto him by quickly swiping towards his leg while summoning the [Iron Sword], before quickly placing it back into my [Inventory].

With his attention focused on knocking me down, he didn't even notice. Of course, this wouldn't be good at all in a normal battle, but with only needing to get one hit in, this trick worked.

"Uh...everything's getting dark..." I groaned.

...

What happened?

I groaned, slowly sitting up. Looking around, I noticed Dracula and Madam Webb talking. But where was Carmilla?

Looking behind me, I see Carmilla sitting down while smiling at me.

Was she...giving me a lap pillow...?

"I accept you." She stated.

"...What?" I asked, confused.

"I accept you as Dawn's fiancé." Carmilla smiled. "You're quite the interesting individual. It'll be nice to welcome you to the family. I'm glad I waited on deciding whether to obliterate you or not."

"Is that...a joke?" I asked uncertainly.

"Is it?" Carmilla slyly smiled.

...The mom's scarier....

The door suddenly opened as the girls walked back in.

"What the hell happened here?!" Anna cried out.

Dawn ran over, grabbing my arm. "This is great! Anna accepts us!"

...How did you manage to do that?

"I'm still the main girl!" Anna exclaimed.

"Don't worry Dawn, I accept him too. Your father might take a little while however." Carmilla smiled.

This is crazy...

Wait. Doesn't this make me the next king?

WHAT THE HELL?!
