A roar rumbled through the trees as the footsteps got louder. The trees were pushed to the side as a gigantic, purple beast came towering over the trees. It was easily larger than a Werebeast, and it was even larger than a Dustworm.

Wait, is that a T-Rex?! With two heads?!

Purple crystals jutted out from the back of it's two heads, going down the spine where they were the largest to all the way down the tail.

"What is that?!" Exclaimed Krystal.

"That's one large Corrupted..." Angela muttered, before grinning. "Let's do this."

It looked down towards us, opening its two jaws. Instead of a roar, a purple light started to glow from down the throat. It looked like it was charging up a beam.

"Move!" Anna ordered.

We dashed to the side as a two purple laser beams shot out of the double-headed T-Rex, combining in the air to create one larger one. It crashed into the ground and created a long gash through the purple dirt. It was a good thing we weren't in front of that...

"Krystal, can you distract it with an illusion?" Anna asked.

Krystal nodded. "Keep it distracted."

"Jack, Angela, do your thing." Anna replied. "Dawn, you and I will protect Krystal."

"Alright." Dawn nodded.

Krystal took a deep breath, closing her eyes and starting to focus. Angela let her wings free, flying through the air around the T-Rex. It twirled around, following her and trying to blast her out of the sky.

She easily maneuvered around the blasts. I didn't realize that Angela was so good at flying. While she distracted it, I rushed forwards with my flaming sword.

Swinging across it's back, I cut off one of the crystals. A small gash was now on the back of the Corrupted. It could tank more hits than a Werebeast could. It clattered to the ground as the T-Rex roared in pain.

It twirled around, it's tail almost smacking me in the face. With a warning from [Danger Sense] I moved out of the way of another purple laser from the mouths of the T-Rex.

Angela slammed a flaming fist against the head of the T-Rex, making it stumble as it was thrown off balance.

"I got it!" Krystal cried out, sweat dripping down her forehead.

We stood still as the T-Rex started to look around. It seemed like it couldn't see us anymore. Krystal must have made some sort of illusion which made us invisible, or maybe camouflaged.

[Danger Sense] suddenly yelled in my mind.

The noses on the heads twitched, and it's head swiveled towards me. From it's mouth a purple beam launched towards me. I rolled out of the way, dodging the beam.

"It can still smell us!" Anna's eyes widened.

"I'm sorry! I haven't learned how to make smell illusions!" Krystal wailed. "I only know visible illusions!"

The T-Rex turned towards the two, opening its mouth for another supercharged purple beam. Dawn quickly tackled the two out of the way, the beam slamming into the ground next to them.

Dawn pulled the two of them to their feet. "It's fine!" She stated. "We need to move!"

Angela flew towards the T-Rex for another punch. It seemed to have learned from last time, slamming it's tail into her before she could dodge.

I quickly caught Angela, setting her down onto the ground. "Sorry." She whispered.

"It's alright." I stated. "But we need a better plan, or else we'll be playing hit and run for quite a while."

"Give me a moment!" Anna yelled towards us. She shot some webs from her fingers. They flew through the air, latching onto the eyes of one of the heads, covering it.

It roared in anger. It opened its mouth for another beam, but when they launched the two didn't combine into one and went separate directions.

One of the went towards me, which I quickly dodged. The other flew near Angela, but wasn't close enough. That head could get the general area with its smell, but without the sight it couldn't be accurate enough to hit.

It roared, trying to reach up to tear it off. Unfortunately for it, the arms of a T-Rex are way too small. It then tried to use it's tongue, but couldn't get it either.

I took this moment to rush forwards, stabbing my flaming sword straight into it's gut. It roared in pain, but before it could retort Angela grabbed the uncovered head.

She sent a punch towards it's eye, her fist going straight through as it roared in pain. She then sent a kick to the other one, taking care of both eyes.

Kind of brutal.

Angela flew away as it roared in a mixture of pain and anger, randomly swinging its tail as it spun around in a defense mechanism.

As the T-Rex turned its back to me I rushed forwards, jumping onto it's tail. Feeling my weight, the tail flicked upwards to get me off. I flew through the air, flying towards one of the heads of the T-Rex from behind.

My sword cut through its neck as I flew by. Landing onto the ground, the one of the heads of the T-Rex crashed onto the ground, fading into dust as it landed.

The remaining head roared in anger at the death of the first head. Before I could go for a killing blow, I felt a rustle in my pocket.

"Boo?!" I exclaimed. "I thought I left you with Brutus!"

Boo jumped from my pocket, landing onto my shoulder. It then lunged from my shoulder to the T-Rex. It started to climb on it, growing bigger as it started to engulf the giant Corrupted.

It was honestly kind of disturbing, seeing Boo grow really large and eating this T-Rex alive. The T-Rex struggled, but it didn't stand a chance. One Boo was done, it dropped back onto my shoulder, slightly larger than before.

All that was left was that crystal I had cut off.

"So...that just happened." Anna said, shocked.

"...I told you, slimes are horrifying." Dawn muttered.

"No wonder you gained a phobia." Krystal stated.

"You might want to check your [Profile]." Sally suggested.

Alright, open it up please.

My Agility leveled up, and so did [Danger Sense], [Hollow Wanderer], Chains of Holy Fire], and [Eagle Eye].

And Boo leveled up twice to Level 3! I see why the description says it absorbs things to become stronger! It's like my [Gluttony] sub-skill.

I should feed Boo more things, I guess. It'll be tough to feed it Corrupted though, because they fade to dust when they die. Which means that Boo has to eat them alive. Actually, that might not be as hard as I thought it'd be, with what just happened...

I picked up the crystal. It was larger than the ones that we had picked up before, easily larger than my hand. It was about the size of my forearm, so not as large as those leg-sized ones from the cave.

I tried to place it into my [Inventory] with success as it disappeared from my hands. Opening up the [Inventory], I looked to see what it was classified as.

[Inventory]

[Chaos Crystal] - 8 - A crystallization of the chaos magic inside the Corrupted.

[Medium Chaos Crystal] - 1 - A crystallization of the chaos magic inside a larger Corrupted.

[Deathbane Bow] Level 6 - A Bow made from the bones of a Grim Reaper.

[Combat Outfit] Level 1 - An outfit gifted from Madam Webb.

[Firebolt X] Level 2 - The newest motorcycle from the Firebolt line, known for their flaming wheels and intense speeds.

A [Medium Chaos Crystal], huh? It's probably worth more than the smaller ones. So what do those larger ones cost?

And [Iron Sword] leveled up. That weird T-Rex must have given a lot of exp...

"All right, is everybody ready to move on?" Anna asked.

We all nodded. We continued to walk the direction we were heading, leaving the trail of string so that we could get our way back to about where we started.

"So, what was that?" Anna questioned.

"I don't know. I've never seen that in any books." Dawn replied.

"A Duorex." Krystal confidently stated.

"Is that it's name?" Anna asked.

"I just came up with it!" Krystal smiled. "Two heads, and a T-Rex? Duorex!"

"When we get back I'm looking for the official name..." Anna sighed.

"What's wrong with Duorex?!" Krystal exclaimed.

"To be frank...it sounds stupid." Anna stated. "Sorry." She pat Krystal on the shoulder.

"Oh, like Werebeast is any better!" Krystal argued.

"I'm not the one who named them." Anna shrugged.

We continued with our small talk as we trekked through the forest, taking out any Werebeasts that happened to cross us. There weren't many, and they didn't provide any crystals.

We also didn't run into any more Duorex's, which is both a good and a bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Eventually we reached the edge of the forest. Coming out of it we were in a plains, where small hills of purple grass spread across the land. That, and a gaping ravine in the ground.

Wait, a ravine?!

"My god, we actually found it." Dawn muttered in surprise. "How lucky are we?"

"Don't jinx it." Anna replied. "Karma will bite us in the but."

"I don't think that's Karma, that's just Luck." Krystal added. "Luck comes in waves, after all."

"And that is especially why we should stop talking about this." Anna stated.

I watched as Angela took a deep breath, before smiling. "Let's do this."

If Angela was ready to go back to where she was imprisoned, then we were as well. We walked over to the edge of the ravine, taking a path down instead of plummeting down like how I did the first time I came here.

We traveled downwards, reaching the base of the ravine. It was dark, but Angela easily fixed that by lighting her fist on fire and proving us with a light.

And soon enough, we were at the entrance to the cave which I originally found Angela in.
