Dunk was going to drop us off some vehicles, so we could go off-roading. It was much too dangerous to use Hell High.

We have enough to pay Dunk for it, but it'll take most of what we have on us. It's worth it though, and I don't mind. Dunk is doing us a great favor by taking the risk of meeting with us.

We walked towards the rendezvous point John and Dunk had decided on. We were silent, a somber tone hanging over our heads until Anna finally broke it.

"Jack...did you notice one of your eyes is red now?" Questioned Anna.

That's right! My right eye is now red, while my left eye was still blue. There's no doubt that's because of my new demonic discovery.

"You're right." Dawn noticed. "What happened?"

"I...don't know." I lied. "Weird..."

Sapphire glanced towards me.

"Are you okay?" Lilia cutely asked.

"Yeah...I'm fine..." I slowly said. "Thanks for worrying."

I rubbed her head with my hand. In response she swatted my hands away, a small blush on her face as she pouted.

"Don't treat me as a child..." Lilia mumbled.

"I want that..." Krystal whispered, jealous of the head-patting.

"We're getting close." John stated. "Dunk is using a teleportation circle. We just need to set one up ahead."

"Why can't we just set one up here?" Lilia questioned.

"Right, you're new to Hell." John stated. "Throughout Hell are magical streams, which we call leylines. It's what we draw our magical power from."

"Hell has leylines just like Earth." Anna added. "They're located in a spiritual plane, and are parallel to different parts of Hell and Earth."

"Oh, I see." Lilia nodded. "I don't really use magic, so..."

"You're an exorcist...right?" Asked Anna.

"Yeah." Lilia nodded.

"Then how do you fight ghosts if not with magic?" Anna asked.

"Spiritual power." Lilia proudly stated.

We all looked at her blankly.

"That's just magic, isn't it?" John pointed out.

"It is?" Lilia asked, confused.

"Yeah...just a different type of magic." Anna stated.

"Huh." Lilia replied. "Well, I never said I was a good exorcist. I'm still in training, technically."

"No wonder..." John facepalmed. "Wait, we're here."

He pulled out a piece of chalk. It reminded me of the first time he did that, when he created the portal to Hell, back when all of this started.

Using the chalk, he draw a satanic circle onto the rocky ground. Backing up from it, he stared intently at the circle, until the chalk lines burst into flames.

A portal opened up onto the ground, before a 4x4 popped out of it, landing onto the ground. John quickly threw his wallet into the portal, it closing shortly afterwards.

"Will this be enough..?" Worriedly asked Krystal.

I summoned my Firebolt X next to me, climbing onto it. "We have nine people. I can fit two on here, Angela can fly, and the 4x4 can fit four."

"That's seven." Sapphire noted. "We need two more spots."

"We can fit another two people onto the back of the 4x4." John stated, patting the seat which hung out from the back. "While not as safe, it works. And they can hold onto each other for support."

"That works. And not to be a downer, but there's another problem." Sapphire stated, looking over to Brutus.

"Right..." John sweatdropped. "Not to be rude Brutus, but you're large. Not in the fat kind of way, but the broad kind of way."

"...okay." Muttered Brutus.

"Don't worry about it." John smiled, patting his back. "Take it as a compliment."

"So, what do we do?" Dawn wondered. "Brutus won't fit in any of the seats. We could put him on the roof of the 4x4, but..."

We looked over to Brutus. He could be scared by that, especially since that worry is grounded. If he fell off from a bump, he could be seriously injured.

"I could carry him." Angela stated.

"Huh? You could?" John asked.

"Yeah, no biggie." Angela stated.

Her wings and halo came out in a majestic light, reminding us that she was in fact an Angel. She walked behind Brutus, looping her arms under his armpits and pulling him up.

She easily flew into the air, holding Brutus above the ground. She didn't even seem to be winded from the task. Brutus gulped, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

Will he really be alright...?

"Well would you look that." John muttered incredulously. "Let's go then!"

John quickly got into the drivers seat, noticing the key was there. Starting the 4x4, Dawn sat shotgun while Sapphire and Lilia sat into the back seats. Krystal hopped onto the back, gripping onto the bars.

Anna jumped onto the back of my bike, wrapping her arms around my stomach and leaning her head on my back, her breath tickling the back of my neck.

The 4x4 roared to life, driving forwards in a burst of speed. Revving the bike, we launched forwards, driving across the barren ground as the tires lit on fire. John drove ahead of us, Dawn giving him instructions as to what general direction was the desert the Dark Kingdom was located in.

Driving off-road like this, while incredibly bumpy and uncomfortable, was much more safe than going onto Hell High.

Since we're on the run now.

The wind rushed past my face as Anna and I drove in silence. We didn't say anything, just enjoying the temporary calm.

I was left alone with my thoughts, and I couldn't stop imagining her. Madam Webb dying in my arms...

I tried to get it out of my head, but I just couldn't. Especially with how empty my head felt now that Sally had...disappeared.

Maybe she's disgusted with me.

A strange sound suddenly brought me out of my thoughts. Anna turned backwards, letting out a gasp of horror.

[Danger Sense]!

Taking a quick glance backwards, my eyes widened as I saw three helicopters flying in the air behind us, the Diabolos family symbol on its side.

"What?! They have helicopters?! Since when?!" I exclaimed.

"I knew that King Lucifer and some higher nobles were pushing for new advanced technology, but I didn't think they'd make their own helicopters..." Anna gasped.

"How'd they find us...?" I worriedly whispered.

The doors of one of the helicopters opened, a machine gun sitting inside. An armored grunt sat at the seat, turning the gun towards Angela.

"Angela! Move!" Anna and I yelled, but there was no way she could hear us.

Luckily Angela noticed, quickly flying out of the way as bullets impacted the ground with the furious sound of the machine gun shooting filled the air.

I thought people in Hell didn't like using guns!

John sped up, Angela following behind. The bullets started to move towards us, and I quickly sped up to avoid them.

I drove up towards John, clenching the wheel tightly. They were after me. All of my friends were in danger because of me.

I continued to accelerate, now driving right next to John. "Anna." I stated. "Jump onto the 4x4. They're after me, so I'll lure them away."

"..." Anna stayed silent. "No."

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"No!" She yelled, smacking my back. "I'm tired of you trying to do everything by yourself! I'm your girlfriend! I love you! So rely on me, dammit!"

"..." I never thought about it like that.

I just wanted to keep them all safe. I probably should have realized that this was hurting Anna and the others just as much as it was hurting me.

She was my girlfriend. I could count on her. She wasn't some damsel in distress.

"Alright." I chuckled. "We're going to take a detour. Can you call John and let him know?"

"I can try!" Anna grinned. "Let's hope I don't drop my phone!"

I swerved to the side, suddenly taking a different path. If I remembered right, Hell Highway should be this way. While I can't shake them off there, I should be able to slow them down.

Anna dialed John, tightly gripping onto the phone as bullets rained behind us. "What the hell is going on?!" John yelled.

"They found us!" Anna replied. "We're taking a small detour! We'll meet you there!"

"How?! Dawn has the directions!" John screamed.

"I know a way!" I yelled. "You'll probably see it on the news tomorrow! Anyways, don't worry about us! Anna is with me, and we'll be alright!"

"You better!" Dawn growled from the phone.

"We will!" Anna nodded. "Promise!"

"Then be safe. Good luck." Sapphire stated.

The phone hung up, and Anna stashed it into her pocket as she gripped onto me with one arm. In the distance I saw Hell Highway.

"Hold on tight." I stated.

I accelerated towards as Anna's arms wrapped tightly around my stomach. Speeding forwards, we jumped onto Hell High. My Firebolt X landed on a roofed car, driving off and speeding onto the road.

"Sorry!" I yelled back.

The numbers on the Firebolt X were going up like crazy, and we were quickly reaching the fastest we had ever gone. Usually I'd be feeling sick, but the adrenaline pumping through my veins cleared my mind.

The helicopters flew ahead, unvaryingly shooting down bullets onto the highway. Cars swerved out of the way, making sure not to get hit. The other two helicopter doors opened, revealing two more mini guns.

"Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!" I yelled to each car that we passed and almost got hit.

"They can't hear you!" Anna told me.

"I feel sorry!" I replied.

I swerved inbetween the cars, reaching 300 MPH. This was faster than normal in Hell, even though there aren't any specific speed limits.

As we continued to move past car and car, I saw the exit up ahead. The one which lead directly into Lilith City, the capital of Hell.

"Jack...are you crazy?!" Anna exclaimed.

"Trust me!" I replied.

"...okay! I will!" Anna stated.

I drove onto the exit, sharply taking the turn while staying upright. All of that driving to get to Level 20 with the Firebolt X had come into handy!

It didn't take long to get into the city. Driving through, any wanders in the road quickly moved out of the way as I sped past.

I was no longer going 300, but I was definitely going way too quick than what should be accepted in a city. I had never broken the rules like this before.

Driving past, I caught a glimpse of somebody who looked like Skullface with a teenage brown haired girl. It must have been my imagination, Madam Webb had sent Skullface on a mission shortly before...

All of that happened. Skullface was going to be so depressed when he found out...

On a skyscraper was projected of how I was charged with the murder of Duncan and Madam Webb. Duncan had completely threw me under the bus, saving his and his family's own reputation after his death.

It was getting harder to avoid the bullets from the three mini guns as we drove down narrow-ish streets. People quickly went inside, luckily not getting hurt by the guns.

"We need to do something." I stated. "I'm trying to lose them, but no matter what turn I take they keep following us!"

"What's the plan?!" Anna exclaimed.

"We need to lose them! And then take the train to the Dark Empire!" I stated.

"Okay!" Anna replied. "Keep driving! I have an idea!"

Anna held me with one arm, turning herself sideways so she could look behind us. With her free hand she shot out lines of spider-webs, but they didn't reach the helicopters.

"Too far!" Cursed Anna.

She shut her eyes, clenching her fists. I took another turn, and then another, trying to lose these helicopters.

However, they could just fly over the buildings and thus kept onto our trail. At this rate we wouldn't be able to get away, and I was afraid my decision would be the cause of our deaths.

No! Anna can't die because of me! Not after her mother did! Not after I promised her!

I turned into a dead end. I skidded to a stop, cursing to myself. A dead end. I accidentally brought us to a dead end.

I need to do something!

Anna took a deep breath, grabbing the necklace with her hand. She slowly raised her free arm towards the flying helicopters, opening her eyes and revealing their glowing purple aura which oozed out.

Bullets flies towards us, before stopping mid-air with a purple glow. They were held there for a moment, before flying back towards the sender and piercing the helicopters with multiple holes.

A purple glow appeared around a helicopter, forcibly pushing it into another helicopter. The two crashed towards the ground as the other started to smoke, extremely damaged from it's injuries and starting to fall as well. The Diabolos soldiers jumped out of the helicopters, deploying parachutes as the helicopters crashed to the ground somewhere in the city with a large explosion.

They survived, thank goodness.

But besides that! Anna!

I looked towards her with shock. She started to sway, before fainting and falling against me. I caught her, placing the [Firebolt X] back into my [Inventory].

Carrying her bridal style, I decided I'd ask her about this later. What she did was incredible, strange, and awesome, but now was not the time.

I took a deep breath, letting my Angel wing and halo come out. I would refrain on the demon wing in case of cameras.

I was going to keep my girlfriend safe. For both her sake, my sake...

And for Madam Webb.
