Demon King Lucifer stared at me with a snarl upon his face, while my friends looked on in a mixture of emotions. Surprised, confused, and relieved all blended together in the span of few seconds.

"Jackson!" I smiled as I heard their voices again.

I stared down Demon King Lucifer, summoning my [Frozen Iron Sword]. He dashed towards me at incredible speeds, already sending a fist towards my face.

I moved out of the way, sending a swing across his neck only to miss as he ducked under. He sent another fist towards my chest only for me to continue following through with my missed swing, using my momentum to move out of the way in just the nick of time.

I planted my foot into the ground, swinging my sword back around for a powerful attack. Once again Demon King Lucifer dodged it with his speed, but before he could counterattack his cape was grabbed from behind.

Sapphire, in human form with her dragon claws, pulled him back with his cape. It ripped from Demon King Lucifer's armor, flying harmlessly away.

But she gave me just the distraction I needed. My [Chains of Holy Fire] were already wrapped around my free hand. I threw the flaming chains forwards, wrapping it around his neck as he growled in pain.

He gripped at the chains, hands burning as he clawed at them and actually ripped it off and breaking the end of the chain. That's a first!

He glared at me, taking a quick step forwards onto to suddenly be slammed into by Angela. She grabbed him and chucked him into the sky. I flapped my wings and flew up after him, throwing my chain from a distance and wrapping it around his body.

I yanked the chain downwards with all the strength I could gather mid-air, sending him hurtling back down to the ground at a rapidly increasing velocity. And then, suddenly, a pair of demon wings sprouted from his back.

He took control of his free fall with the skill of an expertise flier, avoiding crashing into the ground and instead soaring back into the sky at high speeds.

I tried to dodge him as he flew towards me, but he was just quicker with his wings than I am with mine. He gripped my wrist, twisting me and chucking me downwards towards the ground.

I was at much too low of a height and quick of a speed to pull off the same maneuver that he just had, leaving me to slam into the ground.

He quickly landed down in front of me, his assault stopped as he was pincered by Angela and Sapphire. He outmaneuvered both of their strikes, gripping Sapphire by the tail and slamming her into Angela to send them both sprawling.

I was already up once again, this time a multitude of me surrounding Demon King Lucifer. Thanks for the assist, Krystal!

"This trick again?" He frowned. He brought his hands out, igniting them in fire. With a giant spin he threw fire all around him, taking out each and every illusion.

I ran through the fire quickly and relatively unharmed thanks to my [Fire Resistance] skill. He was already ready for me, a flaming kick moving towards my face.

I tilted my head to the side and grabbed his foot. I threw it to the side, throwing him off balance and sending a powerful punch into his armored gut. He slid back a few feet, a random cross bouncing off of his face as he let out a frustrated growl.

"Do you seriously think..." He caught the next cross effortlessly, throwing it back towards its source with at least double the speed. "...I'd get beaten by a bunch of kids?!"

[Danger Sense] screamed at me as he was upon me again, sending fist after fist towards me. I tried my best to dodge them, but his speed was too quick for me to keep up with each of his strikes even with [Danger Sense] warning me of where they were coming from.

Angela, fists coated in holy fire, punched him across the face as he was focused on me, sending him stumbling back and rubbing his jaw. As Sapphire appeared again and started attacking him as well, a sharp pain suddenly infiltrated my test.

I coughed blood against arm, the amount worse than before. In the distance Angela and Sapphire were sent backwards as Demon King Lucifer exploded into a pillar of raging flames. As it died down he looked even more demonic than before, with crimson red skin and even longer horns. A spiked tail came from his back and his hands were claws.

Flames raged all over his body, but didn't do any damage to him at all.

This is getting bad. He doesn't seem winded at all but we're slowly losing steam. We can still fight for quite a while, but at the rate he's not get tired at, we'll be done for in time.

I stared down at my bloodied arm from my own body tearing itself apart.

No. I won't allow it.

I took a deep breath, calming myself down.

"In order to have balance within your body, you must first have balance within your soul."

Focus, Jackson, focus.

For a moment I closed my eyes, relaxing my breathing and focusing on myself. And I could feel as something was happening.

[B3r739k] was activating again.

I opened my eyes, and everything seemed sharper and clearer. I could more clearly see how they were fighting, noticing little details that I hadn't before.

The skill activated...but this time, finally, I'm in control.

I rushed forwards, sending my [Chains of Holy Fire] at him again. They wrapped around his arm, which he used to yank me towards him at a quick velocity.

I allowed him to pull me close, swinging my [Frozen Iron Sword] at him. He dodged as I expected, and in an instant my sword was swinging back.

He barely dodged my second attack, a line of red appearing on his cheek, though it wasn't easy to tell.

I felt stronger, faster, and more powerful. So this is what it always felt like when I was in [B3r739k] mode.

I swung my blade at a quicker pace then I had yet to so far, giving Demon King Lucifer a hard time before he opted to blast into the sky.

"I will incinerate all of you right now!" He screamed, raising his hands above his head to create a humongous fireball.

Images played through my head as I reimagined my battle with Duncan. Though Demon King Lucifer has created a much larger fireball than Duncan did.

He threw it down towards us at high speeds, the fireball rapidly approaching all of us.

"Gluttony." I whispered, bringing my demonic arm up. The eye on the back of the hand snapped awake as the mouth in the palm opened wide.

I grunted as the magic stared to flood my system as I continued to absorb the insane amount. The fireball disappeared into my arm, but not without consequence. I fell onto my knee, heaving from the overtake of magic energy.

With a furious rage and a violent scream he descended upon me. I tried to get back up to my feet to fight, but I wasn't going to make it in time.

Anna jumped in front of me, blocking Demon King Lucifer's attack. He jumped backwards, glaring at Anna.

"You." He hissed. "You should be dead."

Huh? I looked around, confused about what he was saying, when I saw Anna in the distance. Wait, then who is this person in front of me...?

She glanced backwards, and although her face looked different, she had that unmistakable air about her.

"...Madam Webb?" I shakily questioned. "...how?"

She smiled.

"You can call me Destiny, Jackson." She stated. "Now let's kick his ass."
