"You're not trying to take a dump, you dumbass" I explained, hitting the top of Jackals head with a karate chop making the kid jolt in surprise. The little thief pouted his lips and mumbled a sorry, rubbing his head in doing so.

"Don't apologise for silly mistakes. Correct it and learn from them." I lightly flicked in between his brow. Jackal said nothing as he rubbed the spot I had flicked, with two of his fingers, his eyes continuing to watch me, still annoyed he can't get the position of the Choku Zuki right, when it's the most basic move.

"Now copy what I'm doing exactly. Legs spread a little wide but not far apart, or it just looks like your trying to do the front splits" I began to explain again as I demonstrated with my body. "Bend your knees and hold your firm, with your hands like this". My hands were clenched in a tight fist beside my waist and ready to punch.

"You look so stupid" Homura commented while he watched from the dying embers of the campfire with those amber eyes of his as if he was watching a movie. He lay on his stomach, paw over the other paw like a little dive dog he is.

Homura looked bored and the only thing he thought he could do to entertain himself his mock my training.

I rolled my eyes at the fox and still continued what I was doing, ignoring him in doing so.

Jackal's eyes focused on me and began to analyse me from top to bottom, his expression was stone like and determined to get it right this time.

Once the little thief finished studying me, he redid his position and posture. "Like this?" he looked up at me with bright silver eyes that beamed faith in his stance.

I studied his pose, the way he held his hands, the distance of how far he spread his legs and his upper body that stood confidently.

He waited for my response

"Good now-"

"I did it!" Jackal beamed joyfully, his mouth wide into an open grin ad his silvers shimmered.

"Yeah, you did" I exclaimed bluntly, not even caring about something so stupid.

His a dumb a kid.

That's all I gotta say.

"Well, congratulations on you brat" his sarcastic tone sly as ever when he spoke "now why don't you run along into the forest and never come back. Hmm. Saves me the trouble of looking at your pathetic state" The fox said with a grimly humour.

My clenched fist beside my waist throbbed, craving to punch that annoying fox back to the hole he came from.

"Seems like Homura is happy with my accomplishment!" Jackal said with an enthusiastic tone.

With a blank look, I glanced over at Homura and locked my icy blue eyes with the displeased stare of the fox's amber eyes. We both stared at each as if we just heard the dumbest thing.

For a slight second, just a second, I had wanted to tell the kid the truth but with such a golden heart I have I decided not to and lower Jackal's self-esteem.

"I have never found such amusement in watching how dumb and naïve this human brat is" Homura's mischievous eyes watched slyly at Jackal.

"Homura said he is very proud of you and that you should keep it up" I lied to Jackal and watched his expression brighten up and he grinned widely, revealing his teeth.

His so easily fooled.

Do I feel bad lying to this kid?

No.

Homura on the other hand was not very pleased with what I had said, he rose up and decided otherwise "I said no shit! STOP CREATING SUCH IMPRESSIONS OF ME TO THE HUMAN BRAT!" Homura shouted back and startled Jackal from his spot. "I don't him to goggle next to me whenever his in his sad pathetic state"

I sneered annoyingly, glancing my gaze to the side, to the crystal-clear lake behind us and away from Homura angry glare and Jackal's questionable look he gave the orange fox then to me.

It was sudden rush of uneasiness that flowed past me and the hair on the back my neck rose, sending a shiver down my spine. The wind had suddenly changed, and its weary vibe made my skin crawl, tasting bitter on my tongue as it did. The unsettling feeling of the air's change made me uncomfortable.

Something was definitely wrong, and I could feel it.

"Big sister Artemis?"

I neared a finger near my mouth, mouthing a shush indicating silence from Jackal while my eyes darted through the surrounding forest.

The forest had become silent with only the creaking of the tree trunks echoing and the rustles of leaves chimed through the gentle waves of the wind like angel bells, creating a tuneless melody.

The singing of birds came to a stop, not one tweet to be heard among the breeze.

It was as if the forest had became still and silent.

"Something big is flying our way".

My whole body had stiffen in horror and the thin hairs on the back of my neck rose when I heard the soft murmur of Jackal that was like a ghosts whisper in the wind.

My blue eyes instantly shifted its gaze to the thief who stood like a statue, quiet and face slight pale while his silver eyes was round and wide, pupils shaking uncontrollably.

It took me a moment to realise that the brat I had must of felt something in the wind.

It was not of hesitation when I sensed myself flinch to the handle of my Katana, feet suddenly spreading itself apart from each other to create a defensive stand.

Ears perked up and listening closely for any unfamiliar sounds.

Eyes scanning the cloud filled sky like crazy, searching for anything monstrous hidden in the clouds that soared slowly above us.

Fingers clenched tightly on the Katana's handle.

There it was.

Faint sounds of wind fighting against wind, the sharp hurling of the air that rattled the very sky.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard familiar sounds of thunderous hurricanes created by enormous leathery wings of a giant yet mythical reptile.

A Dragon.

I stared aimlessly in the sky, searching for the one thing amongst the white balls of white that headed East while the beating of my heart created a fake illusion of the golden dragon flying to us. The one I left behind in the dark forest with the annoying witch. Demarcus. My mind had instantly thought of him changing his course from home to Ventus. To tag along with me just like Homura did.

My delusional thought was gone when a red leather wing cut through the cloud, and a shimmer of a red metal flashed before my eyes.

More wings were seen cutting the clouds from above.

"I-I'm t-too y-young and b-b-beautiful to die now" Homura gulped quietly, hearing his voice tremble under his terrified tone.

"Stay low and don't make a sound" I instructed with a gesturing hand. If they are wild dragons, I don't want them to think were an enemy or their lunch.

If we stay quiet and stay low, they might just fly by us not knowing there are a few good-looking beings resting below them.

However, if that doesn't go well, I might commit something unspeakable.

The action I have sworn to myself and master that I will never commit even in the face of danger.

Run.

Run like a coward from a bunch of Dragons.

I'm not an idiot to think I can take down God knows how many of those giants, fire breathing reptiles.

And no way am I going to try to kill dragons with this state of a body and not to mention I never in my whole entire life killed a dragon before and neither am I planning to especially since it's a dragon and I'm fond of dragons. It's like killing Demarcus but probably an angrier, bigger, wilder, uncompromising, and redder versions of the delicate and kind-hearted golden dragon.

And also, the fact that there is more than one. It would be a fire wasteland before their done with me and the other two dimwits.

I don't know how to control or summon my mystery dragon power either.

So that's mostly out of the question until I figure how it works.

Homura and jackal were dead silent and so was I, as we waited for them to fly past us without diving down from the clouds they hid above.

It was when I heard a familiar voice that shouted a name I dared not hear again. It had had struck a sparking core in me that resulted me to tremble in pit of frustration.

"LYKOS YOU FUCKING DOG SHIT!"

"Oh shit" Homura said suddenly, his voice grim.

"Fuck" the curse word slipped out of Jackals lips so casually as he stood next to me, mouth wide agape and eyes watching with a puzzled expression as a familiar figure rapidly fall from the sky as if some fallen angel was blasted from heaven.

It was like some slow mode scene from a movie as the three of us watched him fall down towards the lake.

"Run"

I didn't even watch that douche bag plunge in the crystal water of the giant lake neither hesitated for a single sec. Turning 180˚ around and snatching the back collar of my haori that Jackal still wore, I made a bolt like a crazy woman to the campfire as I dragged the thief behind me who had squealed with a startle.

'Fuck this shit. I'm out of here"
