It was the speechless sight that had Ciel wide eyed in shock.

An unconscious little fairy laid slump in the bubbly goo, covered in a green sticky acid from head to toe. The shade of her skin turned to decaying looking colour and her blue faded petal dress was torn and burnt patches were left from acidic substance that wrapped itself around little fairy like a blanket.

The edges of the fairy's long blond hair had burnt off and scars ugly burns were left all over her fragile petit body.

Her wings didn't shimmer like fragile glass as he saw with the other fairies, it had become dull, and the once beautiful patterns were fading every second the fairy's breathing slowed.

Ignoring the horrid stench of the decaying body of the Clumper Jack and the gooey green insides that made everything the keeper had eaten run up his throat, Ciel had his hand down into the gutted-out stomach. He winced when the sting of the acidic goo burnt his skin like prickling fire sparks, regretting instantly for taking off his glove.

He was dreaded in anger to realise that the fairy had to go through such agony inside the toad and to die slowly and painfully. He wished he had kept the monster toad alive so he could have gutted it while it was alive so it too could feel what it's like to feel pain.

Ciel had pulled out the fairy from her horrid gooey grave and held her delicate body on his palm. The fairy's petit body was smaller than Ciel's palm, but it was like a giant bed she laid on.

Her face scrunched in agony, brow creasing and lips twisting to form a painful expression. Her littles hands twitched when the pain eroded her body once more. Her twinkling melody wasn't enchanting, but it was off tune and rusty. Seeing how the fairy was in still wincing continuously from the stinging burn, he placed her down on the green grass, gently and quickly.

Ciel didn't let another second go to waste and began to take off the brown vest off then his white shirt, and immediately dipped the white shirt into the waters of the stream, letting it soak in as much water to wash off the acidic stomach acid on the fairy.

With care and his gentleness, Ciel wrapped his wet white sleeved shirt around the small slender body of the fairy, hoping the cold water cooled off the acidic feeling. He began to softly stroke the green goo off her body, making sure he didn't rub the material hard against the red burnt marks on her fair skin.

Ciel could sense that time was running out for the little fairy. He felt his heart sinking down and the beating echoing in his ears widely. His hands trembled faintly; he didn't want to see another creature suffer.

His own breath clogged his tighten throat when the fairy's chest stopped rising and the colour of her wings faded to an unsettling grey. He bit the inside of his cheek, preventing himself from crying.

"Please get up" Ciel mumbled softly, "Don't die".

Alaric had peered his head from the side of Ciel, his emerald eyes gazing warmly at the fairy who lay dead in the midst of Ciel's white soaking wet shirt. Her skin visibly red from the burning of the green goo. Her eyelids shut peacefully as if finally, she was free from the torture of the fiery burn.

"I'm sorry Alaric." He choked back a cry, his glistening blue eyes coated with tears. A magical fairy died because he took too long. "I failed to save her just like Demarcus"

The ancient wolf did nothing to comfort the keeper but instead blew gently at the fairy. The air he blew moved the few moist hair strands way from the fairy's face and in result the wolf's soft wave of breeze made the little fairy shiver.

Ciel had forgotten to breath when the fairy flinch from the sudden warm breeze that turned cold because of her soaking wet skin. The glass like wings sprouted gently up making faint twinkle sounds like bells. Slowly the little magical creature opened her eyes.

Bright blue jewels that was very visible to see for something so small.

"A-Alaric. H-How did you-" his words was cut off by a loving lick from the wolf which swept away the salty tears from his face. Ciel smiled warmly, his mesmerising ocean blues twinkling with delight.

The fairy however had a different reaction to everything.

With sudden fear and terror, the fairy began to wriggle her way out of the wet material, struggling to find an opening to be set free. The constant bells rang loudly, it was the tune that rang out fear.

"Woah! Hey." Said Ciel, not surprised that the fairy would act this way. "I'm not going to hurt you" he spoke gently.

However, the fairy continued to break free ignoring the words of Ciel. Her legs tried to push away the palm that Ciel held her.

The keeper realising it was useless to reason with the fairy, let her gently down and when he did the fairy jumped out from inside the white top and sprang free.

The red marks on her fair skin made Ciel cringe, and her blue petal dress was torn and burnt.

The fairy tried to escape by flying. Her wings that weren't healed yet flapped violently making her fly a few inches from the grassy ground, but it didn't fly her up the way she wanted, and the fairy fell down to land on something hard yet comforting.

Ciel had caught the fairy with his free hand before she landed hard and hurt herself even more. He didn't mean to laugh but his chuckle escaped him easily.

"You, ok?" He questioned with a gentle tone that made the fairy look up at him with her gorgeous blue eyes that stared at him motionlessly.

The fairy stared at Ciel for a moment, analysing the human who saved her from the fall and her death, whose laugh was like gentle melody to her ears. His charming blue eyes stared back at her too, those ocean jewels like eyes that gazed at her with such an enchanting sight turned the terrified fairy into a blushing mess. Red cheeks enlightened her face like a ripe tomato, and she quickly covered her face embarrassingly with her hands to hide away from the most handsome and only human she ever laid eyes on.

"I'm sorry if I had scared you" Ciel apologised politely, his tone of voice kind and warm. "I didn't mean to startle you like that" he lowered his hand to the ground so the fairy would get off if she was uncomfortable.

The fairy jumped off his hand and turning away from his view.

Ciel was a little a saddened about it, but he didn't take it to heart of her actions. He didn't blame the fairy for hating humans because he would do too if he was in her shoes. "I know you're not fond of humans and want to leave as soon as possible especially far away from me, but I think it's best if Elisaria checks up on you" as if the witches name was a cure to the world, the fairy turned her head slowly back to Ciel's attention, instead her eyes widened in shock when her blue eyes locked with the ancient creature standing beside Ciel like a guardian animal.

Alaric's green intelligent forest eyes looked down at her with an aura of a king that made the fairy immediately fall to her knees, bowing her head shamefully avoiding the wolf's serene gaze.

The sound of bells twinkled again, and the fairy's wings twitched to a close.

With a surprised expression and puzzled feeling, Ciel watched Alaric approach the fairy calmly, stepping gracefully along the green grass with a dry patter of his steps and when he came near to the sullen fairy, Alaric lowered his head down to the fairy's level.

With a little light nudge of his nose the fairy twinkled brightly. It was a gesture of forgiveness from the ancient wolf that made Ciel idolise the wolf in awe. The two magical beings exchange words that Ciel didn't understand.

His eyes widened in realisation as it dawned upon him.

"No way" he murmured. Alaric point ears perked up and he turned his head to look back the shocked state of Ciel.

It was the stories that Jackal had told him when he was only a young child, the stories of ancient guardians of the forest who protected and guarded the forest from the cruel darkness and kept the balance of the forest life and light stable. They made sure rivers flowed through the forest grounds, the trees sing in the spring and the mountains roar.

Traveling where the wind would guide them.

It was stories that awed the young keeper to believe that they were still out there but in hiding but as he grew up, he had come to realise there weren't any because of his kind and the dark users they were gone, except for Alaric.

Ciel felt a speck of warmth on the back of his hand. Looking down, the fairy had placed a hand on his and her bright blue eyes glowed like jewels in the night sky. It showed her sincerity towards him, the light in her eyes were warm and it made Ciel smile.

The smile that haloed a bright light around him, outlining his perfect jawline and his glistering blue eyes like the turquoise colour of an enchanting sea.

The fairy seeing this became a blushing mess again, her cheeks heated up and she turned around to avoid being seen by the handsome human. She stormed off because of her racing heart and headed towards the flowing stream.

Ciel titled his head to the side confused on what just happened. Did he do something to make her angry? He wondered, rubbing the back of his neck as he watched the little fairy approached the rushing water.

Before he could say something to stop her from plunging into the water that was too dangerous for her to swim in, the little fairy dived in with a faint plop.

With a rush, Ciel crawled to the edges of the stream. The blue water acted like a mirror and reflected his wavering image of himself. Ciel's eyes darted about the water, searching for the fairy.

He could not find any sign of the blond fairy anywhere in the water.

He looked back at the ancient wolf with desperate eyes. "Alaric!" The wolf however showed no sign of emotions in his eyes but started at him as he stood there in the light breeze as it flowed in the colours of his furs to create that forest like illusion on his coat of fur and watched everything from afar.

Turning back into the water for another go of looking for her, something zipped from out of the water which startled Ciel.

His body froze in place and his muscles stiffened. Eyes wide and gaping at what he was seeing. A water barrier circled around the little blond fairy. The enchanting glow surrounded the fairy making her blond hair glow like the golden sun, her wings wasn't the dull grey colour as before, it now shone with different variety of glittering transparent colours when it flapped, and her fair skin glowed without a trace of those ugly red burnt marks left from the green acidotic goo.

It was as if the stream's water healed her.

The water that circled her stopped and it dropped back into the water, returning to the stream to continue its course.

It was now that the keeper understood that the fairy was one with the water. Her power and her healer.

Ciel was speechless, a daze he was in, but his eyes were locked with the innocent aura of the fairy who stared back with a little warm smile across her face. The fairy's wings flapped, and she began to approach the astonished orange haired keeper. Her long blond hair waved with the rhythm of the light breeze as she neared to Ciel.

The sun began to set behind her, the purple and orange faded hue painted the sky, creating a beautiful effect from behind and enlightening her petite body to glow vibrantly.

Soon the little blond haired water fairy was an inch away from Ciel's stunned face, making it clear to see her face now than before. A small button nose, dimples formed on both of her cheeks when she is smiling and perfect almond shaped eyes with those beautiful bright blue jewels engraved inside.

She was a beautiful fairy he had ever laid eyes on and the first one too.

The water fairy giggled behind her hand and a sweet ringing of bells rang out resulting in Ciel to smile back in relief, his ocean eyes glittered like sparking surface of the water as the moon began to rise to its rightful place in the sky after the sun that resigned for the night. His cheeks lightened with a soft pale pink. It was his relaxed and calm expression that shone the brightest in the lights of the moon.

"Well, I guess this is a goodbye then" Ciel said with a small smile. It was time for the fairy to leave and he knew that. It was a little sad for him to part ways already even though they were never going to see each other again, but he had no other reason to keep this fairy here any longer. So, with that he stood up, dusting down any dirty, twigs or leaves that were stuck on his brown trousers.

The water fairy watched with a sullen expression, her lips trembling, and her eyes beginning to coat itself with her tears. Her little delicate hands cupped together near her shattering heart as she watched Ciel look down at her one last time with his warm and charming smile that captured her racing heart.

"You should return home. Your fairy friends are probably worried about you and wondering where you are" his voice was like seraph's lullaby when he spoke to the fairy for the last time before he turned and left, with his soaking white shirt hanging down his arm, leaving a dripping trail of water.

Ciel rubbed the side of his head, his calloused fingers entwining with his bright orange hair as he made his way to Alaric, with a sigh of relief. He finished paying his debt to the witch and now he can go back to Argentum and save Demarcus, Ralph, and Rebecca before they are executed for crimes they never committed.

Ciel's hand clenched into a tight fist and his eyes turned dark instantly. It shadowed his face from the natural silver light of the moon and a sparking heat in his fingertips began to spark a blue flame from within, that sored through his veins in lightning speed. He can't let those bastards get what they want for their mere entertainment. He promised the others he will save Demarcus and he wont fail this time.

The keeper watched as the sun light drifted away in the abys and his shadow enlarge itself to form with the rest of the giant shadows left by the tall trees before the natural light of the sun disappeared leaving nothing behind except for its darkness and it's giant ball of silver light in the sky.

The crescent moon in the sky, surrounded by dozens of sparking stars had brought the forest to life. It's silver light had shone down upon the dark forest and turned it into a haven of light. Night-flowers glowed in transparent hues of blue, purple, and teal making the waters of the stream, sparkle a thousand diamonds dancing on top of the blue surface.

Tree leaves had their own glow of green as fireflies pasted by. Flower bells lit up with a pinkish colour and it the gentle breeze made them sing a tuneful melody of the night.

Blue ocean eyes was enchanted at how magical the forest was in the night then during the day. How it glowed like balls of crystals left to enchant every corner of the forest.

Alaric who was standing in the midst of the enchanting green glow made the ancient wolf seem far more beautiful to the eyes then ever before. His coat of fur was like the green waves of magic that floated high in the sky that he seen once when he had travelled to Isvand to deliver the Golden Orga dragon eggs. Yet his intelligent green eyes were like shining emerald stones that reflected a beautiful ray of lushes dark green.

His aura was like a true guardian of the forest as he stood firm and high, waiting for the dragon keeper to come so they could leave and return back to the cottage.

Making his way to the guardian wolf who waited patiently for Ciel, the keeper halted his step and turned his head back to see of the fairy had flew off, back to her home. But he was surprised at what he was seeing that he sent him dumbfounded.

The blond water fairy was not far from where he was. Floating in eye level with her hands behind her back and head down shamefully like an innocent child who did something bad and is being punished for it.

What did the fairy want by following him?

Did she want to say something? No, she cant say anything to him because the only thing he will hear is the twinkling of her bells.

Did she want to give him something in return for saving her life?

So, what was it though?

The keeper though to himself while he analysed the delicate little fairy whose golden hair shone like gold and her wings shimmered like a thousand crystals in the sky. The swirly patterns on the glass like wings were shining brightly every time the wings flapped together.

Even her blue faded dress had an outline of a glow of its own that made the fairy stand out like colourful lantern, lit up to create another enchanting light for the night.

"Uhh~" Ciel awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck with a sluggish posture, not knowing what to say or do right in that second. "Is there something the matter?" he first stared out.

The fairy flew a little closer, her feet rubbing with each other as if she was uncomfortable with the green vines wrapped around her feet and legs.

Ciel stood still even more baffled then before when he suddenly felt the warm presence of Alaric beside him with his whole body overshadowing him completely as he stood tall. Alaric's intelligent forest green eyes glanced down at Ciel who looked back with a curious glint in his ocean eyes that desperately wanted answers.

It was for a moment when Alaric turned his attention away from the dragon keeper and back at the water fairy who was still floating patiently for a response that Ciel didn't know what for when he suddenly realised what Alaric was trying to indicate.

His eyes widened and his mouth opened dry "She wants to come with me?" he murmured softly with his dumbfounded expression.

The fairy brightened up with her posture straightening into a beaming aura as a joyful tune of her bell sounds radiated out and she zipped towards the keeper startling him. She circled around Ciel with the same tune of joy. Her dazzling wings sparkled with, leaving the trail of gold fairy dust behind before it dissolving into nothing.

The water fairy appeared in front of Ciel's face with her smile a wide that formed her little dimples in both cheeks while her blue gem eyes looked happily at the stunned Ciel who was completely confused on the situation.

Ciel was utterly shocked on what he just agreed with. His mind went hazy and his mouth wide agape, not even able to utter a single word from the shock.

A fairy companion.

That has never been heard before.

Never in human history.

Could he be the first?

The fairy giggling behind her hand ever so sweetly, regarded the stunned handsome human and made herself comfortable on his shoulder. Plopping herself on his shoulder and dangling her feet down as she waited for him to walk.

Ciel blinked back to reality and glanced at the pink cheeked fairy who was happily dangling her vined shoe feet while faint beautiful bells rang out from her.

She was humming to herself.

"Well, uhh..." it was an awkward start for him. "I guess I should introduce myself since I never did which was probably very rude of me" Ciel managed to form a clumsy smile that got a sweet and warm smile from the fairy return. "My name is Ciel"

The fairy's eyes lit up and her cheeks went a bright red before she quickly cupped her cheeks that made Ciel blink in confusion. "You, ok?" he questioned with a small chuckle.

The fairy looked back, her the bright red colour on her face had seized and she could focus her eyes on his again with feeling her cheeks heat up again. She answered him, but her words was more of twinkling bells in the ears of the handsome human she came learn to be named Ciel.

"Maybe we should get Elisaria to translate"

-------------------

Hello, Hello my dear wattpad readers, Sorry for the late update and the update that happened before it.

That was an accident.

I didn't mean to press publish. I was trying to save it and I didn't realise that I had published until I got a notification on wattpad from someone who voted on the chapter and I was like What. The. Fuck. Did. This. Person. Hack. Into. MY ACCOUNT.

yeaahhhhh~

To the people who read the chapter before it was finished.

You lucky little shits got a head start than the rest of the readers.

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this chapter because I didn't.

I hated writing this one.

That's why it took a little time to get it updated.

However I'm excited for the next one because a whole load of shit- information is going to said by the witch and such and such.

I was planning on finishing this yesterday but some dimwit decided to strike a volleyball directly on my head and my dumbass thought I could dig it but my head decided otherwise and got in the way.

This is why I fucking hate PE.

Thank god it's not compulsory next year. I can go to school without being forced to do PE two days each week.

bleh.

Yeah I had a terrible headache the whole day especially on the day when I had an English text response to do on a stupid, boring and irritating book called Tracks (It's a shit book. Don't read it. No one in my year level read it because it was that bad. Fucking don't want to read about some depressed chick who has some sort of obsession of taming wild camels and walking 17000 miles or Kilometre in the Australian outback for some unknown reason that I don't know about because I wasn't going to waste my time on a dumb book that was written like 50 years ago)

Enough about tracks.

Anyway I wanted to ask my English teacher not to do it because you can't write a whole essay with a headache and so I wanted to sleep in her class in hopes my headache goes away like I did by my humanities class because my teacher was concerned about my health, but instead my English forced me to go to the doctors because she was concerned that I would get a concussion. My other teacher on the other hand wanted me to go to the hospital. Yeah no I didn't wasn't gonna waste my time and sit in the hospital for hours until it was my turn. Plus I just got hit in the head with a volleyball not a metal pole. Sometimes people are just to much. In the end I went to the doctors for a check up. Was nothing in the end and just got a note from my doctor to prove that I went so my teacher could shut up.

Ok enough about that, moving on bitc-

So like thanks for reading and staying this far into the story because if it was me and I was just some reader on wattpad reading this, I would literally give up half way through and go 'fuck this shit. The author is taking to long'

🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

I know my story is too long. It wasn't my intention to write such a long story. I was actually going to write it a simple adventure story but my wild imagination took the best of me.

So I ended up with this.

Though I'm thankful for everyone's patience.

I love you guys 🥹😘🥹😘🥹

Sadly my updates are gonna more slower because I just started my first job and I'm heading to year 11 next which means I will be paying attention to my studies more than I will with my book.

However my story won't be dropped or be left on hiatus.

So don't worry.

Anyway moving on to the bigger news.

I got myself another fan art to add to my wall of 'The villainess only wants to go home' fanarts.

So exciting. I got like what 3 or 4 I can't remember.

This one is actually from one my active readers.

And IM SO EXCITED TO SHARE WITH THE REST OF YOU GUYS ON WHAT I RECEIVED FROM ijustwantedcookies.

I actually really love those cute boots they drew. And the background, now that is Aesthetically pleasing background 😝😝😝 But seriously though I LOVE IT. I REALLY LOVE THE HAORI DESIGN AND HER KATANA. It's chefs kiss 😘😘😘 THANK YOU SO MUCH ijustwantedcookies for the beautiful and amazing art you drew of Diana/Artemis. I really appreciate the effort you put on it and I will keep it in my phone and iPad and on my wall for the rest of my life until I die. I can't explain how I love Diana's expression, been staring at for a whole five minutes. It reminds me of evil grin I was pulling off when I was writing the draft of a certain someone's death.

Anyway

Thank you my dear reader. I luv you 🥹🥹🥹

As always thanks every for reading and stay tuned for the next chapter

Bye bye

Yuki wants to sleep now.
