3rd POV

Marley woke the next morning with a headache. Probably from sleeping on the ground.

But her irritation vanished when she looked at her bed.

The child and the baby were still sleeping soundly and Marley couldn't help but smile at the two precious children.

Sighing she got up and went out of her room. She was hoping to find some food for the two.

She walked quietly through the halls and to the kitchen.

The only people she saw were servants and other staff members getting ready for the royals day.

It was still early in the morning so most people were still asleep.

After getting lost for about 10 minutes Marley finally found her way to the kitchen.

Though there weren't very many people there. There were only about 4 or 5 people there and they were all cleaning the tableware.

Realising that the chefs probably weren't up yet Marley decided to make something herself.

Marley had asked one of the servants if there was any kind of recipe she could use.

They said no but offered to write one down that they knew. And Marley agreed.

Eventually Marley got started, mixing and baking the products she found around the kitchen. It took her a good amount of time, considering the fact that she spilled a couple of times and had to ask for help.

Once she was finally finished she thanked the staff and made her way back to her room, a tray of food in her hands.

However just as she turned the corner she ran into someone, almost tripping and spilling the food.

She had expected it to be one of the queens but when she turned around she was surprised to see the small child from the night before.

The child looked sad and a little scared. Marley looked down at her quizzically, before putting the tray down and kneeling down to the child. . . . Heather POV {10 minutes before}

I couldn't sleep.

That much was clear, I had tossed and turned all night but I couldn't seem to stay asleep long enough. Eventually I just got up.

I knew it was early in the morning, the sun just barely peeking over the horizon.

I looked over and saw the other two asleep. Demitri cuddling up to Lea as Lea brought and arm protectively around her.

I smiled slightly before getting up. I closed the door quietly and walked the halls. Making my way to the kitchen, I was irritated and needed some water.

I was about to turn a corner when a recognizable voice sounded in my ears.

"What are you doing up so early?"

It was Marley. At first I thought she was talking to me, until I heard another voice, only this one was new to me.

"I woke up and you weren't there, I got scared so I came looking for you,"

I could recognize the voice as a child's and I assumed it to be the little girl from yesterday.

"Well I was making you guys some food, though it took me longer then I should have,"

"What kind of food?"

I knew that eaves dropping was probably not the best idea but I was curious,

"Just some bread, fruits and one of the servants helped me make a scone,"

"What's a scone?"

"Oh umm it's like a pastry that has fruit in the middle"

"Pastry? Mom never let us eat those, she said those were to expensive,"

I couldn't tell why but the child sounded sad when she said that

"Your mother?"

Marley had asked

"Well I guess she was my mother"

"What do you mean by that?"

I could hear the pity in Marleys voice, I too was curious about what she said

"I don't have a mom anymore,"

There was a moment of silence, I could tell that the information was unexpected though I wasn't ready for what had happened next

"Do you miss your mother?"

"Not really,"

"W-why is that?"

"Well I suppose I miss our grandma, she would come over and watch us while mom was sleeping,"

"Sleeping?"

"Yeah she would always fall asleep after drinking the dark liquid,"

"Dark liquid?"

"Mom called it alcohol, she drank to much one night,"

I could hear the child's voice get quieter as she spoke the last part.

I felt bad for the child, she seemed so young and yet she had to experience that.

"Well I suppose if you want, we can be your new family,"

I was a little caught off guard when Marley said that

"Really!"

"Well I would need permission from the queens, but I would take full responsibility for you two, we need to stick together after all,"

"Why's that?"

There was silence once more, I assumed it was Marley contemplating if she wanted to continue

"Well you see I don't have any family either, I lost my mother too,"

"You did? How?"

The child seemed curious now, however so was I

"Well you see she was.... Killed, there was someone who had to much power,"

I could hear the strain in Marleys voice as she talked, I could feel myself growing worried for her.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to ask and make you sad,"

"No it's ok, you didn't know,"

I could tell Marley was trying to cheer herself up.

"Do you miss her? Do you miss all of them?"

I was shocked when the child asked this she seemed really mature for her age

"I do"

I could tell that Marley was just barely keeping it together at this point, probably because she didn't want to cry in front of a child.

"I know what that feels like, but don't worry I'll help I'm sure the queens will say yes, then we can be a family for each other,"

The girl had said enthusiastically.

After she said that I could hear it now

Marley was crying.

Of sadness or happiness I did not know, but from the way it sounded I would guess it was sadness.

I clenched my fist as I hear Marley cry to the child, it wasn't bawling or welding but I could tell she had a few tears.

I peeked around the corner just enough to get a glimpse and my heart couldn't handle the sight before me.

Marley was kneeled down her face flushed with small tears rolling down she wasn't loud, nor was she crying a lot but the sorrow was there The child had her arms wrapped around Marley in a comforting manner and I could also feel the unhappiness radiating off of her.

After about a minute I could hear Marley wipe her tears and say something about returning to her room, but I was already on the other side of the hall, trying not to get caught.

3rd POV {that night}

Heather had been in a daze for the rest of the day, seeming to be deep in though every second.

Marley did end up asking them for permission for the children to stay and the queens agreed, allowing Marley to take care of them.

They also managed to figure out that the girls name was Analise and the babies name was Freya.

Lea and Demitri tried to figure out what was going on, Heather eventually told them what she heard and saw, but didn't say much after that.

Lea got an idea that would hopefully help Heather She got a quill and some paper, Demitri watched her wife as she wrote, It was a note asking Marley to meet them in their room. Once Marley had put Freya in her crib she left the room heading towards the north wing, the note in hand.

Once she made it she knocked on the wood doors. She was greeted by a smiling Demitri who took her hand and walked Marley in the room. Marley quickly noticed the dazed Heather who sat on the bed a book in hand but she didn't seem to be reading it, her mind looked elsewhere.

"She's been like this all day,"

Lea explained. Marley had asked what caused Heather to act that way. Lea reluctantly told her what Heather had told them.

Marley nodded as she seemed to understand the situation. She was also quick to assure Lea and Demitri that what they knew was fine with her. Marley was a little unsure about what to do before she walked over to Heather.

She put a hand on Heathers, that seemed to snap her out because Heather finally looked up shaking her head in the process.

"Marley? What are you doing here?"

"The other two told me what you'd saw,"

Heather could feel her face beat up from guilt and embarrassment but before she could say anything Marley spoke again.

"Don't worry it's fine that you saw, normally I would be mad that people were listening to my conversation but since it's you three I really don't mind, If anything I think it's important for you all to know that sort of thing about me,"

Heather looked at Marley she studied her face. She remembers how Marley looked while she was crying.

Heather clenched her jaw as she brought Marley into a hug, she placed the warrior in her lap, Marley chuckled at the act. Feeling as if this was a daily occurrence.

Demitri and Lea smiled down at the two, sitting down on the bed next to them. Heather had brought her arms to wrap around Marley waist and her hands settled on her stomach. She put her head on Marleys shoulder and she could feel Marley lean back into her.

The four were quiet for a few minutes simply enjoying the comfort of each other before Heather spoke up,

"You know, you'd make a good mother,"

The statement caught Marley a little off guard but she wouldn't lie, she liked the idea of being a mother, of having a family with the other three, not that Marley would admit that.

"You think so,"

Marley could feel Heather nodding her head,

"Yeah especially if the child's mine,"

"Heather!!"

Marley said her smile evident as she was almost startled by Heathers bold statement.

Lea laughed at the two,

"Well she not wrong, I too would love to see us all have our own family,"

Heather smirked as Lea backed up her statement.

Marley was about to retaliate when she got another Mischievous idea.

"I mean.... If you guys wanna,"

The three stared down at Marley their faces full of shock,

"Pfft-haha, you guys should see your faces"

The three realized quickly that Marley was teasing them.

"I hate you,"

Heather said as she put her head back onto Marleys shoulder but it was removed quickly when Marley turned around.

She put her arms around Heathers shoulder and pulled her down. She was laying on the bed Heather directly next to her, if not die that on top of her.

"No, you love me,"

Heather sighed as she pulled Marley up against her,

"fine I guess your right,"

Demitri giggled a little before she layer down behind Marley giving her a quick kiss on the cheek and pulling the covers over herself.

Lea had taken the spot behind Heather, she had an evident smile as she hugged Heather goodnight and laid down to rest.

Marley couldn't see much now with the dark room, but she could feel Heather, she had grabbed Marleys hand.

She kissed the back on her hand and said

"Goodnight Marley,"

Marley was thankful for the darkness, her blush not being seen by anyone. But she smiled at the gesture and whispered back.

"Goodnight, my queen,"
