I analyzed the opponent in front of me. He was about my age, about my strength. We're equally matched.

He sent an uppercut which I easily dodged.

But it was a fake! His real intention was to use his dominant hand to land a devastating blow to the stomach. Luckily I saw this coming.

I gripped his wrist, stopping his punch. Using my other hand I sent an uppercut straight into his stomach, causing him to keel over.

The sound of clapping filled my ears, causing me to look over to my instructor, the owner of Taiyou Dojo.

Goku Taiyou. My Sensei.

"Good job boy!" He smiled. "You should have gone with the throw over the shoulder. It would have been more smooth and easier, but your method also works well."

Something I discovered is that I can now speak fluent Japanese and easily read kanji. Probably inherited that from the former Ken.

My opponent groaned, standing up and shuffling away over to his trainer. "Good fight!" I called out to him. He turned around, gave me a nod, then continued on his way.

"Here's some water." Goku said, giving me a bottle.

I sat down, grabbing the bottle that Goku handed me. I gulped it down, drinking almost all of it. Setting it down, I picked up my towel and wiped off the salty sweat dripping down my face.

Goku sat down next to me, patting my shoulder.

"You know, you may be the best student I've ever had." Goku said.

"What?" I asked, surprised by his sudden praise.

I've only been here for two months! How am I your best student?

"Most who aren't part of the family don't come here, so imagine my surprise when you showed up one day." Goku chuckled.

That's right. I may have left one important fact about Goku out.

He's the head of a yakuza group. The Taiyou Group.

Yes, you heard me right. Yakuza.

Despite that, Goku's actually a really nice guy. As long as you don't make an enemy out of him, he's extremely kind.

The only people that have made him their enemy is the second yakuza group here in Tokyo, the Takao Group.

Unlike the Taiyou Group, the Takao Group is actually incredibly violent and destructive, and much more illegal then the Taiyou Group.

Yes I know, their names are very similar and even I get confused sometimes despite my love for this anime.

So, you might be wondering how I started training under the head honcho of a Yakuza group.

Well, I showed up one day as Goku said. One of the instructors started to train me, and apparently after seeing my determination and quick improvement or something stupid like that, Goku decided to personally train me.

Strange, but awesome. He's a good teacher, and is currently teaching me the Taiyou Dragon Fist Style. It's a fighting technique created by their ancestors focused on power and speed.

"And anybody who trains under me, family or not, quits by now. Except for my daughter." Goku stated.

Wait, but I've only been here for two months!

"They quit already?!" I exclaimed.

"Yep." Goku chuckled. "For a hard-worker like you, that must be pretty shocking."

"It is. You have to put the hard work in to get the results. I know from experience." I sighed.

Goku laughed. "Look boy, I like you. Not many work hard like you do. I hope you continue to study under me, despite me being Yakuza. I personally find teaching you quite fun."

"Of course." I smiled. "Even once I go into school, I'll come for more lessons."

"Good! I have much to teach you!" Goku grinned.

I stayed for another hour as Goku continued to teach me the Dragon Fist Style. Consisting of mostly dodging and punching, I actually found learning it quite fun.

I can check off learning a martial art off of my bucket list, I guess. I'm still no expert however on the Dragon Fist Style.

Exiting the Dojo, I smiled at the progress I've made. I'm starting to learn a martial art, I'm building some muscle, and I've gained some reputation with the head honcho of one of Tokyo's Yakuza groups.

But that's not all of course. I need to be as ready as possible for the future. I decided that knowing everything I can about the world around me would be greatly beneficial.

So, to the library I go. While I could use my phone, I needed the most accurate information. For the last month, I've been researching everything I can in there. I've read so many books...

But I've learned some good info, so it was worth it. For example, more about the 50 years ago when the rifts started opening up.

Don't mind me, I'm just going to explain a lot of info that could potentially be essential to my survival in this dangerous world.

The Four Great Sages were the most powerful at the time. You could compare them to today's Brandon Tsuki basically. While their exact tier is unknown, it's believed to be higher than anyone's today. Including Brandon.

These guys came to our world, created families, and helped protect against monsters. Then when the Demon King attempted to come to our world, they sealed him away.

And subsequently disappeared after that.

Out of these Four Great Sages, only the families of two are known. Aegis, and Tsuki. Yes, Brandon Tsuki is the descendent of one of the Four Great Sages.

The Aegis and The Tsuki families, two of the four families of the Four Great Sages. They're kind of a big deal considering their lineage and power.

Their bloodline is powerful. Basically, when someone gains their Arcana, it can be ranked as D, C, B, A, or S, which is the best. These ranks represent an Arcana's innate power and potential.

Basically, a hard-working C Rank Arcana can beat a lazy S Rank Arcana, but a hard-working C Rank Arcana most likely won't be able to beat a hard-working S Rank Arcana.

And the Aegis and Tsuki families usually awaken an A or S Rank Arcana. Basically, incredibly good. This only helps with their influence.

I walked onto the library, passing the librarian as they gave me a nod, used to seeing me come by. Walking into an aisle, I picked up a book about Japan's adventuring guild.

The Guild is what you would expect. Where adventurers register and go up rank. Once you graduate adventurer highschool you can enroll as an actual adventurer. The ranks are the same as an Arcana's ranks, but you can actually go up and down.

The Guild is manned by Four Council Members. One who is the current head of the Tsuki family, and another is the Aegis Family King.

These two families are incredibly influential.

Placing down the book about the Guild, I grabbed another book about the history is the Tsuki family up to the present day.

Let's start with the Tsuki family. They have two children, Brandon and Bianca Tsuki.

I've already mention Brandon a lot, the most powerful adventurer at Tier 15 and S Rank despite being only 21, yadda yadda da...

His little sister however is also incredibly powerful. She's an absolute genius. She's only had her Arcana for one year, now at 17 years old, and she's reached Tier 6 with her S Rank Arcana.

The average Tier for someone who is going into the second year of highschool is 3, maybe 4 by the way so you can fully understand her genius.

Crazy. Placing down the Tsuki family book, I grabbed one about the Aegis family.

Then we have the Royal Aegis Family. Yes, Royal.

They're a family of Elves, unlike the Tsuki, who are human. Their ancestors were the royalty of the Elves in their world, and since their ancestor was a Great Sage, they've kept their royalty status in this world.

It's much more of a figurehead however. Their only political power is that the King is one of the Four Council Members.

The Aegis Family has three children. Two princesses and a prince.

Irene Aegis, third year, Tier 8, A Rank Arcana. She's the firstborn of the family, and pretty powerful. With every tier you go up, it gets harder to get to the next, so 8 is higher on the third year spectrum. She dropped out of adventurer highschool and became the Captain of the Royal Guard.

Then there is Isaac Aegis. He's practically worthless. Not much to talk about here.

Finally, Iris Aegis, the twin of Isaac at 17. She's about to go into her second year, and is at Tier 4 with a S Rank Arcana.

Another crazy family.

So why did I go on this huge info dump about these two families? Well, both Bianca and Iris are two of the five total yanderes in Heaven's Hell.

And when you're that powerful, and a yandere, you can get away with practically anything in this world. That's incredibly dangerous.

So I'm going to avoid them. They'll be at my school and with the main character, but as long as I stay out of their sight and avoid them I'll be good.

"Hi there! If you're curious about the Royal Aegis Family, you can always ask me!" A voice said form behind me.

Wait, that voice sounds kind of familiar.

Turning around, I saw-

Oh fuck me up the ass you got to be kidding!!!!!

Why is IRIS AEGIS here in a random library?!!??!?!!
