As expected, the usb incident ended up making the Principal tighten security. To be honest, that's a good thing. There were never any attacks on the school in the anime (despite how used that cliche is) so the security of the school was never important.
It also seems that Iris didn't snitch on me, as the President hasn't approached me at all. Wonder why...
A knock on my apartment door knocked me out of my thoughts. Why was someone knocking on my door? Today's my day off from school, and I'm not expecting any visitors...
I opened the door, seeing a familiar face of blond hair. "Hey Ken!" Eric smiled.
"Hey Eric. What's up?" I asked.
"Aunt Ellie wants us for something." Eric informed.
"Of course she does." I sighed.
I closed the door behind me. I was already wearing clothes decently suitable for outside, so no need to get ready. Locking the door behind me, we walked to Ellie's room.
"Your hair's getting long." I noted. It started to descend down to his shoulders.
"A-Ah, yeah...I probably should cut it..." Eric sighed.
What's with that reaction? Do you love your hair that much?
"Do whatever you want. You look fine." I replied.
"Maybe I'll keep it like this then..." Eric muttered.
We arrived in front of Ellie's door. Knocking on it, Ellie quickly opened the door.
"Ah! You arrived! Come on in!" Ellie smiled.
She let us in. We followed her to the living room, where another person was sitting. In fact, it was a familiar face-
"Lily? What are you doing here?" Eric wondered.
"You know her?" Ellie asked.
"We do. She's our friend at Legacy High." I informed.
"Great then!" Ellie replied. "This makes it easier! Lily will now be staying her at the apartment complex!"
"She will?" Eric was obviously confused as to why she suddenly was here.
I think I may know however...
"Her mother was just murdered." Ellie whispered to us. "So now I'm her guardian."
Eric's eyes went wide.
I was correct.
In the anime, Lily's mother is murdered and Lily ends up moving to the same apartment complex as Eric. Who murdered Lily's mother is never stated, as Heaven's Hell is as vague as always.
However, the most popular and believed theory is that Lily murdered her mother. Throughout the anime Lily always avoided talking about her family, suggesting tension between them. Add that to being hated and bullied at school before someone nice finally comes along, spells the creation of a yandere.
I'm not sure if this is what happened, but I believe it's the most likely possibility.
Ellie handed a keg to Eric. "Here's the key to Lily's room. You two can go show her the room and help her move anything."
Eric nodded. "Hey Lily, let's go set up your apartment."
"Of course Eric!" Lily smiled, skipping behind him as they exited.
"I'll be there in a moment!" I yelled to them.
I turned back to Ellie. "Why did you become her guardian? I thought it was another family member that would become her guardian. Like her uncle or aunt?"
This was something I was genuinely curious about. Again, no specific answer from Heaven's Hell. They love their vagueness.
Ellie sighed. "She doesn't have any other family. At least, known family. Her mother was the only one. A friend from the police is currently investigating the crime, and from the looks of their home Lily may have been abused."
Abused? The anime never talked about this...I only knew about the hate, the bullying, and the tense relations. But it was even worse...
"And I...I just couldn't do nothing about that. Not when an alone, abused girl was out there. Who knows what could be happening with her mental state?" Ellie continued.
Well, she's yandere. So a crazy mental state for sure.
"So I became her guardian. Went through a lot of legal trouble, but I did it." Ellie finished.
You really are as kind as Eric. I wonder if it runs through the Arthurson genes?
I walked out of Ellie's apartment, heading over to where Eric and Lily where. They were in Lily's new room, which was next to Eric's.
I knocked on the apartment, making sure I got the right one. When Eric opened the door, I knew I was in fact correct.
"How's it going so far?" I asked, walking in.
"We actually finished." Eric stated.
"What? It's been like, a minute." I replied.
"I didn't have much." Lily responded.
I looked around.
"You have a bed. And a single pair of clothes. You don't even have a drawer to place the clothes in." I realized. "We're taking you shopping soon."
"But-" Lily tried to argue.
"No. It's final." I finished.
Lily's reminding me of Kira. My big brother instincts are kicking in.
Kira...
...
There's no point dwelling on it. Nothing can be done about it. I'll just have to wish for her the best. That she can move on without me.
"So you don't need my help?" I asked.
"Nope. We're good." Eric replied.
"Well then, I'll be leaving." I stated.
"Where are you heading?" Lily asked.
"Going to Taiyou Dojo." I answered.
"You go to a Dojo?" Lily wondered, surprised.
"Have been for a couple months." I responded, slightly ticked off that she was surprised about that.
"Can I come with you?" Eric wondered.
"What?" I asked.
"I want to maybe join the Dojo." Eric answered.
"Sure, you can come..." I replied.
Strange. In the anime he doesn't end up joining until Season 2. We're still in the first Arc of Season 1.
"I want to come too!" Lily immediately declared, no doubt wanting to follow Eric.
"Alright. Come on." I replied, gesturing for them to come.
They followed me as I walked all the way to Taiyou Dojo. It was a ten minute walk, but with Eric and Lily to talk to it didn't feel that long.
Opening the doors to the Taiyou Dojo, I saw Goku in a tank top and shorts as he pounded onto a punching bag. He turned to look at me, before a smile grew on his face.
"Ken! How are you?" He asked.
"I'm good. You?" I replied.
"I'm good. Who are these two?" He wondered.
"My friends, Eric and Lily. They wanted to check out the Dojo to possibly join." I stated.
"We'd be glad to have you. How about this, free lesson with me for today, and if you enjoy it you can come back and become a Taiyou Dojo Member." Goku stated.
A Taiyou Dojo Member isn't the same as being part of the Taiyou Group. It's a pass that you pay monthly for that allows you to freely come to the Dojo to exercise and get lessons.
"Thank you." Bowed Eric.
"No problem!" Goku grinned. "A friend of Ken is a friend of mine!"
And so we started training at Taiyou Dojo. Today I have another training fight. A fight between disciples (I apparently now count as Goku's disciple) so that both can get experience in fighting against others.
I stood across from the fellow disciple. He was buffer, buffer than me. I was starting to build muscle, but I was still skinny with a small bit of abs. Not much though.
He must be strong. I'll have to make sure I avoid every hit he throws. If he connects, that could be my loss.
A referee blew the whistle, causing us to approach each other in the small arena. The opponent sent a boxing hook towards me. Ducking under it, I sent my fist to his face.
No Arcana, this a duel between disciples.
He easily avoided my hit. He's just as quick as I am. I quickly backed up as he sent another fist flying towards me.
It was like a game of chicken. We kept dodging and throwing punches, leaving both of us unharmed but also tired.
I dodged his punch, sending a quick uppercut straight into his chin. He stumbled backwards. I took this chance to hit him again.
But that didn't happen. He caught my fist, sending his other straight into my stomach. I backed up, clutching my stomach in pain. That hurts.
He rushed at me, sending a first at me. This could be it. But I won't let it be my loss.
I gripped his wrist as hard as I could, pulling him towards me. I used his momentum to send his body into my fist, hitting in the stomach like he did to me.
He collapsed to the ground, defeated.
Wow. I feel...strong...
"Good job!" Goku congratulated. "But seriously, instead of giving him a punch to the gut, a throw over the shoulder would be more effective. It puts you in an advantageous situation while keeping the Dragon Fist's flow."
"Yeah." I chuckled.
Wait...I'm feeling really tired...my vision's starting to blur...
I fell forwards, blacking out.
...
...
...
...
...
...
I gasped as I sprung awake. Where am I?
It's a white void, with the ground I'm sitting on
the same exact same color. What's going on?
A growl entered my ears. Looking to my left, I saw a strange looking wolf. It was almost as if it's whole body was made out of shadows, with two glowing red eyes.
It turned around, starting to walk off.
So, you want me to follow.
I shakily stood up to my feet. It's time to see what's going on.
