I followed the shadow wolf through the white void. As I examined the nonexistent surroundings, I still only saw a white void. Where am I? What is this place?

There's never been a scene like this in the anime, which leaves me at a complete loss at where and what this place could be.

The shadow wolf continued to trot through the void, uncaring towards my confusion. Despite this, I continued to further follow the wolf. I had nothing else to do.

It felt like hours had passed as I continued to follow the wolf. It was quite boring, and the whole time I only saw white, white, and more white.

But something started to appear in the distance. As we neared closer, I realized that a golden castle stood inside the void, all alone. And it seemed that the wolf was heading straight there.

Why couldn't have I woken up closer to here?

The wolf hopped up the steps, stopping in front of the door. It looked at me, giving me a nod before it faded away. As it disappeared, the doors to the castle opened.

I guess I go in.

I walked up the steps, arriving in front of the open doors. I took a deep breath, before entering. I was in a huge hall, with at the end sat a man on a large golden throne.

I walked across the hall, heading towards the man sat upon the throne. He had raven hair with emerald eyes. A grin was plastered on his face as he leaned his head on his hand, staring straight at me. He wore thin black armor with a ripped green cape, and a black horn headband on his forehead.

"Who are you? Where am I?" I demanded.

"Aw, you don't remember me? It's your best pal and buddy." He grinned. "I told you to hold the wolf's fangs until we could speak again."

"It's you." I realized in surprise.

"That's right!" He happily exclaimed. "It's so good to finally contact you!"

"Who are you?" I repeated.

"Come on, you have to know already." He snarkily replied.

I know. All the clues lead to it.

"Loki." I determined.

Hold the wolf's fangs. The fact that Fenrir is the son of Loki. The fact that Loki is a Trickster God. The fact that this person is a man and not a wolf.

"Nice to meet ya." He smiled. "Your lucky we're similar. I was able to disguise as my son Fenrir to keep you in the shadows. It was right up my alley as a Trickster God."

"So my Arcana isn't Fenrir? It's you?" I realized.

"That's right. But since you wanted to hide, I had to pretend to be Fenrir, which didn't let you tap into your full potential. That's why you had to hold the wolf's fangs for the time being." Loki explained.

"My full potential?" I wondered.

"Go on, check your Adventurer Card." Loki grinned.

I quickly fished my Adventurer Card out of my pockets. It seems that it travelled with me to...wherever this is.

Loki. S Rank.

Tier 1 - Fire Element

Tier 2 - Trickster God's Spirit

No way...

"This can't be real..." I gasped.

"Oh, it is. Trust me." Loki grinned.

I have an S Rank Arcana. Unbelievable...

Not to mention my Tier 2 ability...

At first it doesn't sound like much, but it's name is incredibly similar to another ability from the anime. If they're the same, it's incredibly OP.

The main character needs a bullshit ability, right?

Well, Eric becomes extremely strong throughout the anime thanks to his Tier 2 Skill called "Legend's Spirit". This ability increased the speed at which Eric could level up Tiers, and increase the speed for leveling up Tiers of anyone who he considered a close ally.

For a world focused on the fact that with every Tier gained you become stronger, this ability is incredibly OP.

"It works similar." Loki revealed.

"What?" How did he know-?!

"I can read your mind, silly. After all, I am connected to you. It also let me read all your memories. Man, you sure are an interesting one." He stated.

"Then you-?!" I gasped.

"Yep. I know of your past life, and how you shouldn't be here. But don't worry, I won't tell!" Loki winked.

"Anyways, the Tier 2 works like Legend's Spirit, except for the fact it doesn't affect close allies. It only increases the speed of yourself." Loki explained.

"Amazing..." I muttered.

With this, I can be strong.

Loki laughed. "I can't wait to see what happens! All the chaos and change that will come from you!"

"No. I'm going to stay in the shadows." I argued. "Being in the spotlight only brings pain. I'll ride the wave out and survive."

Loki sighed. "Such a killjoy. You really need to let go of your past."

"Shut it." I growled.

"Look kid, hiding won't help." Loki replied.

"And how do you know?" I asked, annoyed.

"The Lesser Dragon. The Minotaur attack. The battle between Cole and Eric. All of these times you hid away and let others deal with the problem." Loki stated. "And at the first two you almost died."

"That's-!" I tried to argue, but was quickly cut off.

"You know it's true. Every time it happens you think of yourself in one word." Loki interrupted.

...he's right.

"Useless." I realized.

"Right. Kid, there's a way to not be useless and not be in the spotlight at the same time. The usb was a prime example of that, though you could have been more subtle." Loki continued.

"Why not stay in the shadows and create change? You act like the main character is the only one who changes things. But you can change things too. Plenty of non-main characters greatly change stories." Loki finished.

...

"I never expected you to be the encouraging type." I chuckled.

"Well, if I'm going to be bonded with you then I'm going to need a good show." Loki grinned.

"So, what do you say kid?" Loki asked.

...

"You're right." I sighed. "I was being an idiot." I looked at him. "I won't be useless anymore. I can't."

"Good! We just need to get you leveling up! I've got a plethora of tricks for you to learn!" Loki grinned.

...

"So...where am I?" I asked.

"Oh right. This is your mindscape or something like that." Loki replied.

"A blank void with a golden castle?" I wondered.

"Yep. Pretty much it." Loki responded. "Oh, and you should be waking up any moment now."

"Hey Loki...thanks." I smiled.

"Hey, don't get all mushy on me. Take me out to dinner first at least." Loki snorted.

I chuckled at that. And as I closed my eyes, I opened them to see the ceiling of Taiyou Dojo. I felt the ground against my back. No doubt I was on the ground. And unlike in other anime, I wasn't getting a lap pillow. How unfortunate.

"Ken, you alright?!" Eric worriedly asked.

"You okay?" Lily wondered.

"You alright there?" Goku asked.

"Yeah..." I groaned. "I think I was just a little tired."

I shakily stood back up to my feet.

"Thank god you're okay. You almost gave this old man a panic attack when you suddenly collapsed. Go home, and get some sleep. You can't be overworking yourself." Goku stated.

"Alright." I smiled.

I think the fainting was due to Loki and my ascension to Tier 2 and not overworking myself, but sleeping in my bed does sound pretty nice right now.

I let Eric and Lily help me back home as I quickly fell asleep in my bed. God, it was so comfortable. Quickest I ever went to sleep. 10/10.

As I woke up, I realized that it was a school day. Time to head back to Legacy High for some more learning. Though bed sounds much more appealing...

"Hey, hey, is this working? Can you hear me?" A sudden voice entered my head.

What the-?!

"Oh, it's just me Loki. Seems you can hear me. Now that you reached Tier 2 we can finally mentally talk like this." Loki explained.

I forgot about that, the access to talk to the Spirit inside your Arcana once you reach Tier 2.

"Well, you also have seemed to forgotten that you're low on time, if you want to make it to school on time. If it was me though I would just skip it." Loki stated.

Shit!
