We quickly ran through the streets. We had no time to waste. We needed to get to the middle of Tokyo as quick as we could.
We left Merlin back at the Dojo. We both knew she wasn't strong enough to go against the Demon King, not after her powers deteriorated. I was slightly worried, but she had assured me earlier she was at least strong enough to survive a monster barging through the Dojo's doors.
At almost every street we passed there was another rift. There were plenty of adventurers running around and saving people, and many were protecting the safe-houses.
A Scorpius scuttled onto the street in front of us, hissing as it snapped it's claws. It looked towards us, growling.
We quickly dodged as it rushed us, sending it's large stinger for a strike. Bianca stabbed it, making it roar as it turned to her.
Now that it was distracted Erica sent a holy strike through the air, cutting off the stinger from the rest of the Scorpius.
It screeched in pain, writhing around. Irene jumped over it, slamming her hammer onto the top of stinger, slamming it down into the skull of the Scorpius and killing it.
"Another one...this is the most that have ever arrived at once..." Principal muttered.
"This only confirms it." Iris grimly nodded. "The Demon King arrives today."
"Hey!" Lily called out, running over to us with a child in her arms. Behind her limped a woman, heavily bleeding.
Yui quickly started healing the woman as Lily soothed the child down. Lily had a surprising affinity with children.
Slipping the woman a pamphlet, Yui backed up as the woman was now fully healed. Lily handed the child back to the woman.
"Thank you, thank you so much." She smiled, tears gathering in the corner of her eyes.
"No problem." Principal replied. "You better head to the safe house at the apartment buildings. There will be other adventurers there to keep you safe."
"Okay! I will! Thank you!" She yelled as she ran off.
We quickly picked up pace again, weaving through the streets as we continued to head towards the center. As we got closer and closer, I started to see something in between the buildings.
It looked like a giant rift, still a short distance away. It worried me, just how large of a rift was needed to sustain the Demon King's arrival?
An explosion caught our ears. As we looked to the sky, a helicopter spiraled out of control through the air, it's back on fire. It crashed somewhere in the city with another explosion.
"Damn it." Principal muttered. "There's Gargoyles as well..."
There were five winged, stone beings in the sky. I probably didn't need to explain to you what a gargoyle looked like. The only difference between these and our decorative ones were that these were alive and had a shiny red crystal in their chest.
They were C Rank Monsters, and it was due to that gem. That was their weak point, which made killing them easy if you could hit that. The rest of their body was practically impenetrable however.
The swooped down towards our direction, locking us into their sights. We quickly scattered as they crashed into the ground, standing up without a scratch.
They growled at us, their claws sharpening as each one rushed at a different person. One sent a swipe towards me, which I quickly dodged and stabbed my axe into the gem, splitting it in half. The Gargoyle's eyes quickly faded as it collapsed onto the ground.
While Yui dodged the one rushing at her, Lily was able to jump on it's back and stab the gem from above.
Principal easily sent a blast into the chest of another Gargoyle, quickly killing it. Iris blocked the Gargoyle's attack, giving Irene an opportunity to slam her hammer into the Gargoyle's chest, sending it flying into the wall of a nearby building.
She had hit it so hard that the gem had shattered. Bianca was able to easily stab the final Gargoyle's gem, her spear having a longer reach than the claws of the monster.
The red of the Gargoyles collapsed onto the ground, being quickly killed. We left them there as we continued forwards, continuing to head towards the middle of Tokyo.
We got closer and closer, turning around the corner to see the largest rift that I had ever seen. It ripped through the air, as tall as three stories, only getting larger.
And in front of it stood a lone man. He turned around, looking at us with a sickening grin. I quickly poured mana into my eyes, analyzing his body.
I could only see one soul in him, a dark purple.
"You're just in time!" He cackled. "To see the return of my king!"
"Where's the rest of your lackeys?" Principal asked, narrowing her eyes at him.
"Oh, they're around." He smiled. "Around you."
Multiple Children of Lupercio walked out from behind buildings, quickly surrounding us. Of course, it was an ambush.
"Now, I know Lupercio wants to take care of you himself, so I'll let you all live a little longer to see-?!" He said, being quickly cut off by me morphing Loki into a gun and shooting multiple fire bullets at him.
"What the hell?! I was in the middle of my monologue, you're not supposed to interrupt it!" He screeched.
"Take care of them." I said to the others. "I have a score to settle."
I dashed forwards, kicking one of Lupercio's lackeys out of the way as I rushed towards Kurobei.
"Oh, you're on!" He growled, his hand glowing purple as he sent a purple laser blast towards me.
Instead of dodging, I ran straight towards it. My hand glowed white as I smacked the purple beam, sending it flying back towards him.
Pure mana allowed me to interact with magic, however pure mana isn't supposed to be used like this. The only reason I can is due to having a Magic God bonded with me.
"I'm the best." Loki chuckled. "Now kick his ass!"
Kurobei quickly pulled out a syringe, trying to stab it into his arm. I shot a fire bullet from the Loki gun, destroying the syringe.
"Damn it!" He growled.
I dashed towards him, morphing Loki into his axe form as I swung it down upon Kurobei. He outstretched his arm, making a transparent purple barrier in the air.
The axe harmlessly bounced off of the barrier. Kurobei dissolved it, sending a kick towards my stomach.
I summoned my armor, using Amplification on the magical construct to increase it's defense. His foot slammed into my stomach, not breaching the armor as I stood my ground.
I gripped his leg, slamming him down into the ground before throwing him away. He tumbled across the ground, before standing up, enraged.
He looked over to the lackeys, which were easily being taken down by the others.
"Wait, where did the kitsune go-!" He was cut off as Amber appeared behind him, throwing a powerful punch towards him.
He barely blocked it, but he was lifted off of his feet, giving Amber the chance to send a devastating roundhouse kick into his head. He stumbled back, his nose broken as black blood dropped from it.
"That's for my father." She growled.
"Damn..." He growled. "Good thing I always bring extras!"
He slammed another syringe into his arm before I could stop him. Honestly, I should have known that he would have more than just one.
His skin started to grow purple as he became buffer. Two horns sprouted out of his head as his face twisted into a sickening grin.
"Play nice." He laughed. "After all, don't you want to see your boyfriend's final moments to my king?"
Amber rolled her eyes, bringing up her gauntlet covered fists. "Come at me." She growled.
Kurobei didn't even need to answer, dashing at her with a fist. Unfortunately for him Amber was much more skilled with hand to hand.
She tilted her head, dodging his punch with as little movement as possible. Spikes jutted out from her gauntlets as she slammed one into his chest, punching multiple small holes through his skin.
He growled, jumping backwards. He quickly brought his arm up as he blocked my kick. I jumped off of him as Amber came for another punch, which he quickly caught.
"You two should know by now. You two can't go against a demon." He grinned.
"Who said it was just us two?" I laughed.
Kurobei's eyes quickly widened as he jumped away from Amber. Bianca had appeared next to her, her spear outstretched.
"They're easy." Bianca stated, nodding towards where the others were easily taking out the Children of Lupercio.
While more and more came to defend their king, the Principal and the others had it easily handled.
Three of us now stood in front of Kurobei and the rift, determined to take him out.
Kurobei's hands glowed purple. "Come at me, bitches." He growled.
