Everything was spinning. Where was I?

As I regained focus, I realized I was in a dark void. It reminded me of the first time that I had met Loki.

"Ken!" Loki worriedly yelled. "Are you alright?!"

"I'm...fine..." I mumbled.

As I looked around, there wasn't anything here except for some spherical-like rocks which reminded me of asteroids.

I knew they weren't asteroids though, because I wasn't in space. This has to be the void.

The void. Why had I done it? Why did I decide to sacrifice myself like a stereotypical idiot anime protagonist?

He was already climbing out of the void. If I had cut my leg off then there would be no way to stop him. At least I've delayed him.

And then the girls are going to give him hell when he goes back...

Only one other person was floating in the void. His eyes snapped open as he reorientated himself. He looked around, before releasing a blood-curdling scream of rage as a dark pillar of aura pierced the void, before it disappeared.

He turned towards me, his furious eyes connecting with mine. In an instant he zoomed towards me, red lightning sparking as he held me up by the neck.

"Damn you, always having to be a pain in the ass till the end." He growled.

He slammed his fist into my face, my vision going blurry as he let go of me.

"Ken!" Loki gasped.

"No matter. It won't take long until I return." He sighed.

I wiped my face, blood smearing onto my hand. He definitely broke my nose with that hit. My body ached, now with a broken nose and a missing arm.

I aimed my hand towards Lupercio, a huge blast of blue fire shooting out of my hand and slamming into him.

He wasn't fazed, instead just looking at me annoyed. He flew towards me once more, sending a kick into my stomach which made my body arch up as spit and blood flew out of my body.

"Don't you get it?" He asked, grabbing my hair and making me look at him. "It's futile. You've lost."

"Damn it damn it damn it damn it damn it damn it!" Loki yelled.

I didn't say anything, just glaring at him.

"Want me to elaborate? Let me show you just how bad your position is. You're stuck here, all alone with me." Lupercio stated.

"And you were the only real threat to me. But here, you're nothing but an annoying bug. Wonder what that makes the rest of them?" He snickered.

I reared my fist back, trying to punch him in the face. He caught my fist with his other hand.

"Ah Ah Ah, let me finish." He replied, shaking his head. "Your little seal broke, meaning that I can't be sealed a third time."

"And your seal, your trump, broke. Your seal creates a hole to the void, which in turn makes it impossible to get out without power." He stated.

"But I have a steady source." He grinned. "Souls travel through the void to get to wherever they're supposed to."

"But now I'm here to feed on those souls, letting me regain my power." He laughed. "So with no way to seal me again, and with me not having lost much power, it won't be long until my feeding on souls will allow me to return."

"Oh no..." Loki muttered in horror.

And then I realized. Hel had said that for some reason souls had stopped going to her realm. It was because the Demon King had been consuming them.

"Less than a year, I'd say." He estimated.

Well...shit.

"Man, most of the souls had barely any magic power." He chuckled. "But some of those, like the two that my late right hand man delivered, now those were delicious."

He licked his lips. "So much mana inside of those souls."

I felt myself shake with rage. They were gone. But what could I do? I wanted to save them. I wanted to survive, and yet I've officially killed myself. What a joke.

"Ken! Get yourself together!" Loki desperately screamed in my ears.

"Mad, huh?" Lupercio laughed. "No matter how angry you get your lightning won't become strong enough to beat me. Even with that trick you did, I don't have a single scratch."

So the lightning is fueled by emotions, likely specifically rage. But how does Lupercio know about this?

Why does he also have power? Please don't say it's what I think it is...

"How...do you have that lightning?" I coughed out. "Who are you?"

"What?" He asked, his face faulting. "Are you-are you serious?!"

He shook me by the neck angrily. "You didn't know?! All of this for something you didn't even know?!"

In a second I was flying through the void, Lupercio being so angry that he had chucked me. I slammed into the side of one of the rocks, laying broken in a crater.

"You're kidding me?!" He screamed, landing down in front of me.

He slammed his foot into my chest. My head jerked as I coughed out blood and spit.

"Those four damn shits got in my way, trying to keep me from being their rightful ruler. They even got the rest of the world on their side." He growled.

"Even my daughter. And when the rifts opened, they took her to that world." He continued. "They took my daughter from me."

"And then one of those shits had a child with her. They made your mother. I tried to eliminate that stain, but her mother sacrificed herself. I killed my daughter with my own hands." He snarled.

"She deserved it." He scoffed. "She went against her own father, the one that created her. And so when I heard that she had a descendant, you either needed to die or join me."

"Whether you like it or not, we're family. I thought the lies of your mother would have turned you against me, but she didn't even tell you." He growled.

We were family. I couldn't believe it. I was shocked when I found out I was a descendant of one of the Four Great Sages by Principal and that seal.

But I was also the descendant of Lupercio? Why was I brought here? Why was I transmigrated? There had to be a reason. This is way too much of a coincidence, for me to be reincarnated into the body of someone so important to other main characters, yet never appearing in the anime.

What force brought me here? Why? Why?

"Ken, now's not the time!" Loki yelled. "You need to get away! Now!"

Lupercio slammed his foot on my chest once more.

"I hate you. You don't even know the power that you could have wielded. You got in my way at every step, and then you took Aoi from me." He continued.

"History seems to be repeating itself. But I'm not going to fail this time. You are going to die. I'm going to make your death very, very, painful." He stated.

"And then I'll kill everyone you love. If only you could see it. Oh, how beautiful it would be." He laughed.

He brought his hand down, grabbing into my face. A searing pain went through my body as he tore out my eyeball.

My eyeball.

Blood splurged out of my eye socket as I let out a sickening scream. The pain was too horrible to describe.

"Ken!" Loki gasped in horror. "Oh, god!"

My eye felt like it had just been stabbed with a needle a hundred times. I clutched at my face with my one arm as tears rolled down from my other eye.

Lupercio uninterestedly looked at the eyeball, before crushing it in his hand in a gory explosion of blood without a care in the world.

My teeth clenched together as I tried to net let out any more screams as the burning pain continued to heat my face.

"A tough one, aren't you?" Lupercio chuckled. "I've cut off an arm, broken a nose, and taken an eye. Wonder what else I can do?"

He slammed his leg down onto my leg, easily shattering my bone. I screamed as I physically felt my bone break in half.

I looked down at my leg, my eyesight shaking as I saw the unnatural position it was bent in. I wanted to puke.

I wanted to go to sleep so this pain would go away. But I couldn't, I needed to survive.

I promised...

Kira...

He slammed his foot down upon my other leg, easily breaking it. I gasped as an unnatural strangled cry came from my throat.

Both of my legs were now bent in ways they shouldn't have been. The blood and tears from my face ran down into my mouth, creating a foul concoction.

"Ken! Damn it! I need to do something! Fuck! I'm trapped!" Loki cursed.

"Damn, you seem broken. Kind of surprised you lasted this long." He huffed. "Well, of course, since you're my descendant."

He licked his lips. "Your soul will be delicious, so you'll be at least useful for one thing."

He summoned the sword, aiming it down towards my chest, a sickening grin on his face as my vision started to fade.

Damn it, this was the last thing I was going to see, wasn't it? I'm really...

The sword slammed into my chest as I coughed out blood, my vision going dark.

...an idiot.
