Everything was dark. I gasped, seemingly waking up. But as I looked around, everything was now white.

I was in some sort of blank plane of existence, different from when I met Loki and different from the Void.

I died...

Heh. So much for everything I've done. And so much for that promise to Kira.

...damn it.

I forced the tears down.

Loki? You there?

Loki?

Damn.

I really am dead.

Do I regret it?

Yeah, a little.

Maybe with more time I could have come up with a better solution. I guess the important thing is that they're alive.

They'll find a way to kill Lupercio, and end of all of this. I know it. After all, they're yanderes, even if they don't always seem like it.

...

Damn it...

I'm such an idiot...

I stood up. The ground was a pure white, so I couldn't really tell it from the world around me. It was strange, but so many weird things have happened to since I was transmigrated to this world, so I'm not too surprised.

There was nobody else here. And looking down at myself, I was now wearing normal clothes, no longer adorned with the armor that I had unlocked from Loki.

Damn it.

But what is this place?

Is this what happens to people who soul's get eaten? I'm assuming that's what happened to me since I was killed by the Demon King.

"Not quite." An elegant, feminine voice intrude my thoughts.

Whirling around, one other person now stood in this void with me. She was a beautiful, elegant looking woman. She wore a one piece dress, which looked like a night sky with sparkling stars.

But the strangest thing was her long hair. It looked like the galaxy, and it even moved. By no means was it any sort of normal hair. However, it was mesmerizing.

"Why, thank you." She smiled at me, staring at me with her purple eyes. Just like with her hair, it looked like as if the whole galaxy was contained in her irises.

And apparently she can read my mind.

"Correct." She nodded. "You're so smart!"

...okay.

"So, who are you?" I asked.

"Ufufu." She giggled. "That isn't important right now."

What..?

"You're time isn't over yet." She smiled.

"Are you...helping me?" I asked, obviously suspicious.

"Not me." She let a little smirk run on her purple lips as she walked over. I brought up my guard, but she only extended a single finger and lightly tapped my chest.

A golden, warming glow radiated out from inside my chest.

"Avalon..." I whispered in surprise. "Erica gave it to me...it must have been after that night..."

"Yep!" The woman nodded.

"But how? Avalon can heal, but it can't revive dead people." I replied.

"A miracle." She winked. "Long ago, Avalon was blessed by a god."

"You?" I asked.

"Oh, not me." She giggled. "I'm flattered, you thought I was a god."

Well, either her beautiful yet odd appearance and incredibly powerful commanding and graceful presence I thought so...

"Are you not?" I asked.

"No, I am." She smiled. "But I'm not the god that blessed Avalon."

"Oh...okay..." I replied.

"Unlike your daughter, I'm a full-fledged Major God." She smiled. "With time, maybe your daughter can also become one."

Okay then...I'll need to research about gods connected to stars...

She smirked, lightly tapping my chest once more. "Though, this should give a boost to the healing properties of Avalon. Being so long since it was last used, it lost some juice. But now, the legendary artifact should be back to full power." She stated.

"Oh...thank you." I replied.

A miracle?

"Not a miracle. But a gift." She winked at me. "Now, you need to wake up and defeat that Demon King."

"What if I can't?" I growled, clenching my fists. "He destroyed me. He was strong enough that nothing I did even effected him. He just toyed with me, and then killed me."

"I know you can find a way to do it." She smiled. "After all, you're my chosen."

"I'm your wha-" I started.

She suddenly hugged me, pressing her moderately sized breasts up against my chest which I shouldn't be thinking about considering she can read my mind.

"You can't die yet." She whispered. "After all, you're mine."

Wh-

"Ken!" Loki screamed.

I gasped awake, staring at some sort of rocky ceiling. Air rushed my lungs, quickly filling them up and making me choke for a second.

I let out heaving coughs, before they passed and I started to register my surroundings. I was laying down on something hard, I'm some sort of stone room.

"Oh my god! Ken, you're alive!" Loki gasped, relieved.

Man, am I glad to hear you again.

And then I saw the four men staring at me in surprise. One of them had tears running down his eyes.

"Who are you?!" I gasped, sitting up.

I immediately noticed that my legs were still broken, however they were quickly being fixed. I summoned Loki with my one arm, pointing it at them in his sword form.

My vision was strange, and I realized that it was because one of my eyes was still gone. How funny. Now I was One-Eye.

"You're alive..." Sobbed the one man.

Why in the world is this guy crying about me?

"I don't know." Loki replied. "I was left in darkness until you woke back up. I really thought you were gone."

Well, I did die. That's for sure. But thanks to Erica and some sort of hidden miracle inside of Avalon, I was basically resurrected.

I'll have to thank her later. She literally saved my life.

"You should reward her. I'm sure she'd like that." Loki stated.

Well, you're not wrong.

The other three continued to stare at me in shock as the one guy continued to break down in a mixture of laughing and crying.

"Is...is he alright?" I questioned, gesturing towards the guy.

Why is he crying so much over me being alive? I've never met this man, unless it was before I was transmigrated here.

"He...kinda looks like you. Has the same hair tone." Loki pointed out.

You're right...he does!

And looking at the others, one had pitch black hair with gray eyes. He looked like the Principal. Another had white hair and blue eyes. Like Bianca. And the final man had lightning-yellow hair.

Holy shit. It had to be them. The Four Great Sages. They're alive.

"Lupercio said that he had killed them." Loki muttered. "He must have been lying. We really need to become better at detecting lying, this is a disgrace!"

Yeah, going to have to agree with you on that.

"What...what's your name?" Happily sobbed the Kage Great Sage.

"Ken...Kage." I slowly replied. "You?"

"Kagami Kage, your grandfather." He smiled. "She lived. You're alive. This is amazing..."

The man with black hair cleared his throat awkwardly. "Uh, my name is Akashi Kato. It's nice to meet you."

"Isamu Aegis." The yellow haired man coughed out. I noticed he was also injured, laying on a stone chair.

"You're awake!" Akashi gasped, rushing over. "Don't push yourself! You'll live!"

"I will..." He sighed. "But I'm afraid we'll have to do the back-up plan..."

"No, Isamu..." Kagami gasped. "We can't do that."

"We'll talk about that later." The Tsuki Great Sage stated. "When we're alone." He glanced at me.

I immediately started to dislike this guy.

"...My name is Baki Tsuki." He stated after a pause of conflict.

"I see." I replied.

His coldness certainly reminded me of Bianca. Though she was cold just because she had trouble displaying her emotions. And also because she isn't exactly the most social.

Isamu let out another devastating storm of coughs. I flinched as I saw some blood fly from his mouth.

"I have something that could help him..." I stated, reaching for my chest.

"Ken, that's dangerous." Loki immediately tried to shoot me down.

I feel fine despite my missing arm and eye. And besides, what kind of fiancé would I be if I just let my fiancé's grandfather die?

I appreciate your concern though.

"Don't." Akashi immediately shot me down just like Loki did. "You can't give away Avalon, now while in that state. Isamu will live, but I cannot guarantee your life. We'll wait until you heal."

"Told you." Loki stated.

Wait, he knows it's Avalon?

My vision suddenly became fuller as I brought my hand up to my face, lightly feeling the eyeball that had been gouged out. It was back.

"It seems Avalon is healing at a faster rate than before. Huh." Akashi muttered in light surprise. "Just wait until your arm regenerates."

"How do you know it's Avalon?" I asked.

"My mentor used to tell me about it." Akashi stated. "Wait, how did you get it?"

I forgot that Merlin trained them as well.

"Merlin told me and my friend, who's arcana is Excalibur, where it was located. We then went in and got it." I explained.

"You were trained by Merlin too?" Akashi asked, surprised. "How is she doing?"

"Well, she's out of her tower now." I smiled.

"Seriously?!" Akashi gasped. "How did you destroy the Demon King's seal?!"

"I...used his own power." I slowly stated, admitting the ugly fact that Lupercio was my ancestor.

"To think you'd be able to access that power, even if you are related." Muttered Akashi in thought.

"It's good that Merlin is free." Baki lightly smiled before his demeanor became cold again. "Onto other matters...what were you doing fighting Lupercio?"

"I was trying to finish what you started." I replied.

"Damn it." Baki muttered. "To think our own failure has dragged them into this."

"There's no point in being sad about it now..." Coughed out Isamu. "We just need to finally end this...and you all know we need to do that..."

Kagami sighed in sadness. "I hate it...but I have to agree. However, I had an idea."

"What is it?" Akashi asked curiously.

He pointed to me. "He's the one we perform the ritual on."

The room went silent.

A ritual? Are they going to try to sacrifice me or something? What?

"...excuse me, WHAT?!" Screamed Baki. "He's a kid! You want to send a kid against him?! Right after how you were so against having a kid fight against Lupercio?!"

"Just hear me out." Kagami stated. "He would be even stronger than if we did it on any of us."

"He doesn't have the experience." Baki argued.

"Then how come he was even able to get Lupercio through the rift?" Questioned Kagami. "He's clever. If we give him the power to go against Lupercio, he could win."

"You're mad." Baki gaped at him.

"Let's give it a chance. We all will give him a 'trial' of some kind. A short one, of course, we don't have the time or resources to do anything crazy." Kagami explained.

"And then we will each decide whether he is 'worthy' or not. And if all of us agree he is, then he'll be the one for the ritual." Kagami continued.

"...I...like this idea..." Coughed out Isamu.

"...I'd be willing to give it a try." Akashi nodded.

"Are you all mad?" He looked at them as if they all were insane. "Fine, we'll do this. But there is no way I'm possibly going to find him 'worthy'."

"We'll see." Kagami lightly chuckled.

"Okay, what the hell is going on?" I questioned.

Kagami smiled at me. "This will decide how everything continues on from here. How all of this ends."

"Let's go to the other room. I'll be giving you your first trial while we wait for the others to continue." Kagami stated, walking past me.

As I stared at where he exited, I couldn't help but be both worried and curious. If he was anybody else other than my ancestor, then I wouldn't have followed him.

"Let's try it." Loki stated. "Like he said, this could change everything."

I took a deep breath before walking into the room after Kagami, closing the stone door behind me.
