The attack on Aegis Mansion by the assassins brought up a lot of questions, and a lot of answers. I now know Isaac is fine with killing Irene, Iris, or even his own mother, Isabella.
Truly a despicable piece of shit.
I also have learned the unnerving fact that Irene is most likely a yandere. The fact she knew I was disguising by knowing my smell means that for some reason she memorized my smell.
If her Arcana had an enhanced smelling or an enhanced senses ability, that would make sense. But her Arcana is Thor, and he was never known for enhanced smelling.
Which means, with normal smelling, she memorized my scent. The only reason I can think of why is that she became yandere for me.
After all, a common trope for yanderes in media is to know their "beloved's" scent.
Which means that in my plan to get rid of a yandere, I have ended up creating a yandere that didn't even exist in the anime.
And she's after me...

FUCK!!!!!!
...
I feel like I should be more scared and freaked out, but there's honestly not really anything I can do. Irene is stronger, faster, and more influential than me.
I can't try to escape Japan; Irene would easily find me with her intelligence and smarts. And I can't kill her, both because of emotional attachment and inability. I truly care for her now...
As a friend. I don't think I'm ready for a relationship yet, especially with an insane girl.
So basically, I'm trapped. Luckily in the anime the girls never hurt Eric. Instead they only hurt the people who crossed him.
So now I have to live with a yandere in love with me. I mean, it can't be the worst. Eric ended up living with five yanderes in the anime, and he was happy with that life...Maybe I'm being optimistic. But either way, I now have a yandere on me, and she won't let go easily.
They never do.
But now that the attack on the party is over, that means the major part of the arc starts. The Aegis Civil War.
In simple terms, Iris finds out that it was Isaac who ordered the assassinations. Isaac goes into hiding and they eventually storm his base and defeat his troops. Then he gets locked up in jail, and that is basically the end of the Arc.
As of now, all I can do is continue my job as Irene's bodyguard. However, there is a greater problem I'll have to deal with once this Arc reaches it's end.
And for the bodyguard job, Irene visited her mother who was currently in the hospital. I gave her some time to talk with her mother before it was my turn to come in.
I opened the door to the room, quietly closing it behind me. Irene's Mother, Isabella, laid down on the hospital bed while Irene sat on a chair next to the bed.
"So, you're the one who saved me?" Isabella asked, smiling at me.
"Yes. It's nice to meet you, Queen Aegis." I bowed.
"So he's well-mannered too." Isabella noted. "Come, have a seat." She pat down the seat next to her, gesturing me to sit down by her.
"I heard about it from Irene. I just have one question; why did you disguise yourself as your friend?" Isabella asked.
I was disguising as Eric in case I had to save Iris. That would shift her attention onto him, just like in the anime how he saves her. His saving of her and the terrible events that happen to her make her go yandere for him. At least, in my theory.
That failed with my mistake. This likely shifted Iris' attention onto me, but with her sister still alive she shouldn't descend into a yandere like in the anime.
"You suck at disguising." Loki commented.
Shut it. I managed to infiltrate the Royal Knights. I don't suck. I just misstepped this time.
Anyways, when I was planning to disguise as Eric I realized a problem. The disguise didn't affect Loki, my weapon.
Which means my cover would have been blown. But then when I focused on disguising as Eric, something amazing happened.
Loki became disguised as Excalibur.
"I'm still not exactly sure how you did it." Loki stated. "But somehow, you must have been focusing hard enough on both Eric and Excalibur to disguise me as well. I didn't even know that Disguise could affect me."
Well, it was useful. Well, if I wasn't found out.
"Eric is more well known than I am. He may be someone that they were warned about. So, I figured if I disguised as Eric, I might either intimidate them or make them shift focus onto me." I lied.
"That's smart." Isabella nodded. "But now people know who you are, and will be wary of you. Ken Kage, official bodyguard of Irene Aegis."
I sighed. I was supposed to stay hidden, dammit.
I really fucked up this time...
...
I hate the spotlight. It only causes pain. I know this from firsthand experience.
Hopefully it'll be fine. The main people who I want to stay out of the spotlight for are the yanderes. I made one fall for me, but that's besides the point.
I don't want five yanderes after me.
I want to survive.
So once this arc is over, I'll go back into the shadows. Irene might draw some attention as she won't be letting go of me, but who cares about a measly bodyguard?
"So...he's the one?" Isabella asked, grinning at Irene.
"W-what?!" Irene gasped, her face flushing red.
Crap...please, not now...
"He's the one." Isabella giggled, Irene's reaction confirming everything.
Irene nodded, embarrassed.
Irene suddenly sat up, walking over to me. She stood over me, staring me in the eyes.
"Uh..." I awkwardly said. "What's going on..?"
She grabbed me by my shoulders, before suddenly her face was in front of me, her lips on mine. The sweet taste of her mouth infiltrated my mouth.
W-what? She's kissing me? So suddenly?
My mind blanked out.
A couple seconds later, her lips separated from mine. She touched her lips with her hand, looking star-struck.
"Amazing..." She muttered.
My first kiss was just taken...
I was a complete virgin in my last life as well, so I never had a kiss, a date, or anything like that.
Wow...so that was a kiss...
...
Shake yourself out of it Ken! You can't go falling for a crazy girl! After all, never stick your dick in crazy. It's the number one rule of survival.
Isabella giggled. "I'm glad."
"Thank you, Mother." Irene nodded. "But I also have some serious news to tell you, which I waited for Ken to arrive to tell you."
The seriousness in Irene's voice shook me out of my post-kiss stupor.
"What is it?" Isabella asked, suddenly serious as well.
"I believe I know who was behind the assassinations." Irene stated.
"Who?" Isabella asked.
"Isaac." Irene revealed.
Isabella stayed silent, closing her eyes in thought. "Is this true?" She asked.
"Ken confirmed that Cyrus was ordered to assassinate Iris, and we both know that he would only take orders from an Aegis. Not to mention how Isaac is..." Irene explained.
"I had Lily investigate, to confirm if it was indeed Isaac or not." Irene continued.
"You had Lily investigate? How?" I wondered.
"She's sneaking into Isaac's room, seeing if he has any evidence." Irene stated. "Her presence concealment is quite handy."
The door to the hospital room opened, revealing Lily. "I'm here." She said. "Oh, hey Ken."
"Hey Lily." I greeted.
"Welcome back. What did you find out?" Irene asked.
"It was Isaac." Lily stated.
Irene sighed. "As I feared. My own brother...how did you find out?"
"Isaac was in there, on a call with somebody. He was angry that both assassinations failed. After he left, I also found a written order." Lily stated.
Lily pulled out a paper, handing it to Irene. Irene looked through it, scanning to make sure it was a written order.
"This order really does say everything we need to know." Irene stated. "We now have all the evidence that we need to incriminate and lock up Isaac."
"There's a problem with that..." Lily awkwardly replied.
"What is it?" Irene asked.
"He was fleeing." Lily stated. "By now he's definitely not at the Mansion anymore."
"Damn it." Irene cursed. "How are we supposed to find him?"
"This might help." Lily stated, handing Irene a map. "I also found this in his room."
Irene's eyes widened as she examined the map.
"What is it?" I asked.
"It's a map of Isaac's hideouts." Irene stated. "Assuming he fled to a hideout, he must be in one of these."
"So we'll have to search them one by one?" I guessed.
"Exactly." Irene nodded.
Isabella sighed. "To think my own son would do this..."
"Are you alright?" I asked her.
Isabella lightly smiled at me. "I'm fine. It's sad to admit, but I never had much of a connection to Isaac. He always pushed me away...It makes me wonder if he really did love us."
She closed her eyes, humming in a deep thought. "Please, I need you to stop him. It's because of my awful job at being a parent that he's turned out like this. Please stop him."
"Of course." I nodded. "I'll make sure he gets locked up and won't hurt anyone again."
Isabella nodded. "I see. Thank you. I think I now understand why Irene loves you so much."
Before I could respond to her sudden statement a force pulled me back. I was placed into a bone crushing hug by our resident yandere. Irene glared at her mother with a frightening gaze.
Irene, you're crushing me!
"He's mine Mother!" She declared.
"Wait...you two are dating?" Gasped Lily. "Congratulations!"
"No-" I tried to say, but Irene's grip tightened on me.
Irene, I seriously think you're going to kill me!
"Yes. He's my fiancé." Irene stated.
...what?
