The Pink Death jumped backwards, holding her glowing pink katana. Did she just try to fucking kill me?!

"Who the hell hired you?" I growled.

She didn't respond.

I don't know how the fuck she knew I was going to be here, but it's likely that she was hired to take me out.

First off, assassins don't go killing random people. That's unprofessional. Second, that strange feeling might have been somehow caused by this Pink Death, as weird as it sounds.

...

What if she was hired by Lupercio?

While Lupercio never hired an assassin to go after Erica (that I know of), things played out a lot differently in this reality than in the anime. Irene wasn't killed, and Lupercio no longer has his inside man.

But I saved Irene, Iris, and Yui, and I even took out the traitor. Thanks to my knowledge of the future I've thrown more wrenches in his plan than Erica did in the anime.

That's why I've never heard of The Pink Death. She wasn't needed to stop Erica.

Loki started to morph into a katana.

Why a katana? I saw her speed when she was against Amber. She's as quick as I am without a weapon.

But due to the fact the axe is a heavier weapon, I can't be as quick as when I just use my fists. And I can't use my fists since she has a freaking glowing sword, and could easily cut me up.

So a katana it is. Besides, I've got a plan.

The Pink Death and I analyzed each other, stuck in a standstill. Examining her weapon, I noticed that it was also a katana. But for some reason it glowed pink. What is with this girl and her pink?

She rushed at me, quickly swinging her sword overhead. I blocked it, pushing her off of me. We quickly connected our swords again in an attempt to injure the other.

Our swords clashed, sending sparks flying through the air. The sounds reverberated through the tunnel, but we were too far back for anyone else to hear.

She's not as skilled as Cyrus. I can do this.

I was able to copy Cyrus' sword style, however it is a much more rough and weaker since I haven't focused on honing and sharpening it. But since she isn't as skilled as Cyrus was, it should be good enough.

She lunged forwards, her katana approaching my chest. I tilted my body, letting the katana pass. I swung down on her, but she quickly rolled out of the way.

Standing back up, she pulled something from her back. It was a second freaking katana, which was also glowing pink!

She held both of them, before suddenly dashing at me. Swinging her sword down, I easily deflected it. Her second sword came in from the side right after, making it harder it deflect.

She swung her first sword once more, and I had to resort to a dodge in order to not get hit. She's much more skilled with both swords than only one.

Is she ambidextrous like Amber?!

She didn't give me a chance to take a break, immediately swinging her swords at me once more. I dodged them, but one of them scraped against my cheek.

A small cut was left on my cheek, slowly dripping blood.

This isn't working. I need to disarm her.

I quickly rushed at her before she could approach me. Swinging my sword, she blocked it with one of hers, just as I expected.

She swung her sword at me, but I targeted her wrist with my free hand, hitting it just correctly to make her hand release her katana.

I knew the Lightning Palm Style would come in handy.

Her eyes widened as one of her katanas clattered against the ground. Using this moment I pushed her other sword back, sending a punch straight to her face.

She staggered backwards, clutching at her gas mask. It started to crack in multiple areas.

What's so important about that gas mask?

She brought her hand to her mask, her fingers starting to glow white as she touched it. The mask then repaired, looking as good as new.

What the hell?! Wasn't that Holy Magic?! How the hell did she repair her mask with that?! That only works on injuries!

She looked me in the eyes, before giving me a wink. Instantly my body involuntarily froze, my cheeks starting to heat up strangely.

I can't move! Damn it! What is this?!

She started to run at me, eyes determined to kill as she pointed her katana at me. It was like pinning the tail on the donkey, but it was a sword heading for my heart.

Move Ken, move!! MOVE!!!!

I felt the strange hold on me slightly break, allowing me to barely move. Instead of my heart, the sword missed and went straight through my side.

...eh?

Her eyes widened as I stared at her, throwing my head back and slamming it into her. She stumbled backwards, clutching her head in pain.

I looked down at my own body. I had control of it once more, but now there was a katana sticking through my side.

Oh god...

I touched near the wound, slightly flinching. Bringing my hands up to my face, they were soaked in sticky crimson blood.

Oh god...I just almost died...

I felt my breath speed up as I realized that if I hadn't moved I would have been dead. Dead. No second chance, no one to save me.

The Pink Death grabbed her other katana. She rushed at me once more, ready to finish the job.

"This. Ends. Now." I growled.

Fire erupted around me in a burning blaze, making the assassin jump back to avoid the flames. A circle of fire now shielded me, keeping me safe.

Loki morphed in my hands, changing back from the sword into the staff. I pointed the staff at her, charging fire into the end of it.

This time, I'm putting enough intensity to knock her out.

Her eyes widened as a flaming laser shot at her. She quickly dodged it, before throwing an item onto the floor.

Smoke filled the tunnel, and as it faded she had disappeared. What is she, a ninja? I looked all directions, but I couldn't see her anymore.

Damn it!

I swept my arm, calming the flames down. The flames dissipated, leaving the tunnel empty. Only I was still here.

Damn it, she got away!

And then my side suddenly started to burn in an agonizing pain that I've never felt before. I looked back down at my side where the sword was stuck.

I collapsed to my knees, my legs weak.

I almost died...I almost died...there's a sword stuck in my abdomen...it even pierced the other side...

I slowly pulled my phone out, my hand shaking from a mixture of post-fear and pain. I fumbled in a number, before bringing the phone to my ear.

"Yes?" Irene asked from the phone.

"Help..." I weakly said.

"What?!" Irene exclaimed. "What's wrong?!"

"I...almost died..." I grunted out. "Injured..."

"We'll be right there." Irene stated, hanging up.

I'm not even going to ask how she knows where I am...

Blood dripped onto the floor, starting to create a pool. I need Yui here, quick. She'll be able to heal this wound...

My vision started to go blurry, probably because of the blood loss. As I waited and tried to fight off the inviting sleep, I thought back about the fight.

Who was that assassin...she seemed so...familiar? But I know I've never met or heard of a Pink Death before...

And she's an Arcana wielder...she used Holy Magic...not to mention that wink which froze me up...that was unnatural...

Don't go asleep yet...

Don't go asleep yet...

It hurts...so much...

"Ken!" I heard Irene scream.

Multiple sets of footsteps entered my ears. Weakly looking up, I noticed that Irene, Iris, Erica, Lily, Yui, and even Goku and Amber were running towards me.

"Yui! Heal him!" Irene screamed, crouching down next to me.

"I'm going to pull this out, okay?" Irene then softly asked, before yanking the sword out and letting it clatter to the floor. She pulled my shirt up, showing everyone the stab that went straight through my body.

They all gasped at the injury.

Yui quickly put her glowing hands on the wound, and the pain slightly faded. It still hurt like a bitch though...

"This is..." Yui muttered as she stared at the wound, cocentrating. "This is going to take a while...it went straight through..."

"What happened?" Irene worriedly asked me once more.

"The Pink Death...she attacked me..." I grunted.

"That bitch!" Amber growled. "And just when I thought we could get along..."

"Irene?" I weakly said.

"What?" She asked.

I weakly grabbed her, making her lean towards me before suddenly placing my lips onto hers, licking them in a sweet kiss.

Irene froze in surprise at the sudden affection.

"Thank you..." I smiled.
