"So, you're one of the representatives for the tournament, and you want me to give you special training to be prepared for it?" Goku questioned.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"I can do that. But why are they here?" Goku wondered.

I turned around, seeing Irene, Iris, Lily, Erica, and Yui all behind me.

"Iris suggested a 'group training session'." I sighed.

I think you got that mixed up with group study sessions, Iris.

"Uh, alright then." Goku sweatdropped. "Well, I should start training you then. After all, a month goes by quickly."

"At least, usually." Goku said, a dangerous grin growing on his face. "But by the time this month is over, you'll be wishing you were dead."

"W-wait a second." I nervously replied. "W-what are you talking about-!"

Goku grabbed me by the collar of my shirt, holding me in the air. "You're strong, but you seriously need to work on your body muscle and endurance."

He looked towards the girls. "You can train in here. No one else should come. I'm going to take Ken outside for some endurance training."

I mouthed out "Help me" to them in a desperate attempt to escape.

A sadistic grin grew on Yui's face as she shook her head no.

Damn you sadist!

I was dragged outside by Goku, where he tied a rope to my waist, and at the other end of the rope was a tire. Goku sat in the tire, looking at me.

"All right, now do five laps around the neighborhood like this." He stated.

"...what?" I asked, wondering if he was serious.

"Chop chop." He grinned, pulling out a whip.

Holy hell where did you get that?!

What the hell?!

I quickly started to move, pulling the tire and Goku behind me. The rope pressed against my skin, trying to tug me backwards.

I trudged on, every step feeling harder than the last as I dragged them. It felt like an hour until I finished the first lap, and I was so sweaty you'd think I just went into the rain.

"That's one lap." Goku stated. "Now only four more."

Today was the day I finally understood why everybody had quit Goku's training except for Amber and I.

His training before was hard, but it got easier over time.

But this? This...is hell on Earth.

I continued to drag Goku, moving around the neighborhood for my second lap.

I'm not going to let this beat me!

But holy crap is this tough...

The second lap finished, and I was like a fish out of water, desperately gulping up the air around me. My face was so hot, there was no doubt it looked like a tomato.

On to lap three...

My bones were creaking, my skin was burning, but I didn't care. I'd keep going...keep going...

I'm not giving up, just like a certain baldy head op cape-man.

As I was finishing my third lap, I noticed someone was near the entrance of the Dojo.

"Closed...?" Amber muttered, confused.

"Hey Amber!" Called out Goku, waving.

"Hey Dad-" Amber said, looking over. "What the hell?!"

"Lap three...done..." I coughed out, taking huge breaths of air.

"Dad?! What the hell are you doing to him?!" Amber cried out.

I started to move again, like a turtle with an anvil on his back. Every time I lifted my foot up, it was almost as if the gravity of the world had increased, trying to splat me onto the ground.

"Well, Ken asked me to get him trained and prepared for the Tournament since he became a representative." Goku explained.

"I know that, I go to his school, and I was going to congratulate him!" Amber argued. "But look at him! He looks like he's dying of suffocation!"

"He's fine." Goku waved her off.

"Fuck...you..." I rasped out.

"Honestly, I'm surprised he can still talk." Goku added.

The fourth lap was hell. Hell if you multiplied it by one-hundred. My bones felt like weak, little, sticks and my waist felt like it could snap in half.

But I continued on.

The only different thing about lap four was that Amber walked with us, arguing with her father. And then also the fact that this was the toughest lap yet.

But as I neared the Dojo, a sense of relief washed over me as I realized I was almost done with this lap. And then a sense of dread.

One last lap was left.

"Are you sure he's not going to just die?" Amber worriedly asked.

"I can...do...it..." I muttered, my voice weakly said, barely leaving my lungs. I had to push so hard on my lungs to get it out.

"Come on Amber, let him do it." Goku replied.

"Fine." Amber sighed. "But if he collapses, I'm taking care of him."

That's an interesting requirement...

Pushing the thought out of my head, I started the final lap. I knew that if I let my consciousness slip for a moment, I really would lose my consciousness.

The slightest movement was pure agony. My bones creaked and I was a little afraid that they would snap.

Sweat rolled down my face in waves, like the high-tide of an ocean. It soaked my clothes, as if I had taken a bath with them on.

My legs wobbled, my face faltered, my arms creaked, my waist groaned, as this was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life.

But I did it. I arrived at the Dojo, finishing the final lap. Immediately I collapsed to the ground, cool air rushing into my lungs and saving me from the burning feeling.

"Are you okay?!" Amber worriedly asked, turning me over and looking at me.

"E.....eh...." I tried to get out the word "yes", but I couldn't even.

"Wow." Goku said, standing up and walking over. "I didn't actually expect him to finish it."

"What?!" Amber screeched at him.

"Well, I thought he'd quit at the second lap!" Goku argued. "I've never seen someone his age get even close to completing that! I didn't think he'd continue until the end, the stubborn bastard!"

"You better hope he gets better soon, or else Irene have your head." Amber growled.

"Oh fuck..." Goku paled.

Amber looked at me, a contemplative look in her eyes. She was debating about something, but whatever it was I had no clue.

And then she sat down on her knees, and put my head onto her lap.

Eh?

Looking up into her eyes, I realized that she had the same look in her eyes that all of the other girls did.

...she's gone yandere.

...why do I do this to myself?

...

Her lap pillow is nice...

And thus, I fell into sleep.

When I woke up, I was greeted with the sight of Irene punishing Goku with the cinder block on knees method while the other girls were arguing on who got to give me a lap pillow next.

These days of training flashed by, and progressively started to get easier as I started to build more muscle, endurance and strength.

By the end of it, dragging the tire was so much easier, though I still dreaded when I'd have to do it.

The tire wasn't the only training method I did. I also trained other parts, like how I finished mastering the Lightning Palm Style, and some other things as well...

And then it came. Time for the Festival of Snow, but now I had a new repertoire of skills under my belt.

Time for Arc 5.
