Morning came and well, we're all in the dining room, waiting for Thadd to finish his cooking.

"Yo, what's keeping you up in there?" Benina called, getting impatient to wait for Thadd to finish what he was cooking.

I knew this will happen so I got the alternative and fed Keio with cereals and gave him some milk. If the adults can hold their hunger for long hours, the kids can't. They get hungry every time than adults.

"Woman, remember that I'm cooking breakfast for five persons!"

"Talk back, you man, eggs and pancakes are easier than adobo and rice!"

"Clapback to you, I'm not cooking eggs and pancakes! I cook fried rice and chickens!"

Early morning, early arguments. I don't know why, but these two just loves shooting each other with bickering words.

While the two were "talking" to each other, I turned my head towards 006 who was taking a sip of his oolong tea.

"Hey, we haven't seen your room yet," I told him since after the chess game last night, we decided to take a rest.

He nodded and answered, "Later, after training."

I blink couple of times before nodding back at him and turn my gaze back to Keio who was eating his breakfast.

"I heard Thadd, he's cooking rice and chicken. I can still eat more, right?" the kid asked that made me smile at him.

"Of course, as long as you can still carry yourself later in our training." Keio then smiled and finished off his cereals fast. But he still had some milk in his glass—perhaps to wait for his rice and chicken that Thadd was cooking.

We're now in the said training room after we prepared ourselves from our quarter, lining up like soldiers-in-training.

"Good morning, Team Delta. I am Eleven Trove Vaynerchuk. Your training-in-charge."

That voice... I stiffened when I heard him again. This time, not as my hand-man or the infirmary doctor.

Even.

I almost choked myself when I heard his name. It was even worst than what he's usually called to.

"Doctor, your name is weirder than yesterday," Keio innocently spat that made us except for 006 to chuckle. Of course, we then stopped a second to laugh to not let ourselves be in dire situations.

Even then smiled and leaned to the kid, "Well, that's why I'm special right? Your training will be different from these adults later."

I can't see the reaction that Keio had in his face, but I felt his uncomfortable feeling towards the said doctor.

"So!" He clapped his hands. "Let's start! But first, I would like to know what expertise all of you had acquired from the last phase. Start with Keio," he said as he gestured his hand to Keio. "Please take the weapon you used from the last time."

The kid then nodded and goes straight to the table to look for the weapon he used. When he saw what it is, he then took it and showed the weapon to Even.

"Hm, a belt of explosives." He turned his gaze to Thadd's and the teen needed no words of what he has to do. He also took the two swords. Benina took the bows nd arrows, me with two guns, then 006 with daggers.

When we had the weapons at hand, Even then instructed us to our separate cubicles.

"In the middle of the field was a sole target. All of you must use your weapons to shoot the target to know who can be capable for long-ranges. Now Keio, start again with you."

Keio threw his bomb to the field, but it failed to reach the target and the explosions didn't hit a bit of the target board. Even didn't show his disappointment to the kid, but he didn't took a glance on him as he then turned his gaze to Thadd. Of course, the teen reprimanded that he chose swords, not guns.

"You never know, swords can also kill a human when it is thrown with the right angle. Why don't you try?"

He did. But like our kid mate, he also failed to hit the target. His sword even went overboard and hit the ground approximately five feet yards away, just behind the target's. And again, Even didn't show his dissatisfaction towards him.

Benina was next, she took an arrow and I saw how she breathed in to focus herself in shooting the arrow to the target. When she released the arrow, it went straight to the target in the middle. Bullseye.

"Archer, passed. Next, Ami."

My sweats began to drip from my nape when I heard him saying my name. You can do this, Amalfi.

While assembling my gun, I felt my hands getting jittery as it shakes from time to time.

I breathed myself to calm my self before taking my aim to the target. I know it was just board, but my nervousness was slowly rising up. Probably because I felt the pressure coming from Even's gazes on me. This must how the two boys felt when they tried to hit the target board using their acquired weapons.

I positioned myself like how characters from a movie do it. While taking my aim, I calmed myself and focused my sight to the aim before shooting the bullet to my target.

It hits the target points, but not the same with Benina's who shoot the bullseye. But it was nearest to it, enough to make me calmed down a bit. At least it didn't go wayward.

"Shooter, passed. Next, 006."

When it was 006's turn, it didn't took him a long time to prepare himself. He just flipped his dagger in his hand and instantly shoot the target in bullseye. He didn't even blink when he had done it.

All of us were surprised. His dagger splits Benina's arrow.

"Sear, passed."

After the quick test of our weapons, Even handed us pieces of papers. Probably our guide for the whole week of training. He then stood in front of a stand-alone white board and took his marker.

"This whole week of training, you will only have fifteen minutes of break and eight hours of sleep. I suggests no games in durations of the training to discipline yourselves. Since this is the first day of our training, we will have to train for the weapons first. Keio and Thadd will have special training for their expertise while Benina, Ami, and 006 will undergo for long-range and short-range fights. Thadd will of course have train for the short-range. Kids shouldn't be allowed in this field but for Keio's case, his training will solely be for explosives and other trainings his body could handle. Benina and Ami are the ones for long-ranges, hence these ladies will have more shooting trainings from then on. Thadd and 006 are for short-ranges." He then faced us and walked beside the board. "Are we clear?" he asked.

I took a glance at the board where he wrote the plans for our training. I raised my hand.

"Yes, Ami?"

"You said Benina and I will be on long-range while Thadd and 006 on the short-range, why—wait.." I looked again at the board. "Does that mean, our training will be different from each other based on how we handled our weapons?"

"Well, yes," Even answered. "And also no. Yes, because you will be trained differently and no, because technically, you have to use your skills with and against each other."

"So the training is not just about how we use our weapons, but to also use them in all aspects possible," 006 chided that made our Trainor nod in agreement.

"There's also a possibility that one of you will be unable to use their weapon, so for that, all of your will be trained with different kinds of weapons possible. And now that we know how to handle yourselves with your skills, harness your skills for the whole day. I'll give a bell for the break later." He then turned his gaze towards Thadd and Keio. "You two, follow me. The rest will practice your weapons."

The three then went to the other door while me, Benina, and 006 practiced ourselves on how to use our weapons according to what we know about them.

It's exhausting, but I enjoyed wasting the bullets.
